I have a request for anyone interested. I won't tell you why or when they could potentially appear; however, I am currently looking for OC's. At this time, I could see two potential characters, one introduced and one not introduced, to fulfill the roles. That won't be enough. To be more specific, I am looking for first year students. Anyone interested can review in their character or pm me. Worst comes to worst, I'll just implement my own.
Shield Residence: Sunday, Early Morning…
David was asleep on the couch. The apartment did only have two rooms, and he refused to uproot his children the week he was here. Unfortunately, he and Melissa, who would hear it from her room, would not be asleep for long.
Someone knocked on the door causing David's eyes to slowly open. Melissa sleepily came out of her room and moved to the door as he sat up. She eventually made it to the door and opened it to see who was this insistent early in the morning.
"Oh, good morning, Melissa." Tenya greeted as she opened the door. "Is Goku also up?"
"Eh… what are… huh?" Melissa groggily responded unable to immediately figure out why her brother's friend was here.
"Today is Sunday. The day we planned on going to that amusement park." Tenya informed. "He didn't forget, did he?"
Melissa loved her brother, but she was suddenly feeling a little frustrated. The girl walked away from the door without a word and entered the kitchen. David had a good idea what she was doing but decided to let it happen as he moved to the front door.
"Oh, you must be Goku's father." Tenya stated a bit surprised. "I believe Goku did mention you would be around."
"Yes, I am." David was certainly tired, but he was more aware considering he's had years of late nights, not to mention two children who'd wake him up in the morning, meaning he could deal with mornings better than his daughter. "You must be Tenya Iida, right?"
"That's right sir." Tenya responded.
"I overheard something about your plans with my son and the amusement park." Goku had told them he'd been invited and would be going with three classmates. "My question is why are you here before the sun is even out?"
Melissa left the kitchen carrying a large glass filled with water and ice as she slowly made her way to Goku's room.
"The park opens at exactly 8:00 AM." Tenya explained. "I knew it would take a while to gather all of us together, so I elected that this would be the best time to get everyone. This way, we could be at the entrance to the park when they open and give everyone a chance to wake.
Suddenly, Goku yelled out and Melissa shuffled out of his room. "He's awake." She yawned. "I'm going back to bed."
"Gah, what was that for Melissa!?" Goku questioned as he stepped out of his room, fully wake, only for his sister to close her door in his face. "What did I…" He stopped when he noticed Tenya at the door with his father. "Tenya?"
This resulted in Iida reiterating everything he's already said to David. Once he was done, it explained why he was dosed with ice cold water. Normally, Goku was already up training, but Sundays were his rest days. He also kind of spaced the amusement park.
"Just give me a little time to get changed." Goku responded. "I'll also call Momo and Fumikage, so that they can know to expect us if they aren't already."
Tokoyami Residence
Goku and Tenya walked together as the sky was just beginning to brighten up. As the two got onto the train, Tenya told Goku that Fumikage was the next person they were getting since he lived closer to Goku than Momo did.
They then conversated about whatever until the train stopped at the station they needed to get off at. They approached their bird headed classmate's home only to find Fumikage tossing a bag of trash into his family's trash can.
"Seems as though you've been awake for a while." Tenya stated.
"Come to think of it, he certainly sounded more awake than Momo when I called." Goku commented.
"My being awake aside, I'm slightly confounded considering how early in the day it is." Fumikage stated.
"Goku mentioned the same; however, for everyone to be mostly awake, as well as give us the most time possible at the amusement park, I figured this would be the most optimal time to gather the four of us." Tenya told him.
"Do most amusement parks open this early?" Tokoyami asked.
"No, but most have long lines at the entrances once they do open." Iida answered. "It's best to arrive 30 minutes to an hour beforehand, so you don't have to wait to enter the park."
"Aren't we doing that anyway when the park isn't opened yet?" Goku questioned.
"We'll be near or at the front of the line." Tenya replied. "Much more favorable than at the back."
With that discussion out of the way, Fumikage had them wait outside while he got himself ready. Once he returned to the entrance of his house, he was properly dressed and had his ticket on him. The three of them left and went on their way to their next destination.
Streets
While they were on their way to Momo's, after exiting the train, Goku decided to talk with Tokoyami. "So, how's it been since school?"
The bird headed boy looked at Goku. "It's been relatively normal."
"That's good." Goku replied.
"Indeed." Fumikage agreed.
"If you don't mind me asking, what is your normal?" The fighter asked.
"My normal?" Tokoyami repeated.
"Everyone has a different kind of normal, right?" Goku pointed out. "Not everyone is the same."
"A fair assessment." Fumikage noted. "Though I am unsure as to why you wish to know what my normal is."
"Well, I consider everyone in class to be my friend on some level, so I like to take any opportunity I get to know more about you guys." Goku stated.
Tokoyami pondered over that statement for a bit before responding. "I suppose, and even if we weren't, it would still be beneficial for you to know me seeing as we're classmates."
Goku smiled. "Alright, what do you usually do at this time?"
"A rather bold start." Fumikage commented. "Aside from eating breakfast, I sometimes read or listen to things related to darkness."
"That's makes sense given what I do know about you." Goku smiled. "For me, aside from Sundays, I'm usually up early training. While I can't use my Quirk in public, it doesn't mean I can't work up a good sweat or practice my martial arts."
"I see." Fumikage nodded. "You are dedicated to training, but that makes sense considering how strong you are compared to most students in our year."
"Yeah, I'd say I'm dedicated." Goku smiled. "Honestly, training is easy to me. Not in that training isn't hard work. Training is just fun, and I've always been a sponge with anything related to it. Comparatively, school work is hard."
