Nevertheless, I hope you wonderful people enjoyed the first chapter! It's much different than the tone from here on out but I... only figured out what I wanted to write following this particular prompt! xD
Again, a huge thank you to both TigerCry and DHersheyPlus for their efforts and their hard work in making this happen! You both are freaking amazing! c:
So! Chapter Two of Seven! Go! :D
~KiriSuna: Black Lighting~
~A Vacation... Of Sorts...!~
"Hurry up, Kirito-kun!"
A figure burst through the crowded street, stopping to turn around to face the man she had fallen in love with. Hair and skirt swaying with her, the soft Spring breeze enhancing the beauty of her facial features, she allowed a giddy bubbling of laughter to escape her throat as she took in his less than amused look.
It had been a little over two years since they first met. Two years of camaraderie, memories, battles, and Sword Art Online. Two years... after coming to realise that both Kazuto "Kirito" Kirigaya and Asuna Yuuki were head over heels in love with one another.
Though... I'm sure you all know the story by now, so I won't bore you more than necessary~
So now? We find the pair wandering their way through the bustling streets of Tokyo, trying to not lose sight of one another as they found themselves bombarded with a veritable swarm of people. Of course, Asuna was thoroughly enjoying the first genuine experience of Tokyo as nothing more than a teenage girl! It was a refreshing change of pace from the several trips she had been here with both her parents in the past and the informal events she was required to attend due to her heritage and status.
Kirito?
He was... a lot paler than normal. Plus the fact that he was carrying two sets of luggage bags on him as well, both his own stuff and that of his girlfriend-come-fiancée; trying to keep her in his field of vision and not be jostled any further than he was being right now. Eyes drooping slightly from exhaustion, and his frame curled inward slightly from the anxiety of being around so many people, he tried his best to put up a smile for Asuna.
From the worried frow on her face? It didn't work.
He sighed deeply, breaking his gaze from her and focusing on the ground he was walking on; one step in front of the other in a concerted effort to not let her see how badly he was struggling right now. Though the option was taken away from him when he felt two slender hands cupping his face, lifting his gaze back up to that of her own, and seeing the apologetically guilty look on her face.
"I'm sorry, Kirito-kun. I didn't notice you were struggling..."
Kirito's eyes softened at that point, leaning into the hands and rubbing his face into them in a term of affection. He leaned forward, not caring about the looks he garnered at this point as he leaned in and kissed Asuna. Her eyes widened initially before she pulled his face closer to hers, eyes fluttering closed as she melted into the lip-lock with him. They held that kiss for a few moments before pulling back, a warmer smile shared on both their faces before Asuna reached down to his hand and took her own bag from him. Sticking close, she used the chance to take his freed arm and locked her own arm with it as they continued to walk to their destination.
It had come as a complete surprise that the two of them would have the opportunity to experience the small vacation that they had been gifted; a small token of appreciation from Asuna's father for keeping her safe during Sword Art Online. Two tickets to one of the most exclusive and sought-after hotels that Tokyo had to offer: the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. Kirito nearly choked once a ticket was placed in his hand, courtesy of Asuna's old man, but the look in his eye told him all that he needed to know. The two of them would be spending the week there together, and away from anyone and everyone; given how the two of them were given one of the most exclusive rooms right at the very peak of the hotel itself.
Making their way inside, the two of them were quickly greeted by one of the attending staff members; a well-pronounced male that had a confident aura around him. Short brown hair, matching eyes, and a look that had Kirito quickly on edge from how his attention sat on Asuna.
"Good afternoon, Ms. Yuuki! I was made aware that we would be expecting your visit today! My name is Minato and I will be more than happy to assist you in any way that I am able!" The now identified Minato spoke brightly, missing the soured look on Asuna's face as she realized what was at play here. The fact that she walked in with someone and yet refused to acknowledge her partner was something that she did. Not. Like.
"Charmed. If you would be so kind to escort both myself and my fiance to our room?" Asuna hinted, moving closer to Kirito and locking her arm around his own a little tighter than normal. Kirito sent the new figure a small smirk, noting the small twitch of the eye from this Minato-person. The latter was about to make a retort but a new voice broke the unpleasant atmosphere before it could fully form.
"Minato! Scram!"
The male in question looked offended, with his face scrunching up like he had eaten something incredibly sour. However, the choice retort died on his lips as he realized who was walking toward him. A shaky bow, followed by his swift dismissal, left the three figures to stand in the main lobby of the hotel itself. Quite a tall figure for someone in Japan, at the respectable height of six-foot-one, white hair tied into a ponytail with a set of bangs covering his right eye. A pair of sport-design glasses sitting on the bridge of his nose and apologetic amusement dancing in his revealed ruby orb.
"You'd think he'd have a lot more decorum and tact for someone who's working in such a fine establishment, huh?" He quipped rhetorically, earning a pair of smiles and a giggle from Asuna in response to his sarcasm. "Forgive the dunce, we haven't broken him in for house training yet~ But we have been expecting the two of you this afternoon, Ms. Yuuki, Mr. Kirigaya! My name is Kuroshiro Kazuma, and I will be your host for your duration with us~"
A wink sent to both of them had the pair relax from the previously uncomfortable atmosphere, allowing Asuna to step forward with a more natural smile on her face. She inspected him once over before a small smirk rested on her face, a playful glint entering her eyes as she decided to test the man in front of her.
"I am somewhat acquainted with this hotel from my experiences in the past, and yours is a face I am not quite familiar with," she probed, earning a fox-like grin from the man in front of her. "I would've recognized someone of your... stature before now, if I may be so blunt," she quipped, a sharp tongue that held neither malice nor ill-intent. A bark of laughter was her response, seeing the beaming smile come from the man's face.
"I'm a... new recruit, as it were~ My Boss wanted to give me the opportunity to gain experience with becoming a host which regards that of accommodations and the like~ She managed to pull a few strings and here I am~" Kuroshiro bowed with a flourish, making Asuna giggle a little bit harder at the charisma of the man in front of her. Even Kirito, exhausted as he was, allowed a soft chuckle to escape from his lips.
"Though please, don't let me keep you any longer than needed! I am happy to show you both to your room, and I will place it upon myself to get something for your fiance. Seems like he's about to pass out any second, the poor fella," he nodded towards Kirito, earning a sheepish yet grateful smile. "Come with me, you two~ Let's get you settled in so you can enjoy yourselves for this upcoming week~"
Asuna and Kirito nodded happily, passing their bags to the outstretched hands of Kuroshiro and following him towards the elevators; the three of them scooting close together once they walked inside, just as the doors shut upon them to take them to their new abode for the next seven days~
~Chapter End~
And there ya have it! Less tense and less formal than the last chapter; decided to give a twist on things and write something with a bit of humour mixed in with day-to-day life for them both!
It's currently gone 4:20 am and this fox is ready to blaze his way... to bed! (... that was terrible but I'm keeping it in cause blehhh!) xD
Stay Foxy, y'all! ;)
