The crew of the Pearl, or what was left of it, ended up rowing to Tia Dalma's hut. Apparently, she was some sea witch pirates went to for advice. She was a dark-skinned woman with her hair in dreadlocks. She was dressed in slightly ragged patchwork clothes with many beaded necklaces around her neck.
To the relief of Narcissa and the rest of the crew she welcomed them into her little hut, which smelt of sage, on the foggy, candlelit bayou, and provided the somber crowd with rum. Narcissa still wasn't sure what the appeal of the drink was. It burned her throat but she nevertheless joined in.
Now they all sat sadly. Narcissa with Jack on her shoulder was next to Elizabeth who was looking very conflicted though nobody else seemed to notice. Tia Dalma knelt next to Will who was frustratedly throwing his knife into the wooden table.
"It's a shame. I know you're thinking that with the Pearl you could have killed the devil and set free your father's soul," she said. Narcissa's ears perked at her words, Will wanted the Pearl?
"It doesn't matter now. The Pearl is gone and so is it's captain," said Will.
"Aye and already the world seems a bit less bright," said Gibbs. Narcissa felt bad for the man who had clearly been very close to Jack. Knowing what Elizabeth had done and after all he had done to Will, her, and her father, she couldn't say she was overly broken up over his death. But she did know what it was to lose someone dear to you. If nothing else, he'd been a bloody good pirate and he had come back.
"He fooled us all right to the end, I guess that honest streak finally won out. To Captain Jack Sparrow," Gibbs said holding up his mug.
"Never another like Captain Jack," said Ragetti and Narcissa had to agree on that score.
"He was a gentleman of fortune he was," said Pintel.
"He was a good man," said Elizabeth who now looked positively miserable.
"If there were anything that could be done to bring him back," began Will.
"Would you do it?" asked Tia Dalma surprisingly eagerly. "Hm?" "What would you, any of you be willing to do? Would you sail to the ends of the Earth and beyond to bring back witty Jack and him precious Pearl?"
"Aye," said Gibbs.
"Aye," said Pintel and Ragetti as well as several other crew members.
"Aye," agreed Will.
"Aye," said Elizabeth softly.
Narcissa knew that she couldn't let the two people who were like siblings to her go on whatever crazy venture was ahead of them without her. She had a duty to protect them. Especially Elizabeth. And then there was Pintel and Ragetti, who had looked out for her and were Narcissa's last remaining connection to her father besides Jack the monkey. She wouldn't abandon them either.
"Aye," she said raising her mug.
"All right. But if you go and brave the weird and haunted shores at world's end...then you will need a captain who knows those waters."
Narcissa's brow furrowed in confusion and she was about to ask what Tia Dalma meant when she was distracted by Jack who had jumped from his perch on her shoulder and scurried towards the stairs from which footsteps could now be heard.
Narcissa's gaze followed the monkey as a figure she'd never thought to see again came into view and a pair of familiar blue eyes met hers.
"Father!"
Narcissa jumped out of her seat and ran to him, throwing her arms about him. Her father chuckled, and for the first time since her childhood she could feel the warmth of his embrace.
"Hello treasure," he said softly before turning to the rest of the crew.
"So, tell me, what's become of my ship?"
