The Red Wizard
By SilverHoodedKitsune
Hey everyone! This story got a lot of attention right away. That's awesome! I appreciate it everyone.
This is obviously a Harry Potter and Highschool DxD Crossover story. I do not own the rights to Harry Potter nor Highschool DxD. I'm just having some fun playing in the Wizarding World and the DxD World. Please support creators by purchasing their work. Also, everyone depicted is of age. Cheers.
Also I started an account on AO3 with the same Username and Story titles. Just in case this ends up getting deleted for whatever reason.
Warning: This story involves violence, mentions of darker themes and unconventional relationships yet is consensual on those involved. The story will also have dark and juvenile humour. I decided to add a warning after seeing a few stories with them lately.
I am going to answer a couple of reviews and PMs right now in a general form. Harry will NOT be staying human. He will be a devil. He is slightly overpowered as well as attractive to everyone for a few reasons which will be answered later in the story. For those of you that don't like this then I wish you luck in finding a story more to your liking. As for the rest that chose to stick around, enjoy the new chapter!
The Red Wizard
Chapter II: Offers
A week later Harry was back at school. He had a cast on his right arm and bandages all over himself. The girls in the school grounds cried out as their number one (or number two, damn Kiba) crush was injured.
Harry sat heavily at his desk in English class. Rias and Akeno were already seated.
"What happened, Harry-san?" Rias asked.
"Are you ok?" Akeno also asked.
"Fine." Harry said. "Got into an accident while away with my uncle. A drunk driver hit our car."
"Are you sure you should be at school?" Rias asked in concern.
"Yeah, I'll be fine." Harry gave them a weak smile. "I'm only a little sore."
Both girls still looked unconvinced, yet they didn't press the matter.
"Harry-san?" Rias asked.
"Yeah?"
"About last week…" The girl's face was starting to match her hair colour.
"Yes?"
"Would you be ok speaking with us after school?" She said slowly.
"Sure."
"Really!" Rias perked up. "Fantastic. Yes fantastic."
The day progressed as the rumour mill was acting up. He had finished his last class of the day.
"Potter-san?"
Harry turned to find Souna and Tsubaki calling him.
"Hi." Harry said as he grimaced a bit.
"Are you sure you should be here?" Souna asked bluntly.
"I'm fine." Harry said then smiled. "I don't want my grades to slip."
Souna's face blushed then she had a guilty look flicker across her face. "I'm sure that the school would be fine if you took some more time off."
Harry waved her off. "I'd go nuts with nothing to do at home."
"Are you sure, Harry-sama?" Tsubaki asked.
Both Sona and Harry turned to her with a raised eyebrow. "Sama?" Harry muttered.
Tsubaki was lit red. "I-I-I-"
"I think Tsubaki had a slip of the tongue." Souna said. Harry shrugged.
"I'm fine. Really."
Both girls stared at him then finally relented.
Souna spoke up again. "About what we talked about before you left…"
"The opportunity?" Harry asked.
"Yes. Are you willing to have a meeting about it?"
"Not today unfortunately." Harry said. "What about tomorrow?"
Souna nodded. "Yes. Tomorrow will do nicely. Meet us at the student council office after school?"
"Alright. I'll see you then." Harry proceeded to kiss the girls' hands. He had a slight hiccup with his injuries but still completed it before walking away.
"I'll guess we will see him tomorrow. Won't we Tsubaki?" Sona said in a teasing voice.
The taller girl just blushed.

Harry stood outside the Old School Building as Akeno waved him over.
"Sorry I'm late." Harry said.
"Nonsense sweetie." Akeno said. "You're right on time."
The gorgeous Japanese girl led Harry into the school building. They went up to the second floor and all the way down the hall. Harry could feel wards around the whole building. They were powerful but he had been trained by the best. Master Tanaka and Master Kuro could easily break the wards. And if they could then so could Harry. They stopped outside a pair of double doors. Harry read the sign. Occult Research Club. The inside of the O was a ritual circle that Harry was familiar with.
Odd. He thought.