"School work is hard?" Fumikage questioned confused. "You're the third best academically."
"I owe a lot of my success to my father, sister, and drive to succeed." Goku responded. "My family gave me all the tips and tricks I'd ever need while my drive pushes me to do my best. That alone was enough to put me as the top of my classes back in middle school.
Ultimately, I don't begrudge Momo or Tenya for beating me since they're simply smarter. I'm pretty sure with the practical side, I'd need to be knocked down to 5th or 6th academically to lose my spot at the top of the year."
"Given how far ahead you are in practical aspects, I'd say 8th minimum." Tokoyami commented. "Saying that, it speaks volumes of your strength. Compared to you, I have a long road ahead of me."
"Thanks, but you and your Quirk are strong too." Goku pointed out. "Even when against your weakness, you can occasionally power through all that light in your face. Like you, my goal is one long road to. That's why we're all at U.A. We'll get better and become great Heroes."
"Correct." Tokoyami agreed.
He was seeming to warm up to Goku now as he has a small smile on his face.
Yaoyorozu Residence
"We're here!" Iida announced causing them to focus on him. "The Yaoyorozu gate."
The three boys were standing before a gate surrounded on both sides by a brick wall which encompassed the whole estate.
"This must remind you of home, huh Goku?" Fumikage questioned.
"Nope." Goku smiled. "Here and on I-Island we live in a rather nice apartment. Nothing like a penthouse, but we had a great view." He shrugged. "Hey, more power to the people that do live like this."
Tenya pressed the button on a microphone located to the left of the gate.
A commanding male voice came out of the box. "Only Goku Shield is to come collect my daughter. I want to see and have words with you in person."
Tenya and Fumikage looked at Goku questioningly while their friend merely smiled as the gate opened. "Alright, I'll be back with Momo."
He left the pair there.
"It would appear the rumors of those two having confessed their feelings may just be true." Iida commented once Goku was gone.
"That would make sense considering whoever is on the other end only requested Goku." Fumikage stated.
Goku walked up to the front door of the mansion and knocked. It opened showing Momo nervously standing behind a tall man with well-defined muscles and medium length, dark red hair.
His attire consisted of a tight black shirt underneath a long blue trench coat, matching trousers with a black leather belt, and brown boots. He looked a little familiar, yet Goku didn't quite know where from.
"So, you're Goku Shield." The man stated.
"Yep." Goku smiled. "You must be Momo's father."
"I'm Silver Yaoyorozu." The man stated.
"Silver Yaoyorozu…" It dawned on Goku. "Wait, you're the Rank 6 Hero, Knight. No wonder Momo got a recommendation with a father like you. I should have pieced together you were her father."
"Hm." Silver stared at Goku intensely, yet he never wavered with that smile on his face making the man sigh. "Normally, I don't like to be controlling in my daughter's life; however, I draw the line at being uninvolved when she develops feelings for someone.
After doing my research on you, I can tell you're a good guy with a bright future. Given what my daughter has told me about you, you're not the type to take advantage of her. There's just one thing you must do before I approve."
"What's that?" Goku asked.
Silver produced an official form that would allow him to fight Goku; however, it required three signatures and detailed rules to ensure the former's safety. The signatures required were the Hero in question, Goku's parent/guardian, and his Hero school; in this case U.A.
"I get to fight a pro!" Goku exclaimed happily as he took the form.
He normally reigned in his battle tendencies in favor of his heroic side, but this form was all about the fight.
"Momo, why didn't you have that talk with me earlier?" Goku questioned the girl who was now confused. "I'll get this signed by my dad tonight, and U.A. tomorrow."
Silver was just as confused by Goku's reaction as his daughter, but he quickly masked it. "I could say that you only have until tomorrow to get this form back to me, in some form, but I'll give you a week.
Until then, you can continue to see my daughter which does include me allowing you to take her to the amusement park today. Fail to get this back to me, and I will forbid any form of relationship from continuing between you two."
"I can't think of a hard task at the moment, but even if you were to give me such a task, I'd do it." Goku folded up the form and tucked it away on his person. "Aside from being excited for this fight, I certainly wouldn't want to lose my connection to Momo."
Before the conversation could continue, Momo stepped past her father. "So, this means we can go, right?"
"Yes, you can." Silver softened as he addressed his daughter. "Go have some fun."
"Thank dad." Momo tapped Goku rather quickly. "Come on, let's go meet up with Tokoyami and Tenya."
"Oh, right." Goku stated as he followed her.
"I'm sorry about my father, Goku." Once they were away from him, Momo visibly relaxed. "I wish my mother had been here instead, but…"
"You don't have to apologize." Goku smiled. "Like I said, even if he gave a harder task, I'd still do it. After all, I want to be able to freely spend time with you."
"You're really okay with this?" Momo asked stunned.
"You should know by now I don't say anything without meaning it." Goku smiled. "Your father doesn't expect me to beat him, right?"
"No, he just wants to know that you're capable." Momo replied.
"There you go." Goku retorted. "You and I both know I'm capable, so this will be no problem." He tapped her shoulder. "For now, let's not worry about it and enjoy the day."
"In that case… I simply can't wait." Momo stated as she became rather 'bouncy' and excited. "Oh, today is going to be so much fun with all my classmates, and your counted among our group of four."
Momo continued to speak excitedly about how the day making Goku smile. "This is still a fun side to her."
The pair eventually rejoined Tenya and Fumikage.
"Alright, we're good to go." Goku stated.
"Hm, you were gone an awfully long-time getting Momo." Fumikage commented. "Was everything alright?"
"Everything was fine." Goku smiled. "Momo's father just wanted to meet me."
