Chari awoke with a sudden shout that came from Darkmatter's room. He descended down the stairs, her steps quiet, when she were on a rush, then came to a halt. She peered in to the ajar door observing Warp staring at a blue hovering screen alongside his bed that she recognized as Nana Lightyear. The older woman looked sheepish.

"Slipped my mind." Nana said as she shrugged.

"Craters!" Warp grimaced as he rubbed his eyes then had a heavy sigh. "Why did you have their birth certificates say they were born on the 20th?"

"Because that's the first day when they could be made, dear." Nana replied, calmly, kindly, yet as sorrowful, heartbroken.

"When's Chari's birthday?" Warp asked after a moment.

"August 12th." Nana replied as Warp leaned back and grew a grin.

"Oh, so she turned fifteen a few months ago!" Warp figured.

"Oort and Gamma, though, they're November babies." Nana added as Warp's brows rose. "Both born November 23rd."

"They hate November for some reason." Warp mused then laughed. "Figures why now."

"And Quark was the first one that arrived on my doorstep." Nana added.

"December 20th, the sole day to celebrate all their birthdays; neat." Warp rubbed the back of his neck as he looked up toward the ceiling.

"Good night, Warp." Nana's warm laughter echoed over the line. "I love you."

"You too." Warp said.

Chari stepped back, retreating, then sat down on to a bean bag and twiddled her thumbs then fell asleep.

Eon was in the lab at Star Command, it was a normal day since being asked by the brass of Star Command for help on a project. They called it the LY project, a strange name for a odd project that seemed to require one simple step getting from point A to Point B. Era stood in front of the machine admiring it from this perspective, Tracker and Tracked were on a different study that was profoundly unique, something of which that wasn't in his interest but something like this as simple and as defiant as it were and mysterious, it had his interest. It was meant to transport something through the multi phasic temporal barrier, roughly the height of a average Space Ranger.

Abruptly, Eon was shoved out of the way when the machine unexpectedly powered to life, and unexpectedly, the room was spinning, and a large crater remained where he had once stood.

"Eon, you're such a peon. Don't you know not to stand in the way of a tall pointed object or are you just that much of a unskilled Chlorm?"

Eon's vision was corrected as he stared at the source of the familiar voice and the familiar exasperation.

"E. . . . e. . e. . . Era?" Eon asked, floating forward, his eyes widening, reaching a claw out then hesitating, stunned. A part of him scared, the familiar face, hovering above the ground alongside, solid, glaring back at him. "Is that really you?"

"j;dlj nd;oijsj d, dlkdgrm nxksejx0iougldrlbjdlkj zzz." Epoch joined Era's side, equally as confused.

"Epoch makes an excellent point about looking like we haven't been around for ages." Era noted. "Curious... this project with Star Command in a quantum displacement gun has opened a tunnel to an unexpected world."

"Era! Epoch!" Eon hugged the figures with a twirl and a tearful laugh, stretching his arms out around their frames, causing them to go dizzy. "Oh, it's so good to see the two of you!" He stopped spinning with a teary laugh. "I miss you two so much."

"Eon, you're squeezing us!"

"Whoops!"

"How long have we been absent?" Era asked.

Eon looked toward the older Chlorm, fondly, in ways that were touched by age.

"Thirty-five years." Eon looked toward the bright blue cavern then back. "Why are they performing a project like this back at your Star Command?"

"Trying to send Buzz Lightyear back, they are desperate, Captain Darkmatter and his rookie Nelani Fisher and the old team Darkmatter are providing some company in light of Star Command being skeptical, Evil Buzz Lightyear and all."

"He's still in the Rescue Rangers?" Eon asked.

"That is not a thing." Era said.

"So he is still a Space Ranger." Eon amended.

"Indeed!" Era replied with a nod. "Warp recently returned from a five year captivity by a different Evil Emperor Zurg in a oubliette, learning to walk again, legs were atrophied but we fixed that for them, very blind. . ." Era grimaced before continuing that story. "he's not having it well with the treatments to repair his eyesight as it's a slow process, he can't see the subject Buzz, subject Warp is doubtful of whether he is real but he is . . ." he looked aside. "There for him, real or not, staying or not, they make a great team."

