I know it's kinda short, dont yell at me, Just wanted this to be in its own chapter
Natsu woke up with a smile. Yesterday was really fun for him, even though he didn't play games or anything.
Just being close to her was enough for him.
He remembered what she said when she was in the hospital, talking to herself thinking no one heard her.
"if it's you, Natsu, I will make sure to love you here just as much as I loved you in my dream"
Even though he didn't know if she meant it in a friendly way or romantically, he still was happy she said that.
Natsu never really got to talk to her when she was in school, mostly because she was always reading and he didn't want to interrupt her. Lucy always stayed alone, with a book in hand.
He loved how her face changed as she read a book, how she smiled when she saw a butterfly fly past her, how she stifled a laugh when someone said the wrong thing in class, how worried she looked when she saw him fight with his friends.
Most of all, he loved how she reacted to his stories when she was still sleeping.
"I should show her the games one day, she would love them since she liked the stories" he told himself as he went to wash up and ger ready for breakfast.
A few minutes later, Natsu went down to the dining room to meet Grandine and Zeref both already eating the food.
"Imma head out, meeting the guys for a bit before going to dad" He said as he took a toast and coffee to go with him.
"Allright dear" Grandine answered smiling.
"I'll go to father after I finish my work" Zeref said, receiving a nod from Natsu.
With that, Natsu took his car keys and left to the club house.
The club house was their place of full freedom and fun. It had an arcade, diner, karaoke, bar and a dance area for the evenings.
And it was the best place for them since it allowed 16 y/o to come to the bar and dance areas even though there was alcohol served, but they never got to buy any.
"Flame-ass" Natsu heard someone shout to him as he got out of his 67' Mustang which his father rebuilt and fixed for him.
"Hey Guys" Natsu nodded when he saw the guys at the bench near the entrance to the club.
"What, no insult?" Gajeel remarked as Natsu stood in front of them.
"Don't feel like it" Natsu retorted with a shrug.
"Where were you? You didn't answer our messages or calls this weekend" Gray asked.
"He was probably with bunny girl" Gajeel snickered before continuing, "He can't leave his girlfriend alone for a second"
"True, ever since she woke up, he barely stayed with us after school, he ran as fast as he can to see her before going to his father" Jellal agreed.
"I was at her house yesterday" Natsu shrugged and looked to the side, mostly to hide his little blush.
"What?" All boys asked, they didn't really think Natsu ever got to actually talk to her, now he says he was at her house?
"Ye, apparently out parents know each other, so her parents invited us for dinner" He explained.
"Small world" Gajeel commented.
"Their world isn't that small, rich families somehow all know each other" Jellal remarked.
"True, but from what I understood, they knew each other since childhood" Natsu replied to them.
"I thought your parents were both born and raised here" Gray said, remembering that Lucy transferred from Corcus.
"They did, and Lucy's mom is originally from Magnolia too. They all grew up together, and even when she left to Corcus for Uni, they still kept in touch" Natsu shrugged again.
"So, in a way, you two were destined to meet" Jellal concluded with a nod.
"I guess" Natsu blush a bit and looked away again.
"So, did you two talk?" Gray asked after a few seconds.
They were all concerned about her, even though they never spoke to one another. Both the boys and the girls felt horrible when they heard what had happened, and came to visit her and brought her presents and letters. For some reason, they always felt a need to make sure she was okay, that she wasn't bullied or anything.
When she only just transferred, some kids started talking about Lucy, saying she was a stock-up since she had so much money and that is why she never talked to anyone. But the group new better. They saw she was scared, and being bullied didn't really help. So, they stopped it.
When they heard someone talk bad about her, they made sure to stop it, even if they had to right for it. They hated that kids didn't understand her and judged her like that for no reason. But not even Levy could get close to her. She was always walking with her head low, as if trying to be invisible to the world.
When the accident happened, they felt horrible at first, when it looked like she wasn't going to make it. As they went to visit her, they all bowed that if she woke up, they will befriend her and make sure she won't be alone.
"Yeah, a little" Natsu nodded.
"How is she?" Jellal asked.
"Much better than what the doctors expected" Natsu grinned as he said that.
That was a relief for them.
"We should tell everyone about this" Gray decided.
"Yes, the girls would be happy to hear these news" Jellal agreed.
"When will she come back to school?" Gajeel asked as he typed on his phone.
"Dunno, maybe in a few weeks? She still needs to fully recover" Natsu scratched his head as he tried to remember what the doctors said.
"She will miss the Halloween party?" Gray asked wide eyes.
"I forgot about that" Natsu replied. He forgot its October already.
"It's in two weeks Natsu" Jellal informed as he checked his calendar on his phone.
"I'll ask her later" Natsu decided, he was going to ask her if she would go, but he forgot with all that had happened over the last two weeks.
"Let's go play some games, I gotta go see my dad soon" Natsu said as he started walking towards the building.
"you're on" The boys replied and followed him inside.
