Sonny jumps to his feet. "Davis, what are ya doin here?"

"Maybe if you had returned a phone call or text, I wouldn't have had to fly all the way to Texas." Lisa responds.

"Did somethin happen?" Sonny asks, worried.

"Blackburn told us you took emergency family leave." Lisa hesitates. "I was worried. Everyone is worried." Sonny sinks back on the couch. "We all thought it was your Dad." Lisa turns and looks at Emmet who is standing at the entry way to the living room. "But clearly he is fine."

"Can, uh, come sit." Sonny looks at the spot next to him.

Lisa sits next to him. "Is LeAnne okay?"

"She's sleepin upstairs." Sonny takes Lisa's hand in his. "Hannah, um, she's dead."

"Sonny, what?" Lisa exclaims. "What do you mean she's dead?"

"She was hit by a drunk driver on her way home from the bar four days ago." Sonny tells her. "She'd been a coma since."

"Oh Sonny." Lisa squeezes his hand. "You said she's dead?"

"Uh yeah." Sonny nods. "Her parents withdraw support earlier this evenin."

She sees him fighting to hold back the tears. "You're safe with me." She wraps her arms around his neck, and she feels him release the sob he had been holding in.

After a couple of minutes Sonny pulls back from her. "Sorry, I..."

"Don't you dare apologize for being a human with feelings Sonny." Lisa strokes his cheek.

Sonny glances up, looking for his dad. Who he finds leaning against the door frame. "Let's go for a walk." He whispers to Lisa. "Ya got LeAnne for a while?"

"Yeah, no problem." Emmet nods.

Sonny grabs a flashlight before they walk out the front door. After they walk in silence for a while Sonny stops in a clearing in the tree stumps were in a circle. "Lisa really, ya didn't need to come."

"Sonny." Lisa sits down on one of the stumps. "You shouldn't have to go through this alone."

"I got my dad." Sonny sits on the stump next to her.

"I know you two are in a much better place than before, but I feel like you still feel like you need to manage him." Lisa says softly.

"Damn Davis, just go blowin the roof off this little hut I have built."

"I'm sorry." Lisa rubs her hand across his back. For several minutes the only sound between them was the wind rustling the trees. "Remember when I told you just because we ended doesn't mean I stopped loving you?"

"Yeah, I remember that." Sonny tilts his head to the side. "What are ya tryin say."

"That I still care so much about you." Lisa tells him.

"I appreciate that Lisa, but I'm a big boy."

"Can you please shut up and accept my help." Lisa shakes her head. "I swear you can be so thick headed sometimes."

"How ya really feel over there." Sonny chuckles.

"Listen, I was trying to be nice and tell you that I love you and I am here to support you, but you went all typical Sonny Quinn not listening to what I was trying to tell him."

Sonny narrows his eyes at her. "Shit."

"Uh-huh." Lisa smirks.

Sonny turns so he is facing her. "I'm sorry. I have been a mess since I got the call from my Dad. Ya know how, when ya know what is gonna happen, but ya keep hopin that it don't turn out that way."

"I do." Lisa nods.

Sonny runs his hand down his face. "That's what I kept hopin with Hannah. I knew she wasn't gonna make it, but somewhere in the back of my head I kept hopin she was gonna be okay."

"I want to be able to tell you something so profound to help you feel better, but all I'm coming up with is that suck Sonny."

"I'll tell ya what Davis, that bout sums it up." Sonny rests his hand on her knee. "It's good to see ya. It's nice to not have to put on any kind show or brave face."

"And that's why I'm here." Lisa smiles. "I wanted to be here to support you, whatever you need."

"Thank ya." Sonny pauses. "I haven't told ya how much Hannah's parents hate me, have I?"

Lisa shakes her head no. "You haven't, that bad?"

"Uh yeah." Sonny chuckles. "They never liked me back in the day, always thought I was trouble. They never understood what Hannah saw in all those years ago. From what she told me they were pretty damn happy when I joined up, figured I couldn't drag her down anymore. Then ya know, I blew back into town and got her pregnant and then blew right back out of her life."

"Ah, the Sonny Quinn charm." Lisa laughs.

"Damn hateful." Sonny points at her.

"How have they been through all of this?" Lisa asks.

"Her Dad has just been glarin at me every time I see him." Sonny shakes his head. "He thinks I'm a dead beat that got his daughter pregnant. I don't think he believes that I'm gonna take care of LeAnne."

"Are they going to try for custody?" Lisa sees him shake his head no.

"They can't physically take care of her." Sonny tells her. "They had her one night and um, from what Emmet said, it didn't go well." Sonny lets out a breath. "Hell, not that Emmet is much better."

"I feel bad asking this, but do you have any kind of plan yet?" Lisa asks.

Sonny lets out a frustrated huff. "Not past getting her back to Bob Beach. I don't know what I'm gonna do bout operatin. Where I'm gonna live. Shit Lisa, I ain't got no idea what I'm gonna do."

Lisa takes Sonny's hands in his. "I'm here for you. And the team is here for you. You know we will do anything to help you and LeAnne make it through this."

"That means a lot Lisa, it really does."
