"Okay, Lightyear, time to chuck you into Star Command-holy mother of-"

Buzz heard the sound of footsteps pacing back.

"Lightyear?" Darkmatter sounded concerned.

It hurt and it hurt and it hurt and it hurt.

"My gods."

He could practically hear his ex-partner get angry so he yanked his hand forward, tearing a new one in his shoulder, grabbing hold.

"Don't." Buzz warned, trembling. "He is going down a very dark path," he shook his head. "The only way out for Evil Emperor Zurg is that he gets what he wants."

"Then the other Galactic Alliance will destroy him." Darkmatter said with a grimace.

"Can't have a Evil Emperor Zurg without a Buzz Lightyear," Buzz smiled then released his grip. "Doesn't it sound like a golden rule?"

"It does." Darkmatter agreed with a nod. "Try and get some sleep. Be back at Star Command being treated."

"Warp, a thing like this happening. . ." Buzz commented then grinned. "makes one appreciate how things turned out, doesn't it?"

"Slightly." Darkmatter slid the Space Ranger's arm on to the bed. "Remain still. We're stuck here for awhile, those dreadnoughts attack anything that moves." he glared upon the Space Ranger. "And no, would never remain a Space Ranger after your death. It's nuts."

"Wouldn't dream of it." Buzz said as he turned his head aside with a smile.

"Here, temporary eyes."

"Don't need them."

"Do too."

"Not. Resting."

"Resting requires having eyes."

"What kind of argument is that?"

"You look weird without them in!" Darkmatter shoved the prosthetic eyes into the sockets. "Better!"

"OOOOOOOOOOOWWW!" Buzz whined.

"Big baby, they just pinched you." Darkmatter commented as he rolled his eyes.

Darkmatter went back up filled in certainty that the Space Ranger would be fine. He always was fine. It would be insane for Buzz not to be. The world that his counterpart came from was a very insane one that lacked all the qualities of a sane world. Buzz lifted himself up, uncertain, then withdrew a port hole and gazed out looking toward the fleet of Dreadnoughts.

"Bring me Jaj, member of the Jorace clan, or be annihilated!"

Gravitinia knocked down a small section of the city with a single movement of her hands once the message had been conveyed through the connection. The Evil Emperor repeated his request, loudly, in broad public, looming over the grand city. Fury mixed in with regret and anger in his words. Nos-4-A2 was distracted from above dealing with the repair drones trying to prevent further attacks from the vessel above. Dreadnoughts fired at individual continents emphasizing the Evil Emperor's desire against the reluctance of the Nask. It became quite clear that Jaj was the leader of the Nask. The Evil Emperor grinned inwardly at the apparent fact observing strange smooth machines awaiting to begin a heavy conflict. His arm became a blaster as Zurg bots descended from above.

"They've decided to be warmly greeted by Death." Gravitina noted as she stretched her arms out then folded them against her chest.

"That is the wrong choice." Zurg's arm turned into a blaster while the civilians fled to underground tunnels. "Gravitina, do a favor."

"Any favor." Gravitina said with a smile as she looked toward him.

"Cover my six." Zurg said, gravely. "No matter what."

"I'll do it for Warp Darkmatter." Gravitina said as she unfolded her arms

"And for Buzz Lightyear." Then the Evil Emperor laughed at the sweet destruction about to befall the entire planet. "How delightful," he stretched his arms out, enjoying the moment, feeling like his old self. "he would be very appalled and be the moth to the flame of disaster."

A decent sized army made of machines and the Nask mixed in nicely awaited ahead of the group.

"Now, is the time that we begin." Gravitina bore a smile looking toward the Evil Emperor.

Zurg raised his index finger aiming at the army ahead of them.

"Zurg army. . . . " Zurg started, coolly, then paused deliberately for a long and still moment for emphasis. "Destroy the Nask!"

The two armies clashed, loudly. Zurg remained above the crowd, anger stewing, watching as the machines were exchanging fire. He turned his attention toward the young woman then back as he inwardly smiled.

"Space Rangers in transit in their Star Cruisers," Zurg started to sing, somberly, "Waiting to get there, patiently."

Gravitina knocked down a entire building upon a large set flying toward her.

