Trigger Warning (i guess???): welp… to sum it up, the sexual tension is strong, Asami makes her move but like Korra doesn't refuse it soooo

Ch 17: Summer Rain

With spare time on their hands, one second they were experiencing the woes of the Fire Nation, browsing through the endless mall outlets, the next, they're running for cover from a sudden rain shower. Even though it was summertime, talk about a complete surprise. Although, that wasn't the most surprising event to happen so far on this trip. If someone were to ask Korra, ignoring the sudden reunion with Naeun, hands down it would be the fact that Asami had suggested they should go out. To explore the Capital City. Together.

It was painfully obvious that things were awkward and weird between them. Despite that, Asami practically implied that there was no use staying in the hotel all day just because of it. Especially more so since there was no excuse for them to not do something since Asami's meetings were practically a done deal. They had more free time than ever and, although somewhat hesitant, that's why Korra said yes. If it meant enduring awkwardness for the whole day rather than spiraling away with her thoughts and anxiety, she'd do it in a heartbeat.

She also couldn't lie. A part of her was also intrigued by the bustling madness of Capital City. She may have been here when she was young but at that time, she didn't have the time to get lost in the city's wonders. From the amazing and different architecture to the various attractions and even the thriving culture. It was so different yet nostalgic to what she thought and knew about. Not to mention… the amount of the color red was funnily apparent.

She understood why.

The Southern Water Tribe was no different as they wore blue all the time. It's just… Korra half wished she brought some more color-diverse clothes because she was sticking out like a sore thumb. She was sporting a simple white tee which was tucked inside a pair of blue jeans, accompanied by matching blue sneakers. She didn't look bad… she looked stylish if she said so herself. It's just… compared to Asami, who was wearing a red blouse, white jeans, and white sneakers, she found herself as the outlier. All the Fire Nation citizens were wearing some form of red and she was the only one who wasn't. Sure… her skin tone already gave it away at first glance but she wasn't one to judge.

Over the past years, it's been common for people from different ethnic backgrounds to immigrate to other nations. It may not have been common but it was fairly accepted. It's just they would usually assimilate to the culture by wearing their clothes to blend in. It was silly really. If their skin tone didn't matter as much, why did wearing no red and blue jeans did? They must have some sort of vendetta against the color blue because all these random stares were exactly what was happening to Korra at this moment in time. Or maybe it was her paranoia? Either way, her thoughts were hyper-focused on these dumb nuances and it wasn't until Asami spoke up that she stops thinking nonsense.

"Geez, I didn't expect it to rain all of a sudden…"

Snapping out of her thoughts, Korra turns to face Asami ever so slightly before looking away and commenting. "Yeah, I know right… if I knew I would've worn a light jacket or something."

Asami chuckles softly and for the first time in a while, Korra oddly felt like she was finally herself again.

"Yeah, I didn't think there would be rain in the middle of summer."

They make eye contact this time around and Korra gives her a somewhat awkward yet silly smile at her.

Asami's been… all over the place.

Korra knows that. The world has been so cruel to her. What did she ever do to deserve such… such shit to be thrown at her. It was unfair. How could the world allow such a thing to happen to one of the world's sweetest people out there? It made Korra's blood boil. She wanted to take away some of her pain but that was impossible. She felt pure bitterness from her helplessness. If she could take the world in her hands and crush it, she would. If she could control mother nature and force the elements to help her, she would.

Asami deserves that much.

"What should we do now?" Asami asks while sticking her hand out from their cover to feel the rain. "I'm not sure if it'll let up. There's still a lot of time left in the day so I don't want to head back now… we still have a lot to explore too."

Korra looks away when Asami turns to face her. She clenches her jaw at how much she thought Asami looked beautiful. The way some of her wavy hair was sticking to her skin from the dampness of the rain and the way her breathing was slightly flushed from the heat of the summer. It made Korra's neck run dry no matter how much she willed her body to cease such thoughts. Thankfully, her mouth ran on autopilot.

"Well… for now, how about we get some tea or something? I don't know about you but I could use something to drink."

Breathing out a tired breath, Asami pulled at the collar of her blouse. "That sounds great. It's so musty and hot here, my skin feels gross." She starts fanning herself with her blouse and Korra's eyes widen slightly.

