Chapter 78 Water Problem

Before going under the waterfall, Ash decides to use the TMX to find some things in the other mountains. In Citrine Mountain, he finds Corey's Skuntank and Mareanie, as well as a Silver Key. Skuntank is at 1F while Mareanie is on 3F.

Ash: Now the only one left is the Crobat...

Ash's New Capture in Citrine Mountain: Skuntank, Mareanie (Event)

And in Celestine Mountain, Ash uses Waterfall to scale to the fourth floor, so that he can fish for a Feebas for Milotic.

Ash's New Capture in Celestine Mountain: Feebas (Fishing)

And the last is Ametrine Mountain, Ash shows a Sneasel Rock Smash in 1F, and then he also finds a Lapras in B2F swimming. And Ash both capture the Pokemon in the end.

Ash's New Capture in Ametrine Mountain: Lapras, Sneasel (Event)

Once he is done, Ash surfs down the waterfall, he can see the Reborn City, but he feels something strange about it, and it is just a blink in Ash's eyes.

Titania: Do you have any fucking idea how long I've been down here?

Ash turns to see Titania sitting at the sides, and she has been annoyed.

Titania: Because I sure don't. Welcome to the mousetrap. When I got down here, a group of Meteors had already taken Amaria. I'm almost surprised that Team Meteor is here, but then, sewers are commonplace for vermin. By that logic, maybe Florinia's brother is here too...

Ash: I hope not...

As they continue forward, Ash notices two dead bodies in front of them, much to his surprise.

Titania: As you can see, I've already dealt with the first group. Admittedly, I was a little mad, but I think I handled the situation... responsibly. Then they locked me in here. I've been stuck since. I did try questioning them. But that usually works better before they've already been killed. Pity. Anyway, that's where we're at. I don't suppose you happen to have a key to this place or anything. After all, I hear you have a habit of going through random objects that don't belong to you. Maybe that comes in handy sometimes.

Ash: I just found a Silver Key, but I don't think it is the key to this place...

Just then, two Meteor grunts walk into the room, and Titania already has Aegislash out.

Titania: Stepping into a room with me is the last dumb thing you'll ever do.

Grunt: A new arriving commander has appeared on site. We have been instructed to allow you access to the greater Treatment Center.

Ash: Why?

Grunt: I cannot answer that. I am merely following the instructions of the higher faith.

Titania: Fine, live by your orders. Die by them, too.

Ash widens his eyes to see Titania kill the grunt with Aegislash slashing his throat. The other grunt is horrified as he runs away.

Titania: So much for being stuck. So a new commander arrived at the same time you did. I'll spare us both the trouble in asking questions about that. (Notices the door) They left the door open. This is an obvious trap. And I'm not inclined to care just now.

After Titania leaves, Ash looks around to see four dead bodies, and he can only breathe.

Ash: I guess love gives her the will to kill...this is awful...

After getting out of the room, he finds Titania finishing killing another one.

Titania: Another down and one scampered off to the east exit. Like I said, vermin. (Recalls Aegislash) I'm not about to let my mistake spiral into a bigger mess. So anyone who gets in between me and Amaria is forfeiting their life. (Turns to Ash) You'll be helping, of course. Or that's going to be the excuse I use to try and justify relying on you right now. Believe me, I would like nothing more than to run through their entire team myself. But I can't do this alone. I only have Aegislash with me. And as much weight as it pulls, I've been down here too long to have the strength to fight them all myself. So I'll be asking for some favors from you. We can both resent me for it later.

Ash: Okay. So what should I do now?

Titania: (Notices a machine) Like that machine in the center of the room. It should control the water level. We're stuck unless we get to it, but I don't exactly trust my balance right now. So you're up, Ash.

Ash nods as he jumps over the rocks to the machine, and he presses it to make the water level lowered.

Titania: Right, that does it. I'm going on ahead.

After Titania leaves, Ash realizes that they are actually under the Reborn City, and this place must be where the water flows into the city, he thinks that maybe if he can find the source of the dirty water, like the PULSE Muk, maybe he can make Reborn's water back to normal.

Ash's New Capture in Water Treatment Center: Alolan Muk (Cave)

Right now he is in the North Obsidia Grid, and he walks east to the Central Obsidia Grid. Titania is now staring at the jumping rocks, and she takes a breath.

Titania: So I don't have a choice now anyway. If I fall, tell Amaria that I didn't blame her, much. (Jumps on the rocks) Okay, hold on. Time out. So much for feigning strength. (Turns to Ash) You wanna see if you can figure out which way to go? We might need to shift some stuff around, gross as it is.

Ash decides to turn off the water and move the rocks, and once it is done, he manages to get east to the Onyx Grid.

