Chapter 119 Undeletion
After leaving the gym arena, Ash is still trying to figure out how to save the others, and much to his surprise, Florinia suddenly appears in front of them.
Ash: Rini? Is that really you? How?
Florinia: Greetings.
Terra: (Also shocked) wwwwwwwwwwwwat OI, B0RING 4SS B1TCH, 1 G0T TW0 PROBLEMS W1TH YOU: NUMBAH 1: Y0U CAN'T JUST CL1P THR0UGH A F %#KING WALL L1KE THAT AND F$*KING BRE4K THE DAMN R00M ONLY TO BE L1K s. (Sees that Florinia already leaves) l4dy. l4dy, no, water u d0in'. hey, hey! crazy lady w1th a sh0vel! stahp.
Ash rushes to find that Florinia is trying to break through the wall by typing some sort of code from the computer.
Florinia: Please hold.
Terra: I W1LL N0T. I W0N'T EVEN H0LD MY 0WN ASSCHEEKS. RAAAAWWWWRRRRRRRR!
After that, they find that the terminal is accessed.
Terra: aite l4dy. idk h0w you g0t out the recycle b1n but y0u goin' r1ght back there, ya heard 1t? PREST0 COMPLET0, YOU 4RE DELET0!
Just then, Florinia is deleted again, much to Ash's surprise.
Terra: that wuz we1rd. ANYW4Y, WELC0ME, GRAND T0URNAMENT OF B00TY W1NNE-
But Florinia also gets back from deletion once more.
Ash: You could do that, Rini?
Terra: HAY. I S41D ST4Y DOR1T0. (Delete Florinia) HMpH. (Florinia reappears) wat.
Florinia: Please allow me to explain.
Terra: plz d0 tbh.
Florinia: First, a synopsis of the situation for Ash: This building numbers among one of the first structural experiments in digital architecture. Whereas traditional architecture can be likened to painting on a canvas, digital architecture is more similar to writing on a dry-erase board. State-of-the-art three-dimensional holograms comprise the entirety of the inside of the building, And tactile senses are created and maintained via high-precision localized changes in air pressure. In this way, a building can be remodeled or reorganized on effective impulse, not dissimilar to the concept of shouji in some eastern-style houses. In this way, a host is able to customize visual input per participant to ensure correct pathing among larger groups of individuals, Or, for instance, create and remove entrances at will. Control of visual data along with high-intensity air pressure was also sufficient to simulate what the aforementioned individual referred to as 'deletion'. In reality, no harm befalls the individual, but their capacity to move and speak is directly impeded by digital controls. Visual data can then be arbitrarily displayed to suggest the desired effect.
Ash: I'm not fully sure what you mean, but that means they are not exactly being deleted.
Terra: OK, SO Y0U F1GURED 0UT THE G1MMICK, BUT H0W D0ES THAT LET Y0U GET AR0UND 1T, HUH, PUNK?!
Florinia: Since the flow of air and data is ultimately digitally regulated, it can be influenced in a way not unlike any typical computer. As this speaker had begun to say after the conclusion of the last match, an application was made accessible to me through an emergency terminal. It was assumed to be by someone's design. After several attempts, I was able to install a program to the system. This program's function was to, after a certain amount of time has passed, reverse any signs of pseudo-deletion that might be applied to my person. In summary, no matter how much you attempt to pressurize or "delete" me, it will be automatically undone each time. I hope this is a sufficient explanation.
Terra: ...lawl. ya t4lk 4ll sm4rt-like 4nd stuff but YA K1NDA M1SSED AN IMPORTANT D3TA1L THERE, D4RL1N'. N0W TH4T I KN0W THAT PR0GRAM EX1STS, I CAN JUST FIND IT MYSELF. AND 1'LL DELETE 1T. AND TH3N 1'M G0ING T0 DELETE Y0U! OH MAI GAWWWWWWWWDDDDD!
Florinia: Be my guest.
Terra: KN0W1NG Y0U I BET Y0U PUT IT IN THE MOST BORING PLACE P0SSIBLE. LIKE C:/DOCUMENTS OR SOMETHING. (Finds the place and finds the program) 0H MY GOD, 1T's ACTUALLY THERE. lmao bye. (Delete Florinia) borin'-ass, pla1n-ass, obvi0us-ass, th1nkin'-1-w0n't-l00k-there-ass, (Florinia reappears) m0th3rFUCK3R, WH4T.
