Having heard all these stories, these legends, told by the man I came across and a few others on the internet, I deeply regret not being able to visit Gravesfield myself during that trip.
I couldn't, I didn't have time.
It's been a couple of years since that, and I'm finally planning a trip back to Connecticut. I am determined to get to know the mysterious town first hand, soak up its history, ask for more incredible anecdotes, and if I can, interview those involved in the most famous experiences told here.
Who knows, maybe I'll be lucky enough to meet the famous Marilyn in person; though if she's as described, I doubt to be able to ask her some questions. I'll try anyway.
Is Gravesfield really cursed?
Was there a witch 400 years ago who kidnapped the two youngest brothers of the Wittebane family?
Is there a real Demon lurking deep in the woods?
The truth may be one or the other, or perhaps what we would never have imagined. Perhaps crazy people inventing ghosts, or innocent townspeople witnessing the unexplained.
My conclusion?
In short, the town has something strange. Such an impressive number of anecdotes and stories coming from one place is not normal; as if there were a source, a magnet that has attracted all these unknown phenomena.
The Witch of Gravesfield?
I'd like to find out.
As for you, this has been all from my side. For now.
Like I said, I know a lot of stories. If these have been to your liking, let me know and I can gladly tell you more on another occasion.
Gravesfield still keeps other very interesting myths. Like the poltergeist activity at the police station, or the rare incident at a summer camp where some witnesses reported seeing a huge lizard.
And why couldn't we go somewhere else? There are so many strange places that have their own stories to tell.
Another town in Oregon full of inexplicable and even more bizarre incidents.
The disappearance of three preteens in Los Angeles and a huge electromagnetic phenomenon that left several devices unusable for days.
Various reports around the world about doors that lead to other worlds.
These stories are real or not? I don't know, I'm just the narrator of the impossible, what happens behind the window towards that other side that makes us dream.
Now it's your turn, now you will be the storytellers who will share the torch, to make the mystery more than mere words… a memory… that will not be forgotten.
Let your imagination fly, because fiction and reality come together in these…
