Author's Note: This Chapter is done in Severus Snape's POV - Just because I thought it would be fun.

Severus feels as if he's been on auto pilot these past six-months. Ever since Paige left, he has been an empty shell of his former self. Unable to eat, unable to sleep, unable to move past and forget her.
It was almost the beginning of a new school year and Dumbledore has requested a meeting with him at Hogwarts.

He knocks on Dumbledore's office door and waits for a response.

"Come in." He hears from the other side of the door.

Severus opens the door and enters his office. He sees Dumbledore sitting at his desk reading a letter, looking tired and troubled.

"Ah Severus, excellent, I was waiting for you." Dumbledore says as he folds up the letter he was reading.

"Is everything alright, sir?" Severus asks.

"No." Dumbledore replies somberly as he stands up from his desk. "We had a situation happen last night."

"What happened?" He asks Dumbledore.

Dumbledore removes his glasses from his face and starts to rub the bridge of his nose where his glasses sat.

"We had the last of the resistance from over seas come in last night. They were ambushed by Death Eaters and one of the resistance members ended up staying behind, defending the rest of the team while they escaped." Dumbledore informs him as he puts his glasses on.

"That's terrible news for them, losing the life of one of their companions." Severus remarks, becoming uninterested in the life of just one resistance member.

"Oh no, they are still alive." Dumbledore says, lifting the letter in his hand. "Just got word this morning that they survived the attack."

"I'm confused about the situation then." Severus says to him.

"Well, we need them over here." Dumbledore says looking intently at Severus. "Since you could easily get across the boarder with your Dark Mark, I need you to go get them since the Port Keys are all closed off now."

"For one person Dumbledore?" Severus asks in frustration, his lack of sleep getting to him.

Dumbledore chuckles to himself as he walks out from behind his desk, stopping just in front of it.

"Sometimes, the risk isn't worth it sir." Severus says, adjusting his tone to a more reasonable one.

"Is that what you tell yourself these days, Severus?" Dumbledore asks as he unfolds the letter in his hand and starts reading it.

"I'm afraid I don't know what you mean." Severus replies coldly.

Dumbledore looks up from the letter and back to Severus.

"Whatever happened between you and Captain Asher?" Dumbledore asks bluntly. "You seemed to look at her as if she was an eidolon. I really thought there was something there."

Severus feels his body surge with numbness just hearing her name.

"Don't you mean Major Asher?" Severus says, correcting him and ignoring Dumbledore's attempt to dive into his personal life.

"Ah, yes. I forgot she had a promotion waiting for her." Dumbledore replies with a smirk. "Guess it didn't matter anyways after she got fired."

Severus' eyes go wide with shock.

"What did you just say?" Severus asks, looking at Dumbledore in disbelief.

"Oh, you didn't hear. She was thrown out of a Senate meeting trying to convince them of Voldemort's return. They all ridiculed her then fired her." Dumbledore says with a sigh. "Of course, they kept it all hush hush as to not provoke any sort of notion of the Dark Lord's return."

Severus was speechless. Unable to process that maybe she didn't care about her job as much as he thought she did.

"Since then, her and her comrade Lieutenant Ripley have been getting American witches and wizards to their first check point to get them over seas without being detected." Dumbledore continues, still looking at Severus.

"Why didn't you tell me?" He asks Dumbledore.

"I didn't know if you would have cared." Dumbledore says with a smirk. "Plus, I don't like to meddle in other people's personal lives."

Severus stands paralyzed as he tries to let everything sink in.

"After Lily Potter, I wasn't sure if anyone else could have hold a place in your heart." Dumbledore says, moving closer to Severus. "But when I saw you the night that they arrived at the train station, I have to admit I had hope."

Severus glares at him.

"I know, I'm sorry, but I saw something there Severus. The way you would look at her. I couldn't explain it at the time, but I needed to know." Dumbledore explains to him.

"So, you make up nightly meeting for what? Your curiosity? Your amusement?" Severus snaps at him.

"All I did was put two lonely people together." Dumbledore replies calmly.

"Did it ever occur to you what would happen when they were done here? Packed up and left back to the States. What then Albus?" Severus asks him angerly.

