The newly dubbed Penguin Lord AKA Lord Voldemort was taken into the Potters' spare room where, while still unconscious, he was untransfigured by James and then bound tight to the chair.

James being an Auror, had magic restraining manacles which he fitted Voldemort with.

Then Lily went out of the room, summoned Nyssa, and after showing her the captured Dark Lord, sent her back with the written secret of the house and instructions to ask Alice and her family to apparate directly along with Harry outside the house where she would meet them.

When the elf reappeared in front of the Longbottoms and was asked about the situation, there was awe in her voice as she told them that her Master and Mistress had captured the Dark Lord.

While at first unwilling to believe, Frank was reminded by his mother, Madam Augusta Longbottom who had come to visit her grandson that only Lily or James could have summoned the elf, and that bewitching spells don't stick to house elves.

They then all apparated in front of the house after memorizing the address.

Soon, the Longbottoms and Potters were in the room where Voldemort was being held prisoner while their two elves had been tasked with taking care of the two kids in Harry's playroom which was temporarily warded against malicious intent.

Upon hearing how had all this happened, there was a look of awe on Madam Longbottom's face while Alice had a satisfied look on hers as Frank wasn't so sure earlier when they had planned those traps.

Frank had a bottle of Veritaserum with him. He poured 3 drops down Voldemort's throat and Rennervated him.

Then James began the interrogation by asking his name after Frank had set up an Auror-certified Dicta Quill on a piece of parchment. It led to a flood of questions, as they were all under the impression that the leader of this violent pureblood movement was a pureblood himself.

Upon learning Voldemort's real name and his antecedents and how he fashioned the false name for himself, he was given disbelieving looks.

Then, before James could ask the next question, Lily slipped in one question which was most important as of now and she came directly to the point, not wanting to wait.

She asked, "Is Peter Pettigrew a Death Eater and he gave you the secret?"

James was about to open his mouth to deny it indignantly when Voldemort replied, "Yes."

Everyone was looking between Lily and Voldemort in shock.

Finally, James found his voice and asked, "How?"

"We will have time for that later. First of all, I want him regurgitating a list of all his marked and unmarked supporters wherever they are." said Lily, and then turning to Voldemort who still had a glazed look on his face, courtesy of Veritaserum, said, "Let's begin with the Ministry of Magic. List out all names of your marked and unmarked willing supporters first and their positions within the Ministry and their locations including hideouts."

And thus, began, the downfall of the Dark Side as Voldemort, during the interrogation, not only listed out all his supporters and people under Imperius but also told them (on Lily's questioning), how in order to avoid death, he had made Horcruxes and how he had ensured their security.

Once Voldemort was done stating all that, they re-stunned him and moved to the Potters' bedroom after checking up on their kids in the playroom.

Once they had sat down with glasses of Firewhisky between them, James spoke up.

"Now Lily, tell me, since when you knew that the rat had turned traitor and why did you not consider it important enough to tell us? All our lives were in danger, for Merlin's sake," said James with a touch of anger.

"And then what? Let you and your fellow hothead, Sirius, go after Peter, leaving Voldemort to come up with some other plan to get to Harry and thus have us living in fear for many years until either he got the better of us or someone snuffed his life out?" asked Lily stiffly.

"Let's first call in Sirius. He needs to know too," said James.

"Fine," said Lily and saying that she sent a Patronus to Sirius.

Soon, Sirius had joined them in the room, having been brought up to date and gone through the transcript of Voldemort's interrogation.

He had to be restrained by James when he learned that Peter had betrayed them.

"With my plan, we not only have Voldemort under our captivity but also Peter," said Lily bringing James and a fuming Sirius to a standstill.

"How - ?" asked Frank.

"Let me tell you everything from the start," said Lily.

"That would be good," said James, still in a bad mood after learning that she had hidden things from him.

"But I also want Remus here just as you wanted Sirius," said Lily.

As James made to object, she raised her hand, stopping him, and said, "Remus has been helping me. I told him first about Peter and he believed in my logical reasoning, which you would not have done as you were not only blinded by your faith in Peter but also suspected Remus of being a spy. He offered to help me and it's him apart from Alice whom I have been confiding and conspiring with, to bring us out of this safely. It is also Remus whom I tasked with capturing Peter."

Soon, Remus too was present there but he chose to sit next to Lily, between her and Alice when his two friends made to make space for him next to them.

James and Sirius looked at him sadly. If they had not treated him with mistrust, he would have been sitting with them. They were as close as brothers, at one point in time. James and Sirius still were, but they both had alienated Remus with their suspicion.

Lily then began. She told them everything - how she had begun to suspect Peter, getting Remus to help her (James and Sirius had looked ashamed and unable to meet his eyes), her meeting with Dumbledore, her and James' planning and Remus' capture of Pettigrew today.

Her listeners' faces showed a gamut of emotions - horror, anger, amazement, shame.

"What next?" asked Alice.

In answer to her, Lily called Nyssa who had already gone to Remus' place and brought the photo and the vial of memory of Remus' interrogation of Peter.

"Bring me the photo and the vial, please," said Lily with a smile at her devoted elf who brought the items instantly which Lily gave to Frank.

Knowing what they were, Frank put them in an evidence bag.

Then Sirius spoke, "Now, we need to get Crouch here, as Lily-flower here says, and walk him through everything that happened and support him in his endeavor to capture each and every willing supporter of Voldemort and also free those people who have been bewitched. We need to do all this cleverly, though. Can't risk anyone escaping and then coming after us when we have become complacent."

