The Evil Emperor watched the final episode of the Netflix hit series chronicling the twenty year career that Buzz Lightyear had. He watched over the course of a thousand episodes observing the development of the friendship from a different angle between the two grow from the academy years to their Space Ranger years. It was a ride, watching Buzz Lightyear save Parsec for fifty episodes, Buzz Lightyear being a aggressive hero in the beginning then molding himself into who he used to be, a special appearance by a relative of the Gas Baron portraying him, Buzz Lightyear meeting his new partner as assigned by Nebula.
They had looked so alike, Coil and Darkmatter, they could have been twins. Zurg was impressed watching the young man grow up before his optics portraying the well known Space Ranger. His confrontations, his dealings, his relationship with Warp Darkmatter be treated as a dark unknown force to a familiar foe episode by episode with the gradual reveal that it were him for those watching without any clue who Evil Emperor Zurg had been to Buzz Lightyear. And in the final seasons of the show, he looked a lot like Warp Darkmatter as a man in his forties.
And now it were crashing around the Space Ranger on the screen. Zurg had put off this episode for a long time since Matt-hun informed him there were movies about Buzz Lightyear, that didn't squarely focus on his dealings with Zurg and there were remakes of the decades long Netflix series. The actor portraying the evil emperor had long departed the scene only seconds ago. The Space Ranger fired in the direction of hornets, stepping back, as Warp leaped and dodged the oncoming falling equipment around him, his attention tightly focused on the hornets, running away from exploding pieces, falling down to his knees, the legend became still looking up watching the beam falling bearing fear. The scene cut away from the Space Ranger to focus on the more broader one.
"Come on, Buzz, it's time for this rock to blow up!"
Warp activated his wings, running to the top of another beam, then looked on, hearing a noise below him. There was the Space Ranger, laying there, pained, struggling, then looked up toward him. The Space Ranger had a single moment of pause from above Buzz Lightyear then jogged down toward him running over to the beam. He knelt down, using his knees, to lift the beam up.
"Self destruct in fifty seconds."
Warp panicked, freezing, resting alongside the beam, panicking.
"Get out of here!" Buzz ordered
"No!" Warp shot back. "It's just fireworks, Buzz!" he grasped the Space Ranger by the shoulders then struggled to lift him out. "I'm not leaving without you."
"How would you know that?" Buzz asked.
"Because Zurg told me!" Warp replied. "Been a spy for the last twenty years! I am retiring from being a Space Ranger!"
"You're losing it, Warp!"
"But, it's true!"
"Go!"
"No!"
"We're partners!"
"And partners don't leave their partner behind!"
"Not even when they want the one they love to live instead of them?" Warp froze, staring back, shocked, slack jawed, then Buzz raised his free fist up. "I said," he smacked his fist on the red button. "GO!"
"BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUZZZZZZZZZ!"
Buzz smiled, watching his friend, flying off into space, as the flames erupted around him. His figure relaxed. The floor around him were blowing up piece by piece, long cracks formed in the ground throwing equipment all over the place with geysers made of awesome fire erupting from the ground scattering debris all over the place as the voice over started to play with the Space Ranger's log that had been used over the course of the series with Buzz Lightyear's final log before entering the lair. There was no fear, only content with one last smile. A loud explosion rocked the base, fire erupting from the top of the lair, a lone distant figure hovering in the night sky with a suit that became coated in burns from the explosion consuming the sky.
"Personal log: Warp Darkmatter and I are about to engage in a mission against Zurg in the rescue of three LGM."
Warp returned, searching the landscape, among the ruins made of the fallen lair.
"As always, it's risky."
Warp saw the man's arm peeking out, twitching, from among the wreckage.
"One of us may not come out or we both could make it out with three LGM saved."
Warp tossed aside the wreckage until finding Buzz Lightyear's corpse, perfectly ruined.
"In the end, I have unwavering faith that this mission will see it's fair conclusion with rescued LGM."
Warp knelt down to the Space Ranger's side then pressed him against his chest and wailed, screaming. His voice was overshadowed by the personal log.
"One of us may go. . ."