Her mouth salivated at the sight of Asami's collarbone. She had this urge to mark that flawless skin. Her insides began to warm up and she immediately gave herself a mental slap for lusting for her friend. She was the one who drew the line between them. She was the one who wanted to remain friends. She was the one who caused their abnormal tension. She was also the one who couldn't stop taking glances at Asami's figure. Whenever she saw glimpses of her crimson bra, she blushed time and time again.

"Hmm… how about after we get a drink, let's take a walk around Central Park. I heard they have amazing statues there. Korra? Earth to Korra?"

Korra twitches when Asami grabs a hold of her bicep. She ended up snapping her head to face her and when she did, she gulped. Her eyes naturally fell on her lips before falling to her neck and then down to her collarbone and chest. When she realized what she was doing, she quickly snapped her head away and pointed at a nearby tea shop.

"Let's go there!"

She points at some store without even double-checking what it was, hoping they'd have drinks.

Fuck me fuck me fuck me! What the hell are you doing Korra! Stop checking Asami out! Why are you like this? You were the one who friend-zoned her! Fuck!

Korra missed whatever Asami's reaction was as she had a fixed look on her. Either way, if Asami noticed her blatantly checking her out, she didn't comment on it. She reacted normally and responded with a simple answer.

"Sure, sounds good."

The two end up deciding on their orders in silence and it wasn't until they were making their orders that they finally talked to each other.

"Here, I'll pay for it," Asami says before handing the cashier her card.

By reflex, Korra's hand catches Asami's wrist within seconds. "No it's okay, I got it."

Asami just lets out a breath. "It's the least I can do when you've done so much for me."

"You've done more than plenty already Asami, you forget that you've paid for the hotel and all the other places we've been to. Let me pay for the drinks since I was the first one to suggest coming here."

"And I'm the one who dragged you to the Fire Nation in the first place so it's only right for me to pay for everything."

Korra's lips part slightly before her eyebrows creased. I hate when she does that. Ignoring the weird tension, it felt as if they had regressed to the beginning of their friendship. Back when Korra knew that Asami was used to and was expected to treat people well regardless if they deserved it or not. A position where Asami didn't care for herself and pushed others' desires before hers. That wasn't a way of living. It was a way of serving.

Like a slave.

"It's not like you chained me up and forced me to come with you Asami. I choose to come with you of my own free will. I seriously feel bad for having you pay for everything so let me pay for these."

"But…" Asami's torn face made Korra's blood almost boil over.

Why was she angry? Why was she like this? You don't have to give me anything… One heavy sigh later, Korra gave up somewhat before offering a compromise. "In that case, you can buy my drink for me and I'll buy you yours."

Asami blinks a few times before breaking out into a soft chuckle. She covers her mouth before wiping away some tears that came from her laughter.

"What? What's so funny?" Korra asks as she cocks her eyebrow.

After her laughter calms down somewhat, Asami waves her hand dismissively. "Sorry sorry, it's just… this reminds me of that time we went to the boba tea place."

Recollection quickly hits Korra. "Ahh…" she then smiles at the nostalgic memory. "That's right, this did happen didn't it?"

Asami smiles at her sweetly. "It did."

The cashier clearing their throat makes the two of them remember their situation.

"Right… sorry can we make that two separate bills?"

Korra could practically hear their complaining and eye roll without having to be done. Once their orders were situated, both Asami and Korra made sure to leave a generous tip before standing off to the side. In no time, their drinks were ready and they thanked the staff once again before carrying on their way. By the time they were out the door, the rain had ceased.

"You wanna head down Central Park now?"

"Sure. Sounds good."

xXx

Kicking a small pebble on the side of the path, Korra had a hard time looking Asami in the eye. Asami still hadn't asked her more details about what happened with Naeun and a part of her was thankful for that, but her inner conscience was starting to get guilty. Real bad. She's been beating herself up for making their already awkward interactions more awkward.

How was that even possible?

Her life was seriously turning out to be some bad dramatic TV show. Korra ends up stopping in place at the thought. I…

"Korra? What's wrong?" Asami stops in place as well before giving her a very concerned look.

Spirits Korra hated those caring eyes.

When Korra doesn't respond, Asami tries again. "Hey… I'm not sure what exactly is eating you so much but you can talk to me you know? For better or for worse… I'll always lend you an ear." She pauses for a moment before adding, "If you want to, of course."

Korra looks her in the eyes before turning away. That's exactly why it hurts so much.