"I see." Iida commented. "Well, with all of us together, it's time to make our way to the amusement park."
"Yes, let's go right away." Momo declared energetically.
Such a drastic difference in her personality still shocked Tenya and Fumikage. Regardless, the group set off for the amusement park, Zoo Dreamland.
Zoo Dreamland
The four students got off the train and walked to the amusement park which would be opening in 45 minutes. While there were people waiting outside, as Iida predicted, there weren't as many as there could have been if they showed up later.
They waited together in the line with Fumikage looking at what he could see in the park from where he was standing outside of it. Tenya patiently waited but was admittedly a little excited to do something like this with his classmates.
Compared to Momo, he might as well be the calmest person on the planet. Time seemed to breeze by as the gates were unlocked, and the line began to move forward. Once the group were in the front of the line, they presented their tickets and were allowed inside.
When the four of them entered the park, it was a sight to behold. There were multiple rides ranging from a carousel to a Ferris wheel. There were also many different themed zones and stands, ranging from simple food to gift shops, to visit.
Iida decided that the first thing the four of them would do was go to one of the gift shops and pick a set of animal ears to wear. That was an idea Momo got behind whole heartedly. Tenya picked a set of rabbit ears while Momo chose bear ears.
She helped Tokoyami pick monkey ears for him to wear, and he questioned why there were even doing this. Goku looked around for a second and ultimately decided to take a set of lion ears. The four of them each paid for their sets and went on their way to explore the park.
"Perfect weather for a day at the theme park!" Tenya declared. "Don't you agree, Yaoyorozu? Shield? Tokoyami?"
"Are the ears really necessary?" Fumikage questioned.
"Of course, they're necessary." Momo declared. "Embracing the park's theme is sure to make the experience more delightful!"
"I agree." Tenya added. "We became 'wild' inhabitants of Zoo Dreamland the moment we stepped through those gates. Besides, just look at the families who've come today. They are also enjoying the headbands."
Tokoyami decided to just accept that reasoning. "If that's how it is…"
"Don't worry about it." Goku patted his back. "After all, you've never been to an amusement park before, so just think of this as the three of us giving you the full experience."
Fumikage better accepted that answer than the prior ones. From there, Tenya pulled out a map and attempted to figure out a plan on how to hit every ride before the day ended. Goku pointed out they had the whole day to enjoy the park, so the group could take their time.
"I read on one of the posters, on the way inside, that there was this apple pie that could only be found in this park." The bird headed boy stated.
"Then, we can head there first." Iida declared.
It took a minute to figure out where the stand that sold the pies was, but after some trekking in the Forest Zone, they found 'Forest Sweets'. It was an apple themed shop that sold the pie as well as other fruit related foods. Tenya, Momo, and Fumikage got a slice and a drink.
Goku got three whole pies and the largest beverage they had to wash them down. Yaoyorozu ate hers slowly due to having already eaten a little over an hour ago, Goku naturally scarfed his down, and Tenya and Tokoyami ate at a regular pace.
Fumikage began to eat slightly faster when he realized how good the pie was. "Mm. Good."
"Indeed." Tenya agreed. "The cinnamon brings out the apples' sweetness while preserving the refreshing acidity, and the pie crust meshes perfectly with the apple's softened texture. Delicious!"
"Yes, it is an enjoyable treat." Momo commented before smiling at Goku. "Seems to me our class rep is enjoying it more than any of us."
"I like good food." Goku retorted happily. "This is good food."
"I have to say Tokoyami, I had no idea you loved apples so much." Iida commented.
"People claim that the nutrition found in a single apple, if eaten daily, is enough to eliminate visits to the doctor." Fumikage told them.
"You're talking about the saying, 'an apple a day keeps the doctor away'." Momo realized.
"Yes." Tokoyami confirmed. "Plus, that perfect combination of sweet and tart. They can even be preserved for long periods of time. Truly, there is no fruit more perfect than the apple." Tenya nodded to that. "But you prefer oranges, don't you Iida?"
"Not exactly." Tenya replied. "More like their juice is gasoline for me, so I never pass up a chance to drink some."
"Orange juice is your fuel for your leg engines?" Goku asked.
"Yes, it also helps that said juice is very healthy." Tenya added. "Enough about that. Seeing as everyone is finished eating, are there any rides that have caught anyone's interest?"
"Not particularly." Tokoyami responded.
"I was more focused on my food, so I didn't think of one." Goku added.
"I know just the one we should go on first!" Momo exclaimed as she was handed the map.
After some more walking, the group arrived at an oasis themed teacup ride.
"What am I looking at?" Tokoyami questioned.
"Oasis Teatime." Momo answered. "The first essential stop during any visit to the park, and there's no line meaning this is the perfect opportunity."
"This is a wonderful choice!" Tenya exclaimed.
They raced for a cup while the other two followed.
"Considering how excited they are, I'd say this was probably their favorite ride as a kids." Goku commented.
The four of them entered a single cup together, and Fumikage noticed the disk-shaped handle in the middle. "What does this handle do?"
"The faster we spin this; the faster the entire teacup rotates." Iida explained.
"Is that something we want?" Tokoyami asked.
"Most certainly!" Momo declared as the operator got the ride started.
Once the ride began, everyone noticed their teacup was beginning to spin faster than the others. Three out of the four students didn't understand why until they saw that Fumikage was rotating the disk in the center with all his strength.
Iida gripped the side of the teacups tightly. "T-Tokoyami?! What are you doing!?"
"The goal of the ride is to spin the teacup, so I'd say we're winning!" The bird headed boy stated as he continued to spin with all his strength.
