(Note: EVERYONE IS IN HUMAN FORM, but all their abilities and powers are retained)

"This is the end for you, Darkrai!" Cresselia shouted, lunging at me.

"Urrggghh..." I rasped — her attack had hit home.

I slowly raised my head to face her, "C-Cresselia... Don't you remember...?" Her eyes briefly met mine.

"...I said you can never catch me." A small smile creeped to my face, eye gleaming. With a snap of my fingers, a dimensional hole materialized behind me.

"Mwahaha... this dimensional hole will take me to the future! ...Or the past. Even I don't know where it will lead me!" Cresselia poised her body again to strike me.

"But," I continued, pointedly ignoring her, "I failed only this time. I will simply plunge the world into darkness another time."

"S-stop! Darkrai!" One of the two imbeciles behind Cresselia stepped forward, imploring me. I hardened my glare. I'll pay you back for all the trouble you've caused me someday...

"You won't escape this time, Darkrai!" Cresselia yelled in vain.

I quickly sped to the dimensional hole and felt the portal's rhythmic pulsing just a step away.

"Hmph... too bad for you. I can slip away through time with just one step." I cackled.

"...You cannot catch me. Goodbye to you."

"Urk." The mudkip grunted pitifully, drawing a smile from my face.

"Mwahaha! Well how do you like that?" I couldn't hold back a laugh. These fools... were still as amusing as ever. "Finally in the end... It ends in my ultimate victory–"

"I won't allow that!" A powerful voice oh-so similar to Dialga's declared, eliciting an earthquake from beneath the ground.

"W-what!?" I cannot lie, the Master of Space had caught me off guard.

A flash of white blinded me, and I quickly backpedaled a few steps, and then tried to rub the light out of my eye.

It then adjusted, revealing a certain white and magenta clad major legendary... one of the most major of them all.

"Y-you're..." I trailed off.

"...Palkia!" The Eevee finished.

"You'll pay dearly for expanding the distortion of space, Darkrai!" He threatened me.

The spatial master trained his furious gaze onto me, the intricate patterns of his attire beginning to glow. I knew all too well what would soon follow.

Having no more options, I dove into the dimensional hole.

"Take THIS!" I heard Palkia yell from behind the portal's entrance.

...

...

...

A faint explosion suddenly reached my ears... and only then did I realize my tragic error...

Yellow light flooded my vision, and a shriek escaped my mouth as my world dissolved into lifelessness, and I knew no more.

"My dear Grovyle... what's wrong?" Celebi looked up at him in concern.

"I'm not sure, I..." Grovyle shook his head, trailing off.

"You felt it too, didn't you?" Dialga's former henchman asked, eyeing Grovyle closely.

"Oh, did you mean that wave of temporal energy?" The pink haired girl inquired, "I felt that a while ago, but don't think it's really anything to worry about." She said, putting his concerns to rest.

"Ah, that's good to hear... Wait–" Grovyle suddenly jumped to his feet, facing her.

"Did you say temporal energy? As in, someone just time-traveled here?"

Dusknoir chuckled, "It's possible. But remember, the future and the past are now two different dimensions, two seperate timelines," He shook his head, "I don't think someone from the past could've come here." Dusknoir said, giving Grovyle a knowing look.

"Yes... you're probably right. I'm getting myself worked up over nothing." Grovyle sighed, turning his gaze away.

Celebi gave him a weak smile. "I know you want to see them again. Once the space-time continuum is fully restored, it might be possible to visit them."

Grovyle nodded. "We need hurry up rebuilding until then, it could be a long time before we're able to get answers."

"Always jumping from one thing to the next, aren't you?" Celebi giggled.

"The world won't rebuild itself now, will it? Come on, let's go together." He smiled.

"Why don't you two love birds get a room...?" Dusknoir butted in mockingly, which was met with a feisty shut up Dusknoir!

"Celebi. You know, we haven't spoken to Dialga in while. Not since all that's happened on the mountain. How long ago was that? A year ago?" Grovyle asked.

"Hmm. Yes, a year ago I believe. It really has been some time since then, hasn't it?"

Grovyle nodded. "Actually, I've been wondering if we could pay Dialga a visit. There's a question that's been plaguing my mind lately." He said.

"Even I haven't been in touch with Master Dialga lately. Perhaps it is time to see how the reconstruction of Temporal Tower has been." Dusknoir added.

Celebi glanced back and forth from the two and giggled, "Well, I supposed we can help rebuilding here another time." She answered.

"Let's go visit Dialga!" She exclaimed.

After scaling countless steps up the Temporal Tower, and enduring some annoying philosophical debates from Celebi and Dusknoir on the way, finally the three neared the entrance to Temporal Pinnacle.

To Grovyle's surprise, some sort of argument coming from beyond the entrance reached his ears. Both Celebi and Dusknoir grew silent as well. The three stealthily hid from sight as they eavesdropped on the conversation.

"I saw it with my own eyes! You'd best believe me when I say it's a threat!"

"You are overreacting. That is extremely unlikely. And I would have seen something if it is as you say."

"Bah! You could barely see beyond an arm's length since that whole debacle last year! It was up to me and me alone to keep watch of it for the both of us as you took your sweet time recovering."

"Might I remind you that you left countless blind spots vulnerable to exploitation? Not to mention that these were only resolved after I took notice of them! You should have allowed the floodgates to be wide open while you were at it!"

Grovyle peered in deeper through the door, and was able to confirm that it was without a doubt Dialga, and... another person.

He wore baronial and intimidating garments, which were white, and elaborate streaks of magenta decorously patterned it. It seemed to be designed for ease of speed and movement. A large and heavy cape, however, was attached to his shoulder pads, which had 2 pearls embedded in each one.

He took a furious stomp toward to Dialga, and started to speak with his voice low and unusually calm from what Grovyle had observed from him.

Dialga, however, was unfazed by the angry advances toward him. He... seems a bit different from the last time Grovyle had seen him.

The temporal ruler wore his usual regal attire. Unlike the other mysterious man, who's clothes were geared more for speed and being on the offensive, Dialga's were more inclined for power and defense.

Like the magenta man next to him, he was wearing a long and heavy cape, but instead of it being attached at the shoulders, it was sort of wrapped around them, with a gem pinning it down next to his left shoulder. It was definitely the diamond. The royal blue and silver of his outfit were Dialga's signature colors as compared to the other man. But the sky blue patterns adorning his attire seemed to mirror the other, but in an... opposite way, if that made sense.

In a way, their outfits seemed to compliment one another. Speed and offensive attacks, Power and defensive attacks. The second man must have an easy time moving fast, dodging attacks and delivering blows, his garments were a dead giveaway after all. Those wide shoulder pads even looked like they were angled for easily gliding through the air. Dialga's attire on the other hand looked slightly heavier, and it covered more blind spots.

It was only then that Grovyle realized that their faces look almost identical! If not for their different colors and contrasting garments, they'd look almost the same! Could it be that they–

"Well! I've half a mind to have just left you there, you ungrateful fool! But alas, father would never allow it..." ...Father? Perhaps Grovyle's suspicions were correct after all.

"Brother," Dialga said, his eyes narrowing, "If not for the–"

"Master Dialga! Master Dialga!"