Akeno knocked and a quiet, "Enter" followed. Akeno pulled open the door. Harry saw inside the room for the first time. The room itself was huge. Probably an old classroom or lecture hall. Harry quickly scanned the room. Many tapestries and posters as well as paintings hung around the room. Mostly of occult things and some old horror movies from the golden age of Hollywood. The rest of the room had a few couches and a coffee table. A large oak desk sat at the opposite end of the room where Rias was currently seated. She was smiling as he looked around the room in interest. Harry knew that all of the stuff on the walls were fake. Almost as if for show. The one thing that wasn't was the massive ritual circle on the floor. Harry saw it and he could feel the magical energy laying dormant within. He was slightly nervous. If he stepped on it, he had a feeling his body's magic would naturally react. So instead he walked over to the wall and examined the items on the wall and easily avoided the floor and just pretended to have interest in the various items.
Rias stood up and joined him.
"Anything of interest to you?" She asked.
"I think so." Harry answered. "I've never seen most of this stuff." He had answered truthfully. Most of the fake stuff he had never seen before.
"Its all part of the club." Rias smiled. They both heard a tinking sound. Akeno was re-entering the room via a side door with a tea cart.
"Please." Rias said as she waved to the couches. Harry walked over, still avoiding the circle.
They sat down as Akeno served them both teas. Harry had old Mad Eye yelling in the back of his mind. Constant Vigilance!
Harry touched his right index finger to the cup as he held the saucer and cup in his left hand. He moved his finger in seemly random patterns but all the time he was checking for a spike or poison in his drink. It came up clean. Harry then took a sip. Gripping the handle in his right hand he sipped the tea. It was surprisingly good.
"Wow, Akeno-san." Harry said. "This is really good."
"Ufufufu." She giggled. "Thank you Harry-kun."
Harry noticed Rias's eyebrow twitch at Akeno's use of kun.
"Anyways Harry-san" Rias said addressing him. "I would like you to join our club."
"Umm, ok?" Harry said. He was slightly confused. He had thought that this was something more.
"When I say club, I mean join me." Rias clarified.
"Are you asking me out?" Harry asked. Both Rias and Akeno seemed to be thrown with his question.
"D-date?" Rias asked. Then she seemed to get a daydreamy look for a moment before regaining her focus. "No, I didn't mean dating but maybe something later on…" she muttered the end bit.
"So… what do you mean?" Harry asked.
"I'm going to be blunt." Rias said and Harry braced himself. "I'm a devil."
"…"
"…"
"…"
"I'm sorry what?" Harry asked.
"I'm a Devil. From the underworld." Rias said.
"Riiiiiiiiight…" Harry said.
"I can prove it." Rias stood up and wings sprouted from her back. Wings similar to bat wings. Harry stared dumbfounded. Rias then flapped her wings and hovered above the ground. To Rias and Akeno, Harry appeared to be in shock.
In his mind, Harry was not. Fuck! He thought to himself. They're devils! Oh shit! This is bad. I do not need to be dragged into a three-way war with god-like beings while I have my own war, I need to fight in.
Rias sat back down. "Harry I would like to offer you a place within my peerage."
"Peerage?"
"I will reincarnate you into being a devil and you would gain power and strength. Your life would almost last eternity. You can rise up in our society and create your own peerage."
"And the catch?" Harry asked.
"You would serve me until you prove your strength then you would rise to the rank of high-class devil and be able to have your own peerage. Reincarnate your friends and family to be with you forever." Rias explained.
"But I would serve you?" Harry asked. "Be your slave? Possibly forever if I can't get strong enough."
"Its not like that." Akeno said.
"Sure seems that way to me." Harry eyed them and then glanced around the room. Windows and doors as exits.
"I am a member of Rias's Peerage, and I am not a servant." Akeno said. "I am a friend. I am Family."
Harry merely stared at the two of them. He was not buying it. His face was neutral.
"Will you-"
"Why choose me?" Harry asked, cutting off Rias.
"I like you."
"Not good enough." Harry said curtly. His eyes narrowed and his body language changed. He seemed more aggressive and also defensive. Readying himself for a fight.
His change shocked the girls. Harry's eyes became cold and calculating. It was a look that Rias had caught her brother looking like sometimes. A haunted face.
"I would like you to answer honestly this time." Harry said. The girls noticed the change. It was a command not a request. Rias remained seated with Akeno just over her shoulder.
"I wasn't lying to you, Harry-san." Rias said. "I do like you and I think you would make a great fit."
"And?" Harry said.
"I can feel a power that lays dormant within you." Rias said.
Dormant? Harry thought. Can they not feel my magic?
Rias continued to speak. "That power is called a sacred gear. They are items of great power. Or weapons. All of history's most famous people had one. If you become a devil than that power can be unleashed."
"You want me as a weapon."