"Whoa, this is great!" Momo exclaimed.
"Agreed" Goku cheered before he began to rotate it with him. "Let me help!"
"WHAT!?" Iida and Momo exclaimed.
Momo liked fast, but this was starting to be too much even for her. Both her and Iida held on for dear life as their other classmates began rotating the ride at insane speeds. Fumikage was roaring, Goku cheered, and the last two screamed.
Lucky for everyone involved, they had strong enough stomachs to keep their pies and juices inside until the ride finally finished. Goku had to help all three of his classmates off the ride once it was over because they were too dizzy to do so themselves.
The three dizzy students sat on a bench before Iida finally managed to say, "Spinning the teacups…wasn't a competition…It's just for if you want to go faster."
"Ugh…you should have spoken up sooner." Tokoyami retorted.
Momo held her hand over her mouth and frantically looked for somewhere to throw up. Goku had seen that before with his sister, so he immediately helped her up to find somewhere she could do that at.
"We'll be back guys!" Goku exclaimed before speeding off with her.
After about ten minutes of aimless wandering, Goku found a restroom for Momo to utilize. After waiting another ten, she stepped out feeling much better.
"Thank you, Goku." Momo voiced.
"No problem." Goku stated. "Come on, let's…
Someone interrupted him. "Hello?"
It came from behind them, and when the pair looked there, they didn't see anyone. This confused them until Goku felt a small tug on his pant leg which caused him to look down and see who it was. It was a little girl wearing a set of giraffe ears.
"Oh…hi?" Momo replied confused.
"What do you need, miss?" Goku politely asked.
"Um…m-my name is Yuka." She introduced herself. "Have you seen my mommy?"
"Huh?" Goku replied. "You can't find your mom?"
"We ran into a lost child." Momo realized.
"I'm not lost!" Yuka yelled. "I just…don't see my mommy right now… and you two are taller than me…Maybe you can see her?"
"Well, what does she look like?" Goku asked.
"S-She looks like me but bigger." Yuka told them.
Goku and Momo looked at everyone who was close, but nobody seemed to match her description
"We can't see her right now." Momo stated gently.
"Y-You can't?" Yuka state clearly beginning to worry.
"Hey, it's okay." Goku crouched down to her level with a smile. "We won't leave you until you find your mommy, ok?" He looked to Momo. "Let's group up with the others and see what we can figure out to help her."
"That's not a bad idea but shouldn't we stay around here if we want to find Yuka's mother?" Momo questioned.
"Y-You said that you can't see my mommy right now." Yuka spoke up. "If you can't see her here, then maybe you can see her somewhere else."
Goku and Momo looked from each other to Yuka.
"Hey, Yuka." Momo spoke up. "We're going to find some of our friends and see if they can help us find your mommy."
"But we don't want you to be by yourself." Goku added. "Is it okay if you come with us so we know you are okay?"
The girl was still stressed, but she was willing to trust them. "O-Okay."
She held their hands, and the pair retraced their steps to rejoin their classmates. When they did, Yuka seemed to hold their hands a bit tighter which caught their attention. They couldn't ask her what was wrong though because Tenya spotted them and wanted to know why they have a girl.
After some explanation, they were caught up, and Tenya summarized the situation. "So, you discovered a lost child named Yuka?"
"I'm not lost!" Yuka yelled. "Big girls in kindergarten don't get lost!"
"That's right Yuka, you're not lost." Goku gently reassured the girl. "Your just unsure where your mommy is and simply need help finding her."
"Right, she's literally a lost child." Fumikage pointed out to her which caused Yuka to hide behind Goku.
"Hey, what's wrong Yuka?" Goku asked concerned.
"B-Birds are scary." She replied. "One time, one ate my bread and bit me."
"It's alright Yuka." Goku gently brought her out from behind him. "You don't need to be scared because this bird here is my friend. While he may look scary, he's actually really nice."
"Yeah, and he only looks like that because of his Quirk." Momo added.
"His Quirk?" Yuka repeated.
"Tokoyami here is an absolute gentleman." Tenya assured her. "You have nothing to fear."
"But…" Yuka started to speak before stopping.
"Psychological scars don't heal easily." Fumikage sighed. "Anyhow, her mother is probably worried about her."
"Indeed." Iida agreed. "We ought to bring her to their designated meeting spot at once as that might resolve everything." He then crouched to the girl's level. "Now Yuka, where were you supposed to meet your mother in case you ever got lost?"
"In front of the apple!" Yuka answered.
"The apple?" Fumikage repeated. "Near where they sold those apple pies maybe? There was an actual apple there."
"Yes, there were most assuredly apple decorations near Forest Sweets." Tenya confirmed. "We should head back there."
"Well, Momo gave you back the map, so lead the way." Goku suggested.
Yuka held his hand and walked with him while moving to the side furthest from Tokoyami. While Goku was a bit saddened that she was afraid of his friend, he didn't push it and decided to just let her be. She was already stressed enough.
As the five were making their way to Forest Sweets, realized Momo something. "I hope nobody assumes we're kidnappers."
"Why would they, Yaoyorozu?" Iida questioned.
"Well, four older people with a little girl makes for a pretty weird group." She pointed out.
"If they catch you, I'll just tell the truth, so don't worry." Yuka told them.
"Thanks Yuka." Momo replied feeling better about the situation they're in.
"I mean, I've seen weirder groups do normal stuff like this often." Goku remarked. "Heck, you could say that some Pro Hero groups are weird looking, but then you see them in action."
"Mr. Pointy Hair right." Yuka stated. "I saw some Heroes on TV that look weird, but they're really cool."