"They did back in the day." Eon commented.

"And this isn't. . ." Era could tell with a quick look of the room. ". . . his Star Command."

"My advice is to ask Zurg's brainpods for help, they can help with that part."

"The problem is the round device on his chest constantly changing his quantum signature." Era complained as he folded his arms. "They came to us about that," then the older Chlorm scowled as he looked aside. "We couldn't remove that, electrocuted us, badly." the older Chlorm winced over the memory. "A big problem."

Epoch nodded in agreement, remaining silent, then Era turned his gaze toward the machine.

"This needs a few modifications before being able to pull off the project, this is largely incomplete, it's more of a very cruel death ray than anything in the way that a demise is handled out." Era added, casually.

The LGM opened a door on the side of the frame then studied the frame then grimaced and approached the group. They exchanged anecdotes, design schematics, Eon listened to the words of advice shared between two parties that equally uplifted the equipment. And they were to leave, him, again. This time, they were going on to another project that required their presence. Epoch went through the tunnel then Eon began to join him but paused and turned toward the younger Chlorm.

"Fifteen years, and you look old." Era noted. "Always wondered how you might have turned out. . ." Eon grew a big dumb smile. "and now the answer is painfully in front of me."

"Good-bye, old friend." Era said. "You were the best partner that the council chose."

The darkness reflected off the side of the older Chlorm's face highlighting portions of his face.

"Farewell, my dear friend." with an equal as a fond smile then he turned away and flew on into the cavern.

The brilliant cavern entrance vanished with a brilliant flare as Eon looked on, sadly, but still wearing that smile, with a tinge of something else, closure.

Warp promptly changed into uniform after showering, taking a cup of coffee that was offered by a chore bot then went down the stairs, it was the fifteenth anniversary since the unfortunate demise of his ex-partner, but he didn't know that, he didn't pay attention to the calendar as he once had, dates were numbers, words for dates didn't matter, it felt like Monday every day. A never ending Monday compared to how he kept track of days before Freeves entered the radar of Star Command. How the hell did the admiral keep track of days and dates? It was a impressive feat for a fallen Space Ranger.

He had awakened long before the kids had, so he was able to make breakfast. Seven plates in total with different pieces of food and beverage. He picked up a padd then stared at the report handed in by Ranger Weight. He smiled cupping the side of his features observing her rather short report regarding the activities that Van Selling were doing and what the lord was planning. It was brilliant, in hindsight, being able to counter the next move and it was fun doing so. Warp was proud of his recently planted seed into Gopata Prime. He read several other reports and signed off on them sending them to the Space Ranger Report Database.

He felt a hand tap on his shoulder then he looked over.

"Dad, Quark brought over someone!"

Warp looked toward Gamma.

"Finally had your growth spurt!" Warp leaned forward with a grin. "Way to go, Gamma!"

"What growth spurt?" Gamma asked, confused, her voice had deepened, she sounded like a young version of Jon Hamm that talked like Buzz Lightyear, then her brows lifted, and she pouted. "Well craters." Warp grew a bemused expression at the teenager's misery. "I hate it."

"Who did you bring over this early in the morning, your roommate, Quark?" Warp got up from the couch then approached the crowd with a smirk that gradually began to fade as he saw the two standing in front of the doorway.

Quark had his growth spurt, he had the familiar blue messy hair, the blue eyes, the grin, the big chin, standing alongside a splitting image of Warp Darkmatter save for that he had a puffy mullet instead of a afro. Warp's feature briefly showed certain pain, the heart ache lifting up, in a pool of emotions. A different variation of Buzz and Warp standing before him with neither of them in cadet suits. Warp's eyebrows hunched down together as his mouth slightly fell open taking a step back and setting the hand with the padd to the side. No. No. No. His worst nightmare below the most awful one.