"No, its more than- "
"No." Harry said cutting her off again.
"No?"
"No."
Harry then stood up. He started to walk away as he looked at the ritual circle and clearly walked around it. The girls followed but at a distance.
"You don't want to be a devil?" Rias asked.
"No." Harry turned back to her as he had one hand on the door. "I don't want any of it. I don't want to be a devil. I don't want to live forever. I don't want to be a servant. I am the master of my fate. No one else will tell me otherwise."
Rias and Akeno both appeared hurt. Like someone had physically struck them. Rias had tears in her eyes at his words.
"Why?"
"I want to die."
"W-what?"
"Eventually I would like to move onto the next great adventure. I would like to one day be reunited with my family." Harry said. Then he pulled the door open and stepped out into the hallway and that was when the magic attack hit him.
-Line Break-
Harry was at home and placed the wartime wards on. He was not going to let them get to him. He could not get a hold of Sirius at the moment, but he would later.
His meeting with the Devils was not good. He had found out that they could not sense any of him magic. He had an idea why, but he couldn't test it right away.
He had cast an advanced shield around himself when he realised, they did not know he was a wizard. The mind magic they had sent at him had washed over his shields but had not affected him. He knew that they had tried to erase his memory of the encounter about them being devils and instead they had implanted a fake memory of them asking him to join the club and he had refused. He had then walked home. He was still injured, and the cast was still on. He wondered if the meeting with Sona would be more or less the same.
He knew that he would have to go and play dumb. He would have to continue to go to school and act like nothing had happened between them. Otherwise they would know that he had retained his memory of the encounter. Thankfully Sirius had taught him occlumency to a masterful level. It would be taxing but he would have to wait and see.
-Line Break-
Harry walked down the hall towards the Student Council Office. The day had ended with Harry acting like nothing happened between them at the old school building. Rias and Akeno had been colder to him during their class together. Harry had been surprised by their mood. He had a theory that Rias had never been denied before. Hopefully this would be a learning experience for her. Yet he was surprised by the cold shoulder. The gossiping had started after witnessing the interaction between the three of them. Harry still headed to the office as he had a feeling it would turn out the same.
Harry knocked. Tsubaki answered the door. She bowed him in, and Harry walked into the student council office. All the members of the council were there seated at desks and filling out paperwork. The whole place gave off more of an office building feeling than a school. Souna was seated at a bigger desk at the other end of the room. When Harry had entered the others finished whatever they were doing and watched him. Harry felt he was on display. Saji placed down a stack of papers and walked over to him.
"Hey Harry." The two of them bumped knuckles.
"Hey Saji." Harry said. "They working you hard?"
"You have no idea man." Saji had a brief grimace. "I had no idea how much the student council did for the school."
"Hang in there." Harry laughed.
"Potter-san?" Asked Tsubaki.
"Sorry, Shinra-san." Harry turned to her and the two of them walked towards Souna.
"Hello Potter-san." Souna said as she waved to the chair in front of her desk. "Thank you for meeting with us."
"Of course, Shitori-san." Harry said as he sat down.
"I see that you know Saji-san." Souna said as Tsubaki went and stood behind her. The others in the room moved closer to them.
"Yeah, we're friends."
Souna nodded to him. "I'll get right to it then."
Harry just nodded.
"Everyone in this room has been given the opportunity that I mentioned to you. I have them here to show you proof that this is a once in a lifetime moment for you. I also wanted to have them here to both answer questions that you have and show the benefits." Souna explained.
"Understandable." Harry said. He then reached out with his magic and felt the same power that was around him.
"I would like you to join me, Harry. Both as a member of the student council and as a member of my Peerage."
Harry raised an eyebrow but said nothing.
"Is there anything you truly want in the world Harry-san?" Souna said. "Is there a dream that you want to fulfil? To experience? To live? Or a certain goal that you want to accomplish or succeed in?"
Harry remained silent.
"I can help you there." Souna said.
Harry had a flashback to his first year at Hogwarts when a certain spoiled blond-haired boy had offered him the same thing. He couldn't help himself. Harry laughed. It started as a chuckle and grew from there. The students and Souna looked confused at one another. None expected his reaction.
"S-sorry." Harry choked out between laughs. Once he had calmed himself down Harry explained. "You almost perfectly echoed an offer that was given to me years ago."
It was Souna's turn to raise an eyebrow.
"And I turned it down." Harry said. "No offense Shitori-san, but you're going to have to do better than that."
