8- Con Job.

It was another day in the Autobot base. Dawn sat on Wheeljack's shoulder as he walked in the main hall.

"All right. Chores are done. How about if now we do some training with my pokémon?" Dawn suggested.

"Piplup." The penguin pokémon nodded.

"I'm not sure, Dawn. Last time I helped your pokémon practice I ended picking dirt out of my articulators." Wheeljack pointed, until he noticed that Dawn and Piplup dropped their faces a little disappointed. "Oh, but I hear there's going to be a pokémon contest soon on Pewter City." He suggested, trying to cheer them up.

They met with the rest of the group, who was in the same room.

"Optimus, I'm receiving a signal on a restricted band. It appears to be coming from a starship inside this solar system." Ratchet reported while he identified the signal. "It's an Autobot identification beacon."

"So, there are other Bots out there?" Serena asked.

"The masses scattered to the galaxies when Cybertron finally went dark." Arcee explained.

"But Cons have been known to bait traps with false beacons." Hot Rod added.

"Do you think this could be one of those cases?" Ritchie asked.

"Unknown vessel, this is Autobot Outpost Omega One. Identify yourself." Optimus demanded.

"I've received warmer welcomes even from the Decepticon combat brigades." A voice said through com-link.

"Seaspray?!" Wheeljack recognized surprised before approaching to the terminal. "Ha! You old Barnacle Butt! What are you doing all the way out here?"

"Wheeljack? Is that you?" The Autobot called Seaspray asked surprised. "You old Con Crusher. What's with all the security?"

"The rock we are on is crawling with Cons. How soon can you get here and even the odds?"

"Sometime tomorrow. That if I put metal to the pedal."

"Another Autobot is coming here. Isn't that great?" Bonnie asked with excitement as Moonracer nodded.

"Dedenne." The little pokémon nodded.

"Seaspray? I know of him by reputation only. Can you verify his voiceprint?"

"One thousand percent the real deal, Elita. I would recognize that voice anywhere." Wheeljack reassured.

"We will send landing coordinates, Seaspray. Safe journey." Optimus communicated.

"See you soon, buddy. I'll make sure you get a proper welcome."

"I'm certain you will, pal." Seaspray said goodbye before the com-link deactivated.

"So, who's your number one fan?" Moonracer joked.

"Ha, an old buddy. Seaspray and I are known partners. We were part of the same war unit: the Wreckers." He said crushing his fists. "Which means the Cons are gonna wish he never found us."

Unfortunately, Seaspray's transmission was intercepted by Soundblaster. While he reproduced the entire conversation, he identified the Autobot and showed him to Darkscream.

"A war hero, hum? We haven't too much time. Makeshift." Darkscream called as he already had an idea.

The one called Makeshift, a mysterious dark grey Decepticon, responded to his superior's call. Then Soundblaster inserted one of his tentacles on Makeshift's torso, transmitting some info. That caused Makeshift's body parts to start changing.

"I too know how to prepare a proper welcome." Darkscream smirked.

The next day, everyone was monitoring Seaspray's approaching.

"Seaspray's ship is approaching the landing zone." Arcee saw.

"You think he's here to visit?" Ash asked.

"Or maybe he's coming to stay." Clemont deduced.

"Hum, in that case, he'll have to find his own human partner." May pointed. "Hey, maybe you could be his, Misty."

"What?" She suddenly said. "Slow down, May. I still don't know him, no one of us do, only Wheeljack."

"I heard Wheeljack mention a few things about." Sideswipe called. "It appears Seaspray is one of the few Autobots specialized in battling on environments most cybertronians would have difficulties. In brief, he's an expert in aquatic and underwater combat."

"Really? Then that's perfect for you, Misty." May repeated.

"You are an expert of water type pokémon and you love the sea. Tracey supported.

"Well…" Misty started, still unsure.

"Give it a try. You will never know if you don't find it by yourself." Ash encouraged.

"And how knows? Seaspray could be full of surprises. Maybe you and this Autobot could get along." Max added.

