The Princess Groom
Ch.10: Along Came a Spider
"Watch where your going!" a demoness with one eye shouted, Angel grinning now as he was by the doors. He rolled his eyes. "Yeah yeah. Listen Cherry. Is Molly in yet?"
Cherry nodded. "Yup. She's working guard duty." She went to say something further, only to see me walking up. She grinned.
"Ya must be David" she said kindly. "Does Charlie share?" she asked. It was noticed that she was genuinely curious. She was not trying to embarrass me. I turned to Angel. To tell the truth, I didn't know how Charlie felt about Cherry. Besides, I prided myself as a one-woman man. Cherry chuckled.
"I know she doesn't. Was just having fun" she smiled. "Names Cherry Bomb. I'm one of Angel's friends. Ya will see me around I'm sure" she smiled, winking at me. "Let me know if you ever wanna get high as fuck" she said, turning and walking away. Angel could only laugh. "Ah, that's Cherry alright. Common kid, we got food to eat, and slots to play."
The inside lobby was beautiful. Colored in aqua blue and diamond red, a taller demon girl with blonde hair and black eye shadow stood behind a podium. "IDs, please" she smiled.
Angel walked over, me in tow. Molly laughed and hugged him. "Big bro! How's life treating you?"
"Well," Angel said, cracking his neck. "Its good. David here punched out Valentino when we were walking here." This made Molly pause, looking at Angel like he had said the moon was made of gouda.
"Its true Miss" I said, smiling.
Molly quietly walked over. We were the same in height. I looked at her curiously as she got face to face with me. Pulling me in by my shoulders, she kissed me!
Angel's eyes widened, an amused twinkle to them as Molly held the kiss. 30 seconds later, she released. "That's a thank you for protecting my brother. Don't worry, Charlie won't have a problem with it."
In my daze, I looked to Angel for confirmation. He nodded with a smile. "Heh... like the time Vaggie and Nifty made out. Both were drunk as fuck. Let's say Charlie likes to watch."
"I..." My brain shut down. Not only had Angel's sister just kissed me, but I had just found out way more info about Charlie than I wanted to know. "Night" I said, before fainting, a big smile on my face. Angel facepalmed, lifting me up.
"Wake up kid."
"Relax Angel, he's coming around."
I groaned, blinking. My vision was blurry, but I was able to make out that I was sitting at a table. Angel was sitting to my left side, Molly on my right.
"Okay" I said to Molly when my vision cleared to normal. "Next time you guys wanna do that, let me know in advance."
Angel lost it, laughing as if what I said was the best thing in the world. Molly rolled her eyes, standing up. She had to get back to it.
I then looked down, seeing the spread. Angel had gotten him, and I breakfast platters.
"You know" I said frowning. "You didn't have to do this."
Angel smiled brightly, then saying the shocking words.
"Anything for my little brother."
I have never forgotten those words. Yes, Angel may not be blood. But he is my brother.
Our tummy's full, me and Angel stepped on the game floor. Angel walked with a purpose over to a slot called Hazbin Hotel. Apparently, you had to get 3 Charlie's. Angel deposited a Twenty, then gestured to the chair. "Go for it."
I sighed and sat. I was not much of a gambler (That is still true) but I sat. For five minutes I played, getting two Charlie's several times. And then it happened.
I was down to one turn left. I cracked my knuckles and pressed the go button. The screen flashed three dancing Charlie's, with it saying in bold letters: You Won!"
Speechless, I stared at the screen as I watched my winnings go up and up, before topping at $1,500. I thought for a minute I would faint again. Angel could only smile, refusing my offer to split it. Perhaps he knew what I would do not long after.
Angel waited outside, tapping his foot as he watched me at the register. I was getting something rung up. I came outside, holding a bag with a big smile.
"Let's get to the Hotel, Angel. Its time to do this right."