Praw wore a dark jacket with black shoulder padds that had thorns, a neck ring with thorns, arm bands with thorns, jeans with cuts on the knees, with a gray mid driff in contrast to Quark who wore a tight Disney shirt and jogger shorts. He could already imagine his ex-partner's chuckling by his side, deeply humoured, bitterly, darkly, of witnessing a what if come to life, of a nightmare witnessing in slow motion a Lightyear wooed over to the dark side. After all the years that Warp had spent trying to make sure that he grew up right and went to a different occupation, it was a bad and tasteless joke with varying degrees of realism. Warp wanted to laugh at how casual it was. Warp wore fear.

"Hi." Praw waved back at Warp then rubbed the back of his neck.

"This is my boyfriend Praw Patelblast." Quark said, squeezing Praw's free hand with a smile.

"Oh nice!" Hoichi said as Chari looked back and forth toward the two seeing the stunning resemblance as the others applauded.

"You . . ." Quark grew a broad grin. "don't have a say in this."

"Negative." Warp said as his fear vanished replaced by anger..

"No?" Praw asked.

"Negative!" Warp repeated himself.

"Why?" Quark set one hand on his hip. "Are you homophobic?"

"Date anyone," Warp gestured out the door then toward the clone. "but him."

"Why?" Quark prodded further. "Is he-like the son of a villain?"

"Definitely not." Oort said, decisively. "He would have made school be blazing about his parents."

"And be proving that he is just as evil as they are." Gamma said as she grinned.

Warp looked back and forth, pained, as Praw was quite oblivious.

"What's up with him?" Hoichi asked, brows furrowing, pointing her left thumb back at Warp.

"Haven't you told him, kid?" Warp asked, sharply, looking toward Praw.

"Told what?" it was his own voice, but he sounded Australian. "This is the first time that we've met!" Praw set his hands on his hips. "Meeting the legend who fought Zurg, sending out Raptor Chill and Milky weight to beat Lord Freeves mate, the news makes it sound incredible!"

Chari looked back and forth as a dark feeling settled in her stomach.

"What news reports?" Oort was startled.

Quark rolled his eyes at Oort's noted confusion.

". . . Praw . . is . . ." he pinched his forehead as he turned toward the duo. ". . . a clone that Zurg made," he pointed toward Praw as silence befell the room. "he's me," he turned toward Quark who bore the look of horror. "please, Quark. . ." Warp motioned toward Praw. "don't date me."

Praw's eyebrows lifted up then lowered down as his hands clenched into fists.

"We look nothing alike!" His Australian accent faded.

Ah. Gotchya. Warp had a long stare then whistled, going away, heading into the kitchen, he returned a short moment later with a big book, flipped it open, then set it on the table.

"We did." he pointed toward the picture of them in the academy. "Once."

Praw's jaw dropped as his brows raised then backed up toward the commander.

"I don't want either of you to be a thing because the last time one of us developed feelings for the other; the other sacrificed himself for the other, and the other got him killed, and you're not about to repeat history," he held up his index finger. "nah uh," he shook his head as well. "not on my watch!"

Quark stared at the image then looked back toward Praw and back toward Warp as the younger clone squinted back at the commander.

"There is no resemblance between him and you." Quark said as Warp pouted as his shoulders tensed up closing the book with a loud smack. "Besides, he's from Morph!"

Warp looked toward Praw then toward Quark then back again.

"Alright then, Quark. . ." he leaned off the table as he sucked in a breath then looked around the room before adding. "if you like him so much . . . And think he's his own person, fake ugly accent, faking that he has no memory of trying to kill me and Booster and Mira and XR with Blister, Feara, and X-Treme!"

"Blister and Feara? Never heard of them." Warp didn't believe him for a minute. "Sorry, don't."

"Pack up."

"What?"

"I said. Pack up."

"Why?"

"Why don't you move in with your boyfriend?" he waved back and forth as Quark folded his arms with a scowl and Praw's brows rose in surprise. "And better yet, live as an independent adult!"

"I am not old-"

"You've been running away from home, Quark! Failing your math classes! Your history classes! Your science classes, staying up late, not coming back for several nights, oh yes, nanny bot has told me, the principal has called Star Command regarding your truency! Nanny bot has seen your MESSY DEN that you are sharing with this guy!"

