The Red Wizard

By SilverHoodedKitsune

Hey everyone! Sorry for not updating sooner. I started a new job that has been a bit more taxing than I thought it would be. Anyways here is the new chapter. I also got a reviewer asking what my update schedule will be. I am going to try and update every two weeks. Now that I am more settled I see this as a good goal.

This is obviously a Harry Potter and Highschool DxD Crossover story. I do not own the rights to Harry Potter nor Highschool DxD. I'm just having some fun playing in the Wizarding World and the DxD World. Please support creators by purchasing their work. Also, everyone depicted is of age. Cheers.

Also I started an account on AO3 with the same Username and Story titles. Just in case this ends up getting deleted for whatever reason.

Warning: This story involves violence, mentions of darker themes and unconventional relationships yet is consensual on those involved. The story will also have dark and juvenile humour.

The Red Wizard

Chapter VI: Director

Day after reincarnation

Harry exhaled slowly as he knelt in front of the fireplace. The shattered remains of his magical mirror rested to the side of him. He held the floo powder in his hand but had hesitated in tossing it into the flames. The time change alone had allowed him to put the upcoming conversation on hold, but he knew that he was going to have to talk to Sirius sooner or later.

Steeling his resolve he lifted his hand only for the flames to burst into green and Sirius' face burst forth.

"Hey Pup!"

"Gaaaagghh!" Harry stumbled backwards as the floo powder flew into the air as his godfather had scared the shite out of him.

Sirius blinked and then immediately started laughing. Harry was quick to sit back up but glared at Sirius.

"Never gets old." Sirius said as he wiped a tear away from his eye. Chuckles still escaped his mouth as he did.

"Thanks Padfoot." Harry said flatly as he dusted the powder off of himself.

"I did try your mirror first, but it wasn't working." Sirius said.

Guilt flashed across Harry's face. "About that…"

"What happened?"

Harry held up the shards of glass.

"You broke it?" Sirius asked.

"It wasn't my fault!" Harry rushed to explain.

"What happened, Harry?" Sirius asked in a soft and worried tone.

Harry sighed and then two black bat like wings appeared from his back.

Sirius was wide eyed and paled for a second. "Are you ok?"

Harry nodded and for once acted like a child. He looked guilty and upset. There was an anger underneath it all as well as frustration and worry. Worry not for himself but what Sirius would think of him now.

"What happened pup?"

Harry then took a breath, and it all came pouring out. The approaching and offers from the girls and then the fight with the fallen angel. His death and reincarnation as well as the battle for his soul. He ended it with Ddraig being revealed and showed the gauntlet to Sirius. Throughout the whole story his godfather had merely listened and had not said a word.

"Are you mad?" Harry asked him.

Sirius looked at him and then retreated into the flames. The green disappeared and the normal red flames flickered in the fireplace. Harry sat rooted to the spot as Sirius had left him. After everything this had been the breaking point and he was alone. That secret fear that Harry had always had and over the years had tried to push away. It came rushing back as the despair was settling in.

Then there was a whoosh of air and behind him Sirius appeared holding a portkey. He took the two strides needed to reach him and wrapped Harry up in a hug.

"I'm so sorry, Harry." Sirius said as he hugged his son. "I should have just pulled you out of that school right away and not left you there."

Harry had some tears roll down his face as he hugged his godfather. He clutched him afraid to let go.

The moment had passed, and Harry's fears were soon forgotten as Sirius had sat him down on the couch and made them tea. They sipped on it as understanding of the new situation came to light.

"Well now you don't have to be a damn martyr, like Dumbledore always thought." Sirius said.

"You knew I had to die?" Harry asked. "I asked Master Tanaka to not mention anything to you."

"Well she did." Sirius said. "Don't be mad at her but the two of us have been researching everything about horcruxes since. We have been trying to find another way to removed it from you."

Harry nodded slowly. He had a brief flash of anger at Tanaka but understood that she meant well with her sharing the information with Sirius. The man was his guardian and father in almost everything but name.