Florinia: In addition to a program to counteract pseudo-deletion, a second program has been written to restore the first, should it cease function.
Ash: So matter Terra tries to delete the program, it will be back after a few seconds...
Terra: (Angry) y0u b1zn1tch, y0u actually wr0te an ent1re virus, d1dn't y0u.
Florinia: Not incorrect.
Terra: wh3n the fffffuq.
Florinia: I was not idle during the time I was pretending to still be incapacitated.
Terra: a1te. i'mma be re4l wit' you. y0u get 2 not-boring points for th4t. BUT TH4T's 1T. brb gonna f1nd these and chew thr0ugh 'em like candy. 0M N0M N0M N0M.
Florinia: I will be requiring your assistance shortly. Presently I'm constructing an avatar for her based on her foreign data. When it is complete, I will need you t- (Deleted)
Terra: B4M M0THERFAXER, 1S TH4T TH3 BEST Y0U G0T?! 1'M TELLIN' YOU, KID, I'M W0RR1ED- YEA, I'M FUCKIN' TERRIFIED- OF H0W TH1S B1TCH SAVES HER P0RN. prolly on deskt0p in a f0lder called 'do n0t 0pen'. TH1S SH1T M0RE PRED1CTABLE THAN A 1200 EL0 LADDER PLAYER. (Florinia reappears) S0N0F4M0TH3RFUCK1NGB1D00F'SBUTTH0LE.
Florinia: It would appear your search was uncomprehensive.
Terra: IT W0ULD APP3AR Y0UR MOM WAS UNCOMPREHENS1VE. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH kbrb
Florinia: Next, I'll duplicate the protection applied to this individual for you, rendering you immune to pseudo-deletion. This will only take a moment. (Tries to delete Terra, but failed)
Terra: WH4DDUP, GUESS WH0's BACK 4GA1N?! (h1nt: 1t's me) I'LL 4DM1T Y0U HAD A H1D1NG PLAC3 THAT SURPR1SED ME, BUT Y0U FORGOT TO CONS1DER THE P0WER OF THE ALLUVER!
Florinia: If you say so.
Terra: ALLUVER DEEZ NUT- wa1t, n0, you were- that's n0t how th1s works... y0u were supp0sed to say, "wh4t's alluver" and 1'd be like- FAQ IT, JUST DELETIFY! RAWWWWWRRRRRRRRR! (Delete Florinia again) an' see, 1'mma learn r1te hurr. 1'mma wa1t t0 make any snarky c0mments 't1ll after she doesn't c0me back. (Waiting, and Florinia not returning) B00m, EZ like c1el. (Florinia reappears again) C1EL, N0.
Florinia: Objective nearly complete. Beginning avatar deployment.
After typing more codes, Ash is surprised to see that Terra is now back into her human form again.
Terra: wat. (Looks at her body) OSH1T, I'M A R34L G1RL N0W.
Florinia: The successful outcome of this trial indicates that you must have been a 'real girl' previously as well.
Terra: OH SWEETCAKES, I CAN JACK 0FF AGAIN!
Florinia: While the credibility of that statement best remains untested, that is not the purpose for which this avatar has been created.
Terra: AND THERE'S EV3N A C0UCH HERE. gurrrrrrllll, u aite.
Florinia: (Turns to Ash) Ash, you will need to distract her while I make the final adjustments to the system. It is critical that you maintain her attention.
Ash: Okay, Rini.
Terra: UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH BETTER 1DEA! HOWZAB0UT I JUST DELETE THEM INSTEAD! KA-BLAMM1E! (Tries to delete the whole building, but the building reappears) M-MASAKA!
Florinia: The protection applied to this individual has already been extended to include Ash. Pseudo-deletion will remain an ineffective strategy in this scenario.
Terra: NANI?! you even sh4red that with Ash...? t-to th1nk you tw0 have g0ne that far already...
Florinia: Ash, if you are prepared.
Terra: HELLZ 2 THe NAWH A1N'T N0 ONE READY. I M4Y N0T BE ABLE TO DELETE YOU... BUT WH4T WILL Y0U DO... WHEN I DELETE Y0UR FONTS!