"A team." He looked back, a memory flickering before his optics of the rookie. "Once a number of one," he clenched his claws. "then to two," then the mental image was joined by a young Darkmatter with a big afro. "and to," he saw the specter of the rookie become a captain, his companion's afro go away, the the rookie turned captain vanish, with remorse on the features of the Space Ranger who was shortly joined by a few familiar faces surrounding him causing him to smile. "three." and then he added. "And to four."

Zurg fired at a oncoming attack by a Nask knocking the limp form down to the ground like they were a bug that had been swatted.

"They disembark in orbit, turn on their wings, flying as a unit, their bubbles activated."

He caught one of the Nask then used both hands to crush their hand leaving a mess of goo and ick with slime then tossed aside the limp corpse to the side.

"Firing their wrist lasers, aimed at their target, defiant, firing at hornets against certain doom!"

Zurg dusted his hands off then flung off the yucky remains and pieces of bones as his claws lifted up then melted then down.

"Space Rangers," He clasped his hands together against his helm, finding the defiant Nask adorable, then his arm became a blaster that was then fired at them, this time singing to a upbeat tune. "it's fun," He turned toward a new foe then laughed. "aiming at them," he dodged the blast then grabbed the foe by the long extended head that had spikes curled along the side then smashed them repeatedly against the edge of the lift. "toying with them," He tossed the barely conscious Nask off his lift then stretched his arms out, blissfully. "taunting them," he aimed his blaster at the Nask behind him then fired at the head knocking them down to the ground. "mocking them!"

He stretched his arms out, enjoying the spice, happily.

"They switch the table in to their favor, turning a negative into a positive, what is there not to admire?"

Several buildings fell behind the Evil Emperor with a loud roar as he clenched his hands.

"They make worthy foes!"

He twirled, catching a Nask, then shoved his fist into their chest and tore out their heart then chucked them aside.

"Exchange laser blasts, wrestle them, pin them, capture them, torture them-"

Zurg turned away from the falling city as the Zurg bots began to prevail around him.

"Sorting out the unskilled and terrible from the bad, from the good, leaving them behind, wounded, they're not worth the attention!"

He clenched his claws as Gravitina shot down a Nask with a piece of furniture with a smile.

"They fight with their intelligence when their might is unable to be used!"

The Evil Emperor proceeded to cackle.

"And best of all!" Zurg kept on singing. "They are the real ones who make being evil fun!" He strummed a imaginary guitar in his hands. "They never give up!" He lowered his arms down to his side. "It starts out as a thrill, then it grows into excitement, then it becomes into joy!"

Zurg's lift lowered toward the ground as the Zurg bots made a clearing for him and Gravitina was wrecking the buildings with her mere hand motions.

"It's fun to target. . ." Zurg saw a familiar red and yellow on the ground then picked it up, how did that get here? He lifted the toy up then looked at the foot seeing the text reading: Zurgy. His voice proceeded to crack. "Space Rangers."

Zurg looked down in confusion then lowered the toy as he stood up to his feet, clenching his hands, a reminder, of who he had came for, why he had came here, who he was doing this for. Buzz Lightyear. He trembled in rage facing the wave of the army ahead of him and Zurg bots waited behind him, standing over the corpses of fallen Nask, furniture littering the landscape, smoke drifting on the ground around the Evil Emperor and his army. He clenched the chassis of the toy in his claw. Mind games? A secret test of character? Peering into his mind was very likely.

He wasn't going to leave until they had given what was being held captive and never lay their hands on him, ever, again. Or else, he were going to make sure of it. Was he still sane? Or insane? He couldn't be sure.

"Give me my NEMESIS OR BECOME EXTINCT!" Zurg roared then threw the toy to the ground down for emphasis. "Play fair!"

The toy vanished, it had never been there, replaced by a simple small machine that had broken in two and the Evil Emperor fired the next shot. The Zurg bots clashed with the Nask army, carrying on through the city, as numerous cities were attacked all over the globe, the Evil Emperor personally attended the destruction with his heat ray vision causing several buildings to collapse, he watched as several Nask melted down before his optics screaming in anguish and withering in agony. Flames floated up into the sky as the destruction continued on toward the tall spirals of the planet hooked into vehicles. The spirals fell one at a time crashing against the other as flames bounced from one to the next leaving burns and deceased behind, unanimous screaming carried through the air.

