So, this is a songfic, inspired by Seeing Other People by MacKenzie Porter. This song is so incredibly perfect for Logan and Camille during a big part of season 2. When I first heard this song, I immediately pictured it for Lomille. So I do recommend listening to the song if you are unfamiliar. Now, I did change the lyrics to suit a male perspective, so I hope you like it, I've been working on this for a bit.

Kiss and Tell

Oh my God you're so pretty and you're holding his hand in public
You never did that with me

As Camille went into the theatre with her date, Logan felt like his heart had been smashed into a thousand pieces. He knew he shouldn't feel this way, it was his idea for them to just be friends. That guy, Steve, was so confident with her and how he was around her. Logan was never like that with her, at least in public. That would mostly because he was a shy and reserved guy, but Camille deserved someone as daring as she is.

If you're trying to come here and make me jealous, hell it's working
I didn't think I would be

Admittedly, when he first saw her sitting there in his favourite blue dress, just like she said she would, he thought it was to win him back. Did she agree to go on a date to make him jealous? No, as crazy as Camille was, she wouldn't do something like that just to make him jealous. Yet, he was jealous. He wanted to be the one that Camille was laughing with and running excitedly into the theatre with.

But I am and I understand if you think I'm kinda crazy
Yeah I think I'm kinda crazy too

While Logan would be lying if he said he hadn't imagined what would happen if Camille did show up tonight, he never pictured her coming here with someone else, least of all a date. Funny, all those times people thought it was Camille who liked Logan more than he liked her and she was crazy, Logan felt like maybe after all they were wrong. Maybe he was the crazy one. After all, he was one that ended the relationship, he was the one that stupidly said he wanted to just be friends. Now, he might considered a genius, but he felt like an idiot.

'Cause here I am, I'm going back on everything I said when
I didn't know what I had to lose

The Unicorn princess wasn't that bad Logan thought as he and his three dateless best friends left the movie theatre and drove back to the apartment. Katie had already gone home from her date, which the fact that Katie was on a date was news to Kendall, luckily James explained that he 'handled' the situation. The four members of Big Time Rush entered the apartment while James explained what had happened between him, his date and his handling of Katie's date.

"And then she just left when I bought the tickets for The Unicorn Princess!" James exclaimed, making Kendall and Carlos roll their eyes. Kendall then smacked Carlos.

"Hey! You and your indecisiveness are the reason Jo left!" Kendall complained to him, and the helmet lover was going to say something but didn't. Instead he asked a question Logan wished wouldn't be brought up, "Logan what happened with you? I thought you were going with the new girl?"

Logan visibly cringed at the question. How could he tell his friends that he spent the the whole day trying to tell Camille he wanted to see other people, only to immediately regret his decision.

"Oh, um… she left," Logan said nervously.

They all laughed a bit at Logan's explanation. "Why did she leave?" Carlos asked, and Logan was really starting to get irritated with the Latino.

"Because," he paused. He knew he was better off just telling them the truth. They'd see through his lie anyway, "I called off the date," he admitted sheepishly.

James, Kendall and Carlos all gave Logan a look. Kendall's was a more knowing look. He noticed as they left Kiss and Tell that Camille was sitting a few rows ahead of them, on a date. "It's Camille, isn't it?" he asked the genius of the group.

"Look, I rather not talk about it. I don't know how I feel, or how to feel. I mean, I was the one who told her we should see other people. Heck, I had a date tonight and everything! But then I saw her and yeah. So, I'm going to bed. Night guys," he called from his spot and then quickly made his way to his bedroom. He could hear the guys call after him with questions but he couldn't make out the words, just sounds. He didn't care anymore either, he just wanted to be alone right now.

Logan got to his room and laid on his bed in silence. Only, he was running what happened earlier over and over in his mind. He kept berating himself with comments. This is your own fault. You did this. She was yours to lose, Mitchell. That's when he felt the tears running down his cheeks. He sat up and wiped his eyes. He didn't need Kendall to come in and see him crying. That would only made the leader's fixer side come out and Logan didn't want to talk about his problems. Kendall would never understand anyway, he hadn't let the perfect girl slip through his fingers.

Logan instead reached for his notebook and wrote out his feelings. It was a coping strategy he learned in therapy when he was in the sixth grade and his parents sent him to see a professional after he had a full blown panic attack after he couldn't get his room to what he believed to be perfect.

The words came easy to Logan. That was the weird thing with the genius, in social interactions, words always escaped him. But somehow, with a pen and paper, they flowed out of him with ease. He looked at his work, admiring it. It was very poetic and could be good for a song even.