Another moment of silence passes and Asami finally lets out a quiet breath before pointing towards a close by bench. "How about we take a little break? I'm starting to get a little tired of walking."

Without waiting for a response, Asami made her way over. Since Korra hadn't planned to refuse that suggestion, she quietly followed after her. By the time they are seated, Asami takes a deep breath before stretching outwards and crossing her legs. She then grabs the neck of her blouse and starts fanning herself.

"The tea helped but now that we're walking around again, I wished we got some for later."

Korra could tell Asami was trying to make conversation so that this wouldn't be painful.

"You don't think it's gonna rain again, do you? For some reason, I feel like—"

Her eyes snapped shut. She couldn't take it anymore. Korra practically shouted. "I—"

Asami's face widens slightly when she realizes Korra's attempt to talk. She shuts her mouth before patiently waiting for her words.

"I… I'm more pathetic than you think Asami." She confesses before slouching forward somewhat. "I've told you before… this isn't me. I usually wear my heart on my sleeve so, this," she gestures at herself with a mocking scoff, "I don't know who this is."

"..." Asami eyes Korra carefully without saying much.

"I… I owe you a real explanation. What happened between me and her… with Naeun, it was a long time ago… back when I came here for a diplomatic meeting with my dad. I was fifteen at the time and she was eighteen." Korra then spares Asami a look before quickly looking away and continuing her story. "I was… when we first met, the moment I saw her eyes, something felt right. There was like this instant connection and I don't know…"

Korra sighs at the memory before rubbing her face. "This and that happened and she ended up becoming my first real partner you know? We had an amazing time you know. Before being with her, I had been on dates with guys here and there but we never really clicked. I honestly didn't know what liking someone truly was until I met her."

She then laughs sadly at the realization. "Heh, thinking back to it now, it would've been impossible. Our lives were different and the long distance wouldn't have worked. I get it, I do now but my foolish teen heart wanted it to work you know? It left a deep impression in my heart and I… I've never been able to move past it."

The two of them watch as a happy couple passes by before Korra quickly dismisses herself.

"Sorry. I know this sounds stupid. People don't just get hung over their first loves as I do. Hell, I don't even know what's wrong with me! I went all in and dove deep. It's ridiculous really, to think I can't move on and can't date someone because of it." She lashes out in one breath before huffing.

"I just— the thought of it scares me and I can't bring myself to fall that low again." I already have. "It's funny really, after what happened, I shut myself out emotionally from everyone. I had flings all the time and kept a strict no dating policy." She shakes her head before falling back into silence.

After letting Korra's confession sink in for a moment, Asami eventually spoke up. "Korra…" she softly called out, "You're not stupid. Your feelings aren't dumb."

"Yes, yes they are!" She shoots back in distress, "I'm the only person alive who can't date someone even if they want to. It just doesn't feel right. I— I just! I don't know!"

"What are you afraid of then? What's stopping you?" Asami says in a firm voice.

Something about the sudden shift in Asami's tone makes Korra twitch. When she slowly turns around, she is faced with a serious expression that means business.

"Why doesn't dating feel right?"

She further expands while inching closer.

"I can sort of understand why you'd feel reluctant to date someone but I don't understand why you can't if we both like—"

Out of nowhere, a heavy shower of rain falls upon them.

"Holy—" Asami quickly gets up before grabbing Korra's arm, "We need to find shelter!" Her eyes pop open even further when the rain starts pouring even harder. "Geez what in the heck is going on with mother nature!"

As Asami dragged her along, Korra did nothing but stare at her back profile. Her senses were overwhelmed. Her inner turmoil was already ripping her apart from the inside out. But, the way the cool raindrops dripped down her face as the humidity and muskiness of the sky imprinted on her skin made her feel pulled into the present. She wasn't in some lucid dream. This was reality. She was in the Fire Nation. At the center core that caused her pain throughout all these years. Honestly speaking, running into Naeun was terrifying. She didn't know what to say, how to react let alone act normal.

But even so… her heart ached.

It doesn't help that even though she had all these emotions and thoughts to deal with, the most prominent impression that stood out the most had to be Asami's hand for some reason. Why? Why did she fill her thoughts so much? Korra was sure she drew a line between them but, what was she doing just a few seconds ago? Spilling out her secrets even though Asami never asked for them? There was no reason for her to do so but Korra's heartfelt urge gave her an explanation.