"Of all people Severus, I would have expected you to get her to stay." Dumbledore replies, still calm.

Severus sits down on the steps by Dumbledore's fireplace. Unable to digest everything all at once.

"Anyways, shall I write Captain Asher back and say she's on her own to find a way over?" Dumbledore asks as he walks back behind his desk. "She's only one person after all."

Severus looks at him for a brief second before standing up. He walks towards the door.

"Severus." Dumbledore says stopping him.

He holds up a piece of parchment paper.

"Might need her address." He adds.

Severus swiftly crosses the room, grabs the paper, and leaves Dumbledore's office without another word.

Severus' heart pounds loudly as he arrives at the address written on the piece of paper. He stands in front of a small two-bedroom cabin in the middle of a clearing, somewhere in the Alaskan wilderness. He slowly approaches the cabin steps, trying to think of what to say. Everything he's thought over the past six-months has now vacated his mind.
His nerves get the better of him as he stands at the bottom of the steps leading onto the porch. He didn't know if she wants to see him. He didn't know if she would ever forgive him. He hesitates, looking down at his feet, trying to will them to move forwards.

"Can I help you?" A man's voice says from inside the cabin.

An older man opens the screen door of the cabin and steps out to the porch. Severus looks up to the sky and asks for whatever entity was out there to save him.

"I'm here to see Paige Asher." Severus replies, looking back at the man.

"And who are you?" The man asks with a raised eyebrow.

Severus' throat goes dry.

"Severus Snape. I'm with the Order. I was instructed by Dumbledore to help Miss Asher get over seas to Britain."

"Excellent, well you have the right place. Name's Theodard." He says, as he holds the screen door open for Severus.

He nervously walks up the stairs and into the cabin, Theodard following behind him.

"Have a seat." Theodard says, pointing to the dining table.

Severus looks around, not seeing Paige.

"Can I get you something to drink?" Theodard asks him.

"No, thank you." Severus replies as he sits down at the table like he was told.

Theodard goes to the kitchen and opens a cabinet above the sink. He grabs two cups and a green bottle. He pours the liquid into the two glasses and heads back to the table with Severus.

"You know; Paige came to me when she was about fifteen years old." Theodard says as he hands Severus the one of the glasses.

Severus looks at him in confusion but still grabs the glass.

"Did Dumbledore ever tell you the story about when he found her?" Theodard asks him before taking a sip of his drink.

"No." Severus replies nervously.

"Well, after Otakemaru entered her, Russian dark wizards detected the energy it released. They got to her before Dumbledore could. They had her, this ten-year-old little girl in an underground bunker sedated for years. They ran all kinds of tests on her, doing God only know what to her, all in hopes of finding out all they could about the Oni." Theodard explains, taking another sip of his drink.

Severus looks at his glass intently, trying not to think of what kind of things they would have done to her.

"Until one day, she managed to escape, killing all of them in the process." Theodard continues. "Dumbledore found her 500 miles away. Poor girl lying half naked in the snow by a creek in the middle of fucking no-where Russia.

Severus looks back up at him, still trying to process what he was telling him.

"Thankfully she doesn't remember much." Theodard adds as he swirls the liquid around in his glass.

"You know that I know about her Oni?" Severus asks, finally able to put his thoughts together.

"I know a lot more about you then that." He replies with a smirk. "Professor Snape."

Severus feels the air in the cabin get heavy.

"Now the thing that really amazed me was that she didn't shed a single tear though the whole ordeal." Theodard comments, as he puts his glass on the table. "She showed up at my front door with Dumbledore, still drenched in their blood. Zero tears."

Severus drinks all the liquid in his glass. The liquid burning as it slides down his throat.

"In fact." Theodard continues as he starts rummaging through his pockets. "I don't think I've ever seen her shed a tear in my fifteen-years with her."

Theodard places his hand inside his cloak and pulls out his wand.

"Until she met you." Theodard says, pointing his wand at Severus.

"If you just let me explain-" Severus starts to say before Theodard interrupts him.

"You have sixty seconds to explain. Then I kill you." Theodard says to him calmly.

"I understand that I hurt her. I just want to try and make things right." Severus says in a panicked voice.