"I'll have to thank those devil girls of yours for saving your life." Sirius said.

"About that…" Harry said and explained that he had purposely omitted the part were he was a wizard to them.

"You what?" Sirius asked in surprise. "They are going to be mad when they find out you are keeping secrets."

"I know but Ddraig thought it was for the best." Harry said. Sirius then looked at the red gauntlet on his arm. The beast dwelling inside of it was immortal and a godly being.

"I guess we'll have to trust the overgrown lizard."

"I am more than a lizard, Sirius Orion Black!" Ddraig shouted as the green jewel glowed.

"Fuck me it talks!" Sirius squealed and jumped back.

"Of course I can talk!" Ddraig yelled. "I could talk before you humans were even a concept!"

"Sorry!" Sirius yelped as he eyed the gauntlet worriedly.

"I should think so!" Ddraig said before the jewel dimmed and returned to normal.

"Does he always do that?" Sirius asked Harry.

"That was the first time."

"Well you have a dragon in your corner now, so I think that the whole devil thing worked out." Sirius said and smiled meekly.

The two continued to talk with Sirius then gaining insight to the devils and slowly forming a plan. He was going to need help but Harry by accident could have just become the best thing to happen to the wizarding world.

Harry took a breath and knocked on the door. He waited for a moment before an enter was said. He slid the door open and walked inside. He was back in the student council room. He saw everyone hard at work. They glanced up one by one as they saw him.

"Hello Harry-san." Tsubaki greeted him. She gave him a bow.

"What's with the strict attitude Tsubaki?" Harry asked informally. "We're peerage members now and according to Sona and Rias it is supposed to be like a family. Just call me Harry."

Tsubaki blushed but nodded. "Of course, Harry."

"Same goes for everyone else." Harry addressed the room.

They all smiled back at him. Sona had more members than Rias with all of them being beautiful girls and Saji. He could see why the boy liked his position so much. Harry did think that being a devil had a lot of perks so far. The girls were the biggest so far as well as his time with Koneko. He blushed slightly at the memory. He schooled his features and walked up to Sona's desk.

"Reporting in Sona." Harry said.

"Harry as you are a member of my peerage, I have certain standards. As we are also members of the student council, we have to be role models and leaders of the school. You will address me and your fellow members with the proper honorific." Sona told him while looking over her glasses in a severe look.

"Yeah, that's not going to work for me." Harry said. "Also the look you are going for needs work. I have been on the receiving end of a master."

"Potter-san-"

"Harry."

"Potter-"

"Harry."

"Potter-san!" Sona yelled over him. "You will-"

"I remember your pledge to me Sona." Harry interrupted her. "A pledge to be treated as an equal."

Sona closed her eyes and let out a breath before opening them and meeting Harry's eyes. "I remember Potter-san. Which is what I am talking about right now. Respect and trust."

"Earned and given." Harry said.

"What?" Sona was confused.

"Respect is earned, and trust is freely given." Harry said. "I trust you, Sona. Yet to me calling me by my name is respectful and goes with my trust."

"Addressing each other in an informal way shows others that we are more than just master and servant as well as friends and allies." Harry said. "Rias told me about your dream a bit."

"She what?" Sona was angry for a second.

"I agree with it and respect it greatly." Harry said. "You want to bridge that gap between the pureblood devils and the reincarnated devils."

Sona just stared at him.

"Why not start now by leading by example?" Harry continued to explain. "I bet others here would love to be more open and informal."

Harry turned to her peerage, and he prompted them. They stared at him and then at Sona.

"Please answer honestly." Sona asked of them.

"I would," the white-haired Momo said as she stood up, "love to speak on more friendly terms with everyone here. That includes you Sona-sama -er Sona. Like Harry said, we are supposed to be family or at least friends. From what you have told us we will be marching into battle together one day and I need to know I can trust my friends to help support me and help me get through those battles."

