Songs of The Same Shade PT. 2 (A Short Story)

Author's Note:

I finally decided to continue this story for the sake of my sanity. I keep staring at it and wanting to update it constantly but getting discouraged because I must retype up to where I truly left off. Consider this a welcome back present from me along with a secret chapter to another one of my stories that I've been writing.

Location: Ballroom

"Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do to help Sora and the others here. We need to regroup because incase you haven't noticed two of our own are still missing." Justin voiced aloud. Young Xehanort smirked at hearing that and looked down at the travelers. "Ah, you must be talking about the two young maidens my partner told me about. He should be dealing with the two of them as we speak and with the help of my nobodies, I'm sure they're in good hands." He said confidently. Just before Syaoran and the others could act young Xehanort summoned a large heartless which blew a strong wind knocking everyone in the room into a wall. Justin cradled Alex as they all made harsh impact with the wall. "OK! Now I'm angry!" Nina shouted as she held her shoulder tightly. The residents of the world got up and stepped forward with their weapons out. "Can we get a break without the Organization always raining on our parade?!" Nikki yelled up at Young Xehanort while pointing Twilight Rose at him. "Oh, poor Princess without a home, why don't you just come with me so we can find it together?" Y.X mocked her with a sad smirk. Nikki growled up at him for that comment before a hand was placed on her shoulder. Akiko raised her staff and casted Curaga on everyone, then glared up at Y.X as well. "WE will find our home and save it without the likes of you. Thank you very much." She spat to him. He's so irritating all the time and it doesn't help that he still exists after everything that happened two years ago. "I wouldn't be too sure now that I have this in my possession." Y.X said as he pulled out one of Sakura's feathers. "That's one of Sakura's feathers!? How did you get that!" Nina yelled up at him as the others became tense. "Like I said before it came into my possession not too long ago. My partner already knew what it was since he has one as well. This little feather has immense power that I will utilize for my own plans." Y.X said with a maniacal grin on his face.

Sora glanced up at the heartless floating in the room then turned towards the ballroom door pointing his keyblade at it causing an unlock sound to be heard. "Go to your friends before its too late. We'll handle the nobodies here; your friends need you." He said calmly while looking directly at Syaoran. "It doesn't matter what they do at this point my partner should already be finished with his half of the task as we speak." Y.X said before jumping backwards into a portal of darkness with feather in hand. The nobody which took on the shape of a dragon with wind power roared loudly caused the group to be split up. The dimensional travelers were all blown out the ballroom doors into the hallway while the kingdom natives ended up locked inside shortly after.

Location: Outside the Ballroom, Main Entrance

"Is everyone alright?" Taiki asked as she sat up looking around at the others. Fai, Kurogane, and Mokona were sitting up against the railing dusting their clothes off. "When I get my hands on that white haired magician, he's going to regret showing his face." Kurogane said in a scary tone. Justin was leaning against the wall next to Alex while staring at Nina intently. "I'm really sorry but this is going to hurt." He said while holding Nina's shoulder and looking her dead in the face. Nina winced while holding her shoulder and nodded her head. Justin abruptly forced Nina's arm upward as a loud crack was heard and yell. "GAH! That hurt a lot more then I thought it would. Thanks for relocating it for me." Nina said to him through grinded teeth. Why does these things always happen to me? If Akira was here, she'd probably be worrying her head off. "What's our next plan of action because we still need to find Sakura-hime and Autumn-chan." Fai asked with a smile. The group remained silent before turning to Syaoran as one. He was standing with his hair covering his eyes and not seeming to move anytime soon. Taiki started to approach him before Justin put a hand on her shoulder and approached instead. He's acting weirder than usual especially for Sakura-hime to be missing. "Syaoran, you have any clues on how we can track them down?" Justin asked as he got closer to him then froze instantly when he caught a glimpse of Syaoran's eyes staring at him. His eyes looked cold and dead almost as if he was staring into Justin's soul. Justin's breath hitched as if he couldn't breathe for a second then blinked when Syaoran turned around to them all looking completely normal. What the hell was that a moment ago? Its almost like I sensed another presence instead of his. Could Akira's warning to me earlier be true? "Sora-san had mentioned about us going to the East wing. I figured we could start the search there." He said then turned and walked right into a wall.

