Happy Easter weekend, everyone! I thought I might just make a fanfic with my comfort characters to celebrate because why not. I hope everyone's feeling great, enjoy the story!

At ten o'clock, Moon and Hau barged into Gladion's room.

"Seriously? Can't I have peace for one day anymore?" Gladion demanded.

"You can, just not this particular day," Moon told him.

"It's Easter, mate!" Hau said.

"It's early," Gladion shot back. "I was going to train, why are you two here?"

"Because egg hunt!" Moon explained unhelpfully.

Gladion raised an eyebrow, and Hau clarified with, "Come on, everyone's going! You do know what an Easter egg hunt is, don't you?"

"I'll say yes to make you go away," Gladion said.

"Have you NEVER celebrated Easter before?!" Moon gasped.

"No. And I don't exactly plan to. Why do you guys care? It sounds exhausting, to be honest."

"It's the best! You are so coming along," Hau decided.

And so, Gladion was quite literally dragged all the way to the national park just outside Hau'oli City.

"Come on, Edgelord, cheer up," Moon said, flicking his ear.

"Don't call me that!"

"Well then stop being so edgy!"

Gladion sighed dramatically, rolling his eyes. On the other side of him, Hau mimicked Gladion's movements, earning himself a glare.

"What's so terrible with hanging out with us anyway?" Hau asked.

"Oh, let's see," Gladion said, very visibly annoyed.

"Here we go," Moon muttered.

"You two drag me everywhere, even when I don't want you to, which I do not understand whatsoever. I mean, come on, don't you have anything better to do? You're gonna fall behind on the Island Challenge!"

"Ppffft, when did you decide to care about that?" Hau said.

"Hau, I think he's saying that he's an edgy teen that 'hAs nO fRiENdS,'" Moon said, both her and Hau falling into laughter.

"Arceus, help me," Gladion said.

The group arrived at a large crowd of people in the centre of the park. Professor Kukui was holding a megaphone, trying to get everyone's attention.

"Of course it has to be the man without the decency to consider wearing a shirt," Gladion said under his breath. Moon and Hau ignored him, instead shushing the people around them.

"Alola to you all, yeah!" Kukui said once everyone was quiet enough. "The rules of this egg hunt is simple! Trainers are permitted one partner Pokémon each to help find 'em all! There are no eggs beyond the boundary of the park, and anyone caught cheating by the volunteers will be immediately disqualified! When the siren rings out, you must meet back here! The smaller eggs are worth one point, medium ones are worth three, and the big ones are worth five points. The person or group with the most points wins! Ready? Go!"

The jostle of overexcited children tearing through the crowd started up instantly, parents jogging after them. Trainers sent Pokéballs into the air and friends grouped together.

"I really don't see the point in all this—" Gladion started.

"Come on!" Moon yelled, grabbing his arm and chasing Hau, who'd already taken off, Raichu at his side. Moon tossed a Pokéball, sending out Dartrix. "Hau, wait up!"

Hau slowed to a stop, allowing them to regroup. "Come on! They'll all be taken!" he said.

"No, the smaller ones will be taken," Moon reasoned.

"Moon, you can let go of me now," Gladion said.

"Oh, sorry. Hey, get your Pokémon out!" Moon told him.

Gladion huffed and brought out Umbreon.

"Okay guys," Hau said. "I've done this every year, I know where the most common hiding places are. Follow me!"

"That kid has way too much energy. Does he live on coffee?" Gladion said as Hau ran off.

"He drinks Tapu Cocoa, now come on!" Moon enthused, both her and Gladion following Hau.

"Alright… guys… There's one… up there…" Hau puffed one they'd reached the dam, pointing into a tree.

"Okay!" Moon said. "Dartrix, go!"

Dartrix flew between the branches and knocked a violet egg from where it was seated between a fork in the tree.

"Yes!" Moon exclaimed, punching a fist in the air, tripping on her shoelaces and falling over. "No! Hau, catch it!"

"Hm?" Hau said, looking up.

Gladion stepped forward to catch the egg before it shattered. "Be more careful," he said as Hau helped Moon up. She grinned.

"Well, at least we now know you're humouring us!" she joked, leaning over to take it from Gladion, but he stepped out of her reach.

"No, take back what you said to me earlier," he said.

"What, about you being an edgelord? Absolutely not, you totally are—give it," Moon said, trying to swipe it from him again, but missing.

Gladion scowled at her. "Fine, but at least tie up your shoes before you face plant again."

Moon bent down and quickly fumbled with her laces. Hau took the egg from Gladion and put it in Moon's bag.

"Considering I'm the one that found it," Hau said, "how about we share them so we have a better chance of winning?"

"Sure!" Moon said, standing up.

"I don't care," Gladion said.

"Okay, then it's decided!"

"Alright, so that's three points," Moon said.

"Eight," Gladion corrected. Moon and Hau looked at him in confusion and he gestured to Umbreon crawling out of a blackberry bush, rolling a large green and yellow egg across the grass.

"Whoa, nice," Moon complimented.

"I guess you're into this after all, Gladion," Hau laughed as Gladion picked up the egg and handed it to Moon.

"I never said I told Umbreon to get it," he tried.

"Sure, whatever. Let's go!" Hau said.

"Wait, Hau, there aren't many people this far out. There might be more around the dam that we can grab before anyone else does," Gladion explained.

"'We?'" Moon repeated, smiling wickedly.

"Shut up," Gladion growled.

"Raichu, go to the other side of the lake and start scoping it out over there," Hau said.

"Dartrix, have a look in the trees," Moon told her Pokémon.

"You know, what happened last time will happen again, only I won't be there to stop the thing from breaking," Gladion pointed out.