The others seemed surprised by this. Tsubaki was shocked and many of the others thought that he had been offered to be a devil before. They weren't wrong, technically. Souna collected herself and tried again.
"Well what is it that you do desire?" Asked Souna.
Harry stared at her and weighed his options. He figured in for a penny, in for a pound. "Revenge and death."
His attitude changed and the aura around Harry shifted drastically. Gone was his normal carefree demeanor and a cold seriousness replaced it. The others immediately felt and saw the change.
"Revenge?" Souna asked rhetorically. "And death?"
"Would you help me with that, Souna?" Harry asked. He dropped the formality.
"What if I said I would?"
Harry leaned forward. He was intrigued with her answer. "You would assist me?"
"If that is what it takes." She answered.
"Takes to do what?"
"In exchange for your goal, I want something in return."
"Understandable." Harry said again. "And that would be your Peerage."
"Yes."
"What is a Peerage?"
Souna smiled and Harry smirked internally. Souna thought the ball was back in her court and that she had regained control.
"A Peerage are my servants for a lack of a better term." Souna said. "The explanation is a little farfetched."
"Try me"
Souna smirked. She waved to Tsubaki. She stepped forward and black wings sprouted out of her back. The same wings that Rias had the day before.
"My offer comes with a certain catch." Souna said. "A Peerage is a term used by devils to indicate their servants or recently reincarnated devils."
Harry raised an eyebrow as he stood up and went in front of Tsubaki. He reached out to her wings. "Do you mind?"
Tsubaki blushed heavily but moved her wings closer to him. Harry reached out and touched them. They felt smooth and silky under his touch and Tsubaki moaned. Her blush increased. Harry smiled at her.
"So, I would be turned into a devil and forced to serve you in exchange for your help in my vendetta?" He asked Souna. "Kind of feels like selling my soul to the devil."
"It would be a temporary. You would learn all there is to be a devil then be granted a higher status and also be granted the chance to have a Peerage of your own."
"Hmm…" Harry answered as he continued to play absentmindedly with Tsubaki's wings which caused no end of pleasure for the girl. Her legs started to become weak as well. Harry had been channeling magic into his fingers and sending it into Tsubaki.
"Its awesome Harry!" Saji spoke up. "You get to live forever! You get cool powers, and you get to fly! You get super strong! Even magic! Its like being a superhero!"
Harry smiled in amusement at his friend. Souna glared a Saji. "Seems like you are enjoying yourself." Harry said. "Or are you happier with the company?"
Saji blushed at the accusation as Harry glanced around the room. Saji was the only boy and Harry knew he was a closet pervert.
"Thank you, Saji-san." Souna said firmly. The blushing boy closed his mouth and sat down. "As you can probably guess everyone of the student council are members of my peerage and are also devils."
At that moment Tsubaki groaned and collapsed to the floor. She was fidgeting. Harry knelt and asked if she was ok. She blushed so much Harry thought all of the blood in her body was rushing to her face. The other girls helped her to a chair. Souna was concerned and embarrassed about her queen.
"Sorry about that." Souna said about both Saji and Tsubaki.
"That was my fault." Harry admitted as he retook his seat.
"Would you become a devil then?" Souna asked. "I know that this was not the most conventional way to convince you."
"Would you help me?" Harry asked.
"With your revenge?"
"Yes."
"What would it involve?" Souna asked.
"Fighting in a war." Harry answered seriously.
"A war?" Souna was surprised and confused. "Which war?"
"A war without borders. A war that has everything to do with the status of people. A war that is hidden in the shadows of the world." Harry said, purposely being vague.
"A class war?" Souna asked. "For the betterment of people?"
"Yes and no." Harry became dark. "You would have to kill and assassinate. Spy and do back-alley deals."
The devils were a bit concerned with Harry. Souna narrowed her eyes.
"I would be interfering in the human world and that is not something I can do very easily." Souna said. "Also how are you involved in this war?"
"My parents were murdered by the psychopath that is leading it." Harry said. "I want to avenge my parents and save my friends. As well as all the others that he is prosecuting."
"I haven't heard about any of this." Souna said.
"Of course not." Harry said. "Judging by what you have said there is a pecking order in this devil world. Perhaps you aren't as high up enough to know." Harry stated and watched a twitch appear near her eye. Hit a nerve there. Harry thought to himself.
"That is more my sister's area of expertise." Souna said flatly.
