Narcissa, Jack, Elizabeth, and Norrington all rode in a longboat towards Isla Cruces. Jack was desperately clutching a jar of dirt looking terrified.

To be fair it was somewhat understandable. Narcissa had been informed by Ragetti and Pintel that Jack was trying to get out of a deal he made with Davy Jones. Making at least everything involving will and the Dutchman his fault.

Ragetti and Pintel who were rowing the boat had begun to bicker.

"Yer pulling too fast," said Pintel.

"Yer pulling too slow. We don't want the Kraken to catch us!" argued Ragetti

"I'm saving me strength for when it comes," said Pintel. "And I don't it's "kracken" anyways. I it said "krayken."

"With a long a?" asked Ragetti

"Uh-huh."

"No, no, no, no, no, no, no. "Krocken" is how it's in Scandinavian, and "kracken" is closer to that," said Ragetti. Narcissa snickered at they're bickering. It always had a way of lightening the mood. She was also always surprised when Ragetti would rattle off something that sounded genuinely smart.

"Well, we ain't Scandinavians, are we?" said Pintel with a scowl. "Krayken."

"It's a mythological creature. I can it what I wants." Ragetti replied stubbornly. The arguement was interuppted by a splash from behind them. Everyone froze and then the pirates began rowing in sync.

If she were honest Narcissa was seriously concerned by Jack's fear. He was many things but I coward was not one of them. Furthermore unlike Norrington she had no doubt that the Kraken was real and VERY dangerous.

They reached Isla Cruces and Jack, Narcissa, Norrrington, and Elizabeth stepped out. Jack turned to Ragetti and Pintel.

"Guard the boat, watch the tide, and don't touch my dirt."

"I still think this is a wild goose chase," muttered Norrington.

"Shut it Borrington, you're crew not a commadore and as such have no say," snapped Narcissa who had little patience for those who had seen proof that magic existed in this world and still denied it. The walked across the beach following Elizabeth who at last stopped.

"It doesn't work. It doesn't show you what you want most," she said with a huff throwing away the compass and sitting down with her arms crossed. Jack picked up the compass and Narcissa peered over his shoulder. The needle was pointing right at Elizabeth.

"Yes it does. You're sitting on it," said Jack.

"Beg pardon," said Elizabeth looking affronted.

"Move," said Jack shooing her off the spot. He made an X in the sand with his boot. And Narcissa realized what he meant the treasure was buried! She and Jack both looked expectantly at Norrington who was carrying the shovel. Taking the hint he started to dig.

After a good half hour the shovel hit something. Jack and Norrington lifted out a worn wooden chest. Jack broke the lock. Inside were many objects. A wedding dress, a conche shell, a string of pearls, and what appeared to be love letters. Narcissa realized these were all memories. Memories of a lost love that Davy Jones longed to forget.

Beneath the objects was a small iron chest from which a thumping sound could be heard.

"It's real," whispered Elizabeth.

"Amazing," murmured Narcissa. Hearing about it was one thing but seeing it was another.

"You were actually telling the truth," said Norrington in disbelief.

"I do that quite a lot yet people are surprised," said Jack matter-of-factly. Narcissa snorted.

"For good reason," said a voice behind them. They all looked to see Will standing there dripping wet.

"Will!" cried Elizabeth running to hug him. "You're all right! God! we came to find you!" Narcissa felt a wave of relief at seeing Will. At least he was safe.

"How did you get here?" asked Jack.

"Sea turtles, mate," said Will walking forward. "A pair of them, to my feet."

"Not so easy, is it?" said Jack

"But I do owe you thanks, Jack."

"You do?" Jack said looking confused.

"After you tricked me onto that ship to settle your debt with Jones..."

"I knew it!" said Narcissa turning to glare at Jack. At the same time as Elizabeth let out a dismayed,

"What?"

"...I was with reunited my father." finished Will. Narcissa's eyes widened. Bootstrap was alive?

"Oh, well... you're welcome, then." said Jack sheepishly.

"Everything you said to me, every word was a lie!" exclaimed Elizabeth angrily

"Pretty much. Time and tide, love." shrugged Jack.

"And you wonder why people don't trust you," scoffed Narcissa.