"Dartrix can do it," Moon said stubbornly. Gladion sighed in defeat and strode over to the waters edge, walking along the bank.

"Where are you going?" Hau asked.

"Where do you think?"

"I think that Moody has developed a liking for this," Moon said.

"No! The quicker I can get this over and done with, the quicker I can go train as I'd originally planned!" Gladion fumed, Moon and Hau cackling to themselves. Gladion stopped, whipping his head around. "You two are the most annoying people in all of Alola, and that's saying something considering I'm an enforcer for Team Skull!"

Moon and Hau bit their lips, trying to look dead serious, but laughed uncontrollably when Gladion turned away again.

"Genius, if we're so annoying why do you let us drag you everywhere?" Moon demanded with a smirk.

"He loves us," Hau said in an audible whisper. Gladion didn't say anything, probably holding back a rude remark.

"Aha!" Moon cried after a minute, pulling a blue and pink dotted egg out from under a fallen tree branch and stuffing it inside her bag.

"There's a couple smaller ones in the lower branches of that tree," Gladion said, casually waving a hand to the right. Hau collected them while Moon caught an egg from an airborne Dartrix. Umbreon, once again, pushed a gold egg out from under a bush.

"Whoa, you were right, Gladion," Moon admitted as she tried to make room in her satchel. "About scouting 'round here first."

"You'd have reached the same conclusion if you would've stopped and thought instead of speeding off like a wild Tauros," Gladion said shooting Hau a look.

Hau didn't notice, instead running over to a nearby tree. "There's one up there!" he yelped.

"Dartrix left to go find Raichu," Moon apologised. "And there aren't any branches until the one the egg's on… way up there…"

Hau crossed his arms and said, "There is no way we're just gonna leave that there!"

Gladion walked over. "I can't believe I'm about to suggest this," he said.

"What?" Hau rushed.

Gladion looked between him and Moon. "Which one of you is lighter?" he said.

Moon blinked. "You can't lift us that high," she said.

"Look, do you want to get it, or not?"

"I think Moon's lighter than me…" Hau said thoughtfully. "I can spot."

"Sure," Gladion sighed. "Moon, are you okay with me lifting you up?"

Moon nodded. "As long as you don't drop me."

"Well, that's what I'm planning against. Alright, come closer to the trunk and use it as a support.

Moon obeyed, nearly shrieking as Gladion hoisted her up by her waist.

"Put your feet against the trunk," he instructed. Finding a temporary grip with her feet, Moon felt Gladion bend so that she was sitting on his shoulder. "Can you stand?" he asked, his voice a little strained.

"Yep," Moon said, and, using the trunk to balance, carefully stood on one leg, and moved around Gladion's head to stand one foot on his other shoulder. Reaching up, she grabbed the egg and held onto the branch it had been sitting on. "How do I get down?" she asked nervously.

"Hau, hold onto her legs," Gladion told him. "Okay, Moon, lower yourself down."

Moon slowly crouched, feeling Hau's hands support her from behind. Gladion bent down and Moon slid off his shoulders.

"Whew," she said. "We did it!" Gladion stood up and stepped away from her.

"Mission accomplished," he said, stretching.

"That was awesome!" Hau said. "That's how many points now?"

"Err… twenty-two," Moon said, shoving the magenta egg into her bag. "And nothing else'll fit in here."

"Let's go find our Pokémon and move to another area," Hau suggested, leading the way around the dam.

After collecting the eggs that Raichu and Dartrix had found and putting them inside Hau's backpack, the siren sounded and the trio made their way back to the middle of the park.

"Attention, everyone!" Kukui shouted. "Count up your points and tell one of the volunteers in the green vests, yeah!"

Hau ran up to a tall woman and said, "Me and my friends have twenty-eight points!"

The lady nodded and wrote it down. "Team name?" she asked.

"Um… Night Rainbows!" he said. Moon raised an eyebrow at him when he joined them a few steps away from the crowd.

"'Night Rainbows?'" she repeated sceptically. "Where you going to consult us before coming up with that?"

"I had to think of something on the spot!" Hau protested. "Besides, edgy over here wouldn't appreciate 'Rainbow Unicorns,' so I had to think of something."

"I'm not sure if I appreciate the name you changed it to anyway," Gladion said flatly. Moon laughed.

"Do you guys have a better name then?" he demanded, his expression sour.

"We're only teasing, Hau, calm down," Gladion said. "But I do think that 'rainbows' suits you, considering who happy you are all the damn time. Seriously, how have you not fallen in a heap from exhaustion yet?"

Hau and Moon laughed.

"Again, your attention please," Kukui called through the megaphone. "The third place prize goes to… Mallow and Lana!"

The two Trial Captains from Akala Island squealed in delight.

"Second place… Ilima!"

"Yay! Ilima, go!" screamed a few girls.

"Are they for real?" Gladion whispered.

"Apparently," Hau said.

"And the winner of the egg hunt is…" Kukui paused. "…Plumeria!"

There was a round of applause, and Gladion's jaw dropped.

"What is it?" Moon asked.

"I… didn't think Plumeria would do this sort of thing… and win it as well…" Gladion said in shock.

"Who is she?" Hau asked.

"Team Skull's Admin," he replied, pointing her out in the crowd. "Kinda hard to miss hair like that…"

"Wow. Team Skull actually won the egg hunt," Hau said. Gladion looked at him with an irritated stare. "Sorry, but we did force you."

"Okay, time to go then," Moon said when the clapping had died down and the crowd began to disperse.

"The smartest thing you've said all day," Gladion decided.

"Ouch."

"That was super fun you guys!" Hau said happily.

Gladion felt himself smile. "Yes… it was."
