Author's Notes: If you guys were wanting to see the movesets and abilities for all the characters, then there you go. I hope I made everything balanced and whatnot. Now, part of me wanted Lidelle to be unable to channel blue eco rather than red… but considering how important blue eco is for getting things done in Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, I really didn't want to make any of the Puyo Puyo characters unable to channel blue eco. So instead, I made a slight overlap in terms of restrictions and made both Amitie and Lidelle unable to channel red eco. This shouldn't really bother you guys because red eco was EASILY the least useful eco type in the actual game.

But at the same time... I wanted to make red eco more useful in some way, and I made it so that Raffina can break boulders with the stuff. Hopefully, this is a good compromise of sorts. Anyway, you're probably wondering why Jak and Raffina can't ride the flut flut whatsoever, especially since Jak COULD in fact do that in the game. Well, for one thing: Jak didn't push the flut flut egg off that cliff in this take of The Precursor Legacy. I made Lidelle do that, and the flut flut likes her because it thinks she is its mother. And secondly, Lidelle told the flut flut that Amitie was her friend.

As for why Raffina can't ride it, it's because I made her to be similar to Jak here in a lot of ways. Also, I figured that she would be the kind of character that doesn't perform actions with animals very well. I mean, she IS a fine young lady of sorts... But anyway, that kind of establishes who can and can't ride the flut flut. As for the case of the zoomer, I think that's a little more obvious with who can't ride it. Amitie wouldn't be smart enough to drive something like a zoomer; no offense to the Puyo Puyo fans. And Lidelle's short stature and lighter body would make it difficult for her to drive it.

With that said: What do you guys think of the Puyo Puyo characters each having a special ability tied to a specific eco color? I personally think it's a neat idea, all things considered. Again, I hope you guys like how I did all of this. It was a what-if attempt to make the gameplay of The Precursor Legacy feel more fleshed out and enjoyable. Not to say that the actual game is bad, oh no, far from it. I just feel like it fell short in a few key areas. Remember the Precursor Basin? That area, for example, is kind of meh in the game because although you're doing a variety of different tasks... you have to do them all while on the zoomer.

Now, the problem doesn't stem from the zoomer's controls; that's not the issue. It's more like that the zoomer itself doesn't have enough mechanical depth to make it interesting for a long period of time. On a first-time playthrough, this isn't so bad because it's a welcome change from the platforming. However, on subsequent playthroughs, the Precursor Basin isn't very interesting because of how little mechanical depth there is to the zoomer. This is weird though, because I don't have that problem with any of the other zoomer stages.

So again, it's not because the zoomer itself is a bad thing. It's just that, at least for me, the process of completing Precursor Basin feels a bit monotonous due to the lack of a proper moveset. That's kind of why I added those extra time challenges for the area, just so there would at least be SOME level of challenge associated with it. But I digress, that's all I have to say about this. Moving on to the next chapter, which is… Chapter 8: Mountain Pass and Volcanic Crater.
