Short nine: Cheeky Charm
Charm was walking down the hallway to the main room of his base as Trickery explained to him how prepared they were for attack. "The planning for the attack of Barkingburg is going quite well my lord. Everyone's following the coordinates properly and everything you studied is being put to good use."
"Oh, how brilliant." Charm responded, delighted that his plan was all going according to his hopes. "I just hope father's watching from hell so he can realize just how much better I'm doing without him pretending to want to hold back." Charm and Trickery then passed by a soldier who was dozing while leaning on the wall, and Charm pointed his butt out while still walking and...
PFFFFFT
...released a three second fart of spoiled meat with a green cloud into the guard's face, making him wake up and start gagging as Charm snickered at his little prank. Trickery couldn't help but comment on how Charm still had his childlike tendencies despite his nature. "You're still a child at the end of the day Charm. It seems even your father couldn't take that away." Trickery then flinched as he realized what he might've just revealed.
Charm did seem a little confused by that, but he brushed it off to focus on preparing for the attack, much to Trickery's relief. "That's most likely irrelevant for now. We have bigger priorities."
Once Charm and Trickery entered the main room of Charm's base, he looked more than pleased by what he saw. Everyone was on point, and the attack was almost ready to commence. A picture of Claw was also shown as the computer showed him saving a child's life. "Just stay calm kid. I've got your back."
Charm was definitely intrigued by what he saw. Claw was clearly level headed enough to handle dangerous situations. "And the King and Queen hate Claw for being a bad knight? Ha! Who would be dense enough to consider him that after a rescue like the one he made there?" Charm then saw a red nose pit bull and a blue nose pit bull, making him delighted as he walked up to them. "Perfect!" Charm addressed the red nose pit bull first, making sure to have his butt aimed at the blue nose as he held his paw up. "Pull or you die." The red nose instantly obliged, pulling his paw with Charm's butt shown as...
BRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAT
...a five second fart made his butt vibrate and hit the red nose with another spoiled meat scented fart with a green cloud. The red nose pit bull started gagging and wafting the fart away with the blue nose laughing at the sight of it. Charm then saw something on the ground and picked it up with a smug grin, bending over to where his butt was pointed right at the blue nose pit bull's face. "I may need this screw." And as Charm grabbed the screw...
PHHHHHHHHHHT
...he released another five second fart into the blue pit bull's face, letting out a moldy cheese scented green cloud that made him start gagging as well. Charm couldn't help but laugh in delight as he walked over to the master control panel with Trickery offering him some spray on deodorant in case the fart odor followed him. "Thank you Trickery."
Charm sprayed the deodorant on himself as Trickery then suggested that they get back on topic. "Perhaps we should focus on the mission for now Charm. No one will take the attack seriously if you don't."
"I know." Charm admitted, laughing a bit as he pointed something else out to Trickery. "Even evil sadists can have childish fun though." Charm then got to work, pulling up the coordinates on the castle of Barkingburg. It was quite the castle indeed, holding at least fifty rooms, and only twenty of them were bedrooms. "Haha! Even with three fifths of the castle not being bedrooms, you could make a hotel out of this castle if you wanted."
As Charm was looking at the Barkingburg castle, he couldn't stop thinking about what Trickery said regarding his father. Trickery could tell he was conflicted and showed genuine concern when he spoke up about it. "Is something wrong Charm?"
Charm decided not to talk about it however. He knew what the top priority was. If it was still on his mind after the fact, he would speak to Trickery about it after. "Nothing important enough to stall the attack over. We can discuss it after." Trickery nodded in response as Charm then caught sight of the roof, where he knew Claw spent his alone time up there. "That seems like the perfect place to confront him. The one place we know he won't be disturbed by anyone else."
Trickery observed Claw closely and saw that from some of his photos, he seemed to have a bad temper. "Quite the hot head if I do say so myself. You'd best pick your words carefully my lord."
"Oh, I will." Charm assured Trickery, and then he pulled up some files on Sweetie, feeling that having some knowledge on who Claw as close with would also help. It was revealed that Sweetie, despite having a bit of a snobbish attitude, did get along well with Claw. "Seems there's more to the West Highland White Terrier than being a royal brit." Charm couldn't wait to use that one against Claw. The very thought of how easy it would make his mission was a little disappointing however. "Just a shame it couldn't be a little more challenging to persuade him.
"If you were to prank him like you did your new henchmen, it just might be." Trickery playfully teased, and Charm couldn't help but cackle at Trickery's jab towards his habit of doing fart pranks.