From behind the Space Ranger appeared Zurg's shadow, red glowing optics, his cape drifting in the background, taking slow deliberate steps forward, menacingly. The menacing red flames echoed as a soft background noise to the personal log with circuits being bent in response to the fire burning it's very being. The fire was still consuming parts of the lair that hadn't been destroyed by the explosion, but it had left left Buzz Lightyear and the improvised grave untouched. The whole lair was consumed in a red tint as Warp grieved for the person that he had loved dearly.
"To infinity. . ."
Buzz's figure was gently set down. Warp turned away from the fallen Space Ranger, lifting himself up to his feet, his hands in fists, the Evil Emperor speaking but not a word could be heard as Star Command's official theme played over. It was as if the evil emperor stood there, not speaking a word when he were speaking, the scene conveyed his reaction by the evil emperor stepping back upon his optics landing on Buzz Lightyear's fallen figure, his audio synthesizer glowing yellow repeatedly while his arms withdrew.
Vengeance was in Warp's eyes with a blood stained chassis as his shoulders raised. It was like a switch had been flipped as the Space Ranger charged then crashed upon the evil emperor, it was a epic struggle, landing some blows into the evil emperor's chassis, the emperor clawing into the uniform, the Space Ranger yanked back by the hornets and the evil emperor fled away.
"And beyond."
The screen slowly turned to black while in the middle of a fight scene with the hornets with the text with Star Command below the text outlined in gold: Ad infinitum et al. In loving memory of Captain Buzz Lightyear. Authorized by Star Command, approved by Commander Zeb Nebula and re-approved by Commander Warp Darkmatter. It were followed by a long list of consultants with laser fire in the background. Zurg was clapping his hands, slowly, with pride in the work then lowered his claws.
"That was a nice ending, don't you think?" Zurg said.
"The only interesting thing out of this is that's how it happened."
The credits played with the actors who portrayed the Space Rangers in photograph with the real deal, smiling, grinning, Ty's actor stood beside a wirewolf that bore a distinctive dog like grin wagging his tail.
"It's not the exact set of events." Zurg confessed to his companion. "Flawed. Defining. Good. Epic. Tragic." he rubbed his claws together. "Timeless." he looked toward the Buzz Lightyear toy beside him, fondly, then back toward the screen. "It's perfect."
The last one featured a naturally grayed Commander Warp Darkmatter and Rookie Quark Lightyear with Coil and Springer at a buffet, seated at a table, waving at the person who took the photograph. Quark sat by Springer while Warp sat by Coil. Warp's attention was focused on what was in front of the table, as was Coil, Springer's eyes were fixated on a figure off the camera with a smile, Quark's gaze fixated on the same thing, all the while smiling at the camera as XR was in the middle of bolting after a figure with cuffs in one hand in the middle of shouting.
"So this is why you insisted faking my death at a volcano." Matt-hun looked toward the evil emperor. "To one up Buzz Lightyear."
"Ha ha ha, no." The evil emperor leaned against his throne with one claw placed on his chassis that was coated in a red cardigan. "His death can never be topped." He shook his claw. "Matt-hun Nebula, it's time we discussed . . . your retirement plan."
"How about no?" Matt-hun folded her arms. "I like being evil!" She bore a big grin. "Not going to stop anytime soon."
Zurg merely stared back at his associate for a long moment then his shoulders sighed, lowering his gaze, then lifted his attention up. It was the heavy kind of gesture from the evil emperor who was normally quite animated.
"Everything comes to a end." Zurg said, gently, lifting a claw then gestured toward the screen, as Matt-hun squinted back at him. "No one lives forever."
"Is it because it's the 1020th anniversary since Buzz Lightyear's death tomorrow?" Matt-hun asked.
". . . Maybe." Zurg confessed.
"No ending." Matt-hun set her hands on her hips then proceeded to walk away.
Zurg sighed, lowering his gaze. It would take time for her to admit that this relationship would end by force or by choice. He stood up from his throne room then picked up his Woody toy who had a replaced cowboy hat that was the same size as the one that had been lost a long time ago. Zurg shifted his gaze toward the view screen across from them back toward the cowboy.