As they talked, they heard Ratchet preparing the ground bridge.

"Ground bridge cycling up." He reported, but suddenly some sparks came out, until Ratchet punched the main controls. "Blasted scraplets. Equipment hasn't been the same since the infestation."

"So, Seaspray's gonna land halfway around the world and then you'll bridge him here?" Tracey asked confused.

"It shouldn't be better showing him where the base is?" Ritchie added.

"We can't risk revealing the location of our base. Just in case the Decepticons are tracking Seaspray's ship." Optimus explained.

Meanwhile, Dawn saw Wheeljack walking back and forth anxiously.

"Wow, I've never seen you so nervous." She admitted.

"That's because you're gonna love Seaspray. In the Wreckers, we were like a big family. So tonight, when he's finally with us, we're gonna party!"

"Yujuuu! Party!" Both Max and Bonnie yelled in excitement.

Then, the alarm sounded, making everyone to check the screen, which revealed bad news.

"Bogeys. Closing fast to Seaspray's position." Moonracer reported.

"Con scum." Hot Rod cursed.

Somewhere above the Undella Bay on the Unova region, Seaspray's ship was flying like normal until suddenly six flying Decepticons fired at it in their cybertronian jet forms. He evaded the shots until they ended hitting the ship, making it to crash land on the shore. The Decepticons transformed and landed to check out the crash site with weapons ready, but a laser shot which came from the ship took one down. The others aimed to a new Autobot that came out from the smoke with a laser gun in place of one of his hands; one blue with yellow and white touches and who looked like his body was like a scuba gear.

"If you came to ruin my day, you're going to need more than that." Seaspray challenged.

The Decepticons opened fire, but Seaspray managed to dodge and jump above them. He punched one hard at landing, other tried to hit him but Seaspray grabbed his arm and threw him over his shoulders. Next, he punched one in the face before dodging other's attacks and did a twirl jump. Once behind him, he ripped the Decepticon's arm off with a martial art before kicking him aside, and used the arm to hit other's head a couple of times before sending him flying backwards. It seemed like, because they were fighting with the water under their feet, Seaspray was moving faster than the Cons. Now there was only one Con left.

"I thought you Decepticons could do better." He observed as he changed his hands and pulled out some kind of sharp harpoons as melee combat weapons and charged at his last opponent, dodging the shots.

Darkscream watched the fight from inside the Nemesis.

"Swiftly. Before the Autobots arrive." He ordered to Soundblaster.

Meanwhile, Warpath, Bumblebee, Arcee, Moonracer, Hot Rod, Sideswipe and Wheeljack were getting ready to assist their comrade.

"Open the bridge, Ratchet. We're missing all the action!" Warpath shouted.

Ratchet finally activated it. "I'll prepare sickbay."

"Ha, who for? The Cons? This is Seaspray we're talking about." Wheeljack scoffed in disbelief before the seven Autobots went through the portal.

They arrived to the fight scene ready to fight, but it was not necessary anymore. They saw all the Cons dead and Seaspray stabbing one of his harpoons in the last one's center, neutralizing him.

Wheeljack laughed. "I taught him that."

Seeing the newcomers, Seaspray walked toward them retrieving his harpoons. "Did you really think I needed a hand here?"

"What? And spoil the show?" Hot Rod scoffed.

"You missed one." Moonracer pointed.

But before the surviving Con could get up, Seaspray fired one harpoon at him, without even look.

He finally met up with the other Autobots. "If this is the best you got, this planet is in more danger than I thought."

"Seaspray!" Wheeljack said giving him a surprise hug. "It's been ages!"

The others were shocked by Wheeljack's reaction, but they thought it was adorable.

"Hehe, I see you haven't changed as well, you old Con Crusher." Seaspray expressed happy.

"I know you prefer environments like this, but let's take you home. It may be dry, but it's more comfortable."

Moments later, all the Autobots returned back to base by the ground bridge. Then when Ratchet turned it off, more sparks came from its controls, causing a lot of electricity to travel around its surface and Ratchet groan.

