On Today's Episode: The battle with Metalhead continues, only now, Mat has apparently been spy-napped by Metalhead's goon squad, and chaos is still flooding The Groove. The spies are going to have one heck of a time trying to put all these pieces together, especially when a piece of Metalhead's past is revealed. Could this piece be the reason that Metalhead is so intent on taking revenge on other musicians?
Act 2: I Like My Weapons How I Like My Music
The spies were slightly taken aback by the current circumstances of Carmen being in the neighborhood; there was also a chance Gabby and Stella were back, too.
"We gotta put that on the afterburner for the time being," Haruka commented.
"There's really nowhere for you to run, by the way, so why don't you just do us all a favor and surrender, just to make it easy on yourself?" Nick proclaimed.
"You really think I'm done?" Metalhead sneered before whistling as if she were blowing a horn. "Advance, my groupies!"
Some more of the hypnotized people from the Groove began to surround the spies.
"Oh, boy, there's more of them!" Alex chastised.
"We gotta try to take them," Sam insisted.
"Here goes nothing..." Clover quipped.
Three of the groupies approached Sam, but she simply snap kicked them away, followed by Alex shoulder-tackling another pair of groupies, and finishing with Clover snatching a groupie with her Expandable Cable Bungee Belt and swinging him around and into another pair of groupies.
"Oh, yeah, still got the cowgirl skill," Clover laughed.
"Okay, this is getting dangerous. I think we need to find a better place to do this!" Bridget insisted.
"I'm with Bridget on this," Dawn replied. "Innocent people are gonna get hurt... assuming there ARE people who aren't hypnotized in here."
"Consider those who ARE coming here sooner or later," Britney groaned.
The others looked around once they got a breather.
"Wait a minute, where'd Mat go?!" Sam asked, alarmed.
"He was right next to me a minute ago or less," Blaine deduced.
It was confirmed... Mat was not around, and Metalhead was sneering viciously.
"...oh, you didn't..." Melissa gasped.
"And so what if I did?" Metalhead taunted.
"That was MY FIANCEE that you just spy-napped!" Sam proclaimed. "You better know you're in deep with us!"
"Guess that means we're really gonna drop the hammer now," Nick growled.
"I'm in no trouble at all," Metalhead sneered again and attacked Nick. "And there's nothing you can do about it."
"Oh, is that really what you think?" Nick responded as he raised a psychic barrier in front of himself to bounce Metalhead back. "Well, then, since you're new around here, let me clue you in to what you just stepped in."
Nick dropped the barrier before grabbing Metalhead in his psychic hold and yanking her towards him so he could stare her down.
"That was one of my friends you just kidnapped," Nick proclaimed. "When it comes to my circle of friends, that's something you don't ever, EVER do unless you want a major keester-kicking."
Nick thrust his hand forward and sent Metalhead flying backwards into the nearby bushes.
"Now tell us where your goon squad took Mat before we actually decide to drop the hammer on your painted face!" Nick shouted.
"As if I'd be so bold," Metalhead chuckled as she picked herself up, most of her groupies in the area following her. "You'll have to find my secret lair if you want that information, and I highly doubt that's going to happen anytime soon."
With that, Metalhead and her groupies retreated, though not before Haruka managed to slip a tracker on her back.
"Still got the touch," Haruka chuckled.
"Okay, now that things are... relatively calmer," Carmen quipped. "What the heck was that all about?"
"Basically, we've got a new baddie in town, one that isn't part of our already established rogues' gallery," Melissa explained. "Her brainwashed 'groupies' apparently snatched Mat up during that scuffle, and we've gotta skedaddle to find him."
"I didn't even know you were in town, mom," Alex stated.
"Well, I kinda wanted to see how you were doing, sweetie," Carmen replied. "So I came back here to see you, and then I run into these weirdos in the face paint."
"Truly, a spy's work is never done," May sighed.
It was then that Carmen noticed the ring on Alex's finger, as she'd been too distracted to notice during the scuffle with Metalhead and her mooks. Naturally, Carmen was instantly drawn to it.