"Oh?"
"Yes." Souna said. The silence stretched for a moment. The others were waiting for Harry and Souna to continue.
"You don't know who I am do you?" Harry finally asked.
Souna appeared confused. "You're Harry James Potter. Is that not your name?"
"It is," Harry said, "but its not who I am. I thought there was a specific reason you wanted me in your Peerage, but I think I guessed wrong."
This appeared to throw everyone.
"Why do you want me in your Peerage, Souna?"
"You have a power. An ability that is hidden within you. I can help you awaken it. Harness it and use it. I want that to benefit my Peerage and my standing."
"You want me as a weapon?"
"No! I want to rely on you to protect my Peerage and my family. I have a dream and a goal too." Souna said. "You could help me realise it."
"Interesting."
"I cannot promise to fight in this hidden war of yours as I would need my sister's help and I have no idea if she would agree or not. But I can promise that I would assist you as much as I can without being directly involved at this moment in time." Souna offered.
"I understand and that does help." Harry said. "But I'm declining your offer of being a devil."
Everyone seemed shocked. Souna blinked in confusion. Seems like another princess that has never been refused before. Harry thought.
"Why?" Souna asked.
"I will never be anyone's servant." Harry said as he stood up. "I am the master of my fate. No one else gets to decide that other than me."
Harry walked to the door as they all sat in shock. As he opened the door the same magic stuck him just like Rias. Memory wipe spell that his shields easily blocked. Harry made his face go blank as Souna changed the meeting into one of him joining just the student council, but he refused. Everything about Devils was erased as well as him speaking about war.
Harry was then instructed via magic to return home for the night. Harry gladly pretended to comply.
-Line Break-
Harry was home and he spoke to Sirius about his encounters with the devils. Sirius didn't like it.
"So, the devils are in Japan?" Sirius said. "I can't imagine the Shinto gods are happy about that."
"Shinto gods?" Harry asked.
"The gods of the Shinto religion. They are the indigenous religion of Japan." Sirius said. "As a member of one of the oldest magical families I have some access to some information that others don't."
"So, wait… all the gods exist?" Harry asked.
"Of course all of them do."
"Wait, wait… what?" Harry was staring into his magic mirror.
"Well of course they do." Sirius reasoned. "If all the magical creatures and angels and devils exist then why not all the gods? Not just the ones you know of. There are lots of religions and lots of gods."
"I- umm. Yeah, I guess." Harry said at a loss for words.
"All of the ancient and noble families as well as the higher ups in the ICW all know about the greater supernatural world." Sirius explained. "The truth is that the magical community has had past dealings with the three factions. As you already know due to our history lessons, the fallen angels reached out to wizards first. They wanted help in fighting the other two and that resulted in the fallen stabbing the wizards in the back."
"Fighting the other two?" Harry asked.
"The three factions have been fighting in a war for centuries. The three have been in a truce for just as long. They are stuck in their own Cold War right now. Yet there are still small fights here and there."
"So, witches and wizards have had interactions with the other two as well."
"Yes." Continued Sirius. "Don't you remember your history lessons with Master Kuro?"
"Umm…"
"Let me guess you weren't playing attention?" Sirius asked in a deadpan voice.
"I did but it was still hard. After Binns its like natural to get sleepy when the subject is brought up." Harry said defending himself.
"Uh huh." Sirius said. "It had nothing to do with Master Kuro having a body a veela would be jealous to have?"
"N-no…"
"Whatever you say pup." Sirius smirked at him. "The short version is the Devils then made an alliance with us to get back at the fallen angels. Of course, the witches and wizards at the time wanted revenge and jumped at the chance. The leader of the wizards at the time was Herpo the Foul. The devils taught him horrible things and he turned on his fellow wizards and witches. Hence the Foul title he got. The precursor to the International Confederation of Wizards was formed then to stop Herpo. That also resulted in us rebelling against our devil allies as they wished to subjugate us."
"So, the devils are pretty bad?"
"Oh yeah and scary powerful. Herpo was a pioneer of the Dark Arts because of his connections to them. Yet it was his dark magic that the wizards and witches started to invent much of our defensive magic that we still use today."
"Is that why they are mostly in Latin?" Harry asked.
