Probably in every person's life, there is a moment when you are delighted. You realize that life should be just like this. Every insignificant detail seems to be pleasant. Silly, stupid things make you smile, and in general, you are happy that you breathe. Then, from the back of your mind, thought reminds you that nothing lasts forever. With a swift movement of a hand, you cast away unwanted thoughts, deepening in the whirlpool of bliss.

Elvein had this exact period. She was in love and happy with it. The notebook was already packed with their correspondence. Therefore, Demian's owl quickly brought new ones.

On the third by-number notebook, Demian started drawing too. He drew funny stick figures. His indicator was one wearing a sun hat with flowers, Elvein's - figure wearing a triangle dress and long hair. Of course, he was much less talented in drawing than Elvein, but his figures moved. Hugging and waving a hand to a girl, sometimes, one would appear from the corner of the paper, "asking" her - "What are you doing, Elvein?" That, earned the girl's cordial laugh every single time.

Frequently, invisible Demian would sneak into the castle, grab Elvein unnoticed by everyone else, and drag her into an empty classroom. Elvein found it adorable and funny, so she always expected when Demian would try to grab her. Sometimes, she even teased him, eluding his hands at the very last moment or disappearing into the girl's lavatory. Life has never been so joyful.

Behind the playfulness of two completely infatuated ones was something much more significant than chemistry bonding two bodies. The spiritual exhibitionism they experienced towards each other was more powerful. Everything prune, artificial and stilted, was nonexistent. Yearning to understand one another, the urge to open up to each other was exhaustless. They spent long hours on the outskirts of Hogsmeade and Hogwarts, sitting on meadows, Demian telling Elvein of his feelings towards everything and anything, like early mornings, lakes and oceans, magical creatures, and human nature itself. He did not hold back in revealing his solicitude, grief, and gloom. Elvein listened, genuinely understanding and answering with equal honesty, refusing to hide her heartache, baring her soul with equal selflessness. They looked at the world with each-others eyes, Elvein observing the grotesque side of the universe while showing Demian beauty she saw everywhere: in wind swaying tops of the trees, pebbles on the bottom of the lake, even in the long-forgotten ruins sadly leaning heavy bodies on earth. They lived with the present. The past was irrelevant, the future - remote.

The most enjoyable part was dancing with Demian. Ekrizdis was creating improvised dance floors whenever and wherever. He took her to Astronomy tower the first time, where they danced till the middle of the night. Elvein's father hired a dance tutor for her when she was still a child, discovering girls' dancing talent in her early years, while Demian, as in many other things, was succeeding on pure talent, quickly learning new dance moves and surprising Elvein with incredible improvisations. They danced and embraced each other. Sometimes a timid but always passionate kiss, his heartbeat on her cheek, while the man who carried the ocean with him encircled her in his embrace. There was nothing on this earth Elvein could have dreamed about.

As promised, Demian made a new path for Elvein. At the entrance to a small garden, behind the second statue on the left, she had to tap with the wand twice, saying, "Demian awaits." A long corridor lit with torches, was to open a path, leading her to the outskirts of Hogsmeade, under the lonely maple tree.

Today, Elvein was going through this corridor for the first time. Sweaty fingers held the wooden box, which she squeezed hard. Finally, the long tunnel ended, and she stepped into the Hogsmeade's darkness. She saw Demian, standing just twenty feet away. Even this distance was unbearable, so she ran into his open arms.

"I have a present for you." Panted out Elvein, happy for once, being prepared for a celebration.

"Really?! Where is it?" Demian was excited, just like a kid.

Only for a few seconds, did Elvein's heart fall. She saw that orphan Ekrizdis was never spoiled with presents. Not in childhood, nor now. Forgoing sad thoughts, she gave him a wooden box.

The young man opened the present with impatient fingers, discovering a golden pocket watch. On one side, it was an ordinary watch; on the other side, plates had lettered initials D&E, twisting beautifully around each other with alluring ornaments.

Elvein watched him excited:

"Push the button!"

Plate with ornaments was lifted, revealing a strange clock face, with signs "Home"; "School"; "On the way"; "In danger"; "Lost"; "With Demian." The single arrow had Elvein's name on it.

"I have ordered a watch, then changed it to my liking. This way, you will always know that I am safe and won't get worried."

Demian stood unmoved, staring at the clock's face. His features had no trace of emotion. Elvein laughed nervously:

"Say something, a little bit, and I'll get worried."

Ekrizdis hugged her in such a swift movement that Elvein staggered.

"Thank you!" He mumbled in her neck with a broken voice.

Elvein tore a little, hugging him back. For some time, they stood like that, then, Demian said:

"I've got a present for you too. And now, I'm the nervous one."

"Demian, if that's more jewelry, we will fight."

"Yes and no." He scratched his head, nervously, taking from his pocket a golden necklace, which had a small planet on it, one more tiny sun, which spread warmth and light.

"It took me time, but I succeeded. This one will never go out, nor will it burn anything. You can even wear it on you, under clothes. No matter what the weather brings, your sun will always be with you. Don't cry." Demian furrowed.

"I'm sorry... Just.. how do you know? Always.. even when I have no idea .." She mumbled with a teary smile. "Sorry. It's perfect!"

The couple stood there for a long time, hugging each other. Then Elvein broke out from Ekrizdis' embrace.

"I need to go. Happy Valentine's Day, Demian."

"I love you, Elvein."

"Since the very first day!"
