"The Rabbit Hero, Miruko! Continues to impress!"

At first she was a blur on the screen, zipping by again and again. That being a statement to just how fast this incredible woman was able to be. Moving past buildings and civilians while moving in on yet another target. Who the target was really didn't matter, not when they had this incredibly strong heroine right on their doorstep.

She would drop them with one of her powerful kicks as she always did. Sending them down and getting them under arrest with so much tenacity and speed that many had to question how she wasn't even higher in the hero rankings. Might have had something to do with her overall personality and approach… The bunny is not exactly known for her grace when handling others.

"Miruko! You've racked up three arrests in one day and it isn't even dinner time at my house yet, how do you do it?"

"Sorry I don't have time for a talk. Gotta go!" The reporter tried to stop her but it wasn't like this was something that he was actually going to be able to do. Not when all she had to do was jump off the pavement below them to propel herself forward and through the sky. Leaving the man behind and in the dust as he just stared in awe at the heroine. Having to fix his glasses before moving his focus back to the camera.

"Forget her being an impressive female hero, I haven't seen many heroes with this kind of drive, period."

Then the scene would cut to one of Miruko's more competitive battles where she was pushed to the brink multiple times. This villain was known for having shoved off any of the heroes who had given it a go before she had. Of course the likes of Endeavor and All Might hadn't gotten there yet but that wasn't going to stop her. Not when she had legs so damn powerful.

In this particular encounter she was put through the ringer so much though, that she needed the sidekicks to evacuate the area. That all being a part of her plan so that it would just be the two of them and she could put her all into taking him down. Going to the limits of her power and unleashing her own Plus Ultra to bring the villain down and end all of this. Whenever she wanted to be, and it was most of the time, she was quite unstoppable.

However the same couldn't be said whenever she was asked to put herself in front of the camera and not just bail immediately. Though she might have had power that resembled All Might at times and the speed to get herself anywhere, she clearly didn't bother to develop her social skills. The most likely reason being that she just didn't care all that much about them, and that was evident by her outfit of choice. Being provocative as a female hero wasn't new but for one as dominant and threatening as her it was a new touch.

"Finally, I got you in for an interview. Always working so hard, Miruko."

"I hardly see it as work, I get to go around and take down a bunch of losers who have it coming!" The intensity that she was always so filled with almost seemed impossible to keep up. The grin on her face and those red, piercing eyes always present in every appearance she had. Even if there was blood all over her body or if she clearly had bruises and broken bones she would always push through. That kind of energy is motivating for more people than someone might expect.

"We've seen you do it many times! Including all the girls at home watching heroines like you. Do you have any words for them, specifically?"

"Sure! To come and take my spot you better be ready to spill that hard work and sweat,gals!"-

Kaiyo Akako, a candidate to become a first year at the prestigious UA, flicked off the TV special that had been made of her favorite hero. Miruko being just that by a landslide, her walls and shelves filled with merchandise of the heroine who she aimed to be just as powerful as. So, after dropping her remote on her bed she got ahold of her briefcase and looked at the contents inside. Taking a deep breath before closing it up and heading out the door.

Kaiyo found herself outside of the gate of the city where the mock battle was about to take place. It was… larger than she could have ever imagined, UA not wasting anytime in flaunting what they were capable of. Leaving this average girl from an average town a little stunned by what was in front of her. However as the others seemed to gather themselves she knew better than to let herself get too caught up in it.

Instead she would need to take the time to make sure she was as ready as she could be. Gripping onto her padded combat gloves, she made sure that they were tight and ready for a fight with these foe villains. Spreading her feet apart as she threw a few shadow punches and finished by stepping through an elbow strike. Feeling good in the clothes that she picked out for the event.

There wasn't anything special about what she was wearing, just clothing that she thought would be comfortable and support her. A loose, sleeveless top that had a tighter wrap like top under it, and a loose pair of shorts that reached down to her knees. All that accompanied with some long knee pads that went from her thighs down to her ankles where she had her sneakers on tight. Moving her hands through her dark, brown hair she rested her red eyes on the others that were also taking this time to just breathe.