Zurg admired the destruction, feeling more like his old self, it was quite therapeutic. Destruction, caused by him, releasing every single ounce of fury that had carried since the accident. He admired his combined handy work with the mistress of mass then looked toward her chair. She was enjoying this activity a lot with her mood being amplified by the highly advanced lift that had been created in short order. She bore a big grin, cackling, taking delight, admiring, the attractive Nask that dared attempt to fling her off the chair. What fun she were having was easily demonstrated with her laughter.

There was a sting in his processor that caused him to clench his helmet as he felt significant portions of it were damaged. He lifted his gaze up toward the direction of the freely flying being that had oval dark green eyes welding a suit armed with several other members of it's species. Inwardly, Zurg proceeded to smile then grinned at the turn of events. Jaj was at the center welding a crown on the top of his head that seemed to be part of the suit at first glance.

"How sweet. . . " Zurg proceeded to say to himself, somberly, softly. ". . Does it feel. . " He smiled at the foe. ". . . to be the villain. . . " He clenched his servo. "...Of this story."

"I am Jaj!" Jaj cried.

Evil Emperor Zurg had enough charge in his blaster. Plenty of electricity to summon. Armed with heat ray vision. Plenty of heat ray vision. His heat ray vision is the first to be fired upon the flying targets knocking a number of them down leaving Jaj fleeing for his life. The Evil Emperor flew after the Nask with his rocket boots blazing a path ahead. With one strike, he knocked down the Nask that fell like a rock landing to the ground with a thud. Jaj turned over on to his side then reached a hand out and clenched it. Zurg halted in his tracks looking upon the familiar form of the commander looking up toward him, younger, lines absent from his features, his mustache dark as it had been in the very beginning. The prototype Space Ranger uniform. Jaj grinned at the hesitation then punched the Evil Emperor square at the chassis knocking the android back landing with a crash between two vehicles.

The three remaining members of the squad that Jaj had flown to the scene with landed to the ground. One of them fired a net toward the Evil Emperor who flung out of the way and fired after that individual using his blaster knocking them back. Zurg caught the second member of the squad then twisted their head like he were unscrewing them then ripped their head off the body with a simple yank. He tossed aside the corpse over his shoulder approaching Jaj who stared in horror. The two members fired after him, repeatedly, leaving trails of smoke behind. The Evil Emperor walked on forward with his servos clasped in fists, his armor absorbing the force of the blast, the small flames on his cape fading away, his optics displaying little sign of damage. The remaining members of the squad fired repeatedly, the Evil Emperor walked through each blast, flicking off dust from his shoulder pads, while he kept on walking.

"It feels GOOD to be evil!"

Zurg began to sing.

"Being in the shadows of the dark side is FUN!"

The smoke parted with each blast.

"People chase you for vengeance and you get to combat them!"

He clenched his claws.

"Evil goes with a flair," He fired at the feet of the two knocking them back then held up the blaster and synthesized the sound of blowing smoke off. "a style," He walked forward then spotted Jaj flying away. "that makes one intimidating against disaster..."

He turned on his boots.

"against a curtain,"

Gravitina was cackling distantly.

"Never had this much fun in ages!" Gravitina announced, twirling from her chair, then lounged, giggling.

"Against the back drop of a army from behind!"

The Zurg bots flew on behind him.

"Style makes me look awesome!"

The Evil Emperor laughed as Jaj cowered in a moment of terror.

"The battle is more entertaining with someone who has free will." Zurg noted to himself.

Zurg flew overhead with his throne lift appearing above the Zurg bots then flung himself into.

"Don't you want to express the heart?" Zurg gestured toward his chest then withdrew his fists. "The feelings?" He held his claws out, gesturing, toward the fleeing Nask. "The bad stuff?"

Jaj bolted into another city as his companions chased after the Evil Emperor firing after him repeatedly.

"That's what a villain does!"

The Evil Emperor cackled, menacingly, leaning forward, as his lift carried after Jaj.

"We do what we wish and what we want," He fired at a bridge tearing it in two causing screaming figures to fall. "-with little regard to others," He flew after Jaj as one of the Zurg bots shot the remainder members of the squad. "leaving a trail of drama behind," Zurg extracted a piece of a cable taking it with him causing a entire sight seeing building to fall side ways taking it out of it's foundation. "a tale of might," He let go of the cable as he stretched his arms out. "and a name to remember!"

