Alcina groaned as she leaned back into the pillows, Donna quickly heading round to help her get more comfortable.
"I'm so sorry," she apologised. "Was I not meant to do anything. I thought Ethan was..."
"No, he's actually been..." She cut herself off at bearing down again before taking a breath while getting comfortable again.
"I only got half of the story. I'm sorry, Cina." She sighed, as she used the damp wash cloth to dab her sisters sweaty head.
"What am I supposed to be seeing here?" Angie now asked from under Alcina's dress. "Its so damn dark in here!"
Donna lifted Alcina's dress a little, letting a bit of light in.
"Ohhh, ohhh."
"What!?" Alcina asked, pushing herself up a little.
"Easy," Donna comforted her. "She can see the baby's head."
Alcina looked to Donna now, surprise written all over her face.
"T-The head?" she stammered in shock.
"It's so white," Angie pointed out.
"White?" Alcina asked before getting struck with another painful contraction.
"Yep, white as bone. Ohhhhh, ohhhhh! More, there's more!"
Alcina dropped back again, this was the worst pain she'd ever been through. Even worse than her time with her disease.
"You can do it, sister." Donna encouraged softly, while gently wiping her face with the cloth.
"Ethan!" Bela was heard followed by her sisters.
"Kill me! You'll kill me!" Daniela screamed.
"I'll kill you!" Cassandra raged.
"Donna, please." Alcina grimaced.
"But what about you?"
"I'll be fine," she groaned, pushing back into the pillows again.
"She has me," Angie jumped up and down under Alcina's dress.
Donna gave a nod, turning to head off only Alcina grabbed her wrist.
"Be careful," she warned her. "My daughter's can withstand most attacks you can't."
Donna gave another nod before quickly heading out as Alcina forced herself to push again before groaning loudly.
"Stay strong, sister." She said as she headed for the stairs.
"Rose, daddy's coming! He'll find you, sweetie. Just hang tight."
"Auntie!" Daniela now swarmed over to quickly tackle her as a bullet struck the wall right where she'd been standing.
"T-Thank you," Donna thanked her as Daniela continued to shield her.
"How do we stop him?" she asked.
"I need to..."
"Ahhhh!" Bela snarled, lunging at his neck. "Cass, now!"
Ethan squirmed underneath the pair. Daniela now climbed off Donna to allow her to go over to Ethan and ease the hallucinations he was having. He calmed then.
"I'm sorry, girls. I thought he was hurting your mother." Donna sighed as Daniela hugged her.
"It was fun," Daniela giggled.
"Yes, Dani, getting shot was fun!" Cassandra glared at her sister.
"I'm sorry," Donna apologised again.
"Its fine, aunty." Cassandra now added herself to the bear hug.
"I think we'd better go see, mother." Bela reminded them all as she grabbed Ethan by the ankle to drag him off with her.
They quickly headed back upstairs, Ethan getting stuck a few times, so Bela had to lift him up.
"More! Keep going I want to see more!" Angie was heard yelling.
"Do you know how much this fucking hurts!?" Alcina bellowed in response.
The girls turned to look at each other, it was the first time mother had swore. She must be in serious pain. Donna quickly rushed into the room to take to her sisters side, the wash cloth back in hand again.
"Mama," Daniela cooed as she climbed upon the bed beside her, taking her hand in hers.
Bela dropped Ethan to the floor, leaving him in a heap.
"Ahhh, what happened?" Alcina asked. "Did he hurt any of you?"
"No, mother." Cassandra and Bela shook their heads in response.
"I'm glad," she groaned as Bela now lifted her dress to find Angie playing with the small white strands of hair on top of the baby's head.
Bela had never seen such a colour in hair before, it surprised her. But thankfully the baby's face looked as any baby should look, only bigger, far bigger than a normal baby. Then again that was to be expected what with their mother's height.
"The heads out, mother!" Bela smiled as Cassandra now headed over to take a peek.
"Her hairs like snow," Cassandra commented, as her gloved fingers brushed over the tiny hairs.
Alcina braced herself once more as more pain flooded through her.
"Keep going, Cina. You can do it."
"Yeah, mama. I want to see my baby sister." Daniela whined next to her.
"You'll see her when you see her!" Alcina groaned as she slumped back into the pillows to catch her breath.
Her body said now and so she had little choice in the matter of when she got a break.
"Push! Push!" Angie cheered as more of the child slipped free. "Her hand's as big as mine. Maybe bigger?"
Bela raised her hands to support the head, she didn't know where it had come from, she just seemed to know.
"Come on, mother!"
Cassandra looked up at her mother, who was now fighting for a more comfortable position. Donna was prepping up the pillows a little more for her, but it still wasn't enough.
"Can't you just pull it out!?" she groaned.
"No, I won't hurt you or the baby." Bela told her straight.
"Just push!" Angie slapped her leg.
"I'll strangle you in a minute," Alcina hissed as she pushed once again to collapse. "How much more?"
"One more push, mother." Cassandra told her, while looking to Bela for confirmation.
She nodded in response.
"Just one more push, Cina."
A small grunt was heard from the floor. Ethan had awoken and was now holding his head in his hands.