However… as she did that she noticed a child amongst all of the other teenagers, or at least he looked like a child at a first glance. When she took a closer look she could tell that he was actually just real short, the shortest one amongst this crowd. And he was even shorter than she first thought once she noticed that his curly, purple hair gave him a few inches on top of his head. Kaiyo really wasn't one to judge or criticize another person but she did have to wonder what his quirk had to be for him to be waiting at this door like everyone else.

She was pulled from this observation of hers though as she overheard a commotion behind her. Oh… it was the blonde kid from the news. The one that survived that sludge villain long enough for the greatest hero of all, All Might, to intervene and save the day. Now that she got a better and up close look of him she noticed that they had the same eye color, and he had this edge to his look that stated that he meant business too.

"Right, let's start!"

In came the booming voice of pro hero, and teacher at UA, Present Mic to get all of this started. As soon as she heard him she could feel her body get goosebumps all over. Years of hard work was about to pay off right now, once he let all of them through the big door and let the mock battle begin. She didn't even need to hear the rest, she was ready.

"Get moving! There are no countdowns in real battles! Run, run, run listeners! You're wasting airtime here!"

The doors were already open and all of the possible students were already running over one another to get inside. Kaiyo branched off and ran down an alley as fast as she could so she could get away from the crowd and get right to work. If she was gonna get into UA she was going to need all the points she could get so there was no point in wasting time. Not when she only had ten minutes, especially.

She wasn't going to have to waste any time looking either as one of the one point robots was waiting for her on the next street over. Slamming one of its large arms down right at her, having its attack met by a block, her right forearm catching the blow as she stood her ground. Then as the robot swung its other arm at her she stepped out of the way, activated her quirk, and dashed ahead with incredible speed as she punched right through the head of her enemy. Kaiyo landed on her feet moments later as the robot was nothing but a mess of a wasted machine behind her.

Kaiyo's quirk, she calls it "Burst Strike", allows her to take in the output energy of anything she comes into contact with and store it if she wishes. Then once she's ready to unleash any amount of energy she can dash in any direction around her, the speed and power of the dash being totally dependent on the energy she decides to burn. So when she really wants to be, she can be quite powerful.

Before she would have the time to track down another robot, one was already on top of her again, this one the two point robot that struck her on the arms several times. Charging her up plenty before she unleashed another dash and put that one down as well. Then as she ran into a three pointer she learned that this particular robot was equipped with a pellet gun. However just like the other two once she was charged again it only took one powerful blow to take it down.

"At this rate just about anyone could get in here." Or at least, anyone with a quirk that could do just enough to take down these pathetic enemies. Now that her confidence was built up she tore through many more. Stacking up the points until she was sure that she had crossed the forty margin. It was around now that she noticed that her gloves were torn and tattered, and her knuckles had even taken a few bruises.

"Five minutes remaining!"

Her head jerked up as she heard the announcement, Kaiyo in the middle of clenching and unclenching her fists to make sure that they were fine and they appeared to be. At this rate she was sure that she was doing a fine job but there was no reason to stop now. If she pushed herself hard enough she might have even been able to finish near the top of the rankings. That would have to put her in one of the better hero courses, so she would not let herself stop now.

"Ah! Look out! Run!" Immediately her attention moved down the street she was on, noticing the small fry that she had seen before the mock battles started. He wasn't alone either, being chased by a one pointer who was in hot pursuit. To be honest she couldn't help but feel a bit of cringe, why had he even shown up to a place like this if he was just gonna do something like that? Regardless, she still had some energy built up so she bent her knees and prepared to take the robot down.

Then, before she could, she watched as the kid pulled… balls? From his hair, two of them to be exact and throw them down onto the large tire that the robot used to get around. They stuck right to the robot's tire, and as it rotated and the balls went under it the robot wobbled and clearly had trouble keeping its balance. But what was even more impressive was as the balls seemed to get struck in the cover over the tire the robot was sent crashing down, it's momentum causing too much damage and putting it down for the count.