"forty-five seconds."

"I was an idiot; I should have just told her how I really feel." Severus blurts out, trying to get his point across in the remaining seconds.

"Fifteen seconds." Theodard taunts.

"I just need to see her one more time. Please. If you're going to kill me, then make that my dying wish." Severus pleads.

"Why should I?" Theodard roars as he stands up from his chair, still pointing his wand at Severus.

"Because I love her." He replies as he closes his eyes and braces himself.

He holds his breath and waits for the sweet relief of death to come, but it never does. He opens his eyes again and sees Theodard by the door, putting his boots on.

"Let's go. I'll take you to her." Theodard says to him as he finishes lacing up his boots.

Severus feels like he could faint and throw up at the same time, but the thought of seeing her again gives him strength to stand up from the table. He walks out with Theodard, both of them walking down the steps of the porch together. Severus feels Theodard grab his arm and they both disappear.

When they re-appear, they are standing in a calm forest with a small game trail leading towards a giant lake.

"Just follow the trail and you'll see her cabin." Theodard says, looking in the direction of the lake.

Severus also looks in the direction of the lake then looks back at Theodard.

"If it makes any difference, I hope she doesn't kill you." Theodard says with a smile before disappearing again.

Severus shakes off the thought of him walking into his death before he starts to follow the path to the lake. As he rounds a bend, he sees a small cabin near the lake and someone standing by the shore. He takes a deep breath in before approaching.
As he gets closer he notices that they are looking out at the lake, their back to him. He sees their medium length brunette hair and a short black cloak blowing freely behind them.
The wind suddenly switches directions and the smell of her perfume hits him and almost bringing him to his knees. The same smell she left on his cloak when he gave it to her for the night. He remembers how it smelled like her for days afterwards.
He walks until he was about ten feet away, standing behind her. She looks over her shoulder at him. All the breath in his body escapes him as he sees her face. The way the sunlight illuminates her face was the most beautiful thing he's ever witnessed. The moment was cut short when she suddenly erupts into green flames.

"I just want to talk." Severus yells loud enough for her to possibly hear over the roaring inferno in front of him.

The flames start to die down to Severus' relief, but it was short lived as a large green creature with two large horns on his head appears in her place. He stands in its shadow as it looms over him snarling with a mouth full of razor-sharp teeth.

"You made a mistake coming here." Otakemaru growls as he throws a punch at Severus.

Severus pulls out his wand and dives out of the way of the giant fist.

"I know. I've made a lot of mistakes. I'm here to try and fix this one." Severus replies, pointing his wand at Otakemaru.

Otakemaru lets out a loud roar as green fire starts building up around his hands. He throws them at Severus. He swiftly blocks both, causing them to deflect them into the forest around them and igniting the trees it hits.

"Last warning. Leave now" Otakemaru threatens.

"Not until I talk to her." Severus replies as he prepares himself for another attack.

Otakemaru throws a bigger one at him and Severus deflects this one as well, but it pushes him backwards slightly. Otakemaru smirks as he throws two large green fire balls at him. He blocks both, but the force knocks him backwards onto the ground.

"You should leave now before you leave here without more than just your ego." Otakemaru yells at him.

"You have every right to be angry with me. I messed up; I admit it." Severus replies as he struggles to get up. "I've been living with my regret ever since I let her walk away."

Otakemaru throws another giant fire ball at Severus. He deflects it, sending it across the lake, but gets thrown back from it's force in the process. He lays on the ground for a moment, trying to suppress the pain he is feeling, the knock-back surely cracking a rib or something. He can hear Otakemaru's heavy footsteps coming towards him. He grabs the front of Severus' robes and picks up him, bringing him closer to his snarling face.

"I know I don't deserve a second chance, but if she gave me one. I would spend the rest of my life proving I was worthy of it." Severus says to him, not even struggling to get out of his grips.

Otakemaru lets out a loud roar in Severus' face before tossing him. The ice-cold lake water hits Severus as he lands. He takes a deep breath of air as his head breaches the surface. He quickly looks back at the shore and sees Otakemaru surrounded by a bright green flame.

"If you're going to kill me, then just do it." Severus yells as he starts slowly swimming back to the shore.