"You're right, partner." he tapped on the cowboy's hat, happily. "I need to go on a camping trip somewhere in the Zeta Quadrant!"
The evil emperor turned away from the screen.
"Matt-hun, you're on tower duty!" Zurg announced.
Matt-hun sulked.
"Craters." Matt-hun pouted.
"You can sit on the throne for a full twenty-four hours and order evil things." Zurg said, instantly changing the mood of the ex-Space Ranger.
"Deal." Matt-hun shifted toward the evil emperor, eager, excited.
"Also, toy sit Woody and Buzz." Zurg handed the toys to her then set his claws on the side of his hips, laughing, fondly. "Nearly lost these toys during my last camping trip that Team Heavyturbo ruined!" then he added, glaring, at her. "Guard them with your life."
"I will, I will, Evil Emperor Zurg. " Matt-hun assured.
"See you tomorrow!" Zurg waved then departed the throne room.
Matt-hun carelessly tossed the toys into the laundry basket.
It was quiet, away on a rock, full of vegetation, orbiting a sun, in the Zeta quadrant that was full of evil being lurking in the background. He saw the strange rhinoceros being that resembled a horned beetle traveling in the background, ears flickering, grazing. Every single part of the place that Zurg was currently camping on was full of evil, the delightful evil that made being bad so utterly good, the hornets set up his campsite then moved on to securing the rock. It was personal time that was well deserved.
Inhale. Exhale. Breathe. He looked at the padd that had Coil's Galactic Oscar being accepted, proudly, his hair in a large afro, with a goatee, proudly, he looked a year older than how he did in the final episode, with Hank Springer joining the stage, hugging him, laughing, proudly then stepped back and bowed before the large set of applause coming from the crowd regarding his portrayal, they had both won a Galactic Oscar for their performances as the two partners respectively. It made him feel sick, jealous, envious, that they got to grow older together when Buzz and Warp didn't.
"We like to thank all our friends and Star Command for helping us along the way hone in on our performances."
Zurg covered his voice synthesizer, fondly.
"And oh," Springer held up his index finger. "we like to complain about Evil Emperor Zurg pulling pranks on set by stealing our fellow actors and forcing them to perform Shakespeare plays for his entertainment!"
"And for doing horrible things." Coil said, haunted, then shuddered. "Horribly things."
"Like stealing Fluffy." Springer then exclaimed, his hands rolling into fists, then glared at the cieling, shaking it at the sky. "MY FLUFFY!" Springer's brows were twitching unison, a throb noted on his forehead, as Coil looked on apologetically. "My toy rabbit! My emotional support toy! AND HE STOLE MY ELECTRIC UNICYCLE AND HUNG IT ABOVE SET!"
"Stealing my lunch!" Coil added, setting a hand on the side of his hip, irritated, by the very memory. "Pretending to be De'jaciia!" then stretched his arm out pacing on the stage rolling his free fist up. "AND STEALING De'jaciia for Phoenix knows what devious plans!"
"Reaching in the fridge and walking off with our lunches!" Springer demonstrated with a fridge that had been set on the stage and opened it up, revealing tupperware with names listed, gesturing toward the names. "insisting he would give it to me and never did!"
"What a horrible emperor!" Coil sang, abruptly, showing off his singing talent, like it were a audition.
"Stealing our costumes!" Springer whined as he motioned toward the old costumes.
"Selling them on the black market!" Coil complained. "They had to make a new one for me after he got some stupid biohazard on it!" he gestured toward a crowd of people that the camera then focused on for a full on very long moment, their names listed, looking proud, happy, emotional. "Thank you costume designers for making it on short notice."
"Putting our camera crew in trees!" Springer added.
"Every cratered day," Coil scowled, and it was starting to sound like it were a routine, like they were attempting to lure in something, a certain someone, by accusing them, taunting them, about all they had done. He wold have fallen for it. "we would find the set pieces somewhere else!"
"Craters," Springer added. "evil!" He grimaced, folding his arms, then shook his head. "Worse fiend that I ever heard of."
"Thank the great Phoenix that's it over," Coil brushed a bead of sweat off his forehead. "no more problems plaguing us on this great project or any project because it's done!"