And the way droplets rolled off her pale and fair-skinned hand and the way they bounced off her skin. The way her blouse was getting damper by the second and even the way her hair was bouncing up and down as they made their way down some alley. Korra couldn't take her eyes off her. She knew this feeling. She knew what it was but that was what truly scared her.

What… What was she scared of?

It has been far too long since Korra has felt this emotion that she had forgotten what she was afraid of. She forgot what she was running away from and pushing aside. She was sick of this uncertainty and tired of this inner argument. Tired of the redundancy she has forced herself to live through.

"Let's stop by that motel, there doesn't seem to be anyways else to go."

There were possibly a few other places they could have gone to rather than a motel. They were both aware of that but, Korra didn't question Asami. The events that immediately followed passed by like a muddled memory. They were greeted by the receptionist. They received some looks. They checked in at the swipe of Asami's card.

The two of them hadn't talked since they checked in and there was this weird lingering tension. Before Korra knew it, Asami had showered first and she quickly followed. However, the funniest part of it all was that they were still wearing the same clothes. Albeit, they were slightly drier than before but still semi-damp nonetheless.

Once they were face to face again, Asami looked at Korra with a blank face. Shortly enough, she worked up the courage to bring back their conversation from earlier. "Korra… about earlier."

Korra gulped. She had yet to look Asami in the eye since they came here. It didn't help that she was awkwardly just standing there in the room instead of sitting down on a chair or bed.

"I can understand why you're reluctant to fall for someone again. You're afraid of being heartbroken right? I get it, I think I do at least but at the same time, I don't. I've been through a few relationships myself and it hurts. It does but we all heal over time so why…why are you so afraid?"

"I…" Korra was caught on her tongue. "I don't know… the thought terrifies me."

Hearing what she knew about herself, from Asami nonetheless, made her feel even more pathetic.

"Korra… come on, tell me. If you don't, I won't be able to give up on you," Asami softly urges as she stands up and inches closer to Korra. "What are you afraid of?"

"I…" Korra fell a step back. "I…"

"You're…?"

She was vaguely aware that Asami was in her peripheral vision. Just say it Korra! Just say it! "I…" she lets out a shaky breath before turning away. "I can't do this."

"Korra…" Asami's voice was firm, demanding even, yet at the same time… reassuring. "It's okay, you can tell me. I won't judge or shun you."

"I—" the voices of fear and uncertainty in Korra's head were hounding her all at once. No no no no no no. She slammed her eyes shut before grabbing her head in frustration. "No…no no no I…" her voice cracked and her inner voice was straggling her.

"Please." The plea in her voice was apparent, desperate even. "Korra, can you please tell me? I need to know. I need to know if I have to give up on you!"

Shaky breaths left Korra's lips and she couldn't take it anymore. It was as if someone pulled the carpet from below her and she fell hard. Hard enough that she felt winded. She felt her body spiral down into this abyss before all of the sudden, the dam that she had suppressed for a long time finally broke.

"I— I'm scared of being unwanted! I don't want to be abandoned okay! I don't want to be used and tossed aside again!" The ringing in her ears replaced the short silence between them. She was hyperventilating somewhat and it wasn't until Asami spoke up that she wasn't as scared as before.

"Korra…" Asami's enduring and soft voice made her melt. "You know I wouldn't abandon you."

Korra's heart skipped a beat but it wasn't from the excruciatingly horrible pressure she was feeling. It was because deep inside, she knew that after all they'd been through, Asami wasn't lying.

"I'm sorry that I keep pressuring you like this but I just… I just want you so bad."

Without warning, when Korra finally turned around to catch her eyes for some sort of assurance, Asami was right in front of her, inching forward by the second. Her eyes were focused on her lips and Korra found herself retreating until her back hit the wall. She gulped as the pounding in her heart grew and she couldn't take her eyes off Asami's for some reason. It was as if a spell had been cast upon her and she was enchanted. Before she knew it, Asami was ghosting her body and she could feel her hot breath blowing against her skin.

Shortly enough, Asami lowers her gaze down towards her lips before looking back up into her eyes. "If you don't want this, just push me away."

Korra twitches at those words. "I—"

Asami proceeds to inch forward at a painstakingly slow rate. It was clear that she was waiting for Korra's answer and refusal. By the time her lips are a centimeter away from hers, she pauses to look into her eyes again. She waits for a few seconds, gauging Korra's answer with labored breaths and when she doesn't reply, she wraps her arm around Korra's waist and softly presses her lips forward, closing their gap.

