Episode One: Horns

Ashla Moltono opened her eyes slowly, moving her head slightly, earning a groan from her girlfriend. Ash glanced at Marcy, who was sleeping beside her and found that one of her new horns had smacked her in the face when she went to get up. "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry mi amor!" apologized Ash, shooting up in the bed. "It's fine," assured Marcy, "They're new horns. What can you do?" Ash sighed and rolled out of bed, hitting one of her horns on the dresser. She cried out in pain and held it tightly. Marcy jumped out of bed and ran to her aid. "Are you okay?" she asked. "I'm fine," Ash replied, "I just need to get better control of them." She then stood up and walked out of the door, her horns getting caught on the doorframe.

Ash sat down on the couch and groaned. "Rough morning?" asked Anne. "You could say that," Ash replied. "She hit her horns on everything," stated Marcy, "I had to keep the pictures in the stairwell from falling as she walked down." Ash glared at Marcy. She felt her heart drop and instantly turned around and walked into the kitchen. "I'm tired of these things getting in the way all the time!" groaned Ash, "Not to mention that I have a reminder of everything that happened every time I look in the mirror!" "Uhm, hello?" questioned Anne, raising her robotic arm, "Have you seen the rest of us recently? Marcy has a permanent scar on her chest, Sasha's eye is still recovering but was originally blind, and do I even have to explain my arm?" "Yeah that last one was kinda my fault," admitted Ash. "Look," said Anne, "My point is that we all have our battle scars from that, some more noticeable than others. But you shouldn't treat them like they're something to be ashamed of or held back by. I walk into school everyday waving at people with this hand, which, may I remind you, is metal! Sasha used to wear an eyepatch when her eye was completely blind, but now, she's totally comfortable having the scar there. How do you think Marcy feels? If it wasn't you, it would've been her. Not to mention that she was dead." "I get it, Anne," sighed Ash, "I just wish they weren't in the way…" "Well can't you use your powers over reality to fix that?" suggested Sasha. Ashla's face went completely blank. "Holy cow you're right," stated Ash. Ash held up her hand and it glowed red. A red aura surrounded her horns and they immediately shrunk to half the size. "It was this simple the whole time!" groaned Ash. "Told ya," snickered Sasha, "Now come on! Breakfast is ready."