"This is my cue to-" Praw proceeded to step back, sheepishly.

"Getting into trouble late at night with that THING Zurg made!" Warp continued.

"That thing is a person!" Quark shot back.

"Get yourself killed saving that THING'S ass!" Warp fired destructive words, finely destroying the bridge between him and the teenager, leaving it in ruins, the lethal words no parent should have to say to a cloned child. "I won't grieve for you twice!"

"He's not a thing!" Quark got angry so Chari and Hoichi stopped him from lunging after Warp.

"And if all of you join the Space Ranger Corps to avenge Buzz Lightyear or punish him for making you, oh, you're not someone unique," Warp shook his head, clenching his hands. "you're just Buzz Lightyear because that's why he joined the Space Ranger Corps!" he pointed toward the album then smacked his fist on the page. "He wanted revenge!" Warp shook his head as he leaned forward as he continued to talk and waved his index finger. "That's all that you and everyone else are doing that!"

Hoichi's mouth fell taking a step back then another and another.

"You really oughtta pick your battles because picking it with Star Command will only get really bad results! Even Zurg! It NEVER ENDS WELL!"

Oort's mouth slightly fell, Gamma's brows raised up, and Chari grew only deeply concerned.

"Jevorti to Darkmatter."

"Darkmatter here."

"We got a little bit of a problem."

"Specify the kind of problem."

"Lord Freeves has used a phase ray of some kind on Star Command. Rangers Chill And Weight are too far away on a diplomatic mission to get the message."

"What's the time limit between phasing away for good to nothingness?"

"He said that we got one hour."

"One hour, that's plenty of time!" Warp grew a big smirk. "I'll get to them. Darkmatter out."

Warp closed the comn then left without as much of a good bye.

It was later in the day and Warp hung out with his old team at Cosmo's diner. It was familiar, comfy, cozy, and felt like old times whee the passage of time could not smear with change. Warp was grinning as XR and Mira were retelling about a rough ranger mission featuring a mad scientist threatening a entire city against the code laid out by the galactic alliance about such modification without consent. Booster was drinking his favorite beverage as Warp laughed. Everyone was relaxed, casual, donning their space suits enjoying some little time together.

"I can tell you this, hearing it from you is better than reading it on a report." Warp confessed with a laugh.

"It is different on file." Mira agreed with a giggle.

"How's the kids doing?" Booster asked.

"They had their growth spurt."

"Oh." Booster grimaced before adding. "They look like Buzz?" he lifted his eyebrow ridges. "Or not?"

"Negative, they look like themselves!" Warp replied with a laugh. "Sometimes, it makes it hard to remember they're not him when they're not talking," he looked aside. "just sleeping. Can't start to tell you how weird it is seeing various five Buzz Lightyear's prior to growth spurt and after growth spurt sleeping in on weekends in varying positions around the house, well, four, if including the statistic if Quark is ever there." Warp cleared his throat. "Had to do it."

"No, no, no," Mira shook her head. "you didn't tell them." she reached her hand out for him then set it on his shoulder. "Say, you didn't tell them."

"My house is full of insects, Mira." Warp said, his voice was softer. "It's better for them. . ." he lowered his gaze on to his empty plate. "what would you do? Drag them into the war preparations?"

"I would protect them and make it worse." Mira sighed, looking aside, regretting having to think about making similar choices. "black list them from the Space Ranger Corps, and alienate them. And they would become mercenarys; all of them."

"See, there is a bright side to this!" XR exclaimed, cheerfully. "They'll be busy running around and our shared enemy isn't going to touch them because you 'don't give a crater' about them."

"At what cost?" Booster asked, concerned. "Not being mourned when Lord Freeves kills him?"

"Not by them, Booster." Warp insisted, drawing their attention. "By the people who are very capable of protecting themselves."

"Us." Mira said, tearfully, smiling.

"And Star Command." XR said.

"When are the new suits going to be in circulation?" Booster asked, curious.