"Alex, honey, did he...?" Carmen asked.
"Yup," Alex giggled as she reached out to hold her fiancée's hand. "Nick and I are engaged now."
"HOLY CRAP, THAT'S AMAZING!" Carmen exclaimed as she leaped to hug her daughter. "I knew he would pop the question eventually!"
"Please don't tell me our moms were taking bets," Clover quipped.
"Well, Stella wanted to, but I told her not to," Carmen giggled. "I'm surprised I didn't hear anything about it, to be honest."
"Well, to be fair, Carmen, I did pop the question while we were in a completely alternate reality," Nick chuckled. "That's a long story that we'll save for later. Right now, we'd better follow Metalhead so we can hopefully find where her goon patrol took Mat, otherwise I think Sammy's gonna break something."
"Damn right, Nick," Sam proclaimed. "Nobody messes with my fiancée and gets away with it!"
With that, the entire group set off to follow the tracking beacon (since Metalhead didn't have a profile in W.O.O.H.P.'s database, being a new villain and all) hopefully to Metalhead's lair.
"And, who might your new friends be?" Carmen asked as she looked over at Seven and Rain.
"Oh, we're technically on loan for this mission," Seven giggled. "We're idols from Japan who got caught up with this whole Metalhead business, and since the spies helped us before, we figured we'd help them this time around."
"You've made quite the interesting friends lately, haven't you?" Carmen chuckled.
"Tell me about it," Alex laughed.
"I have results!" RiCO proclaimed from Nick's X-Powder. "I traced the tracker you guys threw on Metalhead to an old music building in the suburbs. Apparently, it used to be a heavy metal bar of sorts in the late 80s and early 90s."
"Sounds like the perfect place for Metalhead to hide," Nozomi quipped. "Let's go crash the party."
"Carmen, you should probably stay at headquarters for the time being," May stated. "That way, you won't get dragged into any more shenanigans like you almost did back at The Groove."
"No need to worry, May, a chopper's already on the way to pick her up," RiCO responded.
As the chopper arrived to escort Carmen back to W.O.O.H.P. Headquarters, the rest of the team set out into Beverly Hills, following RiCO's directions to a large music building, the Rock of Ages Hall.
"This the place?" Britney asked.
"Only one way to find out," Blaine replied.
("Rock of Ages" by Def Leppard plays)
Nick did the honors of pushing the doorway open to reveal that the inside of the building, despite having been shut down since the late 90s, was still in relatively good shape, almost as if someone had tried to preserve the place in its heyday.
"That's... about what I expected," Alex quipped.
"There should be an entrance to Metalhead's secret lair somewhere in this place," Sam stated. "Let's keep an eye out for anything suspicious."
With that, everyone began investigating the bar.
"It's so fancy," Eri stated. "Mom would have loved this place."
"What kind of music does your mom like, Eri?" Britney asked.
"She likes a lot of different music," Eri answered. "It comes with being a singer, really."
As the spies continued their investigation, Nick noticed something pretty peculiar standing on a nearby shelf just outside the bar area.
It looked like a picture of Metalhead when she'd just been Mallory Metallic, but there was another girl of similar age standing right next to her in the photo, and both girls were grinning like idiots, happy as can be.
And despite Mallory wearing similar face paint to her Metalhead persona in the photo, it was almost like the Mallory in this photo and the Metalhead of the present were two different people.
"It's like night and day, huh?" Seven quipped as she stepped closer to look at the photo herself.
"That just raises my big question," Nick answered. "What exactly happened between then and now that made Metalhead who she is now, and does this other girl have something to do with it?"
"Hey, you two, we've hit paydirt!" Bridget exclaimed as she stepped back so that the jukebox she'd checked slid away to reveal a doorway that led deeper underground into what could only be Metalhead's secret lair.
The spies all went down the stairway until they came out into the lair itself, which resembled a converted factory decorated with all kinds of heavy metal stage props and cutouts that represented the genre.
