Minya tried his best to block out Destoroyah's prideful bragging as he waited with him in Osaka for Godzilla and the others. Just when it seemed like they were finally winning, another cruel twist in the game turned the odds in their enemy's favor. The young prince sat speechless, almost a shell of his usual, cheerful self, never having felt so much despair.

"Your father and his friends may have overpowered me in Tokyo," Destoroyah said, "but once they arrive, I will destroy every last one of them. All six of the Relics of Nature will be in my power at long last. The fate of all life on this planet is inevitable, and their destruction will be something not even the great Godzilla will be able to prevent." The mutant smiled wickedly. "I will savor the humans' pain when they realize that their own kaiju defenders could not save them."

In that moment, something snapped in Minya. All the pain, anger, hate, and despair Destoroyah had inflicted on them became too much. He was a source of pure evil that Minya wanted gone. In a low voice carrying more anger than the prince had ever felt before, he said, "That's. Enough."

Minya turned to face Destoroyah, and his eyes lit up in blue flames of rage as he unleashed a powerful atomic beam at the mutant. Destoroyah cried out in pain and surprise, not expecting to see this level of power from Minya again. The mutant tightened his tail's grip around Minya's throat, briefly cutting off the atomic beam as the prince gasped for breath, but Minya slightly loosened the pincers and shot another beam. Godzilla's team arrived just then to see Minya holding his own against Destoroyah.

"Wow. Guess Minya does have it in him." Anguirus said.

"Minya!" Godzilla called out to his son. Hearing his father, Minya stopped the flow of atomic fire and saw the team coming to his aid.

"Dad, everyone! You're here!" he exclaimed happily. He struggled with the pincers around his throat as Destoroyah recovered from his sudden attack.

"W-Well, young one, you...truly are Godzilla's son." Destoroyah said. "But it will take more than that to stop me." He addressed Godzilla's team. "I've something prepared for you all."

Destoroyah raised his horn toward the sky, and it glowed purple. As it changed color, the ground started to tremble and shake, and from it emerged several smaller but just as aggressive variants of Destoroyah. Some had elongated bodies and mouths and six legs, others had widespread wings.

"Woah, woah, woah, what the hell?" Anguirus said. "What's up with all the lookalikes?"

"The inhabitants of the dimension I was trapped in tried to kill me with an advanced chemical weapon." Destoroyah explained. "But it only succeeded it giving me a useful new ability. I created these clones before you arrived in Tokyo to obtain the sixth relic. Let us see if you stand a chance against my new army."

"We have had it with you, Destoroyah!" Jet Jaguar cried angrily before rushing straight into battle.

"Yeah, I'm just about done with you, bastard!" Anguirus said, rolling aggressively towards the nearest clones.

"You've threatened out planet for far too long." Rodan said.

"We'll never forgive you for the pain you've caused us." King Caesar said.

"You will be punished for the sins you've committed." said Mothra.

"This ends right here, right now." said Godzilla. "This is the moment your reign of evil finally ends!"

With a roar, Godzilla charged in and clawed at Destoroyah's floral pattern, the pain making him release his grip on Minya. While father and son joined forces against the mutant, their friends battled his clones. Although they were smaller, they still packed as strong a punch as Destoroyah, but the heroic kaiju held their own just fine. Jet Jaguar blasted several ground variants, taking most of them down in one hit, while Rodan sent a wave a fire through the fleet of aerial clones pursuing him in the sky, their blackened corpses falling to the ground. Anguirus rolled through the clones below, some of them managed to graze the ankylosaurus with their elongated claws, but it wasn't enough to stop his vigorous momentum.

The aerial clones shot multiple lightning beams at Mothra-they were weaker than Destoroyah's, but still strong enough to deal a concerning amount of damage. She deflected them with her scales, then took out several clones with her own antenna beams. The ground variants tried to swarm King Caesar, but he punched and kicked them away and obliterated them with his allies' projectiles.

