Regem strolled down the cobblestone streets, surrounding the Town of Beginnings. He was wearing a white tunic with a dark leather vest, and lace-up boots (AN: basically like Regean in the show) and his green hair shone in the light, that perked over the buildings.
"Sword Art Online is just amazing," he mumbled to himself. "I love SAO. I love Akihiko Kayaba literally the worst game developer in the history of forever. All he talks about is his past job at a middle school as a science teacher. And, I'm talking to myself. Fun".
Regis watched as the town square became crowded with both familiar and unfamiliar faces. In the distance, he recognized the gleaming, yellow, hair of one of his fellow players. It was Leafa, a player renowned for her skills with a katana, and the flying interface, and he was determined to befriend her.
"Hey, um, Leafa, right?" he began, after rushing through the busy crowd, and tugging on her arm. The girl whipped around and for a moment her ponytail floated in the wind, graciously.
"Huh?" she responded. "Oh yeah, thats' me".
Reggie looked up, and gave a goofy smile, "Hey, I'm Ronald. I just recognized you, and thought I'd introduce myself. You're Kirito's sister, right? He's in my grade".
"What a surprise, another girl who knows Kirito" Leafa thought to herself, imagining her the image of her famous brother. "Yes I am...". (AN: of corse she knows kirito! Who doesn't no my husbando 3 kiritoe best boy for laifu!1 step off leafa D:)
The two stood in silence for a moment, then Regis proceeded. "Anyways," he continued. "I think I have a guild meeting with you, so I guess I'll walk with you?"
"Uhh sure," I said hesitantly. I was pretty popular in SAO, so I didn't want to be rude. "I just have to stop by the tavern and meet Kirito for a sec if you don't mind".
Leafa and Reginald started walking in the direction of a nearby tavern. She walked ahead of him a bit, and he skipped behind her jovially.
"Not a problem" he beamed. "Just so you know, I don't actually know youre brother. I just know of him. He's pretty 'popular', I guess. A bit of an idiot sometimes, too, I guess".
"Can't compain with you there," she replied. "He focuses more on sports than school so you'd expect it".
The two players came upon the tavern and opened the door. They sat at an empty booth and ordered drinks, while waiting for Leaf's brother.
"He does try his best though" I said. My brother might have been stupid but he was a big deal, around these parts. I planned to surpass him eventually, but I needed to hone in on learning more sword skills before I could match his expert fighting style.
"Yeah, I've had parties with him. I mean, I know some friends because they're my friends, but I never made an effort to befriend him. He seems pretty wrapped up in… football? That's what he plays, right? I don't really keep up with sports. I prefer video games".
Leafa took a sip from her drink and rolled her eyes. "Everyone here likes video games," she mumbled to herself. The poor kid seemed too giddy, to notice her comment. That aside he was right. Kirito had made himself big because of his aggressive floor-clearing but also because of his success on the SAO recreational football team.
"He's the captain of course..." I said. "That's his life and plans to go to college for it. I do enjoy playing soccer but i'd prefer to read or be at the animal shelter…"
Eventually, they saw him enter the restaurant and look around for their table. Regem excitedly waved, practically falling out of his seat. As Kirito walked closer, they noticed that he had his arm draped around his girlfriend Asuna. Upon her entrance, Leada cleared her throat.
"Hey sis! What's up?" Kirito excpelled. "You remember Asuna right?" Asuna waved, prompting Leafa to roll her eyes in disgust.
"Did you complete your book report?" Leafa questioned questioningly. SHe quirked an eyebrow at her idiot brother. Before I was excited to see him but now that Asuna was here, it was a different story.
"Yes... we went over it… right?" A look of panic filled the boy's face as he sat down in the booth with them. Asuna followed.
"Yes Kirito… Oh I forgot… This is Reggae" Leafa retorted.
"Hey dude," the green haired player began. He had popped his feet up under the table and laid back in an attempt to incense his cool-factor. "Asuna has almost definitely bumped me 'by accident' in the hallway before" he thought to himself, looking over at Kirito's adoring girlfriend. A tingle of jealousy rolled over him.
"Sup," Kirito replied. "You're in my guild right?"