There was a loud sound of a blast from across the duo.
"Wrong again, Hank B. Springer, Wrap D. Coil!"
The two cast mates looked toward the source of the voice in surprise as if the arrival wasn't expected.
"It's never over being terrorized by, I, the all powerful Evil Emperor Zurg!" Zurg heard his voice, the camera focused on him, standing on a throne, his shoulder armor were puffy, his cape unchanged, just as his fashion, with a menacing laugh. "I am here to take over this entire Oscar Ceremony and win today!"
Zurg cracked up as the younger men fled and there were screaming in the background as the cameras remained fixed in place, watching the crowd try to flee, desperately. The Evil Emperor wheezed, watching the scene unfold, cackling, giggling, watching as Raptor Chill appeared from the crowd alongside Milky Weight - as if they had been assigned to the ceremony - and fought off the hornets. He envied the impostor. So, so, so much.
"Hello, Heavyturbo." Zurg stood in front of the screen at the tower only a day later, in better spirits. "Accusing me of some misfortune that's fallen upon the Galactic Alliance for the fifth time this week?" the evil emperor rubbed his claws together, gleefully, but flattered. "Still working on my next evil plan."
"No . . ." Ida said. "Something far worse."
"Leaving Star Command against your will?" Zurg asked.
"Worse." Ida grimaced.
"You're dying and there's no cure." Zurg said.
"More severe than that." Ida replied.
"You're surrendering your mortal form for a non-corporeal civilization that need a new voice among them."
"I am afraid it is more severe than that." Ida said.
"Becoming a AI in a eternal shell?" Zurg asked.
Ida sighed, briefly closing their eyes, painfully.
"Galactic Alliance are formally inviting you to Peace Conference that features the surrender of all planets."
"I reject that invite, defeating the Galactic Alliance is harder and far more difficult than that." Zurg pointed back at the Space Ranger.
"But wait, there's more!" Ida added.
"What could possibly be interesting?" Zurg turned his helm, his clasping a claw over his red optics.
Ida bore a big grin in response to the question then held out two familiar toys summoning the evil emperor to stand up.
"We have your cowboy and your space ranger toys." Ida said.
Zurg vanished from the throne room then reappeared, fuming.
"CURSE YOU, IDA HEAVYTURBO!"
"And you can't send Agent Z," Ida said. "If you do, we will have no choice but to destroy them."
"You have me at a disadvantage." Zurg's claws were clenched against the palm of his servo over Ida's grin. "You win. . . THIS round!"
"See you there, Zurg." Ida winked then the screen ended.
"Remind me to speak with Agent Z later," Zurg twirled his claw before adding. "They're sleeping right now."
"Added to your schedule, Evil Emperor Zurg." One of the grubs announced.
The grubs were frightened of the emperor who then visibly cooled down then made a series of orders locking out Matt-hun. He descended the throne clenching at his chest, heartache, pain, misery. He rubbed the top of his helm not feeling well as his system had peeled open the emotional wound. With a simple change of programming, the wound was covered up with another set of program that acted as a firewall to the doorway and the feelings that were rocking him were held tightly at bay. 20 years, just like losing a previous friendship. She really wasn't his friend, after all. The highest and most evil betrayal that hurt. He admired her, couldn't be around her without killing her with his heat ray vision for lying to him.
The emperor departed the tower then took a dreadnought back to Morph. There was only immense sadness lingering in the air around the emperor peeking out of the programming as the number repeated over and over and over and a haunting thought. Somebody close to you is dying today and it's all your fault. He covered the train of thoughts with another series of programming concealing them from processor replaced by immense anger at the Galactic Alliance. He was going to make them pay deeply for their stealing.
He stood at the orbit of Morph then paused admiring the location where Star Command had once been. There was no fixed place, everywhere was the base, it was a deeply embedded part of civilization, it was the crux of life, being a Space Ranger fighting against evil. It was surprising the amount of evil that continued on in the future long after his impostor's defeat in the past with crime that were swept under the rug and not minded, everyone else's heads in the dirt like a ostrich, pretending that it weren't there, until he came into the picture and yanked their heads out. They still couldn't see the threat looming behind him, not that he complained, he had been enjoying the oncoming foe with his then long time friend Matt-hun doing evil things against them taking apart the threat one part at a time like janga.