"Huh..?" She had to give it to him, as he got up off the pavement and to his feet, for a little guy that little move was impressive. However as a three pointer now towered over him his fear was right back on his face, clearly ready to run for his life a second time. So now she was able to unleash her quirk unlike before. Throwing a punch right through the circuits of its head before catching her feet on the road below and coming to a stop, now she was only a few feet from the young man.

"Hey, are you alright?" She offered a smile to the young man, who really was only half her height as she too towered over him. If he actually could make it into UA and get past this exam she'd have to make sure to congratulate him whenever they crossed paths again. However, as some time passed all he was doing was… staring up at her in a bit of shock it appeared. It was flattering if he was that impressed with her display of power just now but she didn't want to waste too much time here. "Hello?"

"Sorry! I uh,I gotta go, miss!" There was… almost a tone of anger and regret mixed together as he ran away from her, likely moving on to get more points. Maybe due to his size he wasn't used to getting all that much attention from the opposite sex? Or it could be as simple as him being a little awkward around others in general. No matter the reason she was happy to do the same and get right back to collecting some points.

It was at that moment too, as she clenched her fist and prepared to fight another robot that she felt a tinge of pain in her knuckles. That last hit must have been a little too much now that her gloves were all but fashion accessories. However she was quick to swing up her forearm and absorb the blow from a two pointer, gritting her teeth as she dashed again and took it right down. After all she had done to get here she wasn't going to let a little bit of pain slow her down now.

"And that's time!"

By the time the announcement was over she felt pretty good about how she had done, well mentally she had anyway. Both of her hands were battered and bruised from all of that she had just put them through. But if she was really going to be a hero, and especially one like Miruko, she was going to have to suck it up and get used to it. Now she would just have to count her blessings, go home, and hope that once her test results came back that she got the answer she was hoping for.

In the meantime, while she waited for her test results, Kaiyo could take some time to herself in the confines of her room. Having just gotten out of the shower after being taken out to dinner with her parents. Happy to be back in her room and feeling fresh while she was able to focus on only the night ahead. Opening up her closet as she pulled out the wardrobe that she would always wear when it was time for some fun.

She got her black t-shirt on, one that cut off at her midriff, and slipped on her shorts and short skirt that was open around the front part of her right hip. The finishing touch being her knee high boots that complimented an already perfect outfit. Then once she had that on she made her way over to her desk and took a seat in front of her makeup. Applying some dark lipstick and some exaggerated eye shadow before taking her ram horn equipped headband and placing it on her head.

Now that her look was complete she looked in the mirror, and smiled as she looked the way she always did. Ready for her nightly stream that would soon be moved to twice a week once school started for her. She opened the app, Sociama, and opened up her profile before hitting the stream button. The all too familiar two minute countdown popping up while she got the phone locked into the tripod on her desk.

"3… 2… 1…" She took a deep breath before flashing a smile, "Hey everyone! Ariesirate is back and settled in for the night! I'm so happy to be home and done with the exam at UA." Once she was done with her intro she took a moment for those in chat to start talking back to her. By now she had gathered a good but still small following that got right to greeting her back. Some of the usernames looked a little familiar while others not being anything she resembled at all.

"Nope, Ferretgamer, I didn't get to see Midnight. I only really got to see Present Mic. Which was awesome of course! He was as full of energy as always!" Energy that she was lacking on a night where she used her quirk way more than she ever really had before. That also reminded her to not show her hands off during this stream either, both of them placed down on her thighs. The bruises would go away but she didn't want them to see how roughed up they actually were. After all, Ariesirate and Kaiyo weren't exactly the same.

While she gotta glamor herself up on these streams that she put on this was hardly how she usually was. She enjoyed getting to take the time out of her day to be more girly overall than she usually was, though, and appreciated this time with her online friends and fans. At first she didn't know exactly how to respond to all of those that talked to her in her chat but by now she had developed a good approach. Including ignoring some of the more perverted comments that were always pleading with her to do things that not even an X Rated Hero would be comfortable doing.