"Clemont, shut it down." Ratchet asked.

Clemont managed to use his equipment to deactivate the ground bridge's controls. "I think we should take a close look to the ground bridge terminal before using it again."

"I agree."

At the same time…

"Hey Seaspray, come and meet my other buddies: Dawn and Piplup. Do not let their size fool you, they can wreck with the best of us." Wheeljack introduced.

"Hi." Dawn saluted.

"Piplup." Her pokémon followed.

Seaspray approached them. "You're making sure Wheeljack stays out of trouble?"

"We try. But because as a Wrecker he needs to handle trouble, we make our best to help him." Dawn answered.

"By the way, it is true that you're specialized in battling in aquatic fields?" Max asked.

"True as how Wheeljack is good with explosives." Seaspray nodded.

"Then meet Misty. She also loves the sea." He said introducing her.

"Hi…" She said nervous.

"So, you like to take a splash for a while?" Seaspray asked.

"Uh, yeah. And I'm also specialized in water type pokémon, the ones which fights better at the same element as you."

"Something tells me you and I are gonna get along just fine." Seaspray said, making Misty smile. Next, he turned over to their leader. "Optimus Prime, it's a privilege."

"Likewise, soldier. What have you to report from your long journey?"

"I've been jumping from one planet to another, searching for signs of friends or enemies. Now, I find both."

"We are few, but strong. We have suffered losses, but we have grown. And we would relish welcoming a new member into our fold." Optimus offered.

"I would be honored."

"Then let's get this party started! Wrecker style!" Wheeljack announced as he pounded his hand on Seaspray's back, and both Wreckers did a chest pump.

"Oh joy." Ratchet moaned with sarcasm.

Meanwhile, inside the Nemesis, Darkscream and Soundblaster were both walking down a corridor while they were having a conversation.

"The moment Makeshift passed through their ground bridge we lost his tracking signal. The Autobot base is no doubt heavily shielded to prevent us to locating it. Ah, no matter. I have complete faith in Makeshift." Darkscream summarized while they entered in a room guarded by two heavy soldiers, one in which they seemed to have a prisoner, the real Seaspray. "Our inside man is already inside."

Seaspray, who was hooked by electrified chains, noticed their presence. "Tell Megatron he's fragged in the head if he thinks Wheeljack won't recognize your impostor. Nobody knows any Wrecker better than him."

Darkscream groaned in annoyance. "Haven't you heard? I lead the Decepticons now."

"You? I swear I haven't seen you before, but your voice sounds familiar. Is that you, Scream? Ha, what a look change!" Seaspray mocked.

That made Darkscream so mad that he was about to strike him, but Soundblaster grabbed his hand, telling him to not do it.

"Yes, yes, he may yet be of use." Darkscream admitted as Soundblaster released his hand. "Makeshift is very good at keeping up appearances. He need only fool your friends long enough to open their ground bridge from within. So that I may finally learn the location of the Autobot base, and send in my strike team to stain its floor with the spilled energon of Optimus Prime."

That night, Clemont installed some amplifiers and allowed the group to play some music. Tracey, May, Misty, Dawn, Ritchie, Piplup, Sparky, Pikachu and Dedenne were dancing listening a particular song at that moment (What kind of pokemon are you?) while Max, Bonnie, Moonracer and Bumblebee watched. About the others…

"Come on, Seaspray. Show us what you got." Wheeljack cheered before Seaspray threw a giant metal ball at Sideswipe, who caught it.

"Hahaha, nice lob." He said before passing it to Warpath.

Warpath caught it and threw again to Wheeljack, and they continued doing the same while the rest simply stood and observed.

"What are they doing?" Serena asked.

"It's called lobbing. The favorite pass time on Cybertron." Arcee answered.

"Especially among the warrior class." Hot Rod added while Ash was sat on his shoulder.

"Come on, Max. Show us what you know." May encouraged.