"UUUhhhhh, whenever Lord Freeves makes a major attack like on Sabes Ten, a Ranger Station, Morph, or any random planet, and lots of people die." Was the commander's reply. "Qe've 7, a alliance colony, it's at risk, there's chatter that he's going to target it in a few months, it has a ranger station."

"Who's assigned to it?" Mira asked.

"Sergeant Harriet Burgain." Warp looked toward them. "Is it worth ignoring those warnings and letting them die?"

"I like that gal." XR confessed. "She knows what to say to get people up."

"And there are twelve thousand colonists on that colony," Warp asked. "If we get it late, we can save roughly . . . eight thousand four hundred ninety-three people."

"What are you being told by the higher ups?" Booster asked.

"I let them target that new planet, Fregis, that has been admitted into the Galactic Alliance? It is a new member, everyone likes them, they're so young, optimistic, and bright eyed." he rubbed his chin. "The admiralty wants me to let that world be targeted and have the alliance colony be well off protected, the federation president is pressing on me to do it, and-I am not sure that'll get everyone wanting war. Right circumstance, right motivation, right tragedy, right heartache; there aren't people from the Galactic Alliance spending time there, there isn't a Space Ranger stationed there, the federation president says that the Galactic Alliance has the right to avenge a member or prevent such a loss; to protect, to defend, to ensure livelihoods."

"Both." Mira said.

"Both?" Warp asked.

"Let both of them be attacked." Mira said "It'll hurt badly on that day."

"It is fair." Booster agreed with a nod. "We do have to get our feet into it, can't keep supplying weapons, can't keep being on the sidelines cheering them on, we need to be be in it before it's too late."

Warp set his hands beneath his chin then nodded in agreement with a reluctant sigh.

"Affirmative." Warp said then lifted his gaze up. "It's the Galactic Alliance, after all, for everything that we love and hate about it, doing that, to prevent being invaded, and destroyed because we were too reluctant."

"Then it's going to be okay." Mira set a hand on his shoulder then smiled.

"When it's over," Warp said gazed then lifted his gaze up. "No one must know of this discussion, neither will they know of the discussion that the brass and I had."

The jukebox stopped playing, drawing the crowd's attention toward a irritable Lord Angstrom, who then threw the cord aside.

"Princess Mira Nova, the first born of Philip Nova, Tangea requires you." Angstrom said.

Mira's features faltered, then got up, Angstrom nodded, then she turned toward crew.

"Could you attend my coronation tonight?" Mira asked. "It'll be quick."

"Sweet venus, a coronation, on Tangea!" Booster said, gleefully. "I would be honored!"

"Oh, and my breast will be ointed in this stuff. ." Mira grimaced.

"I do not mind." Warp said.

"Neither do I!" XR said as Warp smiled, tiredly, upon XR.

"Besides, we are part of Star Command!" Booster said, then got out of his seat as did XR and Mira then hugged Mira. "We have to attend something as significant as that!"

"It'll be very stuffy, so, uh, excuse the formal wear." Mira said, laughing, as XR hugged too.

"Are you kidding?" Warp got out of his seat as he bore a smirk. "That's not stuffy, it's brilliant and stylish." he tipped his hand upside down pointing toward her as the other two let go of her. "Mira, you're going to look like a Space Ranger who's acting as a queen."

Mira hugged Warp who returned the hug then she withdrew.

"I brought the forty-two over!" Booster announced. "I will drive!"

XR, Booster, and Warp went on ahead as Mira's features became full of sorrow. Everything was changing, quickly, leaving her into the wind as she rubbed her shoulder. She was scared, heartbroken, and sad all at once. She lifted up the facade around her then walked on joining Lord Angstrom. The older Tangean caught her into his arms and let her weep, her figure trembling, sulking, against his chest, as he patted her on the back as he cried a little himself over the death of her father. The duo withdrew as he gripped the side of her shoulder then they phased through the doorway.

"Buzz Lightyear, we have the project completed."