"That and also with our last alliance with the angels and the church. At the time the ICW had formed and been in full swing. In the early days of its founding the wizards and witches were devoted to protecting our non-magical brethren from all of the greater supernatural threats. With that goal we joined with the angels and the church. Yet we refused to stop worship of the other pantheons that are partly responsible for our magic. The church feared our power and that we would betray them. They ended up turning on us and that was the result of the witch hunts and burnings."
"Seriously?" Harry asked.
"I'm always-"
"Stop!" Harry jumped in. "Forget I said that."
"Spoil sport." Sirius pouted. "But in all honesty yes that was the cause of the witch burnings."
"And now I am stuck between two devils that want to recruit me and turn me into a devil." Harry said with a groan.
"They said you had a power within you right?" Sirius asked.
"Yeah, I thought that it was my magic but none of them could feel my it or tell when I cast a spell." Harry said.
"That would be because of a ritual that the ICW did to hide our presence and magic from all three members of the faction. We let them believe that the church had wiped us out during the witch burnings. Add the ritual to the mix and then we had a pretty good escape plan. The statue of secrecy also came into affect to protect us from everyone as the muggles sided with the church at the time."
"That makes a surprising amount of sense." Harry said. "But I don't get why this is hidden knowledge."
"Its still possible to summon a devil via a ritual. The ICW outlawed it and also sealed the records of all our dealings with them to protect us as a whole." Sirius explained. "Plus, the Purebloods like to think that they are the most powerful beings in the world."
"Of course." Harry sighed.
"Also, we did develop a lot of our spells to fight against them." Sirius said.
"Well what do you think this dormant power is?" Harry asked.
"I think you should visit Master Tanaka." Sirius said after a pause.
"Really?"
"Yes. I also think we might need to transfer you out of the school." Sirius stared at him.
"I thought you might say that." Harry said. "We might need to do it differently as we don't want them to know that their magic did not work."
"Agreed." Sirius said. "I have an idea."
-Line Break-
"Harry-san is transferring schools." Akeno reported to Rias.
"Really?" Rias stopped her work.
"Yes. Tsubaki just told me about it." Akeno said.
"This seems suspicious timing." Rias said as she looked at the couch where Harry had sat when he refused her offer.
"I agree and so does Sona. She had Tsubaki looked into it."
"And?"
"Apparently his uncle has bought a business in Kyoto so he will be moving there." Akeno said.
"When is he leaving?"
"Soon. A week from now." Akeno said in disappointment.
Rias continued to stare at the couch were Harry had sat. "I want him under observation until he leaves."
"Understood, Buchou."
-Line Break-
Harry was walking through the park that was between the Academy and his house. He had found it peaceful and a break from school life. Harry also did it because he knew he was being followed. This was not a new development for him. He had hidden bodyguards for a little while before they were killed in assassination attempts. Still they were a lot better than the ones following him now.
Harry walked around for a few hours and just tried to relax. He had been in contact with Master Tanaka, and she said he had a Scared Gear and could activate it through mediation. He had tried and found a red barrier in his mind. There was something there, but it was not allowing him to get near it.
He passed the fountain on his way home when his sixth danger sense went off. He stopped and looked around. There was a killing intent in the air around him. He had felt the feeling many times before. Harry spotted the origin of it all. A man in a trench coat and a fedora came walking out of the tree line.
"Good evening." The man said as he adjusted his hat.
"I'd say the same, but I get the feeling its not going to be anymore." Harry replied.
The man laughed. "You would be right."
"So, who is my would-be killer?" Harry asked as he started to prepare his magic.
"My name is Dohnaseek. Raynare was the one that was supposed to deal with you, but she has other commitments." He said.
"Well I'm flattered that they sent you instead." Harry said. "I hate killing women. Makes me feel dirty but sometimes you can't help it."
"You, kill me!" Dohnaseek laughed. "That's a riot."
A spear of light formed in his hand. "Now hold still filthy mortal. Otherwise it will get messy."
The angel lunged at him. Harry smirked and raised his hands.
-Line Break-
"Rias!"
The redhead turned to Koneko. The girl was panting hard. Beside Rias was Sona and their queens.
"Koneko?" she asked.
"The Fallen are attacking Potter-sempai."
Both Kings looked at each other before disappearing from school with the Rook.
-Line Break-
Dohnaseek was panting hard as he coughed up blood. He was in rough shape. The fucking mortal had cut off one of his wings. With my own spear! Dohnaseek cursed to himself. He threw his hand into the air and a flare of magic went up.