"Once again, about what I expected," Alex stated.
"Hey, I think there's someone up ahead!" Melissa exclaimed.
Sure enough, someone was standing at the opposite end of the hallway just up ahead, and it appeared to be Mat.
Only, now Mat had that same face paint on his face that Metalhead's other "groupies" had, and he was glaring at the spies with obviously malicious intent.
"...well, crapbaskets," Nick sighed.
"Metalhead turned Mat into one of her own!" Seven proclaimed.
"That was the one thing I was hoping would NOT happen on this mission!" Melissa chastised.
Seven and Rain appeared to be surprised at Melissa's statement.
"Obviously we sense other relationships among you guys," Rain commented. "But we'll deal with that later..."
"That's an understatement," Nick chastised. "We gotta save Mat now!"
"You won't..." Metalhead sneered as she took Mat under her wing. "But good luck trying..."
"She's likely having Mat lead the charge like Ariel did with Sam before," Alex chastised.
That gave Sam a bit of a painful flashback from when she fell under Ariel's influence as a female wrestler. Simultaneously, Sam was also very pissed at Metalhead essentially taking Mat away from her under these circumstances.
"Believe me when I say you meddlesome ingrates are done for!" Metalhead proclaimed as she summoned another group of her minions to deal with the spies.
"Great... more of the mooks!" Clover complained as more minions surrounded them all.
"That's right, girlie," Metalhead sneered again. "And believe me when I say this is your final time together because this good find of mine is going to lead the charge!"
"Mat, don't!" Blaine shouted.
"I doubt we'll get through to Mat that way," Nick remarked as he tried to sneak in a quick psychic scan of Mat's mind.
Other mooks tried to ambush the spies individually, but Sam, Clover, and Alex managed to avoid being ambushed.
"What's this?" Alex wondered as she managed to throw a mook off and found a compact on the ground.
She kept it and managed to fend off the next mook that came after her, then jumped over another mook before drop-kicking yet another mook into the rest of the group.
"Back off, guys," Alex taunted.
Another group of mooks simply advanced anyway, only for Nick to grab them in his psychic hold and send them flying backwards.
"When a lady tells you no, you listen," Nick proclaimed.
"Sonic Mode, online!" Bridget proclaimed as she used her super speed to dizzy out a group of mooks.
It didn't do any good, as more mooks came from who-knew-where... and Metalhead sent Mat to eliminate them.
"Okay, now you're just insulting us," Sam growled.
"Who said anything about playing fair, really?" Metalhead laughed.
Mat barged forward, shoulder-tackling his way through Sam, Britney and Melissa, only to be knocked back by a couple psychic bolts from Nick.
"Come on, Mat, you know how this is going to end if we keep it up," Nick proclaimed.
"Maybe this might work," Haruka stated as she got out the Scan Man 9000 Radio.
"Take your shot then," May quipped to Haruka.
"Here goes nothing..." Haruka remarked as she activated the gadget.
The mooks acted agitated at what they heard. However, Sam and Nozomi noticed Mat was unaffected.
"Haruka, Mat's unaffected!" Nozomi called out.
"That's the idea," Metalhead sneered. "Attack them!"
"Come on, honey, snap out of it!" Sam exclaimed.
Sadly, it didn't seem to affect Mat either, and he pounced forward to pin Sam to the ground, as did a trio of groupies.
"So sorry you couldn't get him back to his senses, little lady," Metalhead laughed. "I guess that means I get the last laugh!"
Suddenly, a wave of yellow light passed along the floor underneath Sam, and this caused her, Mat, and the three mooks to start floating helplessly in the air.
Nick grabbed Sam in his psychic hold and brought her back to safe ground, then rushed forward to unleash a psychic pulse all around him that sent Mat stumbling to the ground along with the groupies.
"Okay, so what did that do?" Metalhead chuckled, only to look on in surprise when Mat stood up and shook his head like he'd just woken up from a long nap.
