"YOU WENT ON A UNATHORIZED MISSION TO PLANET Z?"

Mira cleared her throat before replying to the commander

"We did."

Nebula glared down upon the two rookies that was full of disapproval.

"YOU ARE SUSPENDED WITHOUT PAY FOR THE NEXT THREE WEEKS."

Booster was the notable silent member, visibly shaken from his recent experience, behind Mira. His space suit still had the dark blue hand print, his chassis damaged by the unexpected collison with granite, his typically white and green suit was now dulled by shoot decorating it from the incident. His features bore the expression of trauma.

"MIRA, OUT!"

Mira looked toward Booster then did as instructed.

"Booster-" he recognized that look. He had seen it when Buzz returned without Warp. "What ...happened back on Planet Z?"

"I met Ranger Darkmatter." Booster sad as he looked up toward the commander, closing his hands, with sorrow. "And he destroyed Zurg's tower."

"Got his blood on you." Nebula acknowledged, softly.

"He did?" Booster looked toward his damaged chassis. "Didn't look like he were bleeding under that wreckage."

"YOU ARE PLACED ON SUSPENSION FOR TWO MONTHS AND ORDERED TO TALK TO A HEAD SHRINK. DR ANIMUS WILL BE WAITING FOR YOU WHEN READY TO TALK."

"Yes, sir."

Booster walked out of the office then paused in front of the disappointed Space Ranger with his arms folded, XR shaking his head, equally as disappointed. He remembered the comment by the other Space Ranger, he had been crazy, going on with Mira, just to investigate what he could be plotting. He had acted like a child wanting to be part of the action. For some reason, Booster had a strange feeling that this other Darkmatter didn't have a Buzz Lightyear in his life. Darkmatter wouldn't have escaped on his own, his friend would have helped him as soon as Zurg used another person as a mercenary or had gone missing as a Space Ranger. The strong bond that they shared was a product of Buzz Lightyear's unwavering loyalty to his old partner forged by time.

"Good men aren't born, you know, Buzz?" the comment startled the Space Ranger. "They're made in ashes."

"How long have you been suspended, Booster?" Mira asked.

"Two months." Booster said then turned away and walked on rubbing the side of his shoulder. "I have to see Dr Animus."

"At least, I weren't suspended." XR said, proudly.

"XR, YOU LET THEM OUT!" Nebula announced, behind them. "SUSPENDED FOR ONE MONTH!"

"That's my whole team!"

"In my office, son." the younger Ranger entered the room then the door closed behind him. The commander turned back toward the younger man as his features changed from the typical scowl to a somber individual. "Star Command needs you to fetch Warp Darkmatter and bring him in for a round of questioning."

"Does this have anything to do with their stunt?" Buzz asked.

"Directly." Nebula handed a slip of paper to him. "Bring Warp Darkmatter to this location." Buzz looked up from the piece of paper toward the commander as he recognized the coordinates. "We got a serious problem."

"What kind of serious problem?" Buzz asked.

"Another hole in the universe." Nebula asked, gravely.

"Oh no," Buzz's features faltered then clenched his hands. "another evil Buzz Lightyear."

"No, worse than that."

"There's nothing worse than him." Buzz said.

"Evil Emperor Zurg." Nebula said.

"Sir, Zurg is predictable." Buzz folded his arms.

"He's a wild card." Nebula argued back.

"He is not, sir." Buzz replied. "I know him through and through, just as I know myself." the arrogance was astounding but quite deserved, the commander noted. "Been fighting him for 20+ years." then he added. "And with him."

"Harmless or dangerous or incompetent individual who causes problems just to have fun being evil." the commander threw his hands up into the air. "We don't know what to expect from him."

"You expect one thing from him." Buzz pointed out.

"He is coming." The commander repeated, as it meant something, there was notable fear in his features. "Slowly." He approached the photograph on the wall, featuring a large crowd of the first Space Rangers, one that featured Ion Lightyear and his first partner in the front in their early forties with a beaming Commander Nebula between them. "Like a oncoming storm, ominous," he shifted toward Buzz. "in the distance."

The commander understood the gravity of good and evil, although, he was lacking in being afraid of things he didn't know. This also made him a great Space Ranger. The commander began to approach the younger man.

"He's gonna get here, and we are going to be royally screwed if we don't know if we should fire or not fire. And that's the terrifying thought, Buzz Lightyear, we don't know."

"If there's a hole then we can find it." Buzz said.

"If we have a hole then we use the person who went through it to find it." The commander's words earned a smile from Buzz. "Makes the whole thing a lot easier to fix with the technology developed for the last hole. Now, get out, and find Zurg's mercenary!"

"You make it sound easy!" Buzz exclaimed.

"Because you find him in the end." Nebula pointed toward the exit then the younger Space Ranger grinned with that reminder, he took confidence in knowing everything was going to be fine in the end, that, was what he was keen in. "Out!"

Buzz turned away then walked out of the office as Nebula turned away facing the window of his office, linking his hands behind his back. He sighed, clenching his index finger, his shoulders lowered. The Evil Emperor was still around causing problems, somewhere, most notably in the delta quadrant retrieving his brainpods after a very rough vacation somewhere distant that the commander was not privy to. He looked at the screen propped up by the desk displaying the evil emperor barging in, grabbing the brainpods, then fleeing out of the establishment over the brainpods confusion.

The impacts of the explosion were being felt through the Galactic Alliance, there was confusion, uncertainty, about what had happened. The commander approached the comn system at his desk then sat down. This was a phone call that he had made once after Evil Buzz Lightyear had become known to Star Command, made during the repairs of Star Command, that felt a very long time ago. He keyed in the Federation President's number then leaned back into the chair. The federation president appeared in a chair across from the commander then he proceeded to fill them in.