"Oh, alright." He said getting up and starting making a few moves, that the others recognized.

"Of course, the robot." Bonnie said laughing before joining him.

Bumblebee watched their moves closely before he started imitating them.

"(I got it.)"

That made Moonracer laugh, while Ratchet, who also saw the entire scene, simply groaned.

"I don't understand how you allowed them to make such noise. It doesn't bother you while you try to help me here?"

"Not actually, Ratchet. The trick is simply, you only have to ignore it."

"It may be simple for you, Clemont."

"Uh, where's Optimus and Elita?" Ash noticed.

"Went for a drive. They don't party." Hot Rod explained.

"And they also took the chance to take a drive just the two of them together. It's been a while since the last time they were alone." Arcee added.

"Yes, I know that feeling." Serena said looking at Ash, who smiled her.

"Coming at you." Warpath warned before throwing the ball.

Warpath threw the ball with so much strength that it bounced of Seaspray's hands and slipped right against the wall, falling on the ground bridge's controls and busting them.

"Okay, that's something too much hard to ignore." Clemont said, a little annoyed.

"You know we are attempting to perform sensitive calibrations here?! And if the ball would have fallen closer, Clemont could have ended hurt!" Ratchet complained.

"Sorry doc, guess we're a little charged up." Seaspray apologized before taking the ball and heading back with the others. But then, he stopped at seeing the ground bridge. "You built this bridge from scratch, huh?"

"I did." Ratchet answered.

"That's quite a feat of engineering."

"Yes, it is."

"Something wrong with it?"

"We didn't like the way it sounded the last jump. We decided to put it in shutdown until we end repairing it." Clemont explained.

"What if you need to use it?"

"Oh, we can't disrupt the defrag process without causing irreparable damage." Ratchet added.

"So, uh, how long will the defrag take?"

"A few hours if we're lucky. Maybe longer." Ratchet ended, getting back to work.

"Hah." Seaspray simply said.

But without even noticing it, the "false" Seaspray smirked. Meanwhile, on the Nemesis, Darkscream was starting to lose his patience.

"Makeshift still hasn't opened their ground bridge, or otherwise transmitted their coordinates. His disguise may be flawless, but he won't fool the Autobots forever."

Back to base, Wheeljack was now telling a story to the gang.

"So there we were: no communications, low on energon, surrounded by Cons. And then what I'm up to?" Wheeljack told, earning the gang' full attention, making him laugh. "Tell them, buddy."

"Well, what he does best." Seaspray said with a thumb up.

"Then I know what it is." Dawn anticipated.

Wheeljack laughed. "I chuck my last grenade smack into the main heat exchanger."

"Yeah, he thought it was the best idea at the time." Seaspray added.

"The joint went supernova!" Wheeljack ended.

"Awesome." May, Bonnie and Max expressed.

"Pika pika." Pikachu told to Sparky.

"Pikachu." Sparky answered.

"Looks like you Wreckers know how to enjoy in middle of a fight." Moonracer deduced.

"Then you should see our pal Bulkhead. He's still picking shrapnel out of his backside." Wheeljack shared.

"I'm not surprised, giving what I heard about the size of his backside." Sideswipe said laughing.

"(I wonder if we could hide Fixit inside it.)"

Everyone laughed when Max translated what Bumblebee said. But Seaspray seemed more interested on Clemont and Ratchet's work with the ground bridge.

"There it is. My signature: one grenade, one shot." Wheeljack ended. Then he noticed his friend wasn't paying enough attention. "Hey, you are alright?"

That snap Seaspray out of his daze. "What?"

"You don't seem like yourself."

"What do you mean?" Seaspray asked, getting up.

"I don't know. You seem quiet."

"Ah. I've been a long time alone piloting a ship. I should take it easy before becoming like you now."

"I know, me and Bee have patrol in the morning. You can come with." Hot Rod offered.

"Well, let's go now."

"And break up the party? Come on, the gang's loving you." Warpath said pointing at the group.