"Ugh... what happened?" Mat wondered. "Why does my head feel like it got salad-tossed with the special sauce?"
"That's... an image," Eri quipped.
Naturally, Metalhead couldn't believe what she was seeing.
"Yeah, I've got a lot of tricks up my sleeve," Nick proclaimed. "Want me to demonstrate some more of them?!"
"You should just consider yourself lucky that I've got other things to attend to," Metalhead retorted as she and her groupies wisely decided to make a hasty retreat.
Of course, Sam was immediately all over Mat, as were Britney and Melissa.
"Thanks for coming to my rescue, everyone," Mat stated. "Now I just need to get this paint off of my face..."
"So, now that we've got some time to kill," Seven giggled. "Any relationship updates from all of you?"
"Nothing escapes that knowing smile, huh?" Melissa laughed. "Well, Mat and I are still going strong, too, so there's that."
"I've got an update, too," Nozomi responded, reaching out to hold Nick's free hand. "To be fair, I was Nick's first girlfriend way back when we were just teenagers, long before he ever moved to Beverly Hills. You could say that I was inspired by Melissa to take that plunge myself."
Before anyone else could comment, Alex remembered something, and reached into her pocket to pull out the compact that she'd found during the battle.
"Did you find a clue, Alex?" Sam wondered.
"I think so, anyway," Alex replied as she opened the compact and found another picture of Mallory Metallic and that mystery girl from the upstairs photograph.
"There's gotta be a connection between these two somehow," Blaine quipped.
"Here's hoping we can figure that out before this case gets any more troublesome," Nick quipped. "Let's keep following Metalhead so we can get some answers."
The group continued to make their way through the lair, searching around for more clues, and hopefully the answer to the identity of the mystery girl in the pictures.
Eventually, they all found themselves in a round, arena-style room, and quickly put themselves on edge, as they knew what rooms like this usually meant.
What immediately caught their attention was the woman hanging from the ceiling by a very flimsy-looking rope.
"Mom?!" Eri shouted when she realized that it was her mother Emi.
"So glad you could all hang with her tonight," Metalhead cackled as she stepped out of the shadows.
"This really isn't the time for puns, you KISS ripoff!" Mat shouted. "Let Emi go or you're going to get it."
"I really don't think you understand the situation here, boy," Metalhead responded. "I can cut her down and send her falling like a rock rather quickly, and that rope already doesn't look stable as it is. So, if I were you, I'd shut my mouth before you..."
Before Metalhead could continue her thinly-veiled threats, Nick brought out the picture he'd found upstairs, and this caused Metalhead to step back slightly in shock.
"W-w-where did you find that?!" Metalhead gasped.
"Oh, that got a reaction out of you," Nick responded. "Who is this girl? Is she the reason why you're like this? Because I'm pretty sure it wasn't just losing your time in the spotlight that made you act like this."
It took a while for Metalhead to response, but when she did, she looked down for a second before looking back at the picture Nick was holding, trying her best to hold back tears.
"...her name was Maria, and she was my best friend," Metalhead answered in a lower voice. "She was always supportive of my musical endeavors, even as the times were changing in the music landscape. She encouraged me even when I was feeling down about the changing trends, and she was the only reason I decided to keep trying to make a comeback."
"...did something happen to her?" Alex asked, knowing they'd have to tread carefully so they didn't anger Metalhead any further.
"You want to know the real reason I'm angry that I was pushed out of the spotlight?" Metalhead proclaimed, feeling the tears coming despite her best efforts. "About two years ago, Maria and I were scoping out some concert venues for a show I was planning on holding, a way of finding my way back into the limelight, to show the world I wouldn't give up on my dreams."
Metalhead hesitated slightly before resuming her story. "Unfortunately, I would be sharing the stage with another metal band... and they forgot to do a thorough check of the stage's safety protocols," Metalhead explained, and the spies all looked at each other, having a pretty good idea of where the story was headed. "During our rehearsal, the stage came down on us. And... and Maria pushed me out of the way, only for the rafters to come down on her instead. Despite everything they did to help her... she died from her injuries only a few days after the accident."