"Here I thought that nickname stopped with Bakugo." Goku stated with a smile.
While he liked who Bakugo was becoming, a small part of him did miss that part of his rival.
"What does that make me Yuka?" Momo inquired.
"You're Ms. Star." Yuka answered.
"Must be what your ponytail reminds her of." Goku commented.
Tenya saw what was happening and smiled at the two of them. "You both are wonderful with children. It seems you're both approachable on some level which is an essential quality for any good Hero."
"Must be." Momo agreed.
"I try to be." Goku responded.
"What does approachable mean, Mr. Glasses?" Yuka wondered.
"It simply means that someone is friendly and easy to talk to." Tenya happily replied.
"Well, Mr. Pointy Hair and Ms. Star were nice to me, and it wasn't too hard to talk to them." Yuka noted.
"Exactly, so that means they're approachable." Iida explained.
"Approachable." Yuka repeated. "Am I…approachable?"
"Of course." Goku answered. "You're very nice to us, and it isn't hard to talk to you either."
She perked up at that response. "Thanks, Mr. Pointy Hair."
Goku just gave her a warm smile as they kept moving on.
After some backtracking, the five of them reached Forest Sweets.
"Is this where your mother told you to find her, Yuka?" Tenya asked.
"No, not here." She answered before stretching her arms out as far as she could. "A way bigger apple, like thiiiiis big."
Fumikage turned to Iida. "Do you know of any larger apples around here?"
Iida began looking through the map. "I frequented Zoo Dreamland as a child, but I don't recall any giant apples. Also, nothing on the map hints at anything like this."
"Maybe they forgot to update the map." Goku reasoned.
"No, these maps get updated daily." Momo stated. "I've been here enough times to know that much."
"A-Am I never going to see my mommy again?" Yuka asked as tears were starting to form in her eyes.
"Don't say that Yuka." Goku assured. "Of course, you'll see your mom again."
"B-But you said you can't find the giant apple." She pointed out.
"We never said we couldn't find it." Goku reiterated. "We just said we can't see it on the map."
"But it's here somewhere." Yuka was barely holding back from crying. "I saw mommy point at it before we went to get snacks."
"I'm sure it's somewhere." Goku assured her. "It's just somewhere that we can't see right now." He then realized something. "And we can't see much ahead of or in front of us this low to the ground."
"Then, why don't we get to higher ground?" Momo suggested.
"There aren't any hilltop areas in this park that would elevate us enough." Tokoyami responded.
"It doesn't need to be a hilltop, nor does it even need to be actual ground." Momo explained. "We just need a place that'll let us see more of the park."
"An excellent idea!" Tenya agreed. "But where can we find such a vantage point?"
"Wasn't there a huge Ferris Wheel near the middle of the park?" Goku questioned.
"That's perfect!" Iida exclaimed. "It's not even that far. We could be on within minutes and scan the entire park from inside the pod."
"Another one that spins." Fumikage noted. "First the cups, then that weird carousel that Tenya took me to, and now this."
"At least it's slow spinning." Yaoyorozu remarked.
Goku, still comforting Yuka, spoke to her again. "It'll be okay, Yuka. I promise you'll see see your mom again, okay?"
She wiped her eyes and sniffed a bit. "Okay."
She took his hand, and the group walked to the Ferris Wheel together. Just like Iida said, the group was on the ride within minutes. Once they were on, they wasted no time.
"Yuka, take a good look and try to find your meeting spot." Tenya requested.
"Okay." She responded as she looked through the window.
As the pod rose, all five of them kept their eyes glued to the window looking for something, anything, that even looked like a giant apple.
"Some sort of eyesight Quirk would come in real handy right now." Momo commented as she looked through binoculars she created. "Some are just better than binoculars."
"Whoa, were did you get those from?" Yuka wondered.
"It's my Quirk, Creation." Momo responded. "It lets me create anything if I know what it's made of."
"Cool." Yuka awwed before looking dejected. "I don't have my Quirk yet."
"It'll come soon." Goku reassured her. "And I bet it'll be even cooler than any of mine."
"Really?" She replied. "You have multiple Quirks, Mr. Pointy Hair?"
"Honestly, I'm not even sure." Goku admitted. "My body is enhanced, but that could be because of my energy. Hm, maybe it's all been a Quirk awakening. My energy simply strengthen and can be projected resulting in that transformation I had." He noticed Yuka was looking at his in confusion which made him chuckle. "I mean… I'm just not sure."
With that said, they went back to looking out the window to maybe spot her meeting point.
"I can't see it." Yuka stated.
As they were going back down, Goku began to think out loud. "If we can't see it from here, then this definitely got harder but not impossible."
"How so?" Tokoyami questioned.
"Well, if we think about it, that means this giant apple is being blocked off by something bigger than it." Goku explained. "There's a few big buildings around the park that are tall enough to cover some of the other rides even at that height."
"So, we've narrowed it down to places that are close to ground level." Iida reasoned as he looked through the map. "But every spot that isn't within view already is covered on the map, and none of them show…"
"We already know that this big apple isn't shown on the map, Tenya." Goku interrupted. "But most stuff that isn't a ride, shop, or restaurant also aren't shown on the map. So, we can't outright say it isn't there without at least looking first."
"I suppose that is true." Iida agreed. "Very well. We can move from closest to furthest and check every area until we find this giant apple!"
As the five of them continued their search, some of them started asking other employees about it, yet even they couldn't help.
Eventually, Goku looked at the girl. "Hey Yuka, have you seen any apples?"
"She can barely see above our legs, Goku." Tenya pointed out.
"I can see some apples, but they're not big enough." Yuka replied to Goku.
The students looked at her when she said that.