They all sweat dropped before Justin helped him up and they started heading for the east wing. Along the way they kept hearing loud crashing sounds and metal scraping against metal. It kept getting louder until they reached the door that connected the two hallways. Taiki went to push the door open but was forced back as a flair of darkness covered it. "What the?" Nina questioned then turned to Taiki as she winced out loud. Alex who was the closest to her was standing on her tippy toes looking down concerned. "Taiki-san's hands got burned somehow." She said scared. Fai walked over to Taiki politely gesturing for her to show him her hands. Taiki show them to Fai who in turn stared at them seeing magic coat them in a way he's never seen before. "I don't know what type of magic exists in this world, but I suggest none of us touch it anytime soon." Fai explained. "Great if we can't touch it then how are we going to get the doors open?" Nina asked. Meanwhile, Justin, Syaoran, and Kurogane were leaning towards the door listening intently to sounds coming from the other side. "It sounds like there's a fight taking place on the other side…" Justin said tensely. Syaoran's worries skyrocketed when he heard Sakura's scared voice on the other side. "Akira-san! We have to get out of here together and find the others." She exclaimed in fear. The others immediately got quiet when they heard the Princess's desperate pleas to the other female. "Sakura run to the door and please don't look back for me." Akira said scarily calm. Nina, Taiki, and Alex all shuffled closer to the door as they heard Akira's voice. "You really think that you stand a chance against me?" A familiar male's voice spoke. Alex whimpered and dug her face into Justin's leg. "It's the mean jerk whose been chasing after me, Sakura, and Akira." She whined. They all looked down at Alex surprised at the new piece of information.

"Alex, you know who he is?" Justin asked her gently while bending down to her. Alex moved away from Justin and stared at the ground sadly. "Akira-chan made me promise not to tell anyone unless it was an emergency." She softly spoke. Nina came over on Alex's other side and put a hand on her head. "Your not going to be in trouble Alex-chan, it's just we need to know who he is." She said gently to her. Alex clutched her dress tightly in her hand before looking up at everyone's faces and sighing. "His name is Sosuke Oda and me, Akira, and Sakura met him in the first world we went to. I summoned fluffy for the first time when he attacked me and Akira-chan after we went shopping together. Then he appeared again when we were in the weird game world. He's the one who hurt Akira-chan by whispering some weird words to her." Alex explained while staring at the floor. The others stayed quiet digesting everything they just learned before all looking at the door when a loud sound was heard. "Sosuke! Why are you so hellbent on coming after us?" Akira's voice asked aloud. There was shuffling sounds followed by a small yell shortly after. "I don't have time to give you my life story seeing as how unless I get rid of both you my plans will never work." He said menacingly while standing across from the two. "If what Alex-san said is true then we need to get in there before something happens." Syaoran said before staring at the door intently.

Location: East Wing Hallway

Akira stood in front of Sakura while staring down Sosuke. "You don't have to do this Sosuke. Nothing good will come out of it later." She tried reasoning with him while mentally finding a way out. I must do something about him otherwise he'll keep following us. But first I must get Sakura somewhere safe. "Trying to talk your way out of this won't save you this time. I have no choice but to take this route and neither do you." Sosuke replied as his eyes flashed dangerously. Sakura stood behind Akira with a slight curious look on her face. "But if you really don't want to hurt us why are you doing it?" Sakura meekly asked. Sosuke craned his head to look around Akira at Sakura. If anyone noticed his facial features soften at the sight of her. She reminds me of my daughter with the way she's looking at me. But, no matter what I will see them again. Sosuke without hesitation charged forward with unbelievable speed towards the two ladies with his sword pointed forward. Akira quickly turned around diving to the ground covering Sakura as they felt chipped stone raining down over their heads. Sosuke's attack had left a large dent in the stone pillar just above their heads. Akira jumped up while pulling Sakura and gave the Princess a rough push towards the locked double doors behind the two. "Sakura, you're going to have to find us a way out of here. I'll handle him as best as I can." Akira said before feeling a sudden surge of magic pulsing from her hands. Out of complete curiosity she unknowningly touched her hands over one another causing a sword to emerge in her hand. "What?..." She voiced confused before lightly gasping as she heard a loud cracking sound in her head.

Meanwhile, Sakura standing at the double doors stare at them blankly. Without realizing what she's doing she places her hand on it as the dark magic coating the door tries to absorb her into it. Not resisting or even knowing what she's doing, she pushes against the magic on the door as her hand starts glowing with light. Why does this feel so warm? Almost as if someone is calling out to me from somewhere. She thought dreamily. Syaoran and the others on the opposite side of the door started shouting the twos' names in hopes of getting a response back. Sakura ends up putting both her hands on the door as the light starts to get stronger and brighter. Akira on the other hand is in a dead lock with Sosuke as their swords are clashed together. "How!? You've never had a sword before and yet your on par with me!?" Sosuke yelled in frustration. Akira stayed quiet as she applied more force on her side. Sosuke went slack then pushed her back full force as she stumbled backwards. Akira landed on her behind while staring up at Sosuke in a daze. Why is she being so quiet suddenly? Her energy is much different than before. Damnit! I'll have to use that man's method to finish this off afterall. Sosuke thought grumpy. "No screw that imbecile I'll finish this my way!" Sosuke shouted before completely glowing green then charged towards Sakura full force.

