A/N Thanks again for the reviews on chapter 2- they've encouraged me to keep writing this.

Just to the Guest Reviewer who said that there was no chance that Rory's Dad would be unknown to the Huntzburgers consider this- Lorelai and Christopher were unmarried when Rory was born and despite her coming-out ball in 2:06, during the attack in 'But I'm a Gilmore' (5:19) her father isn't mentioned during the attack so I made it so they didn't know. In cannon, Straub was a Lawyer but when his grandfather died Christopher inherited a lot of money- so I just created the business Hayden Enterprises (money has to come from somewhere) and just to stick it to Mitchum if they own a chunk of HPG stock…. Well, we'll see what happens.

However, this will be eventual- this chapter is a little more fluffy and romantic- Rogan all the way and the proposal...what Rory IMO would love and say yes to. Enjoy!

Chapter 3

Rory was in the quad outside the dining hall, as usual waiting in line for the good coffee cart when she felt him before she saw him. Logan's arms came around her waist in a comforting embrace 'hey there Ace' she spun in his arms 'why do you insist on surprising me…' he just smirked and leant down to kiss her passionately. 'God I missed you Ace, and because baby I can do it, and it's fun. How's your coffee level? Can you hold off whilst I take you to dinner- it's five-thirty?' It was her turn to laugh at him as she assented, leaving her place in the queue in favor of following her boyfriend to her apartment so she could change.

Leaving thirty minutes later she climbed into Logan's SUV with him and chatted about San Francisco, and their discussion about her nightmare three nights previous. 'Any idea what you want to do there babe?' he asked quietly 'I'm leaning towards getting a Master's actually- but I can be flexible on that- I'm factoring you into this Logan. Not getting the Reston...it's thrown me a bit. I'm just focused on graduating right now. I'll see what pops up.' He smiled at that. 'Well, here we are our favorite Ibiza.' As they entered the Tapas restaurant, the dark walls and low lighting made the atmosphere very closed in and romantic. They sat at a corner booth, barely letting go of each other's hands. Close flirty touches as they ordered and ate. They drank some of the wine but Logan focused on the water they served claiming when she questioned it- 'I'm driving tonight babe'.

At seven-thirty Logan guided Rory back to the SUV. Colin and Finn were standing there leaning against it with smirks on their faces. Rory smiled when she saw them 'what's going on?' Logan smiled and produced a silken blindfold 'In Omnia Paratus Ace' shaking her head Rory assented to having the blindfold put on and Logan guided her into the SUV back seat not letting go of her waist and kissing her temple when he put her seat belt on. Finn then started the car and drove off.

Logan was starting to panic internally as the boys kept Rory entertained with stories of their antics; she'd barely seen them since their graduation a year previously. Colin was making random turns and just driving around the area around Yale to throw Rory off where they were going. After about thirty minutes the car stopped and he guided Rory out of the car with his boys saying goodbye to them momentarily as Finn grabbed his camera from the back of the car. Rory allowed Logan to guide her and they entered the now empty Sterling Memorial Library. He pulled her behind one of the half-level bookshelves and pulled the blindfold off. Rory was stunned 'Logan...what are we doing here?'

'Well, Ace it's one of your favorite places on campus right?' Rory nodded 'well I remember when I was an idiotic junior and you were a kindly sophomore you brought someone here, a girl from your high school…' Rory looked at him 'her name was Anna' he nodded 'and you said something about me being not as cute as Pushkin' again she nodded 'I cannot believe that you remember that'.

He took a deep breath 'for some reason that annoyed me...I'd already started to fall for you Ace- that day when you said 'you jump I jump jack' at the life and death brigade gathering when we jumped I started to fall for you, not that I did anything about it...but I digress. That's when Colin, Finn, and I came up with that prank on your professor's class' Rory just smiled 'yes Professor Bell' Logan smirked 'then you called me, what was it again…' Rory finished for him 'Butt-faced Miscreant' Logan nodded 'yes you called me that and for the first time I saw you as different. I was having to work for your attention and I was getting it in the worst way possible. But you followed my prank with the best prank that I have ever encountered I mean Richard...well it's funny in hindsight, to the idiotic twenty-three-year-old me that was the worst thing on the planet, the idea of getting married. Now, you Rory Gilmore are the best thing that has ever happened to me. You make me better, I'm a mess without you, and you make me so incredibly happy and I want nothing more than to spend the rest of my life trying to make you as happy as you make me simply by being mine. So….' he took the royal blue velvet box out of his pocket opening it and holding it in front of Rory, who covered her mouth with her fingers as she gasped and took in the beautiful diamond and sapphire ring. 'Rory Gilmore, will you do me the absolute honor of marrying me?'

She stood and she stared at him and then stared at the sapphire and diamond three stone ring. She realized why he picked it: the center sapphire was the color of her eyes, oval in shape, flanked by two beautifully cut round diamonds, set on a platinum band. She looked at him and tears flowed down her cheeks. His deep brown eyes pleading silently and she nodded the word 'yes' coming out like a breath. She was scared for a second but then she considered- Logan was her home, he understood her in a way that her mother couldn't anymore, and his questions about whether it was Lorelai's dream to be a foreign correspondent or her dream rang in her ears. He was right.

Then she wasn't scared. She had him and as he pulled her into a hug she knew that she made the right choice. She wanted him. He was it. She would never be able to watch as he married another woman as she had almost seen him do in her nightmare. Logan pushed back and placed the ring on her left hand. It was a perfect fit. He then kissed her passionately. When they both needed air she then noticed the shutter sounds that were coming from Finn who was happily snapping away with his camera while Colin stood guard over him. It was the perfect proposal.