Buzz hung up then sighed, relieved, late at night from the call by the LGM. Words that he had waited for years, it was hard to believe that he had waited five years for it, five years that were memorable in a way detoxing from the lifestyle reeking of hell and adapting to a life that was kinder and sweeter to him. These last few years, he felt guilty for enjoying what others were unable to. But in the end, this is what they could rebuild, they could regain, it was the light at the end of the tunnel. Buzz's apartment was modest at best, temporary, in the suburbs, with no belongings of his kept for long given to him by co-workers or fans of his writing. They were gifts that he sent off to the thrift shop leaving him, Woody, and the pieces of his old life laying inside his well covered up box inside the closet.

With care, the old suit was guided out of the closet then he stripped out of his civilian outfit and into the new undergarments that he had purchased last year that went beneath the uniform, then he put on the protective black layer, then the armor came on next one piece at a time, sliding them on and locking them in place, the armor felt tighter, snug, comfy, and familiar. He picked up the old cowboy from the night stand, tapped on his chassis, then chucked in the toy. How were things fairing off back there where Nos-4-A2 abducted him from? He looked out the window. He hadn't thought about them in five years, focused on the now, laying roots, resting, recovering, then he picked up his cane and walked on helping him move on and closed the door behind him. His gut instincts all screamed that the Space Ranger Corps emergency base could be gone, that there was no resistance to report to, but a part of his heart that had came back to life adamantly ignored that cynical talk.

He exited the apartment, turned on his wings, then flew on toward Star Command. It was a relatively short flight to the base then went through corridors passing by numerous Space Rangers. One by one, people who recognized his face stopped in their tracks and then their companion looked toward his direction. The sounds of footsteps echoing through the corridor came to a halt behind him as he walked on his good leg with his bad leg lagging behind him. He paused in his tracks spotting a familiar figure in a off duty Space Ranger uniform walk down the corridor with heavy tired eyes. Warp yawned, loudly.

"Commander."

"Good night, ranger."

"Commander!"

"Go home and get some sleep."

Buzz became increasingly irritated.

"Leave him alone, old timer, he's got back from a coronation." Milky Weight said from alongside him. "The commander isn't emotionally open now."

Buzz looked toward the shorter being with a glare.

"This is time sensitive, Captain." Buzz reminded as Milky Weight scowled.

"Have we met?" Milky Weight asked as the scowl eased away replaced by curiosity rubbing his chin looking toward Buzz.

"Commander!" Buzz sped after the commander with a rush as Milky Weight stared at the direction that the ex-Space Ranger had gone as Raptor Chill joined his side then exchanged a look with him. "Commander!" Buzz went fast enough that he got in the way. "Warp!"

Warp halted in his tracks then turned in the direction of the voice, sharply, his droopy eyes had widened if only briefly then glared, his gaze fixated on the long dead Space Ranger.

"Are you a Evil Lightyear?" Warp asked.

And everything was still as Warp remained at the ready to turn on his laser cannon as Buzz stared back in silence.

". . . That's really against the values of a Buzz Lightyear." Buzz shook his free hand with a smirk as he lifted a brow. "Did Nebula tell you about my problem?"

"What problem?" Warp grew very concerned.

"It's fixed, going back, and the rest is an easy going existence not going back." Buzz was so confident, happy, and smug about it; a living ghost of what had once been.

"You're going back, huh," Warp covered his heartbreak with a bittersweet smile. "unsurprising."

"Oh, by the way," Buzz set his hand on the commander's left shoulder. "you're doing a really good job fighting off Lord Freeves." he smiled back at the commander, affectionately, fondly. "See you later."

Buzz turned around then walked on leaving Warp behind in the silence as there were long stares in the direction of the long dead Space Ranger.

"T. . Thanks." Warp said, distantly.

A short moment later, Buzz arrived at the LGM lab.

"Put this on to your chest." one of the LGM instructed as Buzz looked down upon it.

"We have programmed the quantum signature of this world into it while in order to get to your world," the second LGM said.

"And focusing on your local quantum signature to open the tunnel there." The third LGM said.

"The generator over there will be what opens the gate, that machine over there, is simply the doorway." Eon elaborated a little further. "It is designed to spin, spin, and spin, gathering up enough quantum power to create a prism that will send you flying through a supposed tunnel to your universe."