Metalhead clenched her fists tightly, her anger over that tragic event resurfacing. "Because these bands didn't frickin' care about safety regulations, I lost my best friend, and what did that band do?! They just swept it under the rug like they didn't even care!" Metalhead shouted. "They just covered up the incident because they didn't want to lose their own asses, clearly not giving a single shit about what their shoddy stage props did to me and Maria!"
Metalhead whipped out her megaphone, ready to go on a rampage. "Ever since then, I haven't been able to do anything but wallow in my own despair and grief, until recently," Metalhead growled. "That's when I decided. All of these pathetic singers, bands, idols, any kind of musician who doesn't give a crap who they step over to achieve their dreams, they don't deserve anything!"
The spies quickly tensed up when Metalhead aimed her megaphone upwards, towards where Emi was hanging.
"And I might as well start with this selfish little tart!" Metalhead shrieked, shouting loudly into her megaphone and sending booming sound waves towards Emi.
Before the sound waves could reach Emi and possibly deafen her, she was just as quickly surrounded by a psychic bubble courtesy of Nick, so the sound waves just harmlessly dissipated against the bubble.
"That's enough, Mallory," Nick proclaimed as he flew upwards, dispelled the bubble, cut the rope holding Emi up, and brought her safely back down to the ground. "I understand that you're upset about losing your friend, and you have every right to be. I'm not saying you can't grieve for someone you really cared about. But you can't take that anger out on bands or idols that had absolutely nothing to do with what happened."
"And why shouldn't I?!" Metalhead shot back. "They're all part of the same problem! They don't give a rat's ass about anything but their bottom line!"
"Shows what you know," Seven responded. "I became an idol simply to make people smile through my music. As long as people are happy when I perform, that's all I could really ask for."
"STOP LYING TO ME, YOU HEARTLESS BITCH!" Metalhead screamed as she bum-rushed Seven, only to be stopped by Nick.
"I said, that's enough," Nick growled. "I won't let you take your misguided anger out on people who haven't wronged you in any way."
"Oh, just try and stop me!" Metalhead shouted as she charged to attack Nick again.
Nick was quick to respond back by creating a psychic barrier to block Metalhead's attack.
"This egotism is NOT going to get you ANYWHERE!" Nick proclaimed as he managed to make Metalhead surrender her attack.
"Shows what you know!" Metalhead shouted through watery eyes.
"Seriously, THIS IS WRONG!" May proclaimed and pounded the ground with her anchor to get Metalhead to stop dead in her tracks, which worked.
"Totally!" Sam added. "How many times were we persecuted by Mandy, or dealt with our boss' masochism and we just put it all behind us?!"
"And at times, Mandy got away with things, which we despised," Alex added.
"But we just attributed that old Mandy to being a cold-hearted bitch," Clover improvised.
"Until she turned a new leaf, much to our surprise," Haruka remarked.
Metalhead just tuned out the things said as if they were outright lies.
"You're worse than Kyle Lewis of all people," Mat commented. "You think he gave up after no factory team signed him his entire career?! Or Mike Brown after coming back to Motocross in the '90s and won the 125cc Motocross title in 2001?"
"That's injustice with Lewis," Melissa commented.
"Tell me about it," Bridget replied. "That's what I call always slipping through the cracks."
"See, my Mat-honey knows a thing or two," Sam replied.
"You know NOTHING of what I went through!" Metalhead shouted.
"You spilled your guts to us..." Dawn remarked. "And mounting a comeback this way is not the answer!"
"Make your troubles public and prove you're open to share this!" Britney added.
"And if you're lucky, maybe cops will look into things and perhaps bring criminal charges forward if there were any witnesses," Nick remarked.
"Nick's right!" Bridget continued.
"It's way too late!" Metalhead cried out in agony. "I told EVERYBODY that I could think of and they just blew me off! Nobody took video... no photos... NO NOTHING!"