"Uh, what happened?" he asked as Alcina gave one more screaming push.
The baby slipped out into Bela's hands and she was speechless for a moment or two.
"S-she's beautiful," she stammered as Alcina collapsed back with a smile.
The baby squirmed as the cold air hit her damp skin, making her shiver and that's when she let it be known she had lungs like her mother.
"Um, maybe you should hold her." Bela now offered her over as Donna and Daniela now got a good look at her.
"She looks like you, mama." Daniela smiled.
Bright yellow eyes closed as she now yawned, she seemed content in her mother's arms. Though as on cue, she squirmed and turned on her side, her hand reaching out to grab at her mothers dress, her tiny mouth trying to find the very thing she needed to suckle on.
"Here you go, sweetie." Alcina now smiled as she lowered her dress.
The baby latched on immediately and began to suckle wildly, her hand kneading the breast beneath her to get more milk blood. Alcina was overjoyed with her little bundle of joy in her arms, as her daughter's and sister drew closer.
"May I?" Donna asked.
"Of course, you can." Alcina gestured to her.
Donna let her fingers brush up against the baby's hair. She couldn't believe how much she resembled her mother.
"Congratulations," Ethan spoke up from the back before hanging his head. "I hope I didn't cause too much trouble?"
Alcina shook her head.
"I'm sorry I put you through that, Mr Winters." Donna now stepped in. "I thought Alcina was in trouble and I..."
"I understand," Ethan sighed as Donna now went to pick up the container from Angie.
"Um, here's my part of Rose. I hope you can get the rest," she offered him the next part.
He took it from her, looking to the label. Name: Rose Part: Legs
"Thanks for this," he nodded to now pick up the flask with Roses head. "Uh, I, um. I just wondered if you could hold onto them for me. Just...Just until I get the rest of her and..."
"Leave them with us, Ethan." Alcina gestured for him to place them on the table beside her. "We've taken good care of her up to now."
"Thank you," he nodded, ready to turn to head out.
"Ethan!" Alcina stopped him.
He turned to her, watching as she handed her baby to her daughter.
"I have something you should take with you."
"S-shouldn't You be resting? You've just had a baby!" he gestured to the child in Cassandra's arms.
"I thank you for your concern, Ethan. But my body heals rapidly," she reminded him. "However, I do have one weakness and that being what I am about to show you."
He looked confused at this. Why was she offering up something dangerous to her? Anyhow, he followed her on, through two sets of doors and up a stone staircase open to the elements to what looked to be a small chapel. Inside was a coffin.
"Open it," she gestured.
He looked to her then to the coffin. "Are you sure you should be showing whatever this is."
"Mr Winters, I am a patient woman but right now I'm starting to lose said patience."
He got the picture and opened the coffin. Inside was a skeleton of a man? He believed, holding a large dagger.
"Take it," she told him.
He reached in and took the blade from the dead man's hands.
"I was almost assassinated by that," she said while glaring at the dagger in Ethans hand. "However, the owner got what was coming to him instead."
"And I've got it now for what exactly?"
Alcina rolled her eyes. "I believe if it effects me, then it should work against Miranda as well as those other two idiots."
"Oh, yeah." Ethan now nodded.
"I wish you all the luck, Ethan. Rose is counting on you."
He looked the blade over before determination hit him and he was ready to kill whoever would stand in his way now.
"Don't worry, Rose. Daddy is coming!"
Alcina watched him leave. "If you're truly a strong father, you'll pull through. I believe you have what it takes Ethan. Don't disappoint us."
oOo
Heading for the doors, he took a deep breath before hearing buzzing. Three women materialised in front of him, each one giving him a hug.
"Do it for Rose!"
"Rose is counting on you!"
"You'll be daddy of the decade!"
Alcina smiled as she held her baby, while caressing Bela's head. Donna waved him off with Angie.
"Take care of our little, Rose." She told him.
"Thanks for the help," he too waved as he headed off down the path.
"Ah, Ethan. There you are!" a familiar voice greeted warmly, followed by another.
"E-Ethan! You're alive!" Elena beamed from over the Dukes shoulder.
"I am," he smiled. "And I have two parts of Rose."
"They just gave them to you?" Elena asked bewildered.
Ethan nodded, just as the Dukes smile faded to a frown.
"Ethan, quickly. Into my caravan now!"
"Why, what is it?" Ethan asked, drawing his gun and dagger.
The Duke reached out to grab him quickly and pull him in, shutting the doors behind him just as a bunch of crows now slammed right onto the wood.
"What the hell was that!?" he asked dumbfounded.
"I think someone is angry," the Duke sighed as the onslaught carried on.
It was pure torture to have to listen to the screeches of the birds as well as them dive bombing the caravan.
"What do we do?" Elena screamed over the noise.
"I'm going out there!" Ethan thought determined.
"You'll be killed!"
Just as his hand reached for the door, he heard the loudest roar ever, which was suddenly followed by flames.
"What the hell!?"
The Duke just smiled. "Our dear lady is helping you again."
"What?" Ethan asked, his brows furrowed.
The Duke just smiled as Ethan looked quite puzzled and Elena, well Elena knew something too.
"Tell me!"
"You'll have to wait and see, Mr Winters."
