Paw Patrol Xtra Shorts

Short eight: Prepping for a Canine Christmas

Flare and Snow were playing outside in the snow very early on Christmas Eve morning. The two of them had made their own sled with Flare being more than excited to go down a hill on it. Snow was a little concerned though, as the sled was rickety and not the best made. "You sure about this Flare? I prefer not covering my butt with splinters."

"Then sit on your knees." Flare suggested, and when he and Snow got on the sled, he nodded to her, and she kicked them off down the hill. The two of them went down at high speeds and screamed happily as they went down. As they did, they went straight for the lookout and cheered before Snow took notice. She signaled Flare, who skidded to a stop with his hind paw, and the two stopped right in front of the Lookout door. It then opened automatically with Marshall and Everest grinning slyly at their cheeky looking siblings. "Merry almost Christmas!"

The sled then collapsed then and there, leading to the four pups laughing as Flare and Snow went inside to have breakfast. Marshall and Everest went into the living room to see if their bet was still in effect. Both were clearly excited to put it into action too with Marshall speaking up about it. "You still up for Twelve Puns of Christmas Everest? If so, don't forget what you have to do if you lose."

"Oh, I know Marshall." Everest assured Marshall, being excited to see if he could actually pull this off. "And to spice it up a little, let's say that next year, I'M the one doing the puns." Marshall was totally on board with that, and he and Everest shook paws to announce their bet official.

Flare got started on breakfast with Snow getting a soda as Chase and Skye came into the kitchen while flirting. Chase in particular was feeling a little saucy, and it was easy to see why with what he and Skye were saying. "I can already guess what you got me Skye. And not just because the Christmas gift you got me is really small compared to what I got you."

Skye giggled a bit, glad that Chase wasn't the type to consider the size of a gift more important than the gift itself. "It's more or less a gift for both of us. Trust me Chase. It'll make us feel at home every, single, night."

Chase and Skye couldn't help but feel saucier with their flirting as Flare and Snow gagged before the latter pointed it out. "Okay, we're all glad you two finally became a couple last month, but do you have to have this kind of talk in front of us while Flare's cooking?"

Chase and Skye noticed Flare cooking with Chase being one to point out what Snow was saying. "Yeah, good call Snow. Sex being on Flare's mind while he's cooking is the last thing anyone wants."

Chase went to the fridge to get something to drink after kissing Skye on the cheek, and Skye went over to Flare to help him with the meal. "Maybe we can tag team on this one Flare. I don't think there have been a lot of instances where we've actually cooked together."

Flare felt it wouldn't hurt, and as he gave Skye the stuff she could prepare, he took a jab at what happened during Chase's birthday party preparations. "The more the merrier! (Gives a sly grin) Just try not to fart around the food this time." Skye blushed and giggled nervously upon mention of that expulsion with Chase laughing softly and Snow rolling her eyes at the jab. She then got started on the breakfast burritos with Flare making sure the chocolate chip pancakes were just right for breakfast.

Rocky was working on something in the garage, and it was revealed to be a pirate sized bed with Zuma's initials, Z.A.T, on it. He looked rather cheerful when making it too, and it was shown to have a button on the front, which Rocky must've put on there for a special reason. The ship was even orange, just like Zuma's suit pup suit, and the pirate flag even said 'You are a piwate!' as a reference to Zuma's speech impediment. Rocky then heard the garage door open and pressed the button on the ship. This caused it to turn into a cube that was small enough for him to hold. Impressive, right?

Rocky turned around and saw Zuma, who was in a rather lackluster mood; not just because he woke up super early, but also because of his feelings around the holidays. He wasn't a grinch or anything, but he found it hard to enjoy this time of year thanks to the day that led to him meeting the Paw Patrol to begin with. "Mowning Wocky." Zuma rubbed his eyes as he saw Rocky put something in his pocket and became curious as to what it was. "You doing okay today? Waking up so early is so not my thing."

"Yeah; I know, right? Can't heroes sleep in if they want to?" Rocky asked in a panic, and then he noticed Zuma looking behind him and blushed a bit as he covered it up. "I'm not hiding anything! I'm just excited for Christmas is all! It's gonna be great to spend it with all of you!"

Zuma raised an eyebrow in response to that. He could get behind it, but he felt something else was up. He then smirked as he pointed out Rocky's gay panic, despite not knowing that Rocky liked him back; at least not yet. The last thing he wanted was to ruin Rocky's Christmas spirit. "Whatevew you say dude."