Otakemaru pounds the ground in front of him intimidatingly and roars.

"It's destroyed me being apart from her these past six months." Severus continues as he gets closer to the shore. "This pain is nothing compared to what I've been feeling since losing her. So please end my agony."

Severus feels his feet touch the bottom of the lake. He slowly starts walking out of the water towards Otakemaru. Smoke escapes Otakemaru's nostrils as he stands glaring at him.

"I can't live without her. I will do anything just to see her." Severus says as he collapses in the shallow water by the shore.

Otakemaru roars loudly as fire around him fully engulfs him. Severus holds his breath as the fire dies down and Paige is left standing there instead. He slowly gets to his feet, looking into her crystal-clear blue eyes, tears welling up inside them. He can see all the pain that he has caused her.
Like a trance, he walks towards her.

"I swear I never meant anything I said to you that night." He says as he approaches her, still staring into her eyes. "I thought I would have been selfish to ask you to stay. I did not wish to become an encumbrance on your life waiting for you back here."

He stands in front of her, watching as a tear falls down her cheek. His heart breaks, wanting nothing more then to hold her in his arms.

"I am unafraid of everything else knowing my greatest loss and now my greatest fear is losing you." He continues as he places his hand on her cheek, wiping away her tear with his thumb.

"I love you." He says, looking deeply into her eyes. "I've loved you the moment I laid my eyes on you on the train. You were everything right there in one perfect form. A shining phenomenon of wit and humor, beauty and intelligence, calm and intimidation."

"Severus." Paige whispers as she looks down at the ground.

He places his other hand on the other side of her face gently, getting her to look back at him.

"I admit, before I was only giving you bits and pieces of myself, now I stand before you ready to give you everything I have left." Severus confesses. "I will be yours forever if you chose to forgive me."

Paige says nothing. The look of confliction written across her face. No matter what she decides, he would honor it.
She suddenly reaches her hand up and unbuttons her cloak, letting it fall to the ground. His heart feeling like it's going to explode as he notices the blue and silver butterfly pendant hanging from her neck.

"I never stopped loving you." Paige chokes out as more tears fall from her eyes.

Severus passionately presses his lips against hers. It was like taking a cold drink of water after wandering the deserts for a lifetime. He can finally feel himself shake off the numbness and sorrow he's been feeling the last six months and instead he feels a fire burning inside his soul the second his lips touched hers.
He picks her up as she wraps her legs around his completely soaked robes, their lips still locked together. He brings her up to her cabin as she tries to get his heavy, wet robes unbuttoned. He was unable to move his lips away from hers, like it was oxygen to him, and he was suffocating without her.
His robes fall to the ground in a sopping mess as she finally manages to remove them. He could feel the heat radiating off her body as she pushes into him again. He places her on the bed, and she pulls him on top of her, still in his soaking wet pants.
Severus slides her pants down her legs, freeing them from their nylon prison. He finally breaks away from her lips to lift her shirt up over her head. He moves his lips to her neck as he tosses her shirt on the floor. He un-buttons his pants and finally peels the rest of his soaking wet clothes off himself. He slides his hands up her back to unclasp her bra, slowly removing it and tossing it to the ground. Her nipples already hard from being pressed against his cold wet clothing. He moves his lips from her neck to her nipple, his cock throbbing in response to her moans. She takes off her underwear and wraps her legs around his waist, eagerly waiting for him. He looks into her eyes before kissing her again. He feels her fingernails dig into his back as he slowly slides his cock into her. There's an explosion of endorphins going off inside his head as he thrust into her again. He could feel her legs tighten around his waist as his thrusts increase in tempo. He moves his lips to her neck, letting her moan freely, wanting nothing more than to give her pleasure. His hunger growing for her as she moans louder and louder. He could feel her entire body quiver and tighten underneath him as she climaxes. He slows his pace and kisses her again, pleased with himself for making her cum. Her body slowly starts moving with his again and working back with his movements as she's ready to go again. Her sweet moans were driving his hormones crazy as his own pleasure grows inside him. He tries to hold on until he can feel her getting close again. As he feels her body tighten again, he finally allows himself to release inside her as she climaxes again underneath him.