Zurg cackled distantly behind the fleeing Jaj.

"It feels good to be evil!"

Zurg pointed toward the fleeing Jaj.

"Destroy Jaj of the Jorace Clan!" Zurg stopped singing for a single moment.

He clenched his claws against his chassis as he resumed singing.

"Causing destruction, winning, and losing!" he stretched his arms out then looked up toward the sky. "it's what keeps evil on it's feet!" Inwardly, a big grin curled. "It's what helps it stand to this very day! Having a end to the evil scheme!" He twirled then looked down upon the falling figure as he clenched one fist looking down upon the falling Jaj. "Admiration, pride, and never giving up!" The lift flew after the falling Nask. ""The things you can accomplish being a villain in the short span of time before being thwarted by a Space Ranger."

There wasn't a Space Ranger around to stop him, not this time.

"It feels good to be evil!" Zurg sang, firing his blaster after the falling Nask who screamed. ""Being in the shadows of the dark side is FUN!"

Jaj screamed in horror.

"People chase you for vengeance-"

Jaj pressed a button and a large energy ball crashed against the craft sending the Evil Emperor flying. Jaj crashed to the ground then took out a blaster from the side of the holster along his thigh. He tried to summon his puppet from the sky but it wouldn't budge. He could feel sincere lethargy, sedation, and restriction from the other end. Jaj closed his fist, angry, watching the lift crash to the ground searching through the tall spirals of the city for the Evil Emperor. It was quiet in the lower section of the city searching for him. The ground shook beneath his feet, he looked up, spotting the dreadnought in the sky distantly, firing at the city. He turned around, twirling, in the direction of what he felt was a definite presence and fired. Jaj froze, horrified, it had been a elder, staring at the representative of his world, alongside younger members who were growing distraught as he stepped back away from the small crowd then whipped around.

"-and you get to combat them!"

A single punch knocked him back to the ground then the Evil Emperor threw a additional series of them then cracked his knuckles as the Nask retreated.

"Submit." Zurg requested, politely, rubbing his wrists.

"Never!" Jaj cried.

The Nask got back up then threw a punch that knocked back the Evil Emperor back down into the street. Jaj got up and fled on his feet through the limits bolting through apartments. The Evil Emperor simply stared down, observing the small fist sized hole, flicking off dirt from the damaged chest plate then his rocket boots turned on. The Evil Emperor flew after the general direction that the Nask had gone then used his heat ray vision through the building through the windows earning rows of screams. Jaj bolted out a window crashing through another. The Evil Emperor followed shortly there after in to the next apartment complex landing on to his feet then ran out of the bedroom leaving a screaming five year old behind.

"Steal a lollipop," Zurg sang.

Zurg paced back then took out a lollipop, apologetically, handing it off to the child.

"Steal a metal detector,"

Zurg ran on taking a metal detector tucked behind the curtains left behind by the parent, leaving the sniffling child behind. The Evil Emperor smacked the Nask with the metal detector once he got close enough at the edge of the spiral staircase knocking him off his feet and falling.

"STEAL A LIFE," Zurg drew out the last syllable in the verse as he leaned over the railing as he paused below the falling Nask, at random, pleased over the screams. "Steal their comfort, steal their tranquility, steal their happiness!"

The Evil Emperor loomed over then sighed, disappointed, watching the Nask still screaming.

"Steal a moment of time."

He flew after the Nask then smacked him repeatedly with the metal detector landing several blows against the ribs, the head, and the hands as the attack went on. Jaj untangled himself out of the trap, flying away, a trail left behind by his jet pack. Zurg threw aside the broken metal detector continuing the flight on through the windy apartment complex with his optics glued to the trails. He caught up with the fleeing Nask who leaped out of the window landing on to a hill. Jaj fled on, on foot, doubling, splitting off into multiple people before the Evil Emperor. Zurg's heat ray vision went through them making it incredibly easy to pin down who were the real target. The Nask army was having their asses handed down to them by the Zurg bots holding their own well enough. Finally, Jaj came to a dead end made of abandoned buildings and scrap metal in a ghost town then turned around summoning projections all over the place. With ease, Zurg reduced the ghost down to rubble as Jaj fell down to the ground. The lone Nask aimed his blaster right at him.