"Last year, I think. This year I think all of us might have classes together". Reggis finished his drink and stared at Krito intensly. Asuna moved closer to Kirito and then stood from the booth.
"Well Kiri, I gave to get to a meeting, but I'll see you later right?" she asked with puppy dog eyes.
Of course said Kirito.
As she started to leave, Kirito puckered her lips and smiled. Asuna turned around and glared at Leaga and Raphael.
"Have a nice day girls!" she exclaimed. She then walked away, joining two other girls who were waiting near the tavern's entrance.
"Yep" Reggy sighed. "She's the one who shoved me in a locker freshman year". Kirito looked at him in confusion and the three sat in silence for a second. Kirito sighed.
"Isn't she the best?" Kirito swooned. Leafa scoffed and then addresses her brother in a mocking tone.
"Ok Kiri," Leafa spat. "You should get to your guild. I'll catch you later"
The two fist bumped and Leafa preceded to walk away with Regis towards the White Knights Guidl. Since, I was one of the top players in the game, they had asked me to help with the next floor's clearing. (AN: GUyz look its fenimisn! see leafa doesn't let boyz win!1)
"I already hate her..." Leafs said, turning to Regum, as they walked out of the tavern. Ugh don't even get me startled. They've been dating since they were sophmores and she's been like this since then"
"Yeah, I'm aware," Rophilio shuttered thinking about how many times Asuna had tripped him in the past. He stillhad bruises. "She's said her share of choice words to me"
"What the hell does Kirito even see in her?" Leafa yelled angrily, throwing her hands to the sky. "Jesus Christ, Honestly she's such a jerk".
Leafa angrily stormed into a guild, then realized it was filled with glossy-eyed feeshmen, and walked out. (AN: see shes nit prefect she can b forgetful sometimes xD)
"Good job," Rotillini said, face palming. He shook his head at her, she was such a baka sometimes (AN: cred 2 CielKirigaya540 for helpin me w/ the japanes! =^u^=) . "Anyways, what he sees i her is: a pretty, popular, and sweet girl. Of course she acts all cutesy around him, or else he would see her jerkiness and they'd be over in a second. My question is how does he not see through her facade? It's all so fake"
"It's Kirito we're talking about.." Leafa sighed. They then walked into the correct guild, and Leafa took a seat next to Regil. He turned towards her and whispered as the room began to fill with the best players in the game. Leafa looked around and recognized most of the faces, she had played with many of them before… and considered them friends.
"I mean he's pretty much an idiot, all the time, but is he really that oblivious? I don't really know him so I can't vouch for him" he said. Just then… the meeting started and Heathcliff walked up to the center of the floor. He had slicked back brown hair that was half in a ponytail and half out, and his red and white armor was shiny and reflected under the sunlight coming from the sunroof. He looked out at the crowd of players, and had a smug look on his pale wrinkled face.
"Hey Guild!" he began. His thunderous voice filled the echoing room. "So this, uh, this is the White Knights Guild! Bonjour? Yeah! You're first mission doubles as yoru homeroom so like just sit around until after announcements I guess".
"Look, Kirito… may not get the best grades, but he's not an idiot. I ust don't understand, how they even got together in the first place" I said.
"It's probably her boobs or something, I dunno" Regene whimpered. "Sorry if I offended you calling your bro an , I don't know him".
Hey don't worry, I do it all the time. I'm gonna see if I can talk to him about it. They sat in their chairs for a few more instances of silence and pondered the mystery that was Kirito's relationship with Asuna. Heathcliff had already left the stand and all the other players were milling around during the homeroom time. The gaem master hadn't made the announcements yet but they were fairly queit and I could hear Reghan very well because of that.
"I'm gonna warn you that he might get pissed ar you and not listen" he said with a worried expression. "He's in the mentally that everything's perfect about this girl and nothing can be bad about her. That's what happened when you date people, you're blinded by love. If you'd call in-game dating 'Love"".
"Hey's my brother why" I responded. Kirito might not get the best grades but he's not an idiot I just don't understand, how they even got together in the first place.
"Siblings get mad at eachother sometimes. I'm just trying to be helpful, okay?" Regional replied helpfully.
"Okay" I said defeatedly.