"Well said." Harry said and smiled at her.

"I agree, with Momo!" Saji yelled as he stood straight up like he was a soldier being examined. "We are all supposed to be treated equally and being able to address each other would be the best step."

The blond boy was sweating bullets and Harry was suspected that he had a massive crush on their king. Of course Saji would love to talk to Sona in a more intimate fashion.

"I also agree, Sona." Tsubaki said. Sona turned to her queen with surprise. "We will always be loyal and supportive of you yet to be treated more equally would go a long way for not just us but also the rest of the Underworld."

Sona closed her eyes and sighed. She then opened them slowly and her eyes swept over everyone gathered in front of her.

"Is this how the rest of you feel as well?" She asked them.

There was many nods and soft yeses of agreement.

"I see." Sona said. She stood up from her desk and bowed to them all.

"I apologise for being rude to all of you and making you feel marginalized. That was not my intention." Sona said to them.

Everyone's eyes widened and they rushed to their king. They all started reassuring her that they didn't see it like that, and they understood that Sona wanted to set an example to the younger years.

Harry smiled as he watched them all come to her defense.

"Only here for a few moments and you have already made big changes." Tsubaki told him as she stood with as Sona wiped at her watery eyes.

"They love and respect her too much to point out anything negative or different with her views." Harry explained.

Tsubaki nodded.

"Also Rias told me that Sona had a bit of a stick up her ass that she needed to remove in order to help achieve her dreams." Harry admitted.

"I'm not surprised that Rias said that." Tsubaki chuckled.

Harry then walked up to Sona next.

"I'm sorry for calling you out in front of everyone, Sona." Harry said. "That was unfair and not respectful to your position as king. So I apologise."

"That is alright Po- Harry." Sona said. "It appears that I was so focused on my goals long term that I forgot to change them in the short term. As well as trying to live up to expectations placed upon me. This will be a lesson for me. I appreciate your honesty."

"Thank you." Harry said. "Believe me, I get the burden of expectations. In the future I'll speak to you alone if I have any concerns."

Sona nodded to him.

A week had gone by with Harry working with the student council and the rest of the student body had taken notice. Harry was getting ready to head out for the day as he and Koneko had to read lines for the film again. They had read through the script once together and were now rehearsing the lines for the first scenes that were going to be shot first.

"Harry-san?" Katase and her friends walked up to him as he put on his riding jacket.

"Hey ladies. What's up?" Harry greeted.

"We heard that you have been helping out the student council. Is that true?" Her brunette friend Murayama asked. The students milling about all started to eavesdrop on the conversation.

"Yeah, I was asked by Tsubaki and Sona if I wanted to join." Harry told them.

"You're on the student council now too?" they asked in shock.

"Well I'm a temporary member right now. If I pass the probation, they'll see about me becoming a full-time member. I would need to be voted in though." Harry said.

"I'll vote for you!" the trio shouted out.

"Thanks ladies." Harry gave them his infamous lopsided grin. Katie Bell had told him that with that grin he would get girls to drop their panties for him in the future. Seemed that she was right based on the blushes and hearts in the girls' eyes. "It means so much that you would support me."

"Harry for student council!" Screamed Katase and then nearby girls and some guys all cheered for him.

Unknown to them all and Harry was Sona and Tsubaki watching them all in the school lobby.

"Looks like having Harry join via an election will be quite easy." Tsubaki said.

"It would appear so." Sona muttered. Her mind wondered if he had planned that, or he was just lucky.

As Harry smiled and waved to his new supporters, he did excuse himself as he needed to be going to help out his club as well. The surrounding students were still hyped as he left the school building as Katase, and her two friends took charge and started organizing a campaign for Harry to run for student council. They then started shouting at how admiring he was to be in a club as well as the student council and still be the top of most of his classes. He is an inspiration for all students.

"Perhaps too easy." Tsubaki said as both her and Sona had sweat drops at seeing the students so rallied up.