"And have all the satisfaction of stealing them all to yourself!" Zurg drew out the last few syllables for emphasis, having a gall of a time, enjoying this conflict.

Jaj fired at the Evil Emperor, repeatedly, the blast not landing a dent on him then he got up to his feet.

"You, sir, are not a Space Ranger." Zurg said, instead of sung, standing there.

Jaj clenched his jaw then clenched his hands.

"Better! A Nask!"

Jaj stretched his hand out then invaded the Evil Emperor's mind, it hurt, it ached, it stung, feeling damage in his processor. Zurg took a few steps forward, focused on one target and one target only, the one that was in front of him as the scenery around him became questionable. Jaj squinted then turned around fleeing for his life as the Evil Emperor fired after him in quick succession as the Nask flew through the city. Zurg grabbed a long cord dangling from between two buildings that was coated in clothing, tore the clothing off, then flung it at the fleeing target's legs and knocked him against the window of a building and dragged him down to the pavement. The Evil Emperor tied the cord around a street light then slowly approached the target. His arm became that of a blaster, weighed down by heaviness, as the ground trembled and people were still fleeing in the distance with the color of the flames displaying their shadows against the dark buildings. Under the night, the Evil Emperor lifted up his blaster aiming at Jaj.

"Submit to my will, much." Zurg noted.

"Why . . . .are you doing this all for the Ipsedan?" Jaj asked.

"If I did not do this," Zurg began to reply, calmly. "this would have cost Darkmatter's freedom."

"If you do this, it will be your downfall." Jaj warned

"Hmmm." The Evil Emperor commented. "That was my initial warning, wasn't it? More or less. . ."

"Who . . ." Jaj squinted back at the Evil Emperor. "Are you?"

"I am Emperor Zurg." Zurg's said, ominously with a laugh. "And you are in my way!"

Jaj glared back toward the Evil Emperor then a evil glint went off in his oval green eyes. The deed was done with a single blast to the head destroying it in a instant leaving a headless corpse knelt down to the Evil Emperor. Zurg knocked aside the corpse, looking around, firing at nothingness that was laughing at him. His processor was riddled with insanity, his optics saw enemies all around him that Jaj had somehow replicated himself. The Evil Emperor grew very furious that he had missed his target. A code launched to the dreadnought, then the figure was no longer forced to rest, although he were still considerably weak, all the while death began to be dealt on the surface of the planet below him. The Space Ranger groaned, aching all over, unable to move, feeling sore, the dark environment of the chamber making it easy to determine where he were, it was different compared to the Nask's choice of theme. Their rooms had been white with black screens outlined in blue holographic frames in the room that they had tortured him in. But it felt more like investigating his weakness, what kept him alive, what killed him. He cleared his throat with some difficulty feeling unable to get up.

A mean looking grub loomed over him then signaled to the other grub below them and withdrew. The Space Ranger passed out as a nutrient tube proceeded to be put into his nose. It was quiet, peaceful, relaxing, never felt better, and free for that matter. He briefly came to, looking toward his side, observing the familiar hallucination that had helped him through captivity, then smiled, struggling to lift his head up, in every ounce of pain, then lowered as a grub set a hand on his shoulder. A desire to talk about things he wanted to say and never could when it was the real and living Buzz Lightyear in his view. Warp opted to smile back at the figure that faded then he fell back into the black. This time, feeling that things were going to be okay.

From the karman line, a Star Cruiser appeared, then a lone figure came flying out of it as the grubs proceeded to track down the two members of the miniature army. Gravitina was the easiest to reach, Nos-4-A2 was the hardest to find as the battle above the surface of the planet had ceased unexpectedly. Gravitina looked upon the resting Space Ranger, smiling, gratefully, relieved, that she could say the words when he were wide awake. She withdrew with her arms folded then set in the nearest chair and fell asleep. If there were ways that one could say 'thank you' without saying it, this was one of the better ways. The dreadnought remained in orbit waiting for the last member to be taken aboard as the Space Ranger landed down to the surface of the planet the helmet retracted, revealing Ty the wirewolf, welding a Space Ranger suit that was red and yellow, glaring in the direction of the carnage that the Evil Emperor was raging upon the fleeing innocents. Around the dreadnoughts, a series of silver Star Cruisers with red paint instead of green appeared behind the lone one ready to destroy the ships, all save for one dreadnought that housed Warp.