"So, you resort to kidnapping me and my daughter?!" Emi growled. "If I were your mother, I'd lock you away in a room and throw away the key..."
Emi moved in to attack, and despite Metalhead thinking she was going to be an easy target, found herself getting smashed into the ground courtesy of an overhead slap from Emi.
"You go, Emi!" Clover silently cheered.
"Regardless, you're a lost cause if you are aiming for one," Mat remarked.
"So, get ready to lose all of your self-worth!" Blaine proclaimed.
"You can't be serious!" Metalhead proclaimed.
"Believe us when we say we are," Sam growled. "And spy-napping my fiancée is a major line-crosser!"
"Ditto!" Britney and Melissa remarked in unison since they were seeing Mat, too.
"If you'd just kept your nose out of my business, maybe you wouldn't have gotten yourself captured!" Metalhead shot back, and it was becoming increasingly clear to the spies that her grief was starting to overwhelm her. "Maybe consider that!"
"This isn't getting us anywhere, is it?" Nozomi sighed. "Can we please just take her down and move on with our lives?"
"And there's the hypocrisy!" Metalhead shouted. "You heard everything I had to say, and yet you're still blowing me off, just like they did!"
"Mallory, listen to yourself," Nick responded. "You're losing yourself to your grief, you know."
"I HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO, YOU BASTARD!" Metalhead screamed. "I think you're missing the bigger picture here. My best friend was killed because that other band couldn't be bothered to keep an eye on anything besides their own music, and nobody's going after them despite the fact that their shoddy construction murdered somebody! How could any of you understand what I've lost?! ANSWER ME THAT!"
"I lost my own best friend," May retorted immediately, stunning Metalhead into silence. "My friend Ami was killed a couple years ago, and trust me, I felt the same grief I'm sure you're probably feeling. But I didn't fall into despair because of it. And you want to know why? Because my friends were there to pull me out of the darkness before I could be consumed by it."
"I lost both of my parents," Nick proclaimed. "Both my mom and dad were murdered, and I'm still here, fighting the good fight, for the same reason as May. I have friends who would never let me give in to my darker impulses."
"Don't give me any of that self-righteous bullcrap! This bastard tried to kill my girlfriend, for no other reason than it amused him! I don't care anymore if he's my actually my brother or not, he deserves to die!"
"Trust me, I've been down the road you're going down, and it's not a pretty sight," Nick stated.
"It sounds like you just didn't have anyone you could truly turn to," Alex noted.
"That's because everyone I tried turning to was more interested in their own selfish whims!" Metalhead shouted.
A bunch more of Metalhead's groupies surrounded the spies and attempted to dogpile them, but Nick sent them all flying backwards with a psychic pulse.
"Meanwhile, here I am trying to simply get some well-deserved justice for what that wretched band did, and nobody will listen to me!" Metalhead exclaimed. "I figured you would understand why I'm so angry, but you're no better than the rest of these monsters!"
Metalhead raised her megaphone towards the spies. "And that means you're officially on my hit list!" Metalhead shouted, preparing to fire off another blast from her megaphone...
...only to raise it upwards and instead fire a booming sound blast into the ceiling, followed by another one to the walls, floor, just about everywhere she could fire.
"Groupies, to my side!" Metalhead proclaimed as the groupies nearby retreated to Metalhead's side. "This isn't the end, spies!"
With that, Metalhead and her groupies made a hasty retreat down a nearby secret tunnel just as the ceiling above them began to shake and crumble.
"Oh, she did not just do what I think she did," Britney quipped.
Sure enough, parts of the ceiling came crashing down to the ground.
"She definitely did!" Melissa exclaimed. "Let's get the heck out of here, people!"
The spies all turned around and made for the exit as the lair continued to collapse around them.
7:36 P.M. – W.O.O.H.P. Headquarters
Jerry's Office
"And that's basically what happened down there, Jer," Sam proclaimed as she and the spies finished explaining the specifics of their confrontation with Metalhead. While all of this was happening, Nick and Alex were talking with Carmen about their engagement.