"Oi! What are you doing?" said Jack as Will knelt down to open the chest a knife held in his right hand an iron key in his left.

"I'm going to kill Jones."

"Can't let you do that, William. 'Cause if is dead, who's to call his beastie off the hunt, eh? Now if you please the key," said Jack pulling out his sword. Will grabbed Elizabeth's sword and drew it.

"I keep the I make, Jack. I intend to free my father. I hope you're here to see it." Suddenly Norrington pulled out his sword. Threatening Will.

"I can't let you do that either. So sorry."

"I knew you'd warm up to me eventually." said Jack with a grin. Norrington scoffed.

"Lord Beckett desires the contents of that chest. I bring it to him, I get my life back.

"Ah. The dark side of ambition." commented Narcissa.

"Oh, I prefer to see it as the promise of redemption." replied Norrington. He made to stab will and Will blocked. Jack then went for Norrington only to have Norrington parry. Soon a three-way battle had ensued. Narcissa stood back watching.

"Guard the chest!" called Will as they moved away.

"Stop it!" exclaimed Elizabeth. "This is barbaric! This is no way for men to..."

"I think the key word is grown men," commented Narcissa drily.

"Oh, fine! Let's just haul out our swords and start banging away at each other. That will solve everything!" said Elizabeth sarcastically. "I've had it! I've had it with wobbly-legged, rum-soaked pirates!"

"Then yer in the wrong place Liz," quipped Narcissa.

"Oh the heat! The heat!" said Elizabeth pretending to faint. Narcissa sighed when the men took no notice.

"I think Sparrow is a bad influence," she said casually. Elizabeth opened her eye to see the lack of reaction.

"You don't say," she muttered standing up. There was a screech from Jack the monkey and the two women turned to see that Ragetti and Pintel were making off into the jungle with the chest.

Narcissa took off after them swiftly followed by Elizabeth.

"Stop!" called Narcissa. The two men halted but before Narcissa could speak a giant water wheel rolling past with Will and Norrington fighting on top while Jack was on the inside. The four stood stunned for a moment before being snapped out of it by an axe hitting the tree next to them.

They all turned to see what could only be the crew of the Dutchman barreling towards them. Narcissa barely time to register the way the crew seemed to be part man part sea creature.

The four began to run as fast as they could in the opposite direction Ragetti and Pintel then ran past either side of a tree causing them to drop the chest. They turned and looked back to see the Dutchman crew advancing. There was no way of outrunning them at the moment but they could fight.

Narcissa, Ragetti, and Pintel all drew their swords. Elizabeth went to do the same only to remember will had taken hers.

The three with the swords began to duel the crew members.

"Sword!" called Elizabeth and Narcissa tossed her hers. Elizabeth slashed hers across the stomach of a man covered in starfish.

"Sword," Narcissa called as a hammerhead shark man approached. Ragetti threw her hers and she parried the man's blow.

"Sword!" called Ragetti and Elizabeth tossed him hers. This pattern worked well as they continued tossing a sword to whoever was closest to combat. They finally managed to back them off enough to grab the chest and run towards the beach still holding the Dutchman crew off.

They reached the beach where they saw Jack by the longboat shoving something into the shitting a crewmember with an oar. The water wheel had made it's way to the beach and fallen over so Will and Norrington were also at the boat.

Narcissa slashed at a barrnacle covered crewman taking off his head as she backed towards the boat. It was maddness and it seemed it was all everyone could do to stay alive. There was a thud and Will fell unconcious into the boat. Elizabeth turned to help him and nearly got decapitated only saved by Narcissa running the man through the chest.

"Leave him unless you plan on using him to hit something!" she said sharply and Elizabeth obeyed using one of the oars as a weapon.

"We aren't getting out of this alive!" Called Elizabeth.

"Not with the chest!" said Norrington grabbing it. Get in the boat!" he ordered.

"Your mad!" sad Elizabeth.

"Don't wait for me." he replied before running off with the chest drawing away the crew.

"I say we respect his final wish," said Ragetti.

"Agreed," replied Narcissa jumping into the boat and pulling Elizabeth who was still slightly reluctant behind her.