Nos-4-A2 was searching through the dark scenery with flames crackling, rubble all around them, abandoned buildings, they're a small figure in comparison their shadow is reflected off in the dimly red lit clouds. They were calling out for Zurg, "Father? Father? Father! Father!" scared, concerned, and worried. Buzz arrived to the surface of the planet, despite all the torture being under gone, being applied by the prosthetic, he clenched his hands. The Evil Emperor was staying longer than anticipated on a world that he would normally conquer in little more than a hour with security that could be overtaken. It was quite apparent that something was wrong, never mind having to slip out of the ship, never mind having to leave Darkmatter behind, never mind avoiding the dreadnoughts, never mind the pain that he were in, what mattered was finding out what was going on. And he knew, something terrible, was going to befall, it was everywhere in his gut that screamed. Buzz walked through the smoke approaching the direction of the Evil Emperor who was was in the middle of burning down a Nask.

"Evil Emperor Zurg!"

Zurg picked up a Nask then tossed them into a burning building.

"Can you hear me?"

Zurg paid no attention, like he weren't there, like a ghost in the background, he stepped forward.

"Evil Emperor Zurg!"

He fired his optional wrist laser that was part of the suit landing a shot by the Evil Emperor who threw aside a bold Nask who had been ripped in half. Buzz stepped back, horrified, appalled, seeing his nemesis covered in the blood and remains of the Nask that had approached him for a fight. He fell back, landing to the ground, horrified, horrified, stricken with terror, as he crawled away. Darkmatter thought he were inside the ship, Buzz had made sure of that, escaping without making a sound. The Evil Emperor clenched his hand then a strike of heat flung toward his direction. Buzz was paralyzed in a moment of disgust, horror, and distraught feelings at this heinous sight that he didn't move. Suddenly, a figure popped out of no where, picked him up, then carried him out of the way in their arms. Buzz opened his eyes then looked up toward his rescuer. His rescuer set him down to the ground then turned away and back toward him, smiling, wagging their tail.

"Warp?"

The tail wagged.

"No." the wirewolf replied.

Buzz's head bobbed up.

"Ty?" Buzz asked.

He was confused.

"I. . got. . . to save . . Buzz Lightyear. . ." Came a high pitched dog-like voice from the creature, smiling, proudly, fondly, looking upon him. "Once." The creature set their hand on the Space Ranger's shoulder. "Thanks. . for. . . saving. . . me. .." The human like voice cracked. "fifty times."

The wirewolf set a claw on his shoulder.

"Go home."

"But Zurg-"

"GO!" The wirewolf smacked the 'Z' button on the suit sending him flying away.

"TTTTTTTTTYYYYYYYYYYYYY!" Buzz called as the wirewolf smiled.

"Ooooh Jaj," Zurg cooed drawing the Space Ranger's attention. "Ready to die?"

The wirewolf charged after the mad Evil Emperor. The Evil Emperor shot out rows of heat after the Space Ranger who leaped on to the nearest wall then landed behind the Evil Emperor. The wirewolf proceeded to tear him apart limb from limb. It was a gruesome task. But one that was done in mere moments without much effort. Ty withdrew then turned, spotting a familiar figure, watching him, from afar, as a dark shadow.

"Return to base, Ranger Parsec." Nebula's red eye glint in the dark as he smiled. "Mission accomplished."

The wirewolf whined, looking toward the ripped apart machine around them.

"Get to the ship, we'll be taking care of the other dreadnoughts in the mean time." Was the assurance.

The wirewolf turned on it's jet pack then flew away leaving the commander behind as a figure landed across from the commander. Buzz halted in his tracks, spotting the cape discarded on the ground then looked up toward the commander, paling. Nebula picked up the helmet, sorrowfully, then wiped off the fluid coating the optics looking down upon the optics that powered down for one last time. There was nothing in those optics. Not a shred of life or a eccentric character that he had once known a long time ago. Gone, just like Buzz Lightyear, the villain was defeated, the hero was defeated a long time ago, leaving only the survivors behind on a scorched landscape. Nebula grew angry then set the helmet on to the ground, his eye became a laser, riddling it with holes, then stomped it until it were a flat piece of scrap metal. Finally, with that done, he stood over the remains then briefly closed his eyes, he flipped open his comn, then waited a few minutes for the wirewolf before giving the command. Buzz turned away then flew off.

