Journal entry #2
8:54 A.M.
Well everything that happened yesterday wasn't a dream, even though I already accept before. I woke on my bed just grumbling gibberish as my tail involuntarily swished left and right, the thing has a mind of its own.
That reminds me, I should really get some bearing on this new body of mine, if I get some time. Breathing fire sounded a bit fun, just to lift a small weight out of my shoulders. I might try it somewhere less flammable, however. If my new body does breathe fire, but looking at myself, I may breathe grass or something.
But enough about that, my goal for today was to find a generator to charge up my phone and call every single one that is in my contacts.
But first things first, breakfast and Lay's here I come.
9:16 A.M.
I just finished taking a shower a few minutes back and I just realized that the water is still running. Which is a great discovery, I may not need to worry about that.
I'm currently outside my apartment, just a cross the street. My plan was to head to a fast food restaurant where I work or worked part time. It would be a thirty minute walk or more from where I'm from but it would be worth it, considering I know where the keys that let will let me drag that thing out of its protective cage.
I might try getting gas for that thing, just in case, but I think we had a spare supply for it.
10:06 A.M.
I reached the restaurant and luckily for me its unlocked and after checking the back I found the generator still intact, the keys were hanging near the drive thru window.
I still haven't checked if it has gas still in it, but I'm sure it does. Haven't seen the spare gas container, though. I might need to get some later on, I'll just use the eight gallon water container to store it.
As I'm writing this though, I can't help but wonder when this 'Great Disappearance' occurred. Seeing the restaurant unlocked, made me think this happened some where at eight in the evening and to add to that theory is that the chairs in the restaurant were disarranged, like there were still people sitting on them and then they disappeared. I don't know, but its a theory.
I should get started on getting the generator out of that cage.
11:02 A.M.
Turns out the generator doesn't have gas anymore and I searched the entire restaurant, and still no sign of the gas container. Which is a bummer. But I already managed to get the generator out from the cage, but the gas would be the problem.
I may need to trek to a gas station nearby to get some gas.
11:23 A.M.
Never mind, I just remembered that there's no power to pump out the gas, just as I reached here.
Stupid! STUPID!
1:34 P.M.
I still smell like gas, after washing up for more than hour. I should not have gotten down in the gas station's storage tank.
Why did I though that was a great idea?!
I still smell, I wonder if this will permanently be on me for the rest of my life. I pray it come off, its starting to irritate my nose, and its starting to make it sting. But hey, I got the gasoline I wanted and I guess I got to know what it feels to go swimming on gasoline. Which was a terrible experience, would not recommend, I just got lucky that when I got out from that, there wasn't a gray mustached general ready to light me up with his cigar.
Yep. Still smell.
I should get something to eat as well.
Hey that rhymed!
2:49 P.M.
If your wondering if I still smell, I still smell. But hey, I managed to get the generator running and I already managed charged my phone. It's currently at twelve percent, I will start calling my contacts soon after it reaches around thirty percent.
The generator is loud as usual, and I pray that it would be great thing for me, because someone may hear it and come to where I'm at and I wouldn't be alone anymore. I really hope to God that there is someone out here.
4:34 P.M.
I have spent an hour or more trying to get through some one in my contacts and I still can't get through someone. My mom, my dad, my brother, my sister, my relatives, my friends and heck even the police wasn't active.
I'm starting to get worried, what if I'm indeed the only one left in this planet. I th-
No. No. No, they're fine, my family is fine, maybe don't have power back home. Yes. Yes. That's it. They are fine.
They are fine.
5:04 P.M.
I'm currently a few blocks up north from the restaurant, took a place to rest in a building's waiting lounge, because I swear I saw a huge shadow passed over the road by the restaurant, just a few moments ago.
I sounded like it was buzzing, like a bug, but I swear I saw a shadow passed!
I'm not going insane, I know what I saw. I think it went sowhere through here, just next to the building that was under construction, before I lost track of it.
I may not be alone.
5:57 P.M.
It's starting to get dark and the only light source at this place is the restaurant. I think, I'll stay a little longer to see if the one that owned that shadow comes here.
I went through my last bag of Lay's and Oreos just now, this dragon body really does have a big appetite. I'll try getting some food tomorrow, though, I might get the healthy ones for now.
It's really dark outside, almost like its eating the road and buildings but just stopping at the boundary to where the light from the restaurant reached its limit.
I'm surprised that I haven't gone mad after all this, I haven't had anyone to talk to for two days now. I m-
My phone just rang, I thought it was a call, I even smiled. Turns out it was just a reminder from past me that I needed to submit my presentation tonight. Totally forgot about that. But hey, there's no more school.
I really thought that was call, for a moment.
Also I found something weird, my phone's date for today is January 21, 2022, but I swear it slept in the evening of January 14, 2022. Did I really slept that long or did I just accidentally set up the date wrong?
Screw it. I'll figure it out later.
6:32 P.M.
I turned off the generator now, to conserve fuel. Placed it inside the restaurant instead of putting it back in the cage thing, no one was going to steal the thing anyway.
No one came, surprise, surprise! It's fully dark now, well not really the moon was partially full and it gave a bit of light.
But that shadow, I swear, I wasn't seeing things because of being alone for a couple of days. I think I might try searching for it, I still have enough time. I'll try playing music my phone to get some attention, I hope they like my taste of music.
I'm going to play Country Roads by John Dever, everybody universally knows that.
7:12 P.M.
Took a bit of a water break in a grocery store, I decides to replace the song to 'Life is a Highway'. Thought it would fit a bit.
Still no sign of the owner of that shadow, I'll try going a couple of blocks west to where I last saw it before heading back to my apartment.
7:46 A.M.
I managed to find a car with its hood open and missing a battery. I know it could be just someone who tried to recharge their battery right before they disappeared but there are claws marks on the hood and the driver's door.
I quickly tried to shout if someone was nearly but nothing. Its either they left or had gone somewhere, I'm now sure that I'm not alone, someone was here with me in the city.
I tore a page off my journal and placed it under the wiper. Wrote a note saying 'If you see this, I'm going to back here first thing in the morning. I'm so happy that I'm not the only one here, don't worry, I also got turned into a green leaf looking dragon. I assume you got turned into one too, but don't worry, I just want someone to talk to.'
8:49 P.M.
I'm back in my apartment now and can't help but smile, to know that I'm not alone now.
I can finally talk to someone, a real person or dragon or I don't know. May be we (I'm using the word 'we' now) can get to the bottom of this, track down how this happened and get our old bodies back, be human again, and possibly get everyone back.
But I might try going back to my home in Panglao to see my family, I'm sure that they are still there.
They are still there.
I'm sure.