"That is indeed quite the story," Jerry replied. "It truly is terrible when things like this happen and the culprits escape their due punishment for it..."
"I really wish there was something we could have done for Mallory," May quipped. "It really isn't fair that the band she mentioned got away with such a horrific oversight..."
"Guess all we can do is stop her before she makes this situation any worse," Blaine responded.
Unbeknownst to the spies, while she was scanning for any sign of Metalhead, RiCO was also working on something else, but she was keeping it secret until she felt like it was the right time.
"So, Nick actually proposed to you in the middle of all that crazy?" Carmen giggled. "Oh, that must have been so romantic..."
"It felt like the perfect time, especially considering I'd actually planned to propose after we put Boogie Gus behind bars, then all of that happened," Nick chuckled.
"I bet Gabby would be happy to hear that Sam got engaged, too," Carmen replied.
"As long as you don't start taking bets," Alex teased.
"I assume you're all heading out to take care of that rapscallion?" Emi wondered.
"Once we find out where she's skulked off to now," Mat answered. "The tracker we put on her must have fallen off when we were all escaping her lair."
"We're gonna have you and Eri stay here until this is all over, okay?" Nick stated to Emi. "Since I have a feeling that Metalhead's about to bust out her trump card, and given the last two times Eri got caught up in our rogues' gallery's exploits..."
"Oh, you know me so well."
"Jerry, we're getting a transmission!" RiCO proclaimed. "Putting it on screen now!"
RiCO waved her hands, changing the office viewscreen to a video feed of Metalhead standing on what appeared to be a stage.
"In case you're wondering, I found your video frequencies after I brainwashed the Hawaiian pretzel," Metalhead laughed. "How convenient, am I right?"
"All right, Metalhead, what's your big game?" May proclaimed. "Especially after you just spilled everything to us!"
"Oh, I'd think it's quite obvious," Metalhead responded. "I'm going to crush these wretches who think they can cover up their problems and get away with it. And I guess I'm going to start with your city."
"Didn't you hear a word we said, Mallory?!" Nick exclaimed. "You can't take your anger out on people who had nothing to do with what happened to you!"
"I told you, little man, I'm not going to be swayed by your words," Metalhead retorted. "I'm too far gone, anyway. But, considering you've actually given me some entertainment over the course of this crazy day, I think I'll be generous and extend an invitation to join my 'explosive' re-debut performance. Find me at the site of the old Beverly Hills Amphitheater in one hour, or your precious city... well, I don't think I need to tell you how that would end. Don't keep me waiting."
With that, the video feed cut out swiftly.
"I was hoping we wouldn't have to go back to that amphitheater again," Alex admitted. "It's still creepy as heck."
"Well, since she so graciously invited us to her show, why don't we crash it?" Seven proclaimed.
"I like the way you think, Seven," May chuckled.
After getting a gadget refit from RiCO, the spies left W.O.O.H.P. and set out for the old amphitheater in hopes of stopping Metalhead before she went on a truly destructive rampage.
To be concluded...
On the next episode...
Alex: Oof, I was right, this place is still creepy even after the last time we fought something here.
Haruka: You can never go wrong with good ol' rule twenty-two.
Britney: Oof, look at all of this. I sincerely hope she's not going to do anything too drastic...
Sam: That's why we should keep our guards up, no matter what Metalhead tries to spring on us.
Clover: Hey, I think I see her up ahead!
Metalhead: Well, well, you actually made it on time.
Nick: What, and miss the biggest show of the decade? You must be crazy.
Metalhead: Maybe. Now that you're all here, I won't bore you with cliché villain talk, so, without further adieu, let the show begin!
Seven: The final act is upon us, readers, and we've got a bit of a rockstar of sorts to deal with next time on the final act of Totally Spies: Heavy Metal Queens, "Fever Night"!
Metalhead: ...oof, Mat was right. This face paint can be obnoxious sometimes. How do actual performers do it?
May: Forever one of the greatest mysteries of our time.