He gave the order and the planet was attacked. Once, he were certain that Alliance Plaza suffered the most damage, the attack was ceased with a simple order. The evil emperor took a shuttle down to the surface, his hands linked behind his back, then watched as the ruins of the cities appeared before his eyes, people pointing at him, fear, terror, confusion, as the shuttle headed toward the coordinates provided. The untouched museum of Star Command made of the old Star Command. It was quite nostalgic to see the old place once again after twenty years. He entered through the way that he had came in twenty years ago, hands linked behind his back, breezing in through the wide corridor, arriving in to the Star Cruiser bay.
Star Command shifted toward him, every single one, including a very familiar face. Zurg stepped back, panic, his helm shaking, taking another step back, then the door closed behind him before he could escape. He turned around as Ida held Woody doll mere feet away from him wearing a cocky grin.
"We want you to go back to when you came from!" Ida said. "And never come back!"
"Or else, your toys have it." the Space Ranger with his face said, holding the Buzz Lightyear toy, with a plasma blaster aimed at it.
Zurg was trembling in terror as he locked on a very human Space Ranger with a very familiar build.
"HE'S GOING TO DIE!" Zurg had a girly shriek stumbling back.
Star Command grew concerned before Zurg.
"Unless you leave, no." Ida said with a grin.
"Uh. . . . Guys. . ." Rookie Neon Darkmatter said, concerned, beside XR, lowering the toy. "The Evil Emperor is looking at me."
He looked just like Buzz Lightyear as dread consumed the Evil Emperor's entire being and pressure built up in his optics.
"Why would he think you're going to die, Neon Darkmatter?" XR asked.
"Maybe . . ." Neon started to suggest. "because he tried cloning him and he kept dying."
And then the Evil Emperor exploded with his heat ray vision in a moment of panic leaving ruins behind, his heat ray vision wrecking bridges above him. There were screaming around him, terrifying those around him, frightening the visiting cadets. The evil emperor was clenching his helmet, pained, then lowered his gaze stepping back. Ida looked on surprised in the general direction of the Evil Emperor Zurg but Commander Fairflight was not surprised in the least behind them. Fairflight bore a smug grin, watching, with glee as the Evil Emperor lost control.
And it hurt and it hurt and it hurt, breaking inside, losing control.
"Evil Emperor Zurg, we come in peace!" Ida announced as XR watched in horror.
He turned away from the screaming, the shouting, blasting open a door, blinded, unable to see where he were going.
"Someone turn on the fire extinguisher system!" another cadet shouted.
"Can't, it was deactivated last week for repairs!" The janitor, a small green alien with oval eyes, replied.
"Craters!" Ida shouted.
He couldn't see! It were too dark! Too full of all these emotions when facing with a person who could die being a good man because of Zurg.
"Hornets!" Zurg called out, loudly. "Destroy me!"
Zurg tried to cover his optics only burning off his servo before XR's optics at the horrifying request.
"Oh no." XR started as he shook his head watching a nightmare unfold before his optics. This is what it felt like to dream one, experience one, unable to wake up. "No, no, no," the arm became a mere stump. "no, no, no, no, no."
And the evil emperor heard the hornets then turned toward their direction. The hornets aimed then proceeded to fire. With a turn towards them, he destroyed them on sight without mercy including all of them that were charging in. Zurg screamed, struggling to contain the emotions flowing through his programming in charge of the laser vision, withdrawing his other claw, scared, as a couple claws were sawed off. He turned his attention away then focused on the floor beneath him and stood there clenching his helmet.
"Zurg, stop it!" Ida demanded. "You're going to destroy yourself!"
Zurg was irritated by the comment in the mist of his screaming.
"I am staring at the floor! Aren't I?" it came out quite calmly. "I don't hear screaming here, Ida Heavyturbo!" he shook a stump in the air. "Ignore me."
Ida grimaced as the floor beneath him gave out then crashed down to the next floor then the Space Ranger loomed over him
"Stop it, anyway!" Ida shot back.