With that said, Nyssa was soon sent to Crouch with the secret while Remus went to fetch his prisoner, Peter.

When Crouch Senior was brought in and showed Voldemort and Peter, and the interrogation transcripts, he was giddy with relief and happiness. He could well imagine himself being soon nominated as the next Minister of Magic. If he managed to get all of Voldemort's supporters, then there won't be many of the Dark faction in the Wizengamot left to object. People were already vying for him to take the top spot.

He was also looking at Lily in awe and wonder.

"It's a shame, you did not join the Auror Program with James, Mrs. Potter. You would be a shoo-in for the Head of Auror Department spot now," said Mr. Crouch.

Lily blushed and looked down as James whose anger had abated and who was sitting on her other side put his arm around her in pride while Alice shot a superior smirk at her own husband who gave her a small pouch of Galleons while looking embarrassed. It seemed that they had a bet going.

"There's one thing, Mr. Crouch," said Remus hesitantly. He wasn't sure how he would be treated by Crouch even if Crouch knew that he was on their side.

"Yes, Mr. Lupin?" asked Mr. Crouch.

"I know that you and your most trusted Aurors will be able to handle the capture of Voldemort's supporters, but what about his Horcruxes?" asked Remus.

"The Unspeakables can help, with the exception of the traitor Rookwood who was listed by Voldemort," suggested Alice. "They specialize in dealing with the lesser known arts of magic including the Dark Arts."

"Good idea," said Mr. Crouch.

"Mr. Crouch, may I suggest something for the future?" asked Lily.

"You have earned the right and your suggestions are all welcome," said Mr. Crouch smiling at her.

"I know what I am going to suggest is quite soon especially as we have yet to deal with this current matter but I wish to bring to your attention, the two reasons why Voldemort was able to gain such a strong foothold and sway so many of the purebloods," said Lily.

"And what are those?" asked Mr. Crouch now curious and also eager to find a solution to stop future Dark Lords from rising.

Lily began, "One is that as per Voldemort's statement, he grew up in an orphanage where he was considered a freak and was bullied. When he discovered magic, ages before turning eleven, he started using it to not only defend himself but also to torture those who had first bullied him. I am sure that with proper research, our underage magic detectors can be tweaked to discover instances of magic sooner to take orphans away from the unsuitable environment and if the parents of the Muggleborn children are given the chance to get used to being a part of the magical world sooner rather than when the kids are eleven years old, then a lot of things could be avoided."

Here, Lily took a sip of her drink while Crouch looked on, impressed, and thoughtful as her words could not be ignored.

She then continued, "There are Muggle parents who on seeing such instances, would believe that their child has been possessed by an evil spirit and take them to churches or some cult to conduct an exorcism, which could be harmful or fatal to the kids. Some parents may even opt for abandoning their children to avoid being called parents of a freak. In answer to that, we should start a magical orphanage and also have a look at childless magical parents who might want to adopt them and look at the well-to-do ones who would be willing to foster a child and give them the love and affection they deserve."

"That's quite kind and thoughtful of you, my dear but this is only one point, isn't it?" asked Madam Longbottom.

"Yes, Ma'am. The other point or rather two points is, on one hand, the lack of proper knowledge that the magically raised people have about the Muggle world because of which they underestimate them and look down upon the Muggles and Muggle-borns. Just because we have magic doesn't make us superior. Muggles just do things differently and they have answers to the problems we have while we have answers to the problems they have. On the other hand, the Muggle-born and raised children, on seeing the magical world, instead of trying to adapt or blend, try to fit in the magical world to their Muggle beliefs and upbringings."

Here, she took another pause and a sip.

"The fact is that both the Magical and Muggle worlds are so different, they could well be considered two different countries. The cultures are different and each does things differently," finished Lily.

"So, what would you suggest?" asked Mr. Crouch.

"Two compulsory classes to be begun to be taught a few years before the children start at Hogwarts - Muggle Culture and Wizarding Culture and they should be taught by couples. The main teacher would be someone who has been raised in the respective world and has a spouse from the other world so that the spouse can help answer questions about things that the main teacher takes for granted. They should actually also teach the children how to blend easily in the other world that they are unfamiliar with. Field trips in both worlds and time spent in a magical home, as well as a Muggle home, would help even more," suggested Lily.

"Excellent," exclaimed Mr. Crouch. "I will definitely bring this into practice if I become a Minister or at least raise the topic when I get the chance if I don't. I too feel that we need to learn more about the non-magical world and have better relations with our counterparts in their Ministry. I have heard that they have Scientists who are their answer to our Unspeakables. They have created weapons of mass destruction, and have non-invasive methods of scanning the body of a patient, none of which we have an answer to. May I call upon you to help me in that endeavor when the time comes?" asked Mr. Crouch.

Lily agreed with his request.

He then continued, "The purebloods do need to know that the Muggles are not as helpless as they think. How many supporters of Voldemort were able to escape when one of the groups foolishly decided to attack a house which was in the police quarters a couple of months ago?" asked Crouch, then answering himself, he said, "None. They were almost all put down by the Muggle law-keepers."

Mr. Crouch then remained for some more time to discuss the planning for handling the current matter of Voldemort's supporters and Imperius victims.

Alice and Frank offered to put their own hideout under Fidelius and magically expand it and then share the secret with the group so that Crouch could bring all the trustworthy Aurors, Hit-Wizards, and Unspeakables to the place and begin planning.

They all agreed and after Frank promised to send his elf with the secret soon, Mr. Crouch left.

There it is. Another chapter is down, and the end of this story approaches. See you soon with the next and possibly final chapter.
