Short two: Chase and Marshall's Obstacle Course

Chase and Marshall had just finished making their own obstacle course in the Paw Patrol yard. They made sure everything was low to the ground so Marshall would be able to go through with it perfectly fine. As they looked at the obstacle course, it was shown to involve swing tires, a wall climbing segment, and a slide down said climbing segment. The last obstacle involved the two of them climbing on some kind of monkey bar setup that led to the finish line. It was short, but this would be a good way to test Chase and Marshall's mobility and stamina; even though it was just for fun.

Chase and Marshall got at the starting line with the two best friends looking at each other as Marshall spoke up with a smile. "If I win, you teach Flare how to drive your car."

"Sounds good." Chase didn't think that was too dangerous of a bet. After all, he was able to drive it since he was Flare's age. He then smirked as he made his deal for winning. "And if I win, you fly as a passanger in Skye's helicopter."

Marshall gulped in regards to that bet, but he nodded his head yes with a nervous smile in response. A bet was a bet, and it had to be even for whichever one of the two won. With that, the three started counting down from three. "Three; two; one; go!" And as the two took off, they started with the swinging tires, running up the wooden ramp that led to them. Chase, being a German Shepherd, was naturally faster than Marshall, and got to the swing relatively quickly. Once he got there, he successfully swung over to the other one, which was about three feet away.

Marshall then arrived at the tire swings with Chase taking the slide down from the first obstacle and climbing up the rock climbing part as soon as he got there. Marshall managed to get over there, but barely caught onto the other side, climbing up and sliding down to follow behind Chase. By the time he got to the rock climbing part, Chase started sliding down to the next obstacle. Marshall also struggled a bit with this one, seeing as his clumsiness got in the way of some of his movements, almost making him fall at a couple parts.

Chase then got to the monkey bar setup, managing to cross with on point movement while skidding on the ground a bit as he landed. He then ran for the end while taking out a mini mirror and checking his gorgeous face out in it, which Marshall while smirking rolled his eyes at as he noticed halfway through the monkey bar segment. Chase then got to the end, smacking the symbol that had his police pup tag as a marker. "Oh yeah; that's how we knew it was gonna go down."

Marshall hit the symbol with his fire pup tag as a marker soon after Chase did, walking over to Chase as he caught his breath. "Wow Chase. You have great stamina."

Chase checked himself out a little longer and wiped his chest with his paw after putting his mirror away to speak to him directly. "That's something ya gotta have for rescues Marshall. Just watch. Overtime, your stamina will get better, as well as everything else." Marshall smiled in response. He was glad to have Chase supporting him from the start.

Flare then exited the lookout with a bright smile on his face as he called to Marshall to let him know he was free to play. "Marshall; I finished my afternoon mobility training!" Flare then got a look at the obstacle course and loved the sight of it. Chase and Marshall were glad to take notice to this as they ran over to him. "Wow! (Looks at Chase and Marshall) Did you guys make this!?"

"You bet we did. Well, mostly me. At least ninety percent me." Chase boasted proudly, leaving Marshall to roll his eyes while smiling again as Chase then gave Flare the go ahead to play on it. "Knock yourself out Flare. Marshall and I already finished our test run through it."

"Awesome! Thanks!" Flare hi fived Chase and Marshall before running over to the obstacle course and as he got there, the two took notice to how he was doing a better than Marshall, but not as good as Chase.

Chase decided to check in on Marshall to see how he felt about this, not wanting him to doubt himself too much. "Be honest Marshall. Does it ever bother you whenever Flare does something better than you?"

"Of course not." Marshall answered proudly. He cared way more about Flare than doing anything better than him. "All I really care about most with Flare is making sure he's safe and also having a great time living life to the fullest. And as long as he's happy, I'm happy."

Chase smiled upon hearing those words. He always liked seeing his friends putting others first. However, he kinda envied Flare and Marshall for their brotherly bond. "To be honest Marshall, I can kinda get behind that. I only wish I had a brother to have something like that with." Marshall smiled and put a paw on Chase's shoulder, which made Chase smile back. The two may not be blood related, but it was clear that in the short time Marshall had been on the team, if Chase saw anyone as his brother out of the Paw Patrol, it was him. There was no doubt about that.
