Sorry for the wait. I needed some time to think of what to write. Also, just because I started publishing chapters on my other story Holiday Trolls, doesn't mean I haven't forgotten this story. I will not stop until this story is complete.

Chapter 5: The 1700's

When British Soldiers came to the Thirteen Colonies, they passed out unfair taxes. But for the Musical's, the taxes for them were much worst. Musical's had to pay higher than Normal's. Great Britain passed the Musical Act of 1767, which taxed musical instruments and sheet music. The Musical's agreed with the Normal's to be free from Great Britain and their taxes. The Elders were sent to the Constitutional Convention. The Continental Congress thought if they could help them since they led their tribe and were loved by them. When Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence, which was adopted on July 4, 1776, he didn't say that all women, slaves, and Musical's are equal. The Elders were furious that the Founding Fathers didn't mention them. They were also upset that most of them are slave owners. In the Revolutionary War, they defeat the British thanks to the Musical's. The Articles of Congress printed money called Continentals, but farmers, merchants, and Country's wouldn't accept the currency. They knew that the Articles government didn't have the power to collect taxes. So, nobody trusted its dollars. So, Alexander Hamilton set up a national bank. Unlike continentals, the new dollars were backed up with true economic power. It was basically the government borrowing money from the people and paying it back, with interest, which was called public credit. However, Anti-federalists weren't happy about the federal power expansion. In the first presidential election in 1789, George Washington became the first president of the United States. Nobody ran against him, not even during his second term. Even the Musical's including the Elders loved him. When he died in 1799, the Elders were sad about his death, he was really a true leader, just like them.

I just love American history. As you can see, in the 1700s, the Normal's and Musical's worked together to defeat the British. But that doesn't mean that some of the Normal's see Musical's as their friends. And you'll see that in the next chapter of the 1800s. Please Review.