"You can see some apples right now?" Goku questioned.
Tenya looked around. "Weird, I don't see any."
"Where are they?" Momo asked.
Yuka pointed towards where she saw them, and when they looked, everyone saw what she meant. There was a person selling red balloons at a stand nearby. Everyone immediately caught onto what this meant.
"No wonder we were having trouble finding this giant apple." Goku spoke up. "We didn't know what she thought was and wasn't an apple."
"And now we have that information!" Tenya announced. "We may simply be looking for a round, red object!"
"Don't forget that it's big." The fighter added.
"Big, round, and red." Momo listed. "Have we seen anything like that?"
Tokoyami suddenly remembered something. "We have; this way."
He quickly moved to the Forest Zone.
"Eh?" Yuka responded as she watched him go.
"Wait up Tokoyami!" Goku called out as he took one of Yuka's hands. "Come on, Yuka. Let's follow him."
They followed the bird headed boy through the Forest Zone and up to a red, spherical sculpture. There they all saw an anxious mother who looked very much like the little girl.
Goku let go of her hands and let her run to her mother. "Mommy!"
The mother dropped to her knees and embraced her daughter. "Oh Yuka! Where were you? You scared me half to death."
Yuka then told her mother about how the four students went out of their way to help find her way here. After Tenya and Goku did a more thorough explanation of what happened, the mother ended up showering them with appreciation and apologies.
"We only did what was right ma'am." Fumikage told her. "There is no need to thank us."
"No getting lost again, okay Yuka?" Momo requested.
"Take care and have fun with you mom." Goku told her.
"Say thank you to the nice people, Yuka." Her mother instructed.
"Thanks!" She called out before ending up running towards them. "Oh, Mister Bird!"
Tokoyami, who was a bit surprised, responded, "What is it?"
"Um…" She began. "Sorry for getting scared of you. You're way bigger than that other, bitey bird, so I thought you were going to eat me with that big beak."
Fumikage put a calm smile on his face. "You've no cause to worry about that because my favorite food is apples."
"Speaking of apples…" Momo chimed in. "That pie place is close by. How about we celebrate a successful family reunion with another slice?"
"Oh, this time I'm getting five pies!" Goku declared.
"I wouldn't mind having a second portion of that pie." Tokoyami agreed.
"I could go for a bite myself." Iida stated. "Very well. We can do just that."
The four students looked back at Yuka and her mother to see them waving. They waved back as they walked off to Forest Sweets to continue their day at the park. Once the students got to their destination, they each got more pie as well as some other food to have as lunch.
"Still just as delicious." Fumikage stated.
Tenya then suddenly remembered something. "Ah, have you all written your letters yet?"
"I have a rough draft I plan on refining tonight before bed." Momo responded.
"Mine's done." Goku declared.
"Mine as well." Tenya retorted. "This is basically a golden opportunity to tell our families how much we appreciate them. Why, I've already penned 40 pages worth of gratitude."
"While I'm happy you had so much to say, it might not be time conducive." Goku stated. "There are twenty of us who have to present after all."
"I see your point." Iida rubbed his chin. "I suppose my 40 pages would eat into everyone else's time, so I'll need to make my thoughts more concise!"
As this conversation was happening, multiple security staff were rushing by.
"Wonder what's going on." Goku pondered aloud.
Then, there were multiple crashing sounds and a few screams. Realizing something was wrong, the students ran to where the security staff were. The group found out that the source was the haunted house attraction which was now surrounded by security.
Get back! Get back people!" One of the staff ordered.
"I think my baby is still in there!" A familiar female voice was heard. "Yuka didn't make it out!"
That's Yuka's mother!" Tenya realized as the group made their way over to her.
The mother turned to them. "Oh, it's you four…"
"What is happening?" Momo questioned. "Is Yuka okay?"
The mother was on the verge of tears. "The two of us were walking through the haunted house before Yuka disappeared. Then, the monster dolls, t-they…" Another crash. "Oh no! YUKA!"
There wasn't an answer, and she began pleading with the staff to let her through.
"Just wait here ma'am." A staff member requested. "We're trying to…"
Another crash was heard, but this time something could be seen hovering around the entrance to the building. It was one of those dolls that the mother was talking about, and it seemed to be wreaking havoc inside.
"What is going on?" Momo questioned.
The staff members, though terrified at what they're seeing, resumed holding the perimeter.
"D-Do not approach the attraction people!" One of them instructed. "And ma'am, we've called in a Hero to deal with the situation, so please be patient."
"But my daughter!" She exclaimed starting to have a meltdown.
Goku did his best to keep her calm. Still, she was right to be worried. This park is a good distance away from the closest town, and there weren't any Hero agencies that were closer, so it would take a while for a Pro to show up.
"We will find your daughter, ma'am." Goku declared firmly. "Don't worry."
"Not so fast, representative." Tokoyami voiced. "How do you plan on finding her?"
"By venturing inside." Goku responded.
"We'd have to push through security to do that." Momo reminded him.
"Not necessarily." Tenya started walking. "Just follow me, and I think I can get us in."
After pushing through the crowd for a bit, the group managed to get to the rear of the house.
Tenya began swiftly searching for something. "My brother once discovered a hidden passage. It was right around…aha! Here we are!" He pointed at a small window in the space of the back wall. "By my brother's honor, I swear that I never once exploited this secret!
I only came upon it by accident once when I tripped and fell inside." He began to fidget with the window. "If ever there were a time that such a thing could prove useful, it's now." He opened it. "Just like that, we're in."
"Alright, let's move everyone." Goku declared.