Minya jumped behind Destoroyah and locked his arms around the mutant's throat. He wasn't strong enough to completely restrain him or cut off his air, but he kept him distracted enough for Godzilla to land some blows on his floral pattern. He slashed at Godzilla with his horn katana, but the king dodged it and blasted him off his feet with an atomic beam. Minya prepared to fire his own breath, but Destoroyah leaned up and clawed him in the chest, provoking Godzilla into sinking his teeth and claws into the mutant's rocky hide. Destoroyah managed to regain his footing, only for Minya to blast him in his floral pattern with his atomic breath, making him double over from the pain.

"Give up, Destoroyah?" Godzilla asked.

"No." Destoroyah said darkly. His yellow eyes suddenly flashed purple, as did those of his creations, and the tables suddenly turned on the heroes again. Anguirus was repeatedly slashed across the face before being forcibly knocked off his feet, gasping as the strong blow to his chest knocked the air out of him. Two aerial mutants grabbed Rodan's wings and held him in place while several others bit and clawed at him in his vulnerable state. Another aerial mutant clung to Mothra and ripped several large gashes in her wings, making her fall to the ground where she struggled with the swarm of land clones waiting for her. Jet Jaguar held his ground against the many clones that surrounded him, but he was overwhelmed in seconds and started losing parts to his enemies. King Caesar also had too many foes to keep up with, and they had rendered him weak and helpless before he knew it.

"Guys!" Godzilla exclaimed. Destoroyah slashed and clawed the king off his feet, and as if watching his friends being swarmed and injured wasn't enough, he recovered to see the despicable kaiju stabbing his claws and tail pincers into Minya's midsection and through his back, the prince gasping in pain.

At first, Godzilla was stunned silent. Then he cried out his son's name in anguish as Destoroyah pulled his claws and tail out, heavily drawing blood from the wounds, and threw Minya to the side. The prince lay curled up on his side, facing away from Godzilla, his blood pooling around him.

Godzilla started towards his son, tears forming in his eyes, but Destoroyah held his tail pincers to the king's throat. The mutant smiled at Godzilla's agony. "Look at you. Godzilla, the great and powerful king of all monsters, powerless to help his son and friends. At the mercy of a kaiju proven to be his superior." He motioned to his creations, and they held Godzilla's friends at blade point as their master did. "Hand over the final relic, Godzilla, or I will kill every one of them."

"Don't give it to him, Godzilla!" Anguirus cried weakly.

"Yes, do not doom the planet for our sake." Mothra added.

Godzilla was torn. As the king of the monsters, it was his duty to protect the earth, but his friends were everything to him, and he wouldn't trade their lives for anything. What was he to do?

"N-No!" Minya suddenly exclaimed. He shakily stood up and dove toward Destoroyah, latching onto his arm. "Y-You will...n-never have them, Des-toroyah!" As they struggled, the Relic of Balance suddenly appeared from behind Godzilla.

"Get off of me, boy!" Destoroyah said angrily before flinging Minya away. He slashed at Godzilla with his horn katana and grabbed the relic, and it, along with the other five, floated in a circle above him as he laughed evilly. "Finally, I have obtained all six of the Relics of Nature. Now, I will use their powers to achieve my 12,000-year-long goal: the complete annihilation of all life on-!"

The relics suddenly blasted Destoroyah in his chest pattern with multi-colored bolts of lightning, and he collapsed with a cry of pain and surprise. They flew over to Minya and surrounded him.

"You...should've k-known from the...s-start, Destoroyah." said the prince. "The...R-Relics of N-Nature would...never s-serve a t-tyrant like...you. They pro-tect the world, n-not threaten...it." Minya's eyes glowed blue. "And n-now, we'll en-sure that you...n-never threaten it...again!"

We'll? the adult kaiju all thought.

The relics fused together into a golden amulet with different colored jewels, each representing clemency, fortitude, peacefulness, justice, perseverance, and balance. It fused into Minya's heart, and to all of their amazement, the kaiju prince began to transform.