Just then, Terra is challenging Ash to a battle, and for some reason, Ash can't talk and he can't command his Pokemon to battle for him. It is just like when he's in some sort of Pokemon Game and all the fonts just disappear. But Ash trusts his Pokemon, and he has Hawlucha destroy the Excadrill even though they don't know what kind of move Hawlucha or Excadrill is using, and then the next Pokemon is Quagsire, and it defeats Hawlucha. So Ash goes for Sylveon, having it use Energy Ball to knock the Pokemon out, even though Terra might not know what move that is.
The third Pokemon is Porygon Z, and Ash can see that Terra is using a Normal Type Z Move, and he can guess it is Z-Conversion to raise all the stats, and Sylveon is defeated by some sort of Psychic move. Ash goes for Lycanroc next, using Rock Slide to defeat the Porygon-Z. The fourth Pokemon is Chansey, and it seems to be using a Psychic Type move to defeat Lycanroc, so Ash goes for Primarina next, and it gets hit by some sort of Electric move, but Primarina defeats the Chansey with Sparkling Aria. The fifth Pokemon is Garchomp, and Primarina also defeats the Pokemon with Ice Beam, even though Ash can tell that he might be using Earthquake on Primarina. And the final Pokemon is Donphan, and Primarina also defeats the Pokemon with the Hyper Voice.
After defeating Terra, Ash can only see her shocked expression, but he can't hear what she's saying, the first thing that he hears is Florinia's voice.
Florinia: Aural data restored. That was ample time, Ash. You have my gratitude.
Terra: (Frowns)... Hey, is this... really what you meant to happen?
Now Ash is surprised to hear Terra talking normally since for some reason she would talk something dirty or roar like a lion.
Florinia: Correct.
Terra: Back when you were setting all this up... It seemed fun, but this is really what you had in mind for me?
Florinia: This was the expected outcome.
Terra: 01, BISH, SHADDUP! I know you won't respond.
Ash: Wait, you're talking to me?
Florinia: This speaker thinks that this individual is breaking the fourth wall.
Terra: You don't even smile. Neither does the other one. You used to laugh so much... Hey, Could it be that you're still laughing, out wherever you are? Or did you stop, and that's why this is happening...? I really hope, even if it was just a tiny bit...that I was able to make your game better. So... Don't forget me, okay?
Ash and Florinia are surprised to see Terra delete herself.
Florinia: My configuration would have annulled her digital controls and frozen her avatar, but not removed her outright. And given that, unlike us, she was a solely digitized entity, it is a genuine deletion. This outcome was not foreseen. Nevertheless, her determination that I would take only the most predictable actions led to her undoing. It is true that I deliberately placed several relevant files in locations that would have led her to that conclusion, But a separate program randomized the locations of other components. In conclusion, she failed to account for the randomness she seemed to treasure so much. (Typing more codes) The next process has been completed. I have created a direct route for you to exit this place. In the meantime, I will remain here and restore the capacity of the other tournament participants from pseudo-deletion. They will surely catch up to you as they are able, but it may take additional time for me to route passages forward for those who lost in the earlier rounds. The remainder of Team Meteor can only have escaped north into Victory Road. I suspect I do not need to instruct you on the procedure from here on out. Remain as vigilant and effective as you always have. Farewell. And... Good luck.
Ash: Thanks, Rini.
Just then, Serena, Lillie, and even Delia rush into the room, and they are happy to see Ash and Florinia.
Serena: Ash! You're safe!
Ash: Where did you guys come from?
Lillie: We were worried since the door disappeared, we were scared that something might happen to you and the others.
Ash: Well, something did happen to others, but I guess Rini is here to fix the problem. Anyway, I got the final badge. That means I can just go through the Elite Four, right?
Delia: That's right. And congratulations, Ash. Although Adrienn had told me already.
Serena: So after this door is Victory Road, right? Does that mean Team Meteor is there?
Ash: I guess so. We'll stop them together.
Then Delia returns to the Grand Hall as Ash, Serena, and Lillie are now walking towards Victory Road, hoping to find Team Meteor and stop them.
And this is the end of the Labradorra City chapter, starting the next chapter will be Victory Road. Team Meteor is still on the lose, what is going to happen after they get there? I hope you like this chpater.
