There was a time everyone and their mothers used to live in Sunset Valley. Why wouldn't they? It was a quiescent little town by the west coast of SimNation, not too isolated nor too bustling, just nice and suburban enough to appeal to many different kinds of Sims. Usually, those Sims were already born there, and saw no reason to leave such a well balanced place. However, other times, the town of modest opportunity attracted people who desired to unbalance Sunset Valley's apparent tranquil stillness: a couple decades ago, a freshly graduated PhD student moved to Sunset Valley from her rural, even smaller hometown, very determined on revolutionizing science with her new job at the Landgraab Industries Science Facility. Yet, years later, she settled on making just enough to buy her and her dear husband the best electronic entertainment their jobs could afford, and pursuing her dream of becoming a chessmaster. Even earlier than that, a doctor moved there from Moonlight Falls, wishing to modernize the town's medicine, and also, some would say, to hide from his huge (and lycanthropic) family. All he achieved, however, was getting himself in an unhappy marriage, bitter till the day the Grim Reaper took him. But Vita Alto's story was something else entirely.
Vita was long used to embracing the winds of change: natural to Monte Vista, she had moved to SimNation as soon as she reached Young Adulthood, getting a job there with the help of her family's connections. Since she was a kid, Vita wanted to get out of her family's heavy shadow, and finally shine on her own merit, even though she was smarter than denying some of their help. Many years, and many different towns and occupations, had come and gone by, so now the woman found herself in the peaceful Sunset Valley, for the latter's misfortune. Vita's ambition and unscrupulousness knew no limits, but we'll have plenty of time to see it for ourselves, even if most townspeople weren't able to see it in time . And, of course, there was a price to pay for it.