He was the first one in followed by Tenya, Momo, and Fumikage. It took a moment for the four of them to realize that the house was very dark. Once their eyes adjusted to the darkness, the destruction was obvious.
Props and decorations were scattered everywhere. The four of them could also hear the pitter patter of several little things, and the destruction of anything close to said pitter patter echoed throughout the house.
"I was under the impression haunted houses have actual people in costumes as part of the attraction." Goku spoke up.
"No." Iida explained. "This particular haunted house is meant for children, so the ghosts and monsters are all animatronic. Still, we did see that one at the entrance."
"If they're animatronics, then why would one appear at the entrance?" Momo questioned. "Based on everyone's expressions, that wasn't supposed to happen."
"A mystery that can be solved later." Tokoyami spoke up. "First, we need to find the girl."
"Right." Goku agreed.
"SHAAAAAAAAA!" A doll declared as it dropped from the ceiling.
It almost latched onto Tenya, but Goku intercepted the doll before slamming it into the ground hard enough that it shattered.
"SHAAAAAAA!"
"KAAAAAAAA!"
"NGAAAAAAAA!"
Multiple dolls, puppets, and animatronics suddenly sprang to life before making their way towards the group.
"Looks like I made its friends mad." Goku commented.
"Dark Shadow!" Tokoyami summoned his Quirk.
"HAAAAA!" Dark Shadow roared as it began to tear through puppets.
"That evens the odds a bit." Goku stated as he moved to take out some puppets.
Once the possessed things inside the light were dealt with, Dark Shadow moved towards the ones in the darkness.
As he did, he grew in size and power. "More… need more prey!"
"Wait, Dark Shadow!" Fumikage ordered.
The Quirk refused to follow his commands as it ruthlessly continued its assault. Goku was in the middle of fighting some puppets, but then Dark Shadow blitzed towards him. The class rep deftly dodged as the Quirk literally ripped apart the puppets like a feral animal.
By the time Dark Shadow was done with its destruction, the room looked like a mass murderer had just been there. To be frank, that wasn't an exaggeration considering what Tokoyami's Quirk just did.
"Huh, he's like a pet that tears apart furniture." Goku commented.
He then had to dodge as Dark Shadow lunged itself at him. "PET!?"
"Whoa, he did not like me calling him that." Goku stated as he continued to dodge.
"Hold on, I got this Goku." Momo produced a flash bang and threw it. "Everyone, cover your eyes!"
All the students adverted their eyes as the flashbang went off blinding and reducing Dark Shadow. "KYAAA!"
"Thanks Momo." Goku smiled. "I wasn't certain my spheres would have generated enough light, and most of my remaining arsenal is a little too destruction." The thought of a flashbang did give him an impression though. "Oh, that could be interesting."
"Glad I gave you an idea Goku." Momo created a large flashlight. "Now, we could probably use this."
She turned it on making Iida smile. "This should make finding Yuka easier."
"Too much light…" Dark Shadow whined.
"Endure it, you." Tokoyami ordered.
"Where are you Yuka?" Goku called out. "If you're there, give us a sign!"
There was no response, and that was unsettling.
"I do not like the silence." Tenya commented.
"Maybe she managed to flee outside the haunted house and got lost in the park again." Momo reasoned.
"She's here." Dark Shadow retorted.
"You sure?" Fumikage asked.
"She's scared." The Quirk explained. "Hiding in the dark."
"Can you sense where she is?" Tokoyami questioned.
"This way." Dark Shadow stated.
He guided them through the now silent halls until they reached a well. In front of the well there were a set of familiar giraffe ears.
"Wasn't Yuka wearing those earlier?" Iida remembered.
"She's in the well." Dark Shadow informed.
The students looked inside, but her body wasn't there.
"Maybe her Quirk manifested?" Fumikage guessed.
"Yuka's you mean?" Tenya questioned.
"Yes." The bird boy answered. "Maybe she can enter the dark and control objects inside that same darkness. That would explain her disappearance, and the destruction."
"That could be it." Momo replied. "If that's true, how do we get her out of it?"
Tenya tried something. "Hey Yuka, you'll be just fine! Come out now!"
There was no response.
"If she just got her Quirk, I don't think she knows how to control it." Goku pointed out. "Poor girl is probably terrified."
"Allow me to try something." Tokoyami looked in the well and spoke once more. "Calm yourself. Pacify your soul and become aware of your own consciousness. Then, emerge from the darkness."
"Tokoyami, I think you have the right idea but wrong execution." Goku stated. "We're dealing with a little girl, so keep it simple. Guide her to you."
Fumikage thought about what to do for a moment before he stuck his hand inside the well. "Yuka, take my hand."
At first, nothing happened. Then a small, faded, and ghostly hand emerged from inside the well reaching out from the darkness. It felt its way around the area until it managed to find Tokoyami's hand and grasp it. The bird boy gripped the hand and pulled.
Yuka came out of the darkness. "Mister Bird."
"You'll be okay now." Fumikage assured her.
The other three rejoiced at their success before Iida spoke up. "Your mother is worried sick about you! We must show her that you're alright!" Yuka shook her head. "Why not?"
"Mommy got so scared, and I did too." She was about to cry. "I hate the dark when I'm alone."
"The darkness of this place revealed your true nature." Tokoyami retorted. "That is neither something to fear nor feel ashamed about."
"Maybe a little too wordy." Goku commented.
Fumikage then tried to reiterate what he said. "What I meant to say is… is…"
Dark Shadow stepped in. "The dark is your friend!"
"Dark Shadow!" The bird boy scolded his Quirk knowing her fear of birds.
"Who's…that?" Yuka asked a bit scared but curious.