"Hardly think in this state of being it's possible." Zurg commented.
"You're not the only one on this floor, Zurg!" Ida shot back as the LGM maintenance workers fled. "It is threatening the structural integrity of Star Command!"
"That's the funny thing, Ida Heavyturbo." Zurg laughed, menacingly, his shoulders shaking with laughter then shifted toward her. "You caused the greatest evil event in the history of Morph."
Ida leaped over to the other side of the hole's opening then Zurg shifted his attention away.
"I didn't do that-"
"You played a part in it." Zurg's voice fell softer, kinder, becoming a gentler version of his evil tone. "Don't deny it, Space Ranger." it was said with fondness. "It was well intended." Ida looked down in horror. "Give my applause to Commander Fairflight."
He looked on, sentimentally, sadly, down, making another hole.
"Where's a Buzz Lightyear when you need one?"
He shifted toward Ida who ducked.
"Right. . ." Anger spread back to his optics as his shoulders raised in rage. "dead."
He stretched his arms out.
"He can't stay alive long after being recreated" He folded his arms below his gaze. "He never can!" he turned his attention away. "No matter what I do!" he smacked a fist against the wall leaving a crater. "He always wins!"
The evil emperor smacked his armless shoulder against the wall leaving a dent as Ida stepped back as his elbow was bleeding blue.
"AND I ALWAYS LOSE TO HIM!"
He lifted his other arm toward his view destroying it in mere minutes, melting in mere moments, then looked up in rage as Ida grew defiant then pressed her Star Command symbol, her suit powering up, then flew on toward him. She bore a grin before flying off toward the Evil Emperor, her flight wings extended, then reached her hand out for the helmet. Ida crashed on to his shoulders then yanked his helmet off disconnecting his head from the helmet that was then flung away with the Space Ranger. The helmet crashed to the floor then the weakened floor gave out beneath him with a loud crash.
Ida gazed down, observing the broken figure of the Evil Emperor on the ground, while carrying his helmet in their arms. He struggled to lift himself up, groaning, but fell, his energy depleted, he proceeded to drag himself away from her view as Space Rangers started to surround the hole gazing down. Ida dropped the Woody doll to the ground behind the Evil Emperor then turned her attention toward the commander. The Evil Emperor's stray remaining piece of a elbow, while trembling felt along the toy, then relaxed, tucking it between his stumped arm and where his elbow still remained, then resumed without trembling, defiantly.
"You knew." Ida pointed at the commander, appalled. "You knew this would happen."
"The only way to apprehend him." Fairflight said.
"That wasn't right." Ida said.
"And it worked." Fairflight reasoned back as Ida shifted toward the fallen Evil Emperor's figure on the ground. "Only got critically wounded," Fairflight counted on her fingers. "ruined buildings, civilians hidden in underground shelters, and a damaged museum piece."
"If your name was Fairfight then this would be very ironic." Ida commented.
"It's occurred to me a few times." Fairflight commented with a shrug as Ida slowly applauded her.
"He sends his sincerest admiration." Ida said, in disgust, then ceased applauding.
Zurg's figure collapsed, drained of energy, defeated.
From the orbit of a black hole, a white dot flung out of it, heading with no certain course in hyper sleep. It flew in what later became the general direction of Matt-hun's spacecraft then crashed against it leaving a large dent. Matt-hun's craft was stricken off course with a scream then the course was adjusted. She squinted at the flying figure ahead of her then chased after it, her brows twitching, catching up with the speeding figure. If she were still a Space Ranger then she would have taken in the culprit and arrested them for speeding.
She kept the ship at the speed that the figure was going then ghosted out and returned with the figure. She set the figure down beside the chair laying there on the floor. She looked toward the figure, a Space Ranger, the figure was in emergency hibernation mode with the gray clouds lingering in it that part was very clear. She slowed down the vehicle then tapped on her lips then gazed back toward the list of errands on the green view screen that Zurg had sent only a day ago regarding their shared headache that was getting in the middle of making evil plans and retrieving the factors of it.
"Evil Emperor Zurg will never forgive me if I don't get what he wants and send the complete gift to that nasty ancient civilization."