Everything happened at the same time resulting in many things at once. Sosuke charging at Sakura full force, Sakura shattering the darkness on the door, the door bursting opening with their friends running in to their aid, Akira speedily appearing in front of Sakura with her sword raised and mumbling words as she faced Sosuke, Sosuke letting out a full powered yell as he slashed his sword, then a bright light and huge explosion causing everyone in the room to be blown off their feet. When the dust settle everyone sat up looking around confused. "What just happened?" Nina asked as she helped Alex up. A few nods and mumbles were her answer. "It seems the Princess is still lucky as ever?" Kurogane said looking over at Syaoran holding an unconscious Sakura. Fai who normally is the first to speak quietly went over to Akira. "Autumn-chan?" Fai asked worriedly. Everyone turned their head as Akira walked over to Syaoran covered in blood before sitting on her knees in front of him holding a white feather bathed in a glowing light. "It's Sakura's feather!? But, how did Akira get it?" Mokona asked worriedly. Akira didn't speak as she just sat there holding the feather closer to Sakura as the feather sank into her. Taiki and Justin looked at each other before both going to sit next to Akira. "Akira what happened to Sosuke?" Taiki asked cautiously.

Akira turned looking at her with emotionless eyes not responding. Nina walked over and sat in front of Akira. "Aki…you're scaring us say something." Nina pleaded worried before grabbing her hand gently. Taiki grabbed Akira's other hand while looking at her concerned as well. "Akira-san whats going on? You seem different?" Taiki questioned confused by the feeling she was getting. Justin looked down into his childhood friend's hand and stared at the sword in it. "Akira, where did you get this sword from?" He questioned going to touch it. Akira sprang up out of reflex and jumped back away from him while clutching her sword. Everyone stared at her out of surprise at her reaction tensed up as her eyes glowed a brighter purple. The fighters of the group stared at one another before coming to a silent agreement. Syaoran turned to Taiki and handed Sakura over to her, while Justin gently moved Alex over to Nina. Mokona waddled over to the four and sat in Alex's lap. "Wwhat are you about to do Nii-san?" Alex asked fearfully. Justin raised his fingers as magic swirled at the tip.

"Kid this is your last chance to put the sword down before we have to resort to violence." Kurogane warned. Akira looked at him blankly before sensing magic coming from behind her and jumped out the way. Fai sat with the others while staring at the scene in front of him sadly. "Autumn-chan…. why didn't you say something in advance?" He voiced lowly. The three around him turned to look at him confused. "Fai-san you know what's wrong with Akira-chan?" Taiki asked concerned. Fai looked at the three before turning back to the fight with a melancholy look on his face. "I can only speculate what's wrong with her but other than that, I'm not too sure." He answered. Nina growled before sitting Alex on the ground next to her then grabbing the front part of Fai's clothes. "Out with it Wizard now! I can tell when your lying! So, if you know how to fix this you better speak up now!" Nina yelled directly into his face while glaring at him. Fai's expression turned scared for a second before turning to look at Akira.

Location: Back to the Fight Taking Place in Front of Them

Syaoran charged at Akira while aiming a kick for her sword arm. Akira jumped back faster than normal while gathering wind in the palm of her right hand. "Since when can Akira-san use magic regularly?" Syaoran asked confused. Justin stared at his childhood friend confused and concerned. What the hell is happening here? Akira….what have you been hiding from us this whole time? "I don't know but my concern is that she's faster and it seems she's adept at using it." Justin voiced back before blocking a spell that came flying at them. Akira tilted her head to the side while watching the three across from her. She then looked around the three at the four sitting in the background watching as Nina threatened Fai. "Kid! Stop this nonsense! Don't you want to help the princess?" Kurogane tried reasoning to her. Akira set her sights on Sakura laying in Taiki's arms unconscious before rapidly casting the wind spell in her hand on herself and bolting straight towards her. "Akira! No!" Justin shouted in worry but before he could react Syaoran has sprinted pass him at unparallel speed and ended up kicking Akira directly into a wall full force.

Syaoran didn't even give her the chance to recover as he stood over her and kicked her in the gut a second time. Akira let off a silent shout of pain as blood dripped from the corner of her mouth. Justin and everyone else present stood frozen staring at the scene they just witnessed. Syaoran stared down at Akira with cold, inhumane eyes, as he decided to go in for another attack. Akira looked up at him with tears flowing from her slowly dimming purple eyes. "S-syaoran…" She whispered brokenly to him as he summoned his sword this time. He went to slash at her when an insignia popped up in front the two. "No way…. isn't that?" Nina whispered shocked. Between the two appeared Fei Wong Reed's insignia coming from Akira's chest. "It seems I was too late to stop his plans from coming to fruition again." A familiar voice asked them. Everyone turned to Mokona seeing a holo image of Yuuko with a solemn face.

Hope your enjoying the story readers until next chapter. I also plan to cap this experimental story at 10 chapters or less. So, everyone bare with me as I try to piece this all together on paper from my jumbled mind. Hopefully, since im up to date in not only the Kingdom Hearts games and Tsubasa Chronicles I can make this whole thing blend and make sense. Until next time!