It was one of the slowest, softest, and delicate kisses.

Their lips parted with a soft smooch before Asami pressed her forehead against Korra's to whisper out loud. "I… I am messed up all over the place… you know that. I can never express how much gratitude and love I have for you. You're the one who kept me safe. You're the reason why I can move past my… mess. I was able to do well in the meeting because of you. I need you Korra. Not as a friend… you mean more to me than that."

Asami gives her another sensual chaste peck before pulling back to observe Korra's reaction. When she doesn't fight back, she continues her pursuit and raises her hand to cup her cheek, and resumes kissing her. Their lips melded together once again and time after time, they parted repeatedly for air. As time passed, their exchange grew more passionate, however, Korra was still somewhat hesitant to actively kiss her back.

"I won't leave you."

Having her patience grow thin, Asami softly bites her upper lip before bringing her hand down to Korra's attire. Slowly but surely she began undoing her clothes while kissing her tenderly. Korra's lips started to swell and Asami was one step away from ridding Korra of her damp binds. She briefly pulls back, breathing stifled breaths against her cheek. She keeps her eyes on Korra, judging her limits. Korra still hasn't fought back yet so she takes that as permission and carefully pulls up her shirt.

With her head jumbled, Korra was breathing rougher than Asami. It was due to the mixture of kissing so much and having a mini panic attack. She felt the moment her skin became exposed to the cold air however, the heat radiating off Asami was more than enough to burn her skin. She was shaking subtly but the look in Asami's eyes wouldn't let her look away. She was captivated and they both knew it.

Asami claims Korra's lips once again. She gives her a soft peck and by the time her shirt is up to her chest, she pauses in place and kisses her feverishly. She lets out a stifled moan before rolling her tongue over Korra's lower lip. She then nips and pulls at it before finally letting go and tugging her shirt past her chest. In one flew swoop, Korra was shirtless, pinned against the wall, breathing heavily with her black bra.

It looked as if Asami was processing her thoughts but what came out of her mouth was simply a fact that no one could prove her wrong. "You're so beautiful Korra."

Grunting at Korra's messy sight, Asami felt her core tighten. She swallowed unbearably before firmly grabbing a hold of Korra's hips. Gently pulling her in closer, she starts rubbing her thumb tenderly against her tan skin before finally leaning back in for a kiss. She finally pushes her leg between Korra's and starts rubbing her thigh against Korra's core. When Korra twitches with a quiet moan, Asami wraps her arms around her back, holding her tightly in this heated kiss. Their tongues brushed past each other and finally, Korra began kissing her back.

Asami welcomed it.

In no time, Asami ran her fingers up to the back of Korra's bra. She unclasped the clip and sure enough, she pulled it down Korra's shoulders, past her arms, and off her body. At last, Korra's perky breasts were free and her erect nipples were exposed to the cold air, tensing to the temperature. Then, as smooth as Asami has taken off her bra, she cups her breast, fondling it with care while kissing her lips tenderly. Their bodies were tightly pressed up against each other and they were both grinding into each other's warmth.

Their tongues swirled around each other and Asami sucked and pulled on Korra's before breaking apart. Korra almost whines at the loss but Asami was quick to act. She breaks from their kiss and grabs Korra's hand and guides her over to the bed before gently pushing her down. However, before Korra could even get settled, Asami quickly yanks off both her jeans and panties in one go, leaving her bear from her lower half.

Korra blushes at the situation but before she can protest, she watches Asami seductively strip off her top half. She first unbuttoned her crimson blouse, one button at a time, exposing part of her matching bra. By the time she completely undoes her blouse, she slowly peels it off her shoulders and body, tossing it somewhere on the floor. Sure enough, she climbs on top of Korra and brings her into a searing kiss. They groan upon contact and Korra melts into the kiss.

This can't be real.

Asami sucks her lips tenderly, switching their kissing angles every now and then.

I… I can't fight back.

Buried under Asami's weight, Korra felt much comfort and anxiety all at the same time. She was vulnerable. Exposed. This was the intimacy she craved for but was so afraid of. It was then Korra had deja vu to when they first had sex. However, this time, she was sober and she saw Asami as clear as day. She saw the desire in her eyes. Her need and want. Asami wanted her. If Korra didn't push her back now, there was no going back. They couldn't remain normal friends anymore and the thought of that horrified Korra to no end that she wanted to cry.