Titania: Tch. Not a whole lot of options here, is there. Let's do this.

As Titania jumps towards a lone standing spot, the water suddenly drains, and they find out the culprit is no other than Taka, Solaris' son.

Titania: What is it now?

Taka: Oh, no... The water level drops and leaves you stranded and apart... What ever will you do now?

Titania: Stick around and find out.

Taka: You know, I don't think I will.

Titania: So, you're the new commander those others mentioned?

Taka: I dunno if I'm much of a commander per se, but that's sort of what I'm doing down here I guess.

Titania: Uh huh. And what do you want?

Taka: Want? I'm just following orders.

Titania: That's what the other guy said. Didn't work out so hot for him. What do you accomplish by letting us in here in the first place? You could have just kept us locked in the landing and made off with Amaria and the Sapphire Bracelets already. But there's a reason you haven't. Tell me it.

Taka: So many questions and demands... Are you really in a place for that?

Titania: Stop avoiding the subject. Answer me.

Taka: Yeaaah, I don't think I will. I mean, why would I give that information to the people who are supposed to be my enemies?

Titania: Tch. Don't act like your precious little team is that good at keeping secrets anyway. I've been trading information with your grunts for months and misleading them every step of the way. I got a little more practice with lying than I'd like. But that's the thing about a group of people who are just using each other. They're easy to exploit. And you're no different.

Taka: I mean, whatever you say. At the end of the day, you're stuck over there now, and I have an operation to manage. So if it's cool, I'm gonna go do that. See ya. (Leaves)

Titania: And you just run away. Truly an upstanding agent. What a shame that Team Meteor does not have more men of your caliber. (Turns to Ash) Anyway, this is annoying. You wanna see if you can get me off of this? I'd appreciate it. Just a little bit.

Ash: Sure.

Ash has to battle some of the new world cultists that are guarding the water level, and after defeating him, he manages to raise the water level so Titania can go. After Titania manages to get to the other side, she also opens the door for Ash.

Titania: That was annoying. But... something is off about this. It's probably nothing though. Let's go. After you, scout.

Ash nods as they all head south to the Coral Grid, and they are also stopped by Team Meteor members and Taka.

Titania: Hmph. Ash, you remember I only have one Pokémon with me, right? I'll back you up, but you're gonna have to pull the weight here.

Ash nods as it is the first time they team up to the battle, and Titania is using a high-level Aegislash to battle. Both of them work together and defeat the cultists that are in the way.

Titania: Now you're defenseless, so get out of our way.

Titania kills one of the cultists and the other one is backed into the corner with a scared expression.

Taka: You know, battles are one thing, but I don't particularly appreciate you harming my colleagues.

Titania: And I don't particularly appreciate you taking my friend. Team Meteor will stop at nothing to achieve their goals. So why should I?

Taka: Look, I really can't defend some of the others' actions, all right? But do you see these guys hurting anyone? Do you see me killing anyone?

Titania: Release Amaria and then try that argument.

Taka: Yeaaah, I don't think that's gonna work out. But hey, she's in the Control Room if you wanna come and get her.

Titania: Believe me, I intend to. (Tries to jump on the rock to the other lone stand)

Taka: Now, now. Not so fast. (lowers the Water level again)

Titania: Again? Get some new tricks.

Taka: Tricks? I mean, call it whatever you want. But I'll let you figure the rest out. Ta-ta. (Leaves)

Titania: (Turns to Ash) He always act that way?

Ash: Yeah...

Titania: Anyway, here we are again. Looks like this is on you.

Ash sighs as he battles the grunt again and raises the water level, before that he also has to set the rocks so that Titania can go through and open the gate for him.

Titania: This is getting annoying... I think I overdid it. I'm gonna rest a minute. I'll catch up to you.

Ash sighs as he continues the path and gets back to Central Obsidia Grid, and after fixing some gates and puzzles, he arrives at the Opal Grid. There is a huge panel in front of them.

Titania: This should be the central turbine of the plant. At least, if I were going to shut down this place, I'd hit that. I'm assuming Team Meteor thought the same. Let's try and get to it and figure out what the problem is.

Ash: But why wouldn't the officials come down here to check out if they find out the water is dirty?

Titania: Then again, Meteor infiltrators could have radioed in false reports of proper maintenance. But that's just conjecture. (Looks around) Looks like there's two ways to go. You take the west. I'll see if I can get anywhere north.

Ash nods as they split up.

And here is the first part of the Water Treatment Center, Ash and Titania team up to find Amaria and maybe fixing the water problem. I hope you like this chapter and the next chapter might be the solution to the problem.