"Rangers. . ." Nebula began. "destroy the army."

Nebula closed his comn then watched the destruction from planet side, slowly lowering his head, all alone. Nos-4-A2 was extracted by a pair of Zurg bots fleeing for the dreadnought, the energy vampire squirming, struggling to escape, demanding for answers. Buzz floated there watching the energy vampire be taken into the dreadnought then the ship itself fly off leaving him. He watched a Star Cruiser fire back at the direction of a Dreadnought that proceeded to fire back. Within moments, the battle was raging and a Warship flew directly after the Space Ranger who watched helplessly as laser fire went back and forth leaving damaged dreadnoughts. The Warship scooped him in then flew away off in the direction that the dreadnought had gone. Buzz fell down to his knees, slumped, the other Zurg was undeniably gone, Star Command was cleaning up after him.

"Lightyear, was it worth going out?" Darkmatter asked.

Lightyear turned toward the ex-Space Ranger then opened his mouth and closed it, he couldn't put it into words, he couldn't-He knew what would happen should he die by accident. Should be comforting that the Evil Emperor would try to bring him back, but he wasn't. The Space Ranger shook his head then turned his head away lowering it, pained, closing his eyes with a sigh. The villains realizing the universe was unimpressed this way was cruel and just as undeserved as their heinous acts were. He fell over, the strain of the painful prosthetic and passed out. Darkmatter ran to his side then lifted him up to his feet as the ship trembled with the shock wave of the attack on the nearest dreadnought rippling through the warship. Darkmatter dropped the Space Ranger then made a mad dash to the bridge leaving him behind to make a urgent change in course.

Zurg stared at the black triple screen, quiet.

"And. . . that's it." Zurg said.

Slowly, he applauded in the nearly throne room.

"That was by far the most evil end." Zurg sobbed.

A lone grub, Karrol, looked toward the Evil Emperor then back toward the screen, bewildered. That was a bad ending for the Evil Emperor. And it left the throne very exposed. The grub didn't want to wonder who would replace him over there. Couldn't, wouldn't, didn't want to. But, most evil dictators weren't all that different from one another, same old activity, same old requests, and rules that had to be lived by, a relative piece of normal living on a planet that was easily conquered by many who dared by getting rid of the Evil Emperor. If the Evil Emperor was gone in this horrible fashion, the next one who could replace him might be a lot worse and it would be far more terrifying for the galaxy. And it was by far the most logical assumption it could be anyone who might be worse in that world than they were there.

Karrol pitied them.

"And that's that." Eon said as they watched the Dreadnought be destroyed by the Galactic Alliance and escape pods fled through the portal.

"So, who did win?" Era asked.

"Dk;ndkjldlkjn , d;xfljdf nflkjdn fkjlfxfb." Epoch screeched. "

"Epoch's got a point, neither side won." Eon's voice fell soft. "The only thing that did happen as a result of the chaos is . . ."

"A lot of destruction." Era said.

"There is not going to be another study quite like it." Eon noted.

"Sadly, Eon, things like this don't last long." Era assured his companion. "They're like fire, burns for so long, that nature itself puts it out one way or another."

"I find quite it a shame that we didn't get to see, uh, the fact, that, the other Darkmatter was never approached by Team Darkmatter demanding to know where he were." Eon said.

"Very upsetting situation in all." Era noted. "A Tangean putting their hand in a stranger's very startled head, searching for information, being kept out of the loop, being frightened, being terrorized, being scared of the alternate Team Darkmatter, being told as they left," Eon grew a broad grin at the thought. "the way things went. . ." Era rubbed along his chin. "Progressed what they had to."

"Not as fun though." Eon whined as he folded his arms.

"If not as fun as the way things had played out here." Era noted with a chuckle.

"Gndgk f fdj nfjbfkjn jdf."