"Thank you, Honeybubble! I think I'm supposed to get the news anytime within the next week." As the night went on and she answered more and more questions about her time at the exam she couldn't but think about what school would be like there. Getting to be in the same halls and rooms as heroes that she had spent her teenage years admiring really could be a dream come true.

"Actually yes, I do think my scores had me ranking fairly high overall. I can't wait to climb even more too!" Hearing all of those stories of heroes coming from average backgrounds or worse had her hopes high that she too could achieve some special stuff with her own hero career. If she could put herself amongst the best that the school had to offer she would do it.

So after answering several more questions and spending way too much time reacting to some silly videos posted on Sociama she logged off for the night. Taking off her boots and downing a drink filled with electrolytes before crashing onto her back on the bed. Kaiyo had meant to flick something of worth onto the TV but she had drifted off to sleep before she even had the remote in hand. A figurine of Miruko watching over her from the tabletop beside the bed.

Just a few days later, while Kaiyo was watering the plants of their house outfront, she saw the mail get dropped off. Not wasting any time as she dug through the pile and saw it, the envelope with the red symbol with the school's initials right before her eyes. So she would risk getting in trouble with her parents as she ran inside and went right for the living room. Having access to the main TV of the house since both of her parents were out running the convenient store.

Ripping open the envelope she got the little projector right out, and in moments she had it connected to the big screen before standing right in front of it with the remote in hand. The video opens up on a showroom where in the middle stood, on a stool, the principle of UA. Honestly she wouldn't have been able to say if there was any kind of audio initially as she felt the adrenaline rush through her veins. Surely, surely, she had done enough at the exam to finally get her a spot at that prestigious school.

"Hello there! It's me, Nezu, the one who could be a dog or a mouse or a bear, but more importantly... I'm the principal!" From the earliest moments of her development as a child her parents made sure to have Kaiyo around all kinds of kids that had special appearances due to their quirks. Her father was sure to teach her to never judge someone solely based on the way that they looked, so her possible principal looking like this wasn't even something she thought about.

"And you, Kaiyo Akako, I am so happy to be the one to inform you that you will be attending UA this fall!" The sudden news got to Kaiyo, who had instinctively used her quirk to jump higher up as she jumped for joy hearing this news. Running right into her room and yanking the UA hat off of her desk and the figurine of Miruko before using her dash to leap over the couch and onto it, having gotten so excited that she hadn't considered that he might have had more to say. And apparently he did.

"...But enough about me, as you may know girls your age haven't had a hard time getting into UA in quite some time. However, it isn't often that we get one with the ferocity you've got!" She truly did look so ferocious, wearing a hat to this school that she was now a part of while she hugged the Miruko figurine close to her chest. A bit of sweat moving down her forehead from having taken energy from her own reserves out of all of the excitement. But the fact that her tenacity was already being recognized was something that she was happy about. Kaiyo would have to make sure to hit the ground running once she got to school.

"63 points overall was quite impressive! Especially when even 50 of those were out of combat. That ranks amongst the best of her class, so I'm sure many expect great things from you." Honestly she couldn't believe that she heard all of this. It was almost like she was right in one of her dreams where she got to shine amongst the rest of those in her class and be seen as some great hero. But now… she was going to have a chance to leave the dream behind and work everyday to really make that happen. Having to wipe the tears that had formed in her eyes from hearing all of this, noticing that there were still some marks on her knuckles.

'I'll leave on this, expect us to look into how you can better use your quirk so as not to tear up those hands of yours going forward. Yes, we saw that and no it isn't the end of the world. We look forward to seeing you at the start of the new school year!" How to better use her quirk… he must have made that his final note of reference so that it would be fresh on her mind going forward. Maybe there was a better way for her to use her quirk but if there was she didn't know what it would be.

Regardless, she took the hat off of her head and placed both it and Miruko on the table ahead, smiling at her role model. Now she was going to be able to use her own power to knock foes around silly just like the Rabbit Hero. Standing up she raised a fist up to her chest and looked it over. Sure, she might need to change how she fought but one thing that wasn't going to change was going to be her willingness to not give up on the fight ahead.