As Heathcliff had disappeared, Alfheim took the stage. He had a long green robe and yellow locks that shape his face in a menacing way. On his head was a crown that showed that he was the King of the White Knights guild (AN: bc heathcliff stepped out so he has the throne now). Unlike Heatcliff, he didn't wear red and white armor so he clashed with the color sceme of the building, There was something about his face that made Leafa uneasy.
"It looks like your guild leader had to step out for a bit" Alfheim said, ajusting his crown. "So I'll be filling in for the next half hour or so unitil he comes back".
Albridge proceeded to prop his feet up on the podium, revealing tasteful red stilettos that contorted his foot in a way that seemed inhuman. But, it was a game anyway.
"As you should all know," he said menacingly. "I am KING Alfhiem, the leader of this guild. What are we supposed to be doing today?"
The student council President, Kibaou, who had slipped through the door a few seconds earlier raised his hand politely.
"It's the first day, so… we wouldn't know" Kibaou giggled. "I would think that as the leader in the room it would be your responsibility to have a lesson plan".
King Alfhiem glared at the girl and then let the room rest in silence for a few seconds. "Anyone else then? Otherwise, I'll just have you all inform me of the current hot gossip that I might be missing cooped up in my office all day. I mean, have you seen the new secretary? What a skank. Parading around with a dress that short? Have a little dignity would ya'?"
"Um…" Leafa injected. "Do you have any idea what we should be doing? Or are we gonna listen to you trash talk players?"
Alfrhiem waved a pointed finger at Leada. "Look, I'll let you have a free block since it's the first day anyway".
I stood from my seat. "May I at least go outside?" I queried mentioning out to the window. It was a beautiful day out and Leafa hadn't been outside in so long. I was too busy fighting monsters, and clearing floors. Such is the curse of an all-star player in a game like this.
"Fine" the King said. He lowered his eyebrows in annoyance. "Just don't smoke on the playground or whatever"
"Wasn't planing on it…" Leafa remarked. "Maybe you should take a break from drugs!"
She walked outside, and sat under a tree. Leafa pulled out a sketchbook and started sketching. Suddenly a mysterious figure slowly approached her. The sound of a horses hooves filed her eyes and struck fear in the hearts of all who heard them. It was...
"It was me!" Cried Raven Skull, the infamous leader of the dark guild. He was the leader of a dark guild. He had spotted a potential victim until a tree and approached her enthusiastically. Little did he know, I was one of the top players in the game and I already had my katana drawn and ready for a fight to the death.
"Yo... wanna buy some sword skills?" he said, his shadowy figure slithering towards her. Each one of his steps echoed against the cobblestone road and Leafa wrapped her hand tighter around the handel of her sword. He opened up his long, black, trench coat to reveal a row of sparkling drugs, the most mysterious and lucrative in the game. Such a collection was almost tearfully inspiration. Leafa looked up and then ignored him, continuing her drawing.
Just then, Klein walked by, and sat down at a table near her. He watched their exchange with interest but failed to cover up the fact that he watched. Meanwhile, Kirito looked outside the window of his guild and saw Leafa with Raven Skull and Klein nearby. He immidiately left the room and jogged over to them. He got there pretty fast because he was an indurance runner and got fast because of football. (AN: isn't he soooo hawt xD thatz my sempai =^u^= 4 yuo~~~~~~~~)
"What's going on?" Kirito asked.
"Kirito," Klein sang with anger. "Fancy seeing you here- and not with your football friends". Klein crossed his arms, leaning them on the table in front of him.
Kirito rolled his eyes. "Leafa, I don't want you near him okay?"
Raven Skull turned to Kirito, the prospect of another human connection was riveting. He opened his trench coat, with gladness.
"Wanna buy some sword skills?" Raven Skull giggled. Kirito glanced at Raven Skull, who humbly displayed his drug collection to the disoriented boy.
"Uh' no. Please, just let me handle this? I'll talk to you at home, okay?"
"Alright fine," Leafa slammed her book closed and put it in her bag aggressively. "I'm leaving. Shouldn't you be at the guild?" He hugged Leafa tightly and then released her.
"Alright… I'll got to some other tree then…"