"Wait until we tell them about the battle of Darkmount Pass." Wheeljack said.

"You tell them. You're better at it. How about if Misty here shows me the rest of your base?" Seaspray suggested.

"Oh, yeah, sure. Go ahead."

"Now is your time, Misty. The right moment to connect." Serena supported.

"Okay, then let's go." Misty accepted as she got up and went with Seaspray.

Once they were gone, Hot Rod and Arcee looked each other, thinking that Wheeljack may not be fine.

"You're alright?" Hot Rod asked.

"Yeah. Just…out of sorts, I guess." Wheeljack answered.

"Don't tell me you're jealous."

"That Misty's making a new friend? Come on, is good for her to know her new partner. Something…something's just not right about Seaspray." He finally spoke.

"Wheeljack, really? He's traveled galaxies. You haven't seen him for eons. He could just be rocket lagged or…well, Bots do change, you know?" Arcee added.

"No. Wreckers like me or Seaspray don't change that easily."

Meanwhile, inside the Nemesis, the real Seaspray was still locked in the room. He groaned trying to set free without success, he only made the Decepticon heavy soldier who was guarding him to approached and point his weapon on his head.

"You're not going anywhere, Autobot."

But when the Con was about to return to his post, Seaspray smirked and wrapped his legs around the Con's head, making him to fire wildly.

"And that's why you should never fail to watch your back."

Then Seaspray crushed the Con's neck, making him to shot at the terminal which controlled his chains, releasing him. Meanwhile, Misty and the false Seaspray were walking around the base's corridors.

"Energon stockpile, power generator, armory…I think that's all. I'm still the newbie when it comes to know this place." Misty showed.

"I know how you feel, girl. Where is this place located exactly?" The fake Seaspray asked.

"I thought you liked places a little more…humid." Misty reminded, making the impostor stare at her nervous. "Ah, never mind, I guess you should also know it because it's your main center of operations. Right inside Mt. Moon, outside near Pewter City. Thought I don't think that will mean something for you yet."

"Can't say it does. So, uh, anyway out here besides bridging?"

"Why? You're not planning to leave already, are you? We even didn't have time to know each other better." Misty said, looking at him with sad eyes.

"Easy girl, just for precaution. Just in the case like, you know, I need to get you out in case of emergency."

Misty sighed in relief. "Come on, I'll show you."

Meanwhile, as the rest debated about Seaspray's strange behavior, Ratchet and Clemont were checking the ground bridge's repairing progress.

"Ratchet, the readings indicate that the ground bridge is 90 percent repaired." Clemont reported.

"Almost there."

"Look, I know Seaspray better than anyone." Wheeljack reassured to everyone.

"Hey." Seaspray called as he and Misty returned. "What are you guys talking about?"

"Wheeljack was telling us…about you and him…" Moonracer started.

"I was telling them our great adventure, at the battle of Darkmount Pass." Wheeljack interrupted.

"That's a heck of a story." Seaspray opined.

"Yep. Tell it." Wheeljack demanded, making the room got tense.

"We already heard a story for today, Jackie. So, how about after we show you a pokémon battle exhibition?" Dawn suggested.

"Dawn, stay out of this." Wheeljack said firmly.

"Wheeljack, easy." Arcee cooed gently.

"I'm not sure I…" Seaspray started.

"Tell it."

"Fine. You want to live in the past, Wheeljack?" Seaspray said in defeat, making the gang to look each other worried. "The Wreckers were trapped between a Decepticon patrol and a smelting pit. The Cons were vicious, bearing down on us with everything they had. Me and Wheeljack engaged the enemy, left them for scrap. Then he made us a way out, using their backsides as stepping stones to cross the molten metal. Isn't that how it happened?"

"Yeah, that's exactly how it happened. Except for one little thing." Wheeljack revealed, surprising the impostor. "You weren't there."

"What?" Ratchet said very low, surprised as the rest.

"Say again?" Clemont added, joining the gang.