Buzz looked toward the familiar scientist.

"Odd . . ." Buzz commented as he put it on his chassis. "it looks like a repurposed Zurg emblem."

"It is." The LGM confirmed, proudly.

"Apparently, they were given it by a grub who was pawning it."

"Pawning it? Zurg? Without his cape? He left without his cape?"

"Ahh firmmmative." the LGM chimed.

"What happens if I take off the chassis off?" Buzz asked.

"It'll reappear on your chassis."

"What about in the shower?" Buzz questioned.

"It'll shock you."

"And upon coming back?" Buzz prodded.

"It'll fall off and deactivate with your quantum signature being this world's signature."

"Thank you, very much." Buzz smiled, in gratitude, toward the group. "Eon, personnel."

Buzz looked on, almost reluctant, doubting his decision to go, then looked back toward the doorway and back toward the gate.

"Having second thoughts?" Eon asked.

Buzz clenched his hand gazing toward the portal.

"It's the right thing. . . ." Buzz said, walking toward it. "And that makes it the easiest thing to do."

"Starting initiation." The LGM announced then the machine powered up.

The large generator struck him then the rings of the elaborate machine began to twirl around him illuminating light as an powerful urge to say something, approached him up at random, a phrase that he hadn't said in ten years. An itch that had to be scratched.

"To infinity," Buzz cried out. "and BEYOND!"

Bright light illuminated from the large machine as Warp entered the lab.

"Buzz, how would you feel about stayi-" Warp was blinded by the quantum transportation light so he shielded his eyes while the distinctive outline of Buzz Lightyear stood out in the form of a shadow as the LGM and Eon wore protective glasses then the light faded. "Hey, who turned off the lights?"

The LGM looked away from the machine then toward the commander who had empty eye sockets.

"Here's sunglasses."

"Oh, thanks."

"You've lost your eyes."

"That's easy enough to replace."

"There's a small problem."

"You don't have eyes."

"Take apart that blasted thing and DISPOSE OF IT! Do it, NOW! It's not worth keeping!"

"Affirmative, commander."

Warp turned away with a grumble.

"Blast it."

He made his way to his vehicle at the parking space relying off memory, rolled up all the windows, then flew home. A short lived drive, the house was quiet, too quiet. The nanny bot wasn't out; he could tell because of the lack of noise from the television set playing the nanny bot's favorite streaming series. He picked up a broom then searched around the house to be double sure that they were all gone, every single one of them, he checked their rooms, to be sure all their belongings were gone.

Once certain, Warp sighed in relief then went to his bedroom, sat down, and fell over. Fifteenth anniversary, and the last thing that he saw was Buzz Lightyear's smile. The best, the last glimpse; Warp stripped out of his uniform then picked up the comn and keyed in a number.

"Hi Mel, this is Warp Darkmatter, the customer, remember those rooms you added several years ago?"

"Oh yes, very well-and Mel my employer, it's Dale." Dale, the voice on the other end said with a laugh. "The children were all over the place, XR and Booster were babysitting them during a mission."

"A very long mission, affirmative." Warp confirmed.

"How are they?" Mel asked, curious.

"They left the nest." Warp said, fondly.

"We'll be right on our way." Mel said, chuckling. Mel always chuckled. A character trait for a machine.

"And they're not mine, they are Buzz Lightyear's."

"Who's Buzz Lightyear?"

Warp had a long pause.

"He was a Space Ranger, my partner, Star Command mascot, enemy of Evil Emperor Zurg!" Warp reminded, annoyed. "He's part of history."

"You're talking about that evil fella who tricked everyone into thinking he were good." Dale said in disdain. "Rotten apple. Can't believe he had kids."

"Buh-bye." Warp said.

He set the comn to the side then took out shorts from the drawer, and put them on, moving back toward the bed, then slipped under the covers and fell asleep.

A/N *discovers You'll Always Find Your Way Back Home by Miley Cyrus* oh wow, that totally fits the mood of Buzz reuniting with Warp.

Era and epoch were always meant to appear in a scene like that, I always believed it would happen in the middle, I was wrong. Ha ha ha.