He grew larger, much larger than even Godzilla. His soft, leathery light gray skin turned a darker bluish gray and grew a protective layer of armored scales. His tail grew longer. The underdeveloped fins on his back grew into jagged, pronounced spines that flashed the signature atomic blue of his bloodline. His finger and toe nails sharpened into intimidating claws. His accelerated healing factor sealed up his wounds, and all that remained was blood. The combined Relics of Nature had transformed their chosen hero into a fully grown, powerful, godlike being, who glared at Destoroyah with fiery orange eyes. He released an earth-shattering roar, much louder than Godzilla's, before charging at the mutant.

With his greatly enhanced strength, Minya began laying waste to Destoroyah with little effort. The clones rushed to defend their creator, but Minya's developed dorsal spines and eyes lit up, and he obliterated them all with a powerful atomic beam, even stronger than the one he used on Destoroyah after Jr.'s death. Godzilla and his friends watched in awe as Minya, who just a moment ago was on the verge of death by Destoroyah's hand, now overwhelmed him with power never before seen by anyone in Godzilla's bloodline.

In little time, Destoroyah laid weakly on the ground. Even in his condition, he still attempted to fight back, but he couldn't conjure up the strength or power. Godzilla stood beside Minya as they looked down at their enemy, and the prince grinned at his father.

"How about we finish him together, Dad?" he said.

Godzilla returned the smile. "Absolutely, son."

Father and son each shot one last atomic pulse, and Destoroyah roared in pain as he exploded in a cloud of smoke. And at last, the world was saved.

Minya sighed with relief and exhaustion. "We did it." he said. "He's gone. We saved the earth."

"And it's mainly thanks to you." Godzilla said. "My son, the relics' chosen hero. They must've sensed how you were able to stand up to Destoroyah, and that's why they chose you. And even after everything he put us through, after all the ways he hurt us, you kept fighting until the very end. You eradicated the threat and saved the planet, like a true earth defender would." He smiled. "I'm so proud of you, son."

"Thanks, Dad." Minya said.

Anguirus studied the prince's new form. "Damn, Minya. Look out you." he said in awe.

"Yeah, I almost don't recognize you." Rodan added.

"This form sure helped you make Destoroyah pay for his actions." Jet Jaguar said.

"And with his increased strength and new abilities, Earth's safety is secured for the foreseeable future." Godzilla said.

The team returned to Tokyo to announce their victory, and the humans cheered for their kaiju protectors. The news of their triumph spread to other countries, and a worldwide celebration was declared. But before that, the heroes had to cleanse their wounds. Godzilla and Minya accelerated their healing with radiation, in which the latter got his first taste of the substance. Rodan treated Anguirus and himself with the heat from his volcano. Mothra used her scales to seal up the gashes in her wings. The JSDF rebuilt Jet Jaguar's lost parts. King Caesar rested in his mountain in Okinawa. After recovering, the team met back up outside Tokyo.

"Glad to see everyone's healed." King Caesar said.

"Same here, Caesar." Anguirus said. "Everyone ready to party?"

"Damn right, we are." Rodan said. "After a tough mission like that, we deserve it."

Jet Jaguar looked at his wrist-he now wore Goro's remote control like a bracelet, which was inside a specially-built capsule that allowed it to grow as the robot did. "The mission brought a lot of hardships for all of us." he said distantly. "Brutal pain, crushing defeats, lost loved ones. But despite all of that, we kept fighting until our enemies fell and the world was saved."

"And now, we must look ahead and move forward," Mothra said, "for it is what they would want."

Everyone nodded in agreeance and headed towards the city, but Minya, the chosen hero of the Relics of Nature, turned to look towards the horizon. There was nothing unordinary about the view, but it seemed to promise exciting new adventures ahead. And with his new form and abilities, he would be ready for whatever they may bring.

"Minya, are you coming?" Godzilla's voice brought Minya back to himself. The king had turned back when he realized his son wasn't following them.

"Oh! Yeah, Dad, coming." Minya rejoined his father and friends for a well-earned celebration with their human subjects.

The End