"You'd already left the Wreckers to offer support in other operations. But you wouldn't know that if all you did was access the battle's public service record." Wheeljack theorized.

"Hold on. You mean with that…" Misty said until the discovered impostor grabbed her with his hand by surprise.

"Misty!" The gang yelled.

Hot Rod and Sideswipe tried to recover her, but the impostor evaded them and went next the ground bridge controls.

"Stay back, or I'll squeeze her into pulp." Makeshift menaced, now with his true voice. He also signaled Ratchet to not try anything.

"Seaspray, what are you doing?!" Misty asked.

"That's not Seaspray. But I know what it can only be: a shifter." Wheeljack realized.

"A what?" Bonnie asked.

"It's a kind of cybertronian which can take the form of other cybertronians and that way infiltrate their ranks, like a spy." Moonracer explained.

"I didn't expect the Cons would still have one of those." Sideswipe confessed.

"Decepticon coward. Let the girl go and face us!" Warpath demanded.

"Don't fret. Plenty of fighting to come." Makeshift reassured.

"Is there a real Seaspray?" Ash asked.

"Oh, indeed. And I expect lord Darkscream is making sport of it."

The true Seaspray was climbing up the Nemesis' hull in that moment. On topside of it, Darkscream and Soundblaster were waiting, with a whole battalion of Decepticon commandos (who turned into F1) ready for assault.

"Are you certain we are at the coordinates you supplied to Makeshift?" Darkscream asked to Soundblaster, and he nodded. "Then what is taking him?"

"Maybe they gave your boy such a hero's welcome, that he felt so touched and decided to join them." Seaspray suggested as he walked toward them.

Darkscream was shocked to see that Seaspray managed to escape. "Do you not see that you are vastly outnumbered?"

"I see some guys who might vastly enjoy watching me pound some dents into you." Seaspray mocked checking his fists.

"Destroy him!"

The entire battalion fired at Seaspray, who pulled out his harpoons and charged against them too with a battle cry. He reflected back some of the shots, taking some Vehicons. At the same time, Makeshift typed some buttons in the controls as the ground bridge's schematics showed it was completely operational.

"About time." He said opening it.

Meanwhile, Seaspray continued advancing toward the battalion reflecting shots. Darkscream decided to intervene and launched three missiles from one of his arms. Luckily, he jumped back to dodge the impact as he fired one of his harpoons at them, making them to explode before slicing the Decepticons in close combat. He even jumped above one and landed on Darkscream, making him to fall down by the landing's force. Then, he saw the ground bridge portal a few steps from him.

"I guess it's time to recover my identity."

In the base, Makeshift walked slowly at the portal with Misty struggling in his hand, trying to grab one of her poke balls, while the Autobots and the other kids tried to approach his captor.

"Let's get this party started." Makeshift announced.

Then the real Seaspray came through the vortex with a jump, and kicked Makeshift's back, making him to lost grip of the girl and being sent against the wall. Fortunately, he also noticed Misty and grabbed her before landing.

"Are you okay?" Seaspray asked.

"I…I think so." Misty answered before looking at him. "You're…really Seaspray?"

"As true as I prefer to battle in fields with water." He answered as he placed her on the floor, making her smile. "Hurry, close that door before the bad company comes through."

Darkscream was still recovering from Seaspray's attack, leaking energon on his mouth, when he saw the ground bridge in front of him.

"Enter the ground bridge, now!" He ordered.

But the portal disappeared before anyone could enter, making Darkscream scream in fury. At the other side, Makeshift pulled out his own harpoons while Seaspray already had his own prepared. Wheeljack pulled out his swords and activated his battle mask, ready to join, but Seaspray halted him with his harpoon.

"No Jackie. I will take care of him."

And the two started a sword duel, clashing their harpoons and trying to hit the other at high speed.

"Which one is the real Seaspray?" Ritchie asked.

Bonnie was about to answer, but she was confused too. "I lost track!"