-Line Break-

The next morning Harry had received a text from Sona to meet her before school with Rias at the west gate. He had arrived via the west entrance to the grounds, which was the quietest of all the entrances to the school grounds, as instructed. He had raised an eyebrow upon seeing the welcoming committee.

Sona and Rias were standing there with their respective peerages. Beside Sona was Tsubaki and Momo who were talking quietly as Akeno and Tsubasa Yura spoke a little way away. Then there was Kiba with Reya Kusaka and Ruruko Nimura. The other group was Tomoe Meguri chatting with Koneko and Saji by himself leaning against one of the trees lining the path. Sona and Rias were in the middle of the path talking quietly. Saji was the first to spot him.

"Yo, Harry!" He greeted and pushed himself off the tree. "What's the deal with usurping Sona?"

"What are you talking about?" Harry asked.

"The rest of the students are going crazy and waving flags in support of Harry for president." Saji said.

"They're what!?" Harry asked in shock.

"I guess you really didn't know." Saji said. "Damn I was hoping for a chance to punch you."

"The hell Saji?" Harry yelled. "You wanted to punch me?"

"Well you're leading a rebellion against Sona!"

"No I'm not!" Harry yelled back.

"Relax both of you." Sona ordered as everyone gathered together round Harry.

"What is going on?" Harry asked.

"After school yesterday when you were speaking with Katase, and her friends there seemed to be an overwhelming support of you joining the student council." Sona said.

"Yeah, they got pretty pumped up." Harry said.

"Well they got more than pumped up." Rias said as she smirked. "Seems like your little fan club has now sparked a movement to have you replace Sona as the new council president."

Harry choked on air. "W-what?"

"Its just as Rias says." Sona confirmed. "They are campaigning on your behalf to hold an emergency vote of no confidence to remove me and then vote you in."

"I did not tell them to do that." Harry said hurriedly. "You have to believe me. I want nothing to do with politics."

"We know. That is why we needed to inform you as to what was happening before the girls got a hold of you. No telling what would have happened if they blindsided you." Sona said.

"Shit." Harry swore in English, yet all of the devils understood what he said. "Should I just leave for the day and come up with a plan?"

"Just tell them you don't want the job." Saji said.

"No that won't work." Harry said. "They are too fanatical right now. I need them to which goals."

"Interesting perspective." Rias said.

"I've seen it happen before." Harry said. "They are blinded by their goal and won't listen to me at this point."

"You're saying they have a mob mentality." Sona said.

"They might cool off a bit if I'm home sick for the day." Harry suggested. "While I'm away I'll think of a plan."

"Alright what do you want us to say when they ask where you are?" Rias asked.

"I have food poisoning?" Harry suggested.

"That works." Sona said.

"It would also allow you to return to school the next day without looking too suspicious." Rias agreed.

"Awesome I can tell all the girls that Harry is shitting his pants." Saji said happily.

"Thanks, Saji." Harry said flatly.

"Just helping out my bud!"

Harry went home as quickly as possible and locked himself in his home. He sat down on the couch and sighed. The students here might be worse than at Hogwarts. At least they aren't bad mouthing me. He thought to himself.

He sighed again as he tried to think of a way to get out of this.

-Line Break-

"Where is he?" Katase asked as she paced back and forth in front of the main gate.

"He was sick yesterday, remember?" Murayama said.

"I know but we worked super hard on this." She said.

"He could still be sick. Koneko did tell us directly that he had gotten food poisoning." Said Levy, the third member of their trio.

"Yeah, I know I was just hoping he would be here today." Katase said.

The three girls then heard the sound of a motorcycle and rushed to the parking lot. Harry had just pulled up when the girls had rushed him, and other students were waving banners with Potter-sama for president. All of them had buttons pinned to their uniforms too.

"Harry-sama!" the trio shouted.

"Umm hey everyone?" Harry said nervously.

"Harry-sama. We have set everything up. We're here to support you on your run for president of the student council."