I thought that seeing other people was something I wanted
But I think I hate it if I'm being honest
It kills me to see you with somebody new
Thought we should see other people
'Til I started seeing other people with you

He pushed that last thought aside and hid his notebook before finally letting out his emotions through tears. Logan had cried himself to sleep that night

Prom

I'm trying hard not to panic and get all up inside of my head
But I don't know if I can

He tried, he really tried to happy for Camille, but in reality he was panicking. If Camille won prom queen with him, Logan knew that would forever close the door on the two of them, or at least make it incredibly more challenging. Either way, he couldn't have that. He wasn't entirely sure if he still had feelings for Camille, well no that was a lie, he still had feelings for her, strong feelings, but he wasn't sure if he was ready to admit that to anyone, least of all her. He wasn't sure if he would've asked her, but he did know she was the only girl he would want to go with. He really had no one to blame but himself, he brought this on. Had he not opened his big mouth, Camille might not be already over him to the point she gladly accepted a date to the prom, right in front of him. He needed a plan to ensure she wouldn't win prom queen. Kendall and Jo had good chance by themselves and Katie was already helping Carlos. Which meant if Logan wanted to ensure Camille wouldn't be someone else's queen, he had to put all his eggs in James' basket.

'Cause what if I messed up and you fall in love with him and you get married and you has his babies
What if I missed my chance

Seeing them dance together was killing him. Big Time Rush we're set to perform at the prom their new love song about love that will last, and the ironic cherry on top, it was Logan who was singing lead for the song. The whole time he kept thinking of Camille and how he might have ruined his chance with her forever. She looked so happy tonight and she was beautiful as always.

"Hey," Camille said, coming up to Logan after their performance.

"Hi. You look great, by the way," he told her looking just past her shoulder, trying to spot her date, "Where's Steve?"

Camille looked at where Logan was looking and shook her head, noting that Logan was definitely acting strange. "He went to get some water," she informed him and saw Logan accept her answer. "So, where's your date?"

Logan looked at Camille for the first time that night, "What do you mean?" he asked innocently.

Camille smiled and laughed, "I'm sure there would have been tons of girls who would've wanted to go to the prom with you. You're a catch," she told him, touching his arm. Logan masked his pain with a forced smile.

"I'm not really good with asking girls out to dances if you'll recall," Logan joked and two laughed. Steve then found them and came and handed Camille a glass of water. "For you," he said.

Camille smiled and accepted the glass kindly, "Steve, you remember Logan," she said and Steve extended his hand for Logan, who being the polite guy he is, accepted it, while mentally berating himself for it at the same time.

"Well I better go. You two have fun," Logan said and went off back on his mission to make sure they wouldn't actually end up winning.

I thought that seeing other people was something I wanted
But I really I hate it if I'm being honest
It kills me to see you with somebody new

Later that night, Logan was sitting in the Palm Woods lobby when Camille, back in her prom dress came and sat next to him.

"Congratulations your majesty," she said and Logan let out a small chuckle.

"You know, I'm the only one of the guys who didn't care about winning prom king," he admitted with a small smile.

"Too busy trying to make sure I didn't win prom queen," Camille joked and Logan turned to look at her and noticed the amusement in her eyes.

"I am really sorry about that. I guess I just need to get used to seeing you with Steve."

"No you don't," she stated simply, making Logan give her a questioning look.

"We decided to end things, not that we were really together or anything," she explained and noticed the the corners of Logan's mouth pointing upwards and a hint of his dimples.

"I'm sorry to hear that," he said guiltily knowing he was probably responsible this outcome. "Despite what I did tonight, I do want you to be happy, Camille."

It was Camille's turn to smile at him, "I know, and I am," she said with ease"I want you to be happy too, Logan. And you guys were great up there tonight. I love hearing you sing," she told him and leaned in and kissed his cheek chastely before getting up, "Good night," she told him and that made her way to the elevator leaving a ever confused Logan.

I Love Her

Thought we should see other people
'Til I started seeing other people with you

Logan couldn't believe how stupid he looked for chasing his best friend and his girlfriend, wait his ex girlfriend with an axe guitar. Logan wasn't a violent person. So his actions definitely left two people in particular with many questions, well three if you count Lucy who still didn't fully understand the entirety that was his and Camille's relationship. Unfortunately for Logan, avoiding Kendall wasn't as easy as avoiding the girls. Which is what he did for the first three days after their last game night.

"We need to talk about this Logan," Kendall said as he followed Logan and their shared bedroom. Logan really hated the fact that he didn't even have his own bedroom he could sulk in right about now.

"Logan seriously, absolutely nothing happened between me and Camille. She even got mad at me for making that joke. Were you really that jealous? You didn't really tell us anything about what happened when Camille was rehearsing for her new movie. Did something happen? Do you still have feeling for her? Is that why you've barely spoken to her since game night," he said and sat on his bed, looking at Logan to lied down on his the face in his pillow.

Logan turned and faced Kendall, "I've talked to Camille since then," he said quietly. Kendall gave his friend a stern look. Kendall knew what he was doing, he was deflecting, completely ignoring Kendall's questions in his effort to not have this conversation. That only made it more obvious to Kendall that there is in fact something bothering Logan, and Kendall would put on money on the source of his problem being Camille.

So, Kendall pushed him to talk, "Making out in her apartment and talking are not the same thing," he warned Logan who was going to question how he knew about that, but figured Camille must've said something.