During the match, Makeshift managed to get behind Seaspray and took one of his harpoons, but Seaspray hit him hard in the hand that took one from his too, and next he grabbed his opponent by the other hand and kicked him in the chest, slicing his other harpoon. Seaspray grabbed it before hitting him hard again in the chest, taking down the impostor before aiming him with one of his harpoons.

"That's Seaspray." Jackie confirmed.

Seaspray retrieved his harpoons before turning at Ratchet. "You, open the portal."

Ratchet nodded as he went to reopen the ground bridge.

"It's time to send him back with his own." Seaspray said referring to Makeshift before.

"Wait for a moment, Seaspray. First, let's give him a goodbye gift." Wheeljack suggested picking up his grenade before turning at Warpath. "All yours, big guy."

Warpath picked up Makeshift. Darkscream was still waiting until he saw the ground bridge opening again in front of everyone.

"What are you waiting for?! Go!" Darkscream ordered.

As the Decepticons entered the bridge one by one, Warpath chucked Makeshift and spun in circles before throwing him at the portal. The Decepticons saw him coming, so they ran in the opposite direction. They managed to get out of the ground bridge before Makeshift came out, only to fall over Darkscream.

"Nice lob." Seaspray congratulated Warpath.

And the ground bridge closed again before any Decepticon could sneak in.

"Please, tell me that you at least learned the location of their base."

"Indeed, lord Darkscream." Makeshift confirmed as he got up. "It is in a hidden bunker, just outside of…"

But Darkscream was not listening to him, instead he was hearing a beeping sound coming from Makeshift. He looked that it was coming from Makeshift, right on his waist: it was an active grenade.

"Whoa. Back! Back! Back!" Darkscream shouted as he pushed back everyone and changed to his alt form.

But it was too late for Makeshift, who saw the grenade when the countdown reached to zero. "Oh no."

The grenade detonated, making an explosion that consumed him and the entire battalion. Only Darkscream and Soundblaster escaped in their vehicle modes, flying around the ship.

"MAKESHIFT, YOU FOOL!"

The next day the gang was listening music and dancing, along Bumblebee and Moonracer while Arcee and Hot Rod simply watched.

Ratchet groaned while he tried to work. "It's like a recurring nightmare."

"Now that you are part of Team Prime, we need to pick up a vehicle mode for you." Wheeljack said to Seaspray.

"I have some ideas." Sideswipe added.

"Ah, about that Jackie. Now that my ship is repaired, I want to know what else I might find out there."

"Wait. You're leaving?" Max asked in disbelief.

"But why?" Bonnie added.

Although he just met them, Seaspray saw them with sad eyes.

"Huh, because some Bots never change." Wheeljack said with laughs.

"Seaspray, know that you'll always have a haven here." Optimus beamed at him.

"If I know Seaspray, maybe he never stays, but he always comes back." Wheeljack reassured before they did a last fist pump.

Moments later, all the team, except Optimus, Elita and Ratchet, bridged back to where Seaspray's ship crash landed to say him goodbye.

"Hey Jackie, you wanna come with? Like the old times. There is room for two. Who knows who we might find out there? Some of the old crew?" Seaspray offered.

Wheeljack looked back at Dawn, who lowered her head in sadness. Misty, May and Piplup put their hands on her shoulders to support her.

"Ha, it sounds like fun, buddy. But my ties are here now, with them. With her." Wheeljack clarified, cheering up Dawn.

"You surely have changed for the better." Seaspray noticed before approaching Dawn. "Listen girl, I trust you to take proper care of my favorite Wrecker."

"I give you my word that Piplup and I will take care of him." Dawn promised.

"Piplup."

"Hey, aren't you the girl Jackie mentioned? The one who likes that huge bunch of water called the ocean?" Seaspray asked turning at Misty.

"Yes."

"Be sure to be here when I'm back. I would like to have a tour guide to show me properly the places where I'll feel comfortable."

Misty smiled. "I'll be here all the time. Now, saw cheese!"

And she pulled out her phone and made a picture of both Wreckers together.