"Run for president?" Harry asked in confusion.

"Of course!" Katase said. "Who else would we want?"

"Sona?" Harry said. "She's been a great president."

"True but you wanted our support." Murayama said.

"Yes, for my joining them, not kicking out Sona." Harry said.

"Well we still think you would be the best president." Katase said and the crowd cheered in agreement.

Fuck. Harry thought. "Gather all the students that agree at lunch break at the track field." Harry told them.

"You heard him folks!" Katase yelled. "Spread the word!"

-Line Break-

Harry entered the student council office to find Sona and Rias.

"I have a plan." He said and he outlined it to them before they agreed to the plan.

-Line Break-

At lunch the whole of the student body were gathered in front of a stage that had been set up by the student council. Many of the students watched as the council ran around setting things up. Harry then stepped up onto the stage and the students erupted into cheers. They were led by Katase and the rest of her trio.

Harry then waved Sona up on the stage and there were cheers for her too. Looks like Sona still has a big fan base. Harry thought.

"Hello Kuoh Academy!" Harry yelled. The crowd roared back. Harry smiled at them. "Over the last couple of days there has been my fellow students campaigning to have me become the next student council president." Cheers broke out at this.

"As much as I love the support this was not my intention. I would have to give up on the Occult Research Club which I have found such a love for. I don't want to give up on what I truly love doing. I was approached by Sona to become a temporary member to see if I liked it. Yet I only wanted to join the council in a new position that has not been created yet. Sona has been on the fence about the new position so that is why I wanted to ask the students now if they would vote my proposition."

The crowd seemed excited.

"I wish to become the Director of Sports for the school." Harry announced. "As part of the position I wanted create a sports festival for the school with all of the clubs and classrooms competing for a prize!"

The crowd roared approval for the idea. Harry smiled and turned to Sona. "President Sona does that sound like the students are excited by the idea?"

Sona took the microphone.

"Harry came to me about the idea, and I do like the sound of it. Yet I do need a vote of approval from the students." She said. "All against Harry and his new position and the festival." There was silence.

"All for Harry and his new position and the festival."

The roar of the crowd was deafening. Harry laughed and stood next to Sona. Sona fixed her glasses and smiled a rare smile. "Looks like Potter, Harry is now a member of the student council and Director of Sports. As well as a school sports festival!"

Another roar and Harry grabbed Sona's hand and raised it up with his in victory and waved to the crowd. Harry smiled at Sona and got her to wave to the crowd.

"A little show-boaty don't you think?" Sona quietly said to him.

"Nah." Harry whispered back. "They need to see this as a victory for both of us as well as them. Symbolism is important."

Sona looked at him in surprise. Perhaps my assessment of him was wrong. She thought to herself.

-Line Break-

"Well that was a crisis adverted." Rias said after school.

Harry walked into the club room and collapsed onto the couch. His head was thrown back as he stared at the ceiling but not really seeing it. He sighed and focused on using occlumency to process and lessen the stress he felt building.

"For the moment at least." Harry sighed.

"Putting out fires like that is all part of the job." She said.

Harry groaned. "I thought coming to school here I would be able to avoid this shit."

Rias giggled.

"So is the festival actually a go ahead?" Rias asked curiously.

"Yeah…"

"Aren't you excited? It was your idea after all."

"I was until I realised how much paperwork I created for myself!" Harry pouted. "I have way too much on my plate now..."

Rias giggled more.

Akeno rolled her tea cart into the room to see Harry stressing out and Rias laughing at his expense. "Ufufufu."

Harry glared at the dark-haired girl. "Laugh it up while you can, Akeno. Now that I'm on the student council I could make your school life a living hell."

"You wouldn't abuse your power like that, Harry-kun." She smirked at him.

Harry got an evil grin on his face and spoke. "Try me."

Akeno seemed to shiver at his words and got a blush across her face. "Don't tease unless you can back it up little man."