"This happens to be my Quirk." Tokoyami told her which made the girl approach it. "You're not scared of it, Yuka?"
"Not if it's your friend." She answered. "I'm not scared of you anymore either, Mister Bird."
Fumikage, as well as the other students, smiled. "Glad to hear it."
"Friends… I made friends!" Yuka began to cheer.
"Come on everyone." Goku started walking prompting the others to follow. "Let's reunite Yuka with her mother."
Yuka took Fumikage's hand as they walked. As the five exited through the front, the Hero that was called in had just arrived. Goku was able to explain the situation before they once again reunited Yuka with her mother.
"I don't know what to say." The mother told them. "This makes it twice now you four have rescued my, Yuka. Please, allow me to repay you."
"That won't be necessary." Goku smiled. "As U.A. students, and aspiring Heroes, we did what we had to do."
After the mother heard that, she placed her hands on her daughter's shoulders. "These wonderful students are your future Heroes, Yuka."
"Thanks again!" She bowed before immediately running up to Fumikage.
"What's the matter?" The bird boy wondered.
Yuka was blushing. "You're a Prince Charming, Mister Bird. I love you!"
Tokoyami's lower beak dropped which made Goku laugh. "Talk about a confession."
Momo covered her mouth. "Oh my."
"Is that how you feel Yuka?" Iida began to lecture her. "It's a bit early for romance though. Once you're all grown up, you'll first need permission from your parents to date. Of course, you might want to ask Tokoyami's parents as well."
Goku only laughed more at that.
"Okay, I'm going to remember all that." She promised as she and her mother walked off. "Bye bye, Mister Bird!"
Goku tapped Iida's shoulder with a huge grin. "Tenya, where are your manners?"
"Huh?" Iida was confused.
"Is that any way to address royalty?" Goku question making everyone look at him. "Our classmate is to be addressed as 'The Bird Prince of The Dark, Tokoyami'!"
Fumikage tensed up, while Iida and Momo both covered their mouths trying not to burst into laughter.
"Goku…stop." The bird boy grunted.
"Apologies, your majesty." Goku bowed. "I only wished you the highest respect." He kept the act on. "Especially in front of the princess."
Tenya and Momo couldn't hold it back, and they both burst out laughing while Tokoyami was most likely blushing out of embarrassment.
Shield Residence: Evening…
Goku led Momo into his family's apartment, and they found David watching TV in the living room. "Hey, I'm home!"
"Hey Goku." David stood as he noticed his guest. "Ah, I take it this is Momo?"
"Yes, I am sir." Momo respectfully bowed her head. "It's an honor to meet you."
"Well, you're a polite one." David chuckled good naturedly. "I can just tell from how Goku talks about you that you make him happy."
"I do?" Momo slightly blushed at that.
"That's a real miracle." Melissa commented as she stepped out of her room with a smile of her own. "Honestly, I wasn't certain anything was ever going to happen for Goku. That's coming from the person that encouraged you to make a move."
"Well, you're not wrong." Goku shrugged. "I was hopelessly lost whenever either of you talked relationships, I still kind of am, and Momo confused me." He looked at Momo. "Now, I feel quite happy and far less confused."
"Anyways, would you care to join us for dinner, Momo?" David asked. "I'd certainly like the chance to know more than my children have told me about you."
"That would be lovely." Momo stated. "Just let me phone father and see if it's alright with him."
She left to do just that; however, those words served to remind Goku about the paper he'd gotten earlier that day. "Oh yeah, dad I was hoping you could sign this paper I got shortly after meeting Momo's father."
He retrieved and unfolded the paper before passing it to his father. "This would allow you to fight the Rank 6 Pro Hero, Knight, under U.A. supervision." David hummed at that. "That is an opportunity, but why did he give you this?"
"He seems to like every other aspect of me, but he said he wouldn't approve unless I prove my strength." Goku replied.
"You know, I'm not all that surprised something like this happened." Melissa shrugged. "It almost sounds natural that you'd find a partner with a dad who wants to fight you."
"Well, I see no problem with this since he is going through proper channels and isn't just out to simply beat you down." David added his name to the needed signatures. "Plus, fighting a Pro will be a great way to gauge where you are now."
He gave the paper back to Goku. Not long after, Momo returned telling them her father gave his permission. They all eventually sat down to dinner where David and Melissa got to know Momo. Conversation just flowed after that.
When she eventually needed to head home, Goku went with her to ensure she made it. They parted ways at her family's gate after a hug. When he finally made it back home, and was laying down to sleep, Goku smiled. This had been one great day.
Considering I was throwing in a lot of extra content here, I decided to only dedicate a chapter to each extra thing I wanted to cover. Last chapter was the Jump Fiesta OVA, this chapter and the next will come from School Brief's I, this is the amusement park and the next will be Parent's Day, and the chapter after next will cover the second OVA, Training of the Dead. That said, I am uncertain about covering anymore School Brief content.
Anyways, I do want to iterate that School Brief is considered soft canon, so I took that liberty to change around Momo's parents. Silver Yaoyoruzu here is this world's version of Colonel Silver from OG Dragon Ball. He basically has a different personality depending what version, different translation, you see of OG Dragon. As for his Quirk, that will be revealed during the Final Exams. In case you didn't catch on, my intention is to make Silver, Knight, Goku and his partner's opponent.
Monster King: Yep.
Guest: Well, by the end of OG Goku is 19 years old, and Raditz appears after 5 years of peace. Considering Goku is 15 currently within this story, that's nine years until Raditz appears.
AnimeFan13579: Thank you. As for the weighted bracelets, you have given me an idea on something I can have happen before the Two Heroes movie.