What if she had been fooling herself this whole time?

What if Asami was just using her for emotional support and would throw her away after she wasn't once needed anymore?

What if… she was like Naeun?

Her thoughts were a mess. She didn't know what to think and her brain was mush. Asami's faint perfume and warm touch were so intoxicating. They somehow made Korra forget all fear and worry she had. As Asami began groping her thigh, she subtly rocked her hips into her lower region before tenderly fondling her breast. She repeats this jerking motion a few more times before eventually leaning down to claim her lips yet again.

"Mmh…"

Korra couldn't breathe.

Asami's vibrant light green eyes were quickly burning a hole through her heart which made her feel weak and vulnerable. The way she would caress her body made her feel loved. It was suffocating yet at the same time made her feel like what Asami was doing was right. Korra had this hunch that it was right but her thoughts and heart just didn't align.

Eventually, Korra calls out in a weak voice, "Asa…mi…" Her eyes grew watery and she couldn't bear to look at her anymore.

In response, Asami only smothers her face and neck in more kisses as she hugs her tightly. "Korra."

Her first sob came out after suppressing it for who knows how long. "I'm scared."

Asami never took her eyes off of Korra before she softly encouraged her. "I got you." She ran her hand carefully behind Korra's back before gently trailing down and kissing her temple. "I won't let you go."

Korra turns away in shame before covering her eyes. Tears began to split and she felt so ashamed for being this weak. She suppressed her choked sobs while Asami only soothed and doted on her even more.

Asami gently pushes Korra's hand from her face. She wipes away her tears before cupping her cheek and rubbing it affectionately with her thumb. Soon enough, she slowly leans down to kiss her lips. She gave her a gentle peck. One after another, a soft sound reverberates until Asami trails her lips down to Korra's ear. She hesitated to say this one line before after taking in the sound of their mixed breaths, panting in this summer rain, she swallowed her nerves before confessing and getting off her chest.

"I love you Korra, I will never let you go."

Korra let out a silent gasp as her eyes widened. Her lips parted and her ears betrayed her. It couldn't be true. Someone like Asami couldn't have possibly loved someone like her. It couldn't be true. It just couldn't. It didn't make sense. Naeun didn't love her. Her words had been lies and she had been tricked but Asami was…

Asami was…

Cuddling her gingerly, Asami breathes out more heavy breaths before confessing into her ear once again. "I love you." She feathers kisses all over her neck. "I love you Korra." She kisses her tenderly all across Korra's tense body.

Leaving love marks along the way, Asami showers her in warmth until she nuzzles her lips between her breasts. "I will never let you go Korra, I love you."

Kissing her way across her skin, Asami gently brings Korra's wounded knuckles to her lips. She looks at them with sorrow before kissing them as light as a feather. She kisses each individual knuckle before doing the same with her other hand. All while doing so, she kept her eyes focused on Korra, burning her with a permanent gaze.

"I love you Korra. No matter what, I won't leave you." She leans back down to kiss her lips, "I love you."

Korra shivers at Asami's touch. Her lips, her voice, her touch, her smell… her very being was enveloping her whole. She couldn't fight this. She was being carried away, swept off her feet. Asami ends up tangling their naked bodies together. Korra vaguely felt how wet Asami was but most importantly, the way Asami was touching her made her twitch in ecstasy.

"A…Asami I…"

Asami continues to kiss her way down Korra's face. She cups her damp sex, rubbing it precariously while burying her face in the crevice of her ear. Their bodies were pressed up against each other and Korra couldn't think. Everything was just so hot and musky.

"I love you Korra. I love you."

Korra felt Asami press into her depths. A shaky whimper escapes her lips as she gets swept away. Forget about her fears and anxiety let alone Naeun. The only thought on her mind was one thing: Asami.

"I won't ever leave you Korra… I love you. I love you so so much. I'm yours. I'm yours alone."

Gritting her teeth, hot tears continued to spill down the side of her face. Korra couldn't think. She just couldn't. "Asami…"

"Korra…"

Smothered deeply by her warmth, Korra couldn't hold herself back out nor could she help herself either. When Asami came up to kiss her, she found herself kissing back. It was raw and desperate but something felt right. Asami made her nervous, but she made her feel loved. She was the only person that hadn't given up on her.