"You want to see how far you can push me?" Harry asked in defiance.

"Is that a challenge?" Akeno asked as she licked her lips.

"I thought it was already started. Cause I'll push back a hundred-fold." Harry whispered dangerously to her.

"Enough flirting you two." Rias said as she rolled her eyes.

"Flirting?" Harry muttered in confusion. He was serious there. If she pushed him, he would get his revenge, Marauder style.

"Akeno, I have assigned Koneko to watch duty tonight." Rias said. "So I need you to fill in for her contracts tonight and possibly tomorrow as well."

"Understood, Buchou."

"Is this why Koneko cancelled rehearsals tonight?" Harry asked.

"Yes, unfortunately I need her skills." Rias told him.

"Anything I can do to help?" Harry asked.

"I thought you already had too much on your plate?" Rias said teasingly.

"If its important to you then I'll make time for it." Harry answered seriously.

Rias regarded him for a moment. Harry had thought he saw a faint blush but then the club room was lit by candles.

"Thank you." She said with genuine appreciation. "Though for right now Koneko is the most skilled for this assignment."

Harry nodded and then yawned.

"Though if you are free then I could use you for some more contracts." Rias added with a smirk.

Great.

-Line Break-

Harry was newly in charge of all of the sport clubs in the school and Sona had sent him to officially introduce himself to the clubs and the club leaders. He had been to almost all of the normal high school clubs. The female baseball club wanted him to prove himself though. He was thankful that some of the other clubs had been present when he had stepped up to the plate and hit the ball clear out of the field. He smirked at their shocked faces as he ran around the bases in victory. He also showed a modified version of his quidditch team trophy photo. Almost everyone thought that he had won a football league cup. Harry did not correct them.

Still the kendo club was next, and Harry was walking over when he heard the perverted giggling and squeals of delight. He paused and turned to narrow it down to behind the kendo dojo changing rooms. The girls' changing room to be specific. Harry made his way over quietly as he peeked around the corner. He caught the Pervert Trio in the act.

Harry had been aware of the infamous trio of Kuoh Academy. He was amazed that the boys had yet to be expelled. If this had been Hogwarts, then McGonagall would have turned them into eels and tossed them into the Black Lake for the rest of eternity. Still he was pissed. He liked naked girls just as much as any straight red-blooded male and that had only increased a thousand-fold when he had turned into a devil. His desires and lust had shot through the roof. Still he respected women. He was not lowly enough to do something so perverted and criminal as to peep at girls changing. He snuck behind them and waited. They were making enough noise to be caught fairly soon.

Sure enough they tried to escape but they tripped and fell. No one had seen Harry cast a subtle tripping jinx.

"Going somewhere boys?" Harry asked in a cold voice.

"Harry-sempai!" They shouted in alarm.

Just as they were trying to pick themselves up the girls' kendo club rounded the corner with full gear. All of them had their wooden swords in hand.

"Harry-sama." Katase said as she noticed her crush towering over the perverts.

"Hello Katase-san." Harry greeted. "I was just on my way to speak with you all when I happened upon these three spying on you."

The girls all growled and gripped their blades tighter.

"Matsuda, Motohama and Issei. If you hadn't already heard, I am now the director of sports for the student council. That means that all sports clubs are under my responsibility. Do you three, get what I'm driving at?"

The three shook their heads.

Harry sighed. "These girls are now under my protection! If I see you anywhere near here again, I will personally see that you are all expelled understand!"

"YES!" They all shouted and tried to escape but Harry stopped them.

"Where do you think you are going?" Harry asked them with an evil grin.

"You're not letting us go?"

"Oh I'll let you go once you've received punishment." Harry said. He turned to the club. "I'll have the peep hole fixed by tomorrow. But for the time being have fun practicing with your volunteers."

Harry then waved goodbye and walked away as the girls started to get in extra practice and Harry heard the joyous screams of their volunteers.

Sirius would be proud. Harry thought vindictively.