Matt-hun relaxed with the decision made.
"Here goes nothing."
She looked toward the Space Ranger.
"You'll wake up, later."
Matt-hun smirked.
Zurg powered up, his body in the resting position, lingering in the dark. What was in the dark? More people with Buzz Lightyear's face? The dark was terrifying. He couldn't feel his arms, his legs, his chassis, as if he had been disconnected from his entire body, vulnerable. He couldn't see the area below him-if he could see then he must have a helmet and head to move. He couldn't use his heat ray vision to provide some form of lighting; it had to be a temporary helmet.
Where was Woody? Where was his Buzz Lightyear toy? Had they been thrown away and been sent off to the furnace? He was in uncharted territory, stripped of what had been his greatest assets, his weapons, his assurance, his confidence, his armor, and control. What was there to lose? What was left of the evil emperor was trembling.
Spotlight poured on and a purple figure with multiple arms came forward.
"It's been a very long time since you were a threat to the Galactic Alliance."
"Served it well." Zurg commented as the figure approached him. "Too well."
"Evil Emperor Zurg, I am the newly elected federation president." was the introduction. "We haven't talked face to face," Ah, that is why he didn't recognize the federation president. "But I have one question that the people would like answered." the federation president held a hand out with multiple arms on his side. "Why did you leave?"
"You need me." Zurg said.
The federation president glared back at the emperor.
"We don't." the federation president argued back. "We were doing quite fine twenty years ago before you stormed in."
"No, you undeniably need me."
"We did not. We've taken care of petty threats before you, we can take care of further small threats like you."
The Evil Emperor weighed telling the president of what he had uncovered, what he had been taking down for the last fifteen years. It was less of a threat than it had been in the beginning after trolling, stealing, bargaining, making spies, slipping them in, and keeping a well regulated fund. If Matt-hun had done the list of chores, they were down to his level, the brainpods already orchestrating the removal of the spies from the ancient civilization in regards to faking their death. Instead, he opted to give his reason.
"There's someone worse than me heading in the way of your beloved future."
"Who?"
"EVIL Buzz Lightyear! Remember the legends? The myths? The story? IMAGINE HIM RUTHLESS!"
The federation president stared at the shaken Evil Emperor.
"We're sufficiently prepared for such a event. You've changed history, running away, from Buzz Lightyear."
"So?"
"We've done the math, if you were to return, nothing would change from this point. The empire was slowly being taken apart from the inside anyway with the brainpods departing from Planet Z."
"Take me back to Planet Z."
"That planet is evil." the federation president said, calmly.
"So AM I." Zurg shot back.
"We can't allow for that." the federation president said.
"Why not?" Zurg glared back at the federation president.
"Evil has no place in a time of peace." the federation president said.
"Lying about my well being, that's gall, devious, to get the ends that are wanted."
"Right now, Star Command is sending a crew to Planet Z to undo that switch-a-roo that you did."
"It's not going to last long."
"We have people betting otherwise." The federation president walked around the trapped emperor with a smirk. "Sure, we will provide sanctuary."
He tapped along the thick long cords that were dangling behind the emperor still very connected.
"Sure, we will have you fixed in no time." the federation president had a laugh as he came back into his view. "Already got you that arm ready to be attached," Zurg's optics shifted toward a table that was revealed with a spot light. "old specs and all," the federation president linked his hands behind his back with a smile. "we like you to be returned exactly the same way you entered this world."
He paused in his tracks, tapping his chin, before adding as a after thought.
"Only, uh, putting on, that helmet," he tapped on the evil emperor's helmet that was armed with heat ray vision. "after you get back."
Zurg glared back at the federation president.
"You can't keep evil here long." Zurg reminded the federation president, darkly.
He turned toward the evil emperor with amusement.
"We are the Galactic Alliance." the representative turned away, hands linked behind his back, then walked on. "We can."
The evil emperor glared back at the federation president.
"I will take sincere pleasure in knocking that arrogance off the face of the Galactic Alliance!" Zurg announced as the federation president went toward the brightly lit up doorway then exited, the doors closing behind him, as his comment echoed like a promise. "I will!"
