It was that time of the year when the students stay inside their rooms almost every hour of the day. When they try to learn everything they should have already learn. But we're not gonna lie, it was better to leave all the hard work for the last minute. It was test time.
Blake used to study everyday a little bit to make the things easier, but for her own confidence she usually did a general review the week before exams. Yang, on the other hand, was the type that go with the flow, trusting in her good luck and praying before the results. She liked practice, not the theory.
And here we are. The couple was in their room, trying to focus on the pages of the books. Blake was really on it, but her girlfriend was starting to get distracted.
"Blake, are you done?"
The faunus rose her gaze to look at the blonde, knowing what was coming next.
"Yang, we've been studying less than a half of hour."
"Yeah, I know, but you're like super smart, so maybe you're super-fast memorizing stuff and all."
Blake looked down to the book again. "No, Yang, I'm not done. Try to read a little more. If you don't understand anything I'll help you."
She made a pout. Even if her girlfriend tried to help her they still had an entire week to study. They didn't need to stress. Watching how Blake stared at the book, taking notes and closing her eyes to repeat the lesson in her mind, she accepted to focus. But it didn't last more than 10 minutes.
"So, Blake…"
The brunette didn't answer and ignored the blonde, not wanting to lose concentration.
"Aren't you hungry? Reading makes you hungry, right?"
Yang didn't hear a sound. It was clear her girlfriend's mood was different from hers, so she got up and went to take something to eat. She came back fast holding a chocolate bar in her mouth. She sat down again, thinking that maybe eating something she could study better.
She was wrong again.
The blonde wasn't the most fan of school subjects but she did get good grades. Not as good as Blake's but it wasn't her plan to be the top student, anyway. It's just that she had her own way to make those things and studying more than five minutes knowing the test wasn't tomorrow… not matched her style.
"Hey Blake, since the test is next week… do you want to do something funnier right now?"
Her girlfriend bookmarked the book and closed it. That was a good sign for Yang. That's what her thought until the faunus talked.
"Look, I love you but I need you to go away because you're distracting and I want to be sure I can pass this test."
"You always pass tests with the highest notes!"
"And I do that because I study."
Yang kept silent.
"Well, maybe you're right, but…"
Blake stood up and approached to the door, opening it, sending an invitation to the blonde to go away and leave her study in peace.
"Yang."
"Oh, c'mon, you're kicking me out, babe?"
The faunus nodded. Yang went to the door and went outside, looking at Blake, just to speak her final words.
"If you get bored and you start missing your beautiful girlfriend-" but she couldn't end her phrase. Blake pecked her at the cheek and closed the door, being finally alone in the room without a cute girl distracting her every minute.
"You're gonna miss me!" The faunus heard outside the dorm.
Blake smiled. He felt bad for kicking Yang out of the room but she really took her studies seriously. One day she and Weiss were talking about tests and the heiress confessed she used to let Ruby out of her session study. At that time, the faunus thought it wasn't necessary to do that with Yang but she came to the conclusion that it was better to do so. They seemed to be sisters with same manners.
The faunus decided that even if she felt a little bad, it was her time to be free of distractions and she was going to seize the time. She could prepare Yang a tasting dinner after that.
Time fled while Blake lost track of time. Finally, she was able to fulfill her duties and was almost finishing all the important topics for the test. She just needed a couple of things to be sure of her own knowledge.
After a couple of hours she heard the door opening and blonde hair peeking out.
"Can I?"
Blake was touched by that question and the tone Yang used it.
"Of course you can, love."
Yang closed the door behind her and looked at her while the faunus was picking up her things.
"Are you done? If not, I swear I can be here completely quiet!"
Blake laughed. Watching her girlfriend's face right now she didn't need the urge to finish the last chapters needed for the test. When she noticed Yang came back, the faunus decided she wanted to stay with her. Maybe she did missed her after all.
"You don't need to be quiet anymore." Replied Blake.
"Can I feel a second intention in those words?" Asked her, with a grin in her face.
"Maybe."
Blake had left all the books inside the drawers and she was ready to love Yang. The faunus came closer to the fighter and placed her hands on her girlfriend's hips. Later, she captured Yang's lips between her owns, feeling that familiar warmth she loved. They closed her eyes feeling the soft touch. The blonde started stroking Blake's hair, caressing her. She just moved slightly her face away to mention something.
"If I knew studying got you like this I would pay teachers to make a test every day."
Blake kissed her girlfriend again, guiding her to the bed.
"Now is the right time to really distract me."
"Guess I know how to do that." Yang said with a smirk on her face.
"Totally."