"Calling for back up?" Harry mocked him. In the boy's hand was a weapon that had once been the spear of light belonging to the fallen angel. Yet Harry had snatched it and through his magic reshaped it. The spear now resembled a very familiar looking sword. Almost identical to one that Harry had wielded at the age of twelve.
The severed wing lay on the ground between the two combatants.
"You'll be ripped apart by them!" Dohnaseek screamed. The pain wrecking his body.
"If they are anything like you, I like my…" Harry disappeared from sight with the faintest of pops. Dohnaseek looked down to see his own spear of light pierce through his back and out his chest. Harry's mouth a few inches away from his ear. "…odds."
The fallen angel coughed blood before clasping to the gravel path. A pool of blood formed under him. Harry waited and watched as the pool slowly grew and seemed to flow towards the severed wing.
A portal opened up in the sky as men dressed as priests exited the many trees that surrounded the fountain. "Well here we go." Harry said to himself.
-Line Break-
Harry sat back against the fountain. Bodies and feathers littered the ground as his breathing became ragged. He had killed quite a few of the rogue priests and another fallen angel. The other two fallen angels and that one priest did get a few lucky shots in. The fucker also had a gun. Harry thought to himself as he coughed violently. "Cheater." He groaned. He looked down at the broken mirror beside him. He couldn't even call Sirius for help. "Fuck."
Harry then started coughing again. "I'm sorry guys." He looked up at the stars. "I wish I could protect you. I wish I could be there for you. I wish you didn't have to face him alone."
Light started to appear on the ground in front of him. He sighed as the fallen had no doubt decided to come back and finish the job. The circle was red and another one appeared but blue. The fallen's circle had been a purple colour. With a flash almost two dozen people stood in front of him. They seemed to be shocked at the sight around them. It was not a pretty picture that was for sure. Harry did not like killing or fighting at all. Yet he had found he was very good at it. He had been trained by multiple masters of combat. Both magical and mundane. Still he had been reckless, and he knew it.
"Harry?"
He looked up to see Saji rushing towards him. "Harry!"
Harry gave him a grimacing smile. Blood was dripping out of his mouth. As well as from the bullet holes in his chest and right leg. "Hey mate… I look a right state, don't I?" Harry spoke in English with his accent in full effect.
"Kami man." Saji looked at him and all the blood.
"Saji move!" Ordered Souna as she knelt down next to him. Tsubaki joined her with Rias and Akeno on his other side. Tsubaki and Akeno started to use a healing magic, but Harry raised his hand to stop them.
"Its too late." Harry said. "I can feel her creeping up on me. I can't escape her this time."
The girls refused to listen and redoubled their efforts. Yet it was not helping.
Harry waved his magical glowing sword at them, and they all instinctively moved back. "Please stop." He dropped the sword and it burst into tiny particles of light as it hit the ground.
Harry turned to Souna and Rias. "I need you to do something for me." He requested. "Tell Sirius my luck finally ran out. I'm ok with it and I'm going to see my parents."
"You're not-"
"Shh. Just listen." Harry said weakly. "Tell him I was one of them. And this needed to happen. That it needed to be destroyed. Tell him old snake face should be mortal now. He can send him to the darkest place of hell for me."
Rias and Souna were both sad. Souna pulled out her evil pieces. "Harry I'm going to save you."
He looked at her and smiled weakly. Souna continued. "I'm going to turn you into a devil. I know that you don't want to be one, but I swear now on the house of Sitri that I will always treat you like an equal and assist you in becoming a high-class devil so you can become your own king and leader of a peerage."
Souna then pushed her last remaining piece into him. A second later it was rejected. "No!" She tried again and again. This time she placed in her remaining four pawns. Two of them glowed to signal that they were mutation pieces. It wasn't enough though. The normal evil pieces were rejected but the mutation pieces remained in his body. "He costs too much!"
"Its ok." He said weakly.
"Rias." Souna turned to her friend. Rias was already pulling out her pawn pieces.
"Harry, I will give you the same oath that Sona gave you. I swear on the house of Gremory that I will always treat you like an equal and assist you in becoming a high-class devil so you can become your own king and leader of a peerage."
One by one the pawn pieces entered Harry's body. Yet just like Souna the pieces were rejected except for the mutation ones. "No!" Rias screamed. "The mutation pieces! What is happening?"
"Rias, I may have an idea. A very crazy and dangerous idea." Souna said. The briefest explanation between them and in agreement they went through with it.
Just as the last piece entered his chest Harry drew his last breath.