"Please, we can always tell when you get back from hanging out with Camille if you two were doing friendly activities or more than just friends activities," Kendall told him. Guess he wasn't as good at disguising his bliss as he thought. "Now, I get that it looked bad and I know you told Camille that you realize nothing actually happened so will you tell me why are still so angry with me?"

Logan looked up at Kendall, saw the concern in his friend's eyes and finally sat up. Kendall could tell Logan was finally ready to open up by the way he shifted in his place and took a deep breath before he spoke. "I just couldn't bear the thought of losing Camille to one of you guys again okay!"

Kendall gave Logan a questioning look, "Lose Camille? Are you talking about when she and James kissed? Logan, they both apologized to you like a thousand times for that, you have to forgive them," Kendall started to say, but was immediately cut off by Logan.

"I have! But the problem is, I let my insecurities about not being good with girls like James end my relationship with Camille. And honestly, I used what happened as an excuse," Logan confessed to a still confused Kendall.

"What excuse?" Kendall asked confused. Logan hadn't really talked about his feeling about Camille so openly.

Logan remained oddly silent, "An excuse for what, Logan?" Kendall asked again, seeing Logan sigh and shake his head. Finally, a confession.

"To not have to admit that I love her, okay! I am in love with Camille and I can't even tell her, because I messed everything up! She's moved on already, and I was the one who made the decision to break up and I was the one who said we should see other people, so I have no one to blame but myself. I just want her back, but what if I'm too late," he said, tearing starting to form in his eyes. Kendall went over to his genius friend and hugged him.

"You're in love with Camille?" Kendall repeated, shocked. The guys figured that Logan still had feelings for the girl, but not that he was actually in love with her. Logan just nodded and stayed quiet.

"Just tell her how you feel, and you should do it before we leave for tour," was Kendall's advice for Logan. Kendall left his friend alone to give him some needed space and Logan reached for his notebook, writing down his feelings.

Ain't it just like me to want what I can't have
Is it too late now to take it back

On The Road

"I can't believe that tomorrow, we'll be back at the Palm Woods," James said as he and Carlos were playing a video game and Kendall and Katie were sitting at the table playing cards.

"I know, I'm so pumped to see the Jennifers!" Carlos cheered as his avatar started beat up James's avatar.

"And Lucy!" James added with his signature finger wiggle.

Kendall looked at Logan who was quietly reading in the couch next to Carlos. "And I'm sure Camille will be happy to see us. Isn't that right Logan?" he said to his genius friend, who either ignored him or didn't hear him.

"Logan?" James said, pausing the game and waving his hand in front Logan's face to get his attention.

"James!" he snapped, and closed the book and put it down. "What do you want?" he asked obviously annoyed.

"We were just saying how excited we all were to be back at the Palm Woods tomorrow," Kendall recapped and Logan just looked at him.

"Okay… is that all?" he said, not sure where this conversation was going.

"Aren't you excited to see everyone, like Camille?" Carlos asked teasingly earning a quick hit from Logan.

"Yeah I guess," he said quietly.

Kendall, James and Carlos all shared a look. Something had happened between the two on and off again lover before they left for tour, but it had been four months and Logan hadn't really said much of what happened that night. They had tried to get several times to get their reserved friend to open up, to no avail.

"Logan," James started and paused as Logan turned towards his friends, "What happened that night in lobby with Camille. We're your best friends, you can tell us."

"Seriously Logan, you've been writing in your journal a whole lot and you've been out of it lately," Kendall said as Katie went to the bedroom in the back, giving the boys some space.

Logan sighed and took a deep breath. He rubbed his hands together and the guys noticed that he was trembling from nerves, "I kissed Camille," he said and the guys rolled their eyes.

"You kissed her? You guys do that all the time! What's so different now," Carlos complained as he grabbed a bowl of chips.

Logan glared at them for interrupting him, "The difference is that this time I kissed her after I told her I love her."

"Love her? Like in love with her?" James said, nearly choking on his water and Carlos froze with his hand midway to his mouth. Kendall just gave him a knowing look remembering their conversation after the whole figure skating thing.

"Yeah," Logan admitted rather defeatedly.

"What did she say?" Kendall asked eagerly. They all knew how big of deal this was for Logan but also for what that meant for Camille and Logan as a couple.

Logan blushed and ran his hand over the back of his head down his neck, "She didn't really get a chance to say anything. I left as soon as I kissed her. I was just too afraid to hear that I was too late."

"Logan," Kendall said, trying to get his best friend to open up. But Logan got up and went to the bunk room. He didn't turn around or say anything else.

"Guess we'll just have to wait and see how Camille feels," James said looking to where Logan had just disappeared from view.

"What if he's right and is too late?" Carlos asked, concerned for Logan and looking at Kendall.

Kendall shook his head and smiled at his friends, "If I know Camille like I think I do, he's not too late."

Poor Logan!

I started an epilogue that's set after the episode Big Time Returns if y'all are interested. It's not here because, I'm debating including a smut scene. Let me know what you think of that idea!

Xoxo,
