"I was told that you gave my name as yours,Lady Synn Oropherion." He smiled at me,

"You should be on Asgard where it's safe from all of this." He started to stroke my face and hair, "This isn't your fight."

"Maybe not. But I can't leave you to face this battle alone." I told him as I started to cry, "I can't…

I just can't."

" ...SHhh... Don't waste your energy." He hugged me.

I wanted to be brought here. Please don't send me back." I swallowed a few sobs.

He held my face between his palms.

"Please?"

He kissed me.

"Please."

He kissed me again.

"Please."

For a third time he kissed me longer more passionately his talented tongue playing with mine I felt his knee slide over me onto my bed until I reluctantly groaned and pulled back.

"We're going to get carried away." I warned.

He groaned and fell slack against me.

"Thranduil?" I started to panic.

He moved his fingers softly against my cheek, "I'm okay, My Darling. Just let me lie here for a moment." He whispered.

I sighed leaving kisses and butterfly kisses along his neck and shoulder. .

"You are not helping, My Love."

"When did I say I'd help, My Thranduil?"

"Your Thranduil?"

"Forgive me, My Lord, My King." I stumbled over my words.

"Relax." He laughed as his long, silky, Elven blonde hair cascaded around me and mixed with mine," I like that title better."

"I meant to say, My Love but-"

"That's not what you said." He and I laughed.

"It came out all wrong."

"But oddly right. Wouldn't you agree on that?"

I encircled his waist with my arms, "My Thranduil."

"What I would give for you to be mine."

"Well, tonight, I am." She kissed.

I used his stunned silence to flip him on his back.

Tonight I am not Lady Sigyn Odinson, Princess of Asgard but I am Lady Synn Oropherion, Queen of Alfheim." I corrected myself, "Queen of Mirkwood. My heart has always belonged to you, Thranduil."

First, he smiled at this then he shook his head, "I could never ask you to compromise yourself."

"You don't want me?" I asked in my confusion he flipped me back.

He kissed me, "Don't ever say that. After this war is fought and won and if you still want to do this. I'll be here."

"We may not get a second chance after."

And he knew I was right pressed his forehead against mine, "Just being here with you-in your presence is enough."

"At least lay beside me tonight, the war can wait."

"The war can wait." He agreed.

"Thranduil?"

"Yes?"

Sometimes I dream about you."

He looked at me as he climbed into the bed beside me, "Okay?"

"So if I scream your name in the middle of the night that's why.."

"Why would you scream my name?"

"Well I tried to show you but you didn't want it."

"Come here." He laughed.

I lied my head on his chest.

"Thranduil?"

"Yes?"

"I love you."

He kissed my hair.
