Summary: Barry is one of the bravest people Len knows. He's faced metas and the man who murdered his mother and even invading aliens with amazing courage that Len envies sometimes.
Of course, that just makes it funnier that Barry is hiding behind him right now.

Barry is, without a doubt, the bravest person Len's ever met. He's known that since the first time they truly fought, when Barry struggled past the unexpected pain of the Cold Gun. And the defiant look on Barry's exhausted face beneath his cowl as he stared up the barrel of Len's gun after saving an entire train's worth of people at their second fight.
He's proved it over and over again, constantly battling against circumstances that would make other people think twice. And while Len's seen Barry's courage waver, his bravery has never given out. Never snapped or broken no matter the circumstances. Not even an alien armada could truly shake Barry's amazing reservoir of reckless courage.
Len loves him for it. And perhaps envies him for it a bit as well.
Of course, all of that just makes it that much more hilarious that Barry is cowering behind Len right now.
"Is he gone?" Barry hissed.
"The clown?" Len clarified, snickering.
"I don't like clowns, okay? They're creepy. What do they need to have smiles like that for anyway?" Barry shuddered, practically plastered to Len's back, face pressed between Len's shoulder blades so he wouldn't have to see for himself.
Len eyed the clown and contemplated saying he didn't see it anymore. But not even he was that mean. "Still there. Come on. Give me your hand and I'll lead you away from the scary, scary clown."
"Iris would be more sympathetic," Barry grumbled, but he offered up a hand for Len to hold.
Len knew his girlfriend far too well for that, though. "Your wife," Len said primly, "would absolutely be mocking you for all you're worth right now and you know it."
"She would," Barry acknowledged, taking a peek over at the clown and then shuddering again, burrowing closer to Len. "Hide me."
"So much for the bravest hero in Central City," Len teased quietly, but he led them in the direction away from the clown all the same.
"Pretty sure you're the hero right now," Barry replied. "Saving me from the scary, scary clown."
"No need to insult me when I'm trying to be helpful," Len retorted, though the kiss he dropped on Barry's cheek belied the snark.
