Skit: Basically how trying to stay neutral is.
Frederica had been sent on a very important mission. She was in the capital, accommodating some of Roswaal's business partners at a high-class inn. Her orders were to treat them with the utmost respect and hospitality. Garfiel was acting as the bodyguard, but she had sent him off to buy foodstuffs for the banquet.
But off in the distance, someone was yelling.
[?]: "No, you're wrong. You're wrong!"
Was that Garfiel? Screaming?
She stopped in her tracks and brought her attention over to the commotion. This wouldn't be a good look for Roswaal's staff if her brother was throwing a tantrum. Luckily, all of the important guests were away at the moment.
[Garfiel]: "Nah, i's cause yer wrong! I'll go ask Sis. Right now."
Why now of all times, and who was he talking to? Hadn't she told him enough times to keep his voice down.
[Garfiel]: "I'll go an' ask her!"
Bursting through the lobby of the inn, the sharp-toothed boy sniffed out his sister and followed the trail to her whereabouts.
[Garfiel]: "Oi, Sis. Don't ya think that ev'rybody should get at least an hour of exercise a day?"
Setting down three bags of groceries, her demi-human brother yelled his question over.
All of that shouting for such a simple dispute. She sighed.
[Frederica]: "How many times have I told you to not shout like that? But yes, I suppose an hour a day would be more healthy."
Barking back into the communication mirror, Garfiel makes the verdict known.
[Garf]: "See, she agrees! She agrees that yer parents 're a waste of fuckin' space! And yer sensei is stupid!"
No, no, no!
[Frederica]: "HEY! No! What are you saying?!" Such profanity; she had definitely taught her brother better manners than this.
The lobby receptionist took her attention away from her book. She was always interested in gossip and she just found a gold mine.
Frederica was still in panic mode.
[Garf]: "Ya don't deserve ta be on this planet, damn clown!"
Clown?
Wait a second. Was he talking to Roswaal?!
No! If it was Ram, who was equally as scary when she was angry honestly, at least she could've done damage control, but she wasn't prepared for this.
[Roswaal]: "Ooooohh, so you agree with this [redaaaaaaccctteddd], my parents are useless Frederica-saaaaan? And you dare insult my sensei?"
On the other side of the communication mirror was Roswaal L. Mathers himself, and he did not look happy.
Roswaal's eyebrows were arched downwards. His expression was one that held no room for negotiations, and the makeup somehow made him look scarier.
This was the most furious she had ever seen him. It was terrifying!
Damage control! She needed to do damage control!
[Frederica]: "What, no! I didn't say that! A-And I'm sure Garfiel didn't mean that either." She pleaded their case.
[Garfiel]: "Garbage!"
Garfiel was not helping.
[Roswaal]: "My parents are uuuuuseless huh? No, Frederica-san. You're trash."
Roswaal thought back to how he failed to accomplish his plan back at the Sanctuary, but just because one plan failed this brat decided she could disrespect him and his 400 year-long goal? Well, no more!
[Frederica]: "No, Roswaal-sama! I didn't say that!"
[Roswaal]: "I expeeeected that from this [redacted], but not you. After we took caaaaaare of you for years, don't ever come back."
[Garf]: "She don't care if she's not invited to yer dirty mansions no more! With yer useless parents! Yer like a scallop atta garden overpass right before the mornin' sun!"
Frederica gasped and quickly put a hand over her mouth. Not that proverb! Even the receptionist was stunned that he would say something so abhorrently offensive, to a superior no less.
That was the final nail in the coffin for Roswaal.
[Roswaal]: "Don't come back! I will deliver you your stuff. Don't you ever come back, Frederica Baumann."
She didn't say anything! Why was she being punished?!
[Garfiel]: "Worthless!"
[Frederica]: "No. I-I like your parents. Don't do this!"
[Roswaal]: "I expected more from you–"
[Garfiel]: "Trash! TRASH!"
Without a second thought, Garfiel snapped the magic mirror shut.
[Frederica]: "Wait!"
[Garfiel]: "I hung up on 'em."
He stormed off with the groceries.
[Frederica]: "W-What? Where do I sleep now?"
She nearly collapsed on the floor. In less than five minutes, she was out of a job and a home.
[Frederica]: "Garf, why?"
[Garfiel]: "Fuck his parents!" he said from afar.
The receptionist was awestruck. Boy, did she have a story to tell.