"Correct, Epoch!" Era chimed. "In some distant universe in the multiverse. . ." Era began to reply to his colleague. "there's one where the Evil Emperor got bored of the Space Ranger after a month or two of torture, threw him back at the corner of space, waiting for him to be drifted in, instead was captured by the Nask or maybe the Votarans that are getting curious of the civilizations outside of their world, the team came through, left a whirlwind, returned home or went to Star Command for help, the other Evil Emperor Zurg appeared, returned with him, went back to the planet, went mad for some reason displaying his rage, the wirewolf saving Buzz Lightyear, Star Command being part of the conclusion for one reason or another, and consequently still died as a result of the madness."

"So everything would be the same, otherwise?" Eon asked.

"Tortured, yes." Era confirmed. "The bits between the torture and the conclusion, different." Era gestured toward the large monitor then clenched his claws. "The battle. . . all the same."

"We're never going to hear of that universe after they patch up the wound." Eon noted.

"Or see anything of it, which is for the best, as is the continuation of male and female study." Era grew a broad grin as did the other members of the group.

"A classic." Eon said as a larger pod, bigger than the escape pods, flew between the crowd of ships and flew into the portal.

The grub finished explaining to the brainpod on the screen the chain of events over the comn.

"And Warp Darkmatter?"

"Evil Emperor Zurg didn't say what to do after bringing him back."

". . . How is he?"

"He wasn't well fed."

". . . recovery wise, Karrol."

"Bouncing back better than anticipated, we're got the medical pod tending to his recovery in the B-9 Asteroid."

"Oh pheesah," Brainpod 65 shook a claw. "We got that covered!"

"All we need to do is steal the Woody Toy from Quark Lightyear then extract the back up from the toy's back and download it into the shell that'll be up and running." Brainpod 65 replied.

"What if the child doesn't have the Woody Pride toy?" Brainpod 18 asked, concerned, troubled, scared. It had been all their fault after all the Evil Emperor was essentially dead as Buzz Lightyear

"Then. . . it's game over." Brainpod 65 replied then grimaced upon his sulking companion. "No one could have known this would have happened."

"He'll be with Quark." Brainpod 42 said, confident.

"And if we can't find him?" Brainpod 13 asked.

"We'll find him, he is Woody Pride." Brainpod 65 said. "He's not a lost toy."

"And where is Nos-4-A2 and Gravitina?" Brainpod 42 asked.

"Gravitina, not sure, she was aboard one of the escape pods, and Nos-4-A2. . ." Karrol was quiet then shuddered. "Don't know, and we're keeping Darkmatter safe until it is time to release him."

"And we'll find ourselves a Evil Emperor's toy!" Brainpod 13 cried out then laughed. "All things should revert to normal."

"Or as close to normal." Brainpod 42 added.

"Don't even dare." Nos-4-A2's voice came from across the Brainpods. "There's a new dictator in town," The energy vampire began to laugh. "Father dearest is gone, time for the young to rise," the energy vampire stretched their arms out. "And perform," they smacked their claws together. "galactic domination."

Nos-4-A2 dropped the grub in their hand to the ground.

"And abandon the Space Ranger, lacking use really, he's not the kind to use to get everyone to become energy slaves. They'll let him die over their freedom."

It was quiet on the bridge of the medical pod. After all the Evil Emperor had done. Willingly. Going to his downfall. Rendering his sacrifice meaningless.

"No. . ." Karrol said, meekly.

"What did you say?" Nos-4-A2 with a glare.

All eyes were on the small grub.

"I-I-I-I-I s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-said, no." Karrol said.

Nos-4-A2 glared back at the small grub.

"Say that again."

A demand, threatening, the red optic glinting as the grub cleared her throat.

"No. . . Evil One." Karrol said, apologetically. "I don't think we will."

The triangle screen turned to black. Buzz, the red and yellow toy, listened with his back against the wall. Oh no. His features changed from horror to defiance, set alongside one of the doors, then made a bolt for it. He got here, he could get back to Nana's place and get Zurg's back up file as Nos-4-A2 dropped the lethargic grub to the ground. The brainpods looked scared, uncertain, as the small toy ran through the corridor passing by hornets that largely were not paying attention as the brainpods looked utterly terrified, clinging to one another, in front of the energy vampire. Karrol looked at the black triangle screen then turned back toward the group, in the silence, then the other members proceeded to cloud the energy signature of the medical pod.

In the bleakest of situations, unable to go home for the time being, there was enough rations for everyone aboard, everyone.

And a small chamber devoted to produce and oxygen as a precaution for a situation like this.
