Luna was awoken by a wave of frigid water hitting her previously unconscious body, she gasped for air as her chest tightened while her wool robes soaked up the water like a common took her a few seconds but she remembered her situation from the hills of Hogwarts, her confrontation with the Werewolf that now stands before her smiling while he watches her man spoke
"Thirsty?"
He shook the now empty bucket in front of her trying to contain his laughter while the young witch laid on the cold broken stone ground shaking from both the biting cold and fear.
"W-where are we, sir wolf? I don't recognize t-this from Hogwarts or anywhere else."
The man lowered himself to one knee and raised her chin with a clawed finger of his poking into her soft skin breaking a few layers but not drawing blood.
"Somewhere no one will hear you scream."
He grinned devilishly listening to her heart beat faster after he said that but her face remained the same. He thought "She's trying to act brave, let see how long that lasts" He then stood up and walked out the gate and up the steps, leaving her there with more questions but no one to answer them.
The slowly freezing girl then stood up feeling a gust of cold air hit her, she winced in pain unsure as to why at first but then reaching back and feeling the 3 claw marks and dried blood from them cover her back. After taking a moment to check for any other injuries she felt another blast of air hit her. It confused her as to where it was coming from as she could not see anything in the pitch dark dungeon other than the two candles that were at the bottom of the steps that were so dim they seemed like they threatened to go out at any moment. She walked to where the back wall should be with her hand extended and found it, the cold from the stone shot up her arm making her retract it. After taking a breath and pulling her sleeve over her hand she found the wall once more and began to walk along it, finding a small opening that was covered by bars about half a meter from where her head stood. It was so dark outside that the sky produced no light, neither from stars nore the moon.
It was as if the land was being punished by Merlin for the sins committed there, another gust of air came through the window as if it was urging her to back away from there. Once away from the window the shivering girl made her way to the door and cautiously grabbed it, giving it a good shake to see if there was any chance it was unlocked. No luck for her today though but it did give her an idea, after running her hands along the bars quite a bit she found the lock. Using only her sense of touch she found the key hole and put her finger to it, a second later she screamed as the tip of her finger burned from what must've been a spell to prevent this very thing.
Discouraged, she backed away from the gate and chose to wait till day time to try and find a way out, pulling off her damp cloak that seemed to become almost frozen from the cold and wetness she began to lay it on the ground before spotting a small burlap sack in the corner. She made her way over to it and laid on the scratchy surface and covered herself the best she could with her cloak before trying to get some sleep.
The next morning she was awoken by the feeling of something on her skin, she opened her eyes to see the man leaning over her with his wand to her skin. It took her only a moment more to feel the burning sensation against her collar bone, she shot up and shrieked as the smell of her burning flesh hit her nose. The stench made her gag before freezing as the retched smell reminded her of the day her mothers lab exploded, the memory of her mothers burning body released from the place she had locked it away for so many years.
The man raised an eyebrow as he watched the young logical witch be overpowered by her own memories freezing in her slouched standing position as if someone had used Petrificus Totalus to restrain her. The only thing moving was her chest powered by her labored breaths. Growing impatient he poked his wand into her side only this time with no spell to assist as he used his sheer strength to bury the wand into pale skin, toppling her over in the process. The young woman's body hit the frozen smooth cracked stone ground, growling he kicked her relatively gently compared to how strong he could've kicked her small body.
"Oi, you done yet girl?
The girl looked up at the towering man unable to hide her fear of him anymore while beginning to tremble she pants heavily
"W-what did y-you do that for?"
She says with a cracked voice her throat being dry from not having any water since dinner the last day, while holding her burnt shoulder. The man smiled sadistically and reached for the silver blondes head cradling in his hand with ease.
"Had to wake you up now didn't I? Would you like some water now"
He chuckles patting the side of her head mocking her vulnerable situation before turning around and beginning to leave.
"A house elf will probably bring you something to eat in a bit, I just came too let you know that tomorrow will be when your conversion starts"
Now giving her even a moment to ask what that meant he locked the metal bar door and flew up the stairs with such ease it seemed he simply levitated up them.
Conversion, what exactly did he mean by that? Was he planning on turning her into a werewolf? Although uncommon, it wasn't a very hard thing to do to a person. The bright witch spent the day mostly curled up on her burlap sack bedding with her torn cloak held over her waiting for the house elf to bring her a meal, though he never came. The dungeon never did light up much more then how it was at night, except now the window had a gray cold mist filled view aside from the usual all consuming black.
She didn't even realize she had fallen asleep till she was awoken by another burning feeling in the same spot as last time, quickly remembering what it was she cowered away from the glowing wand tip moving deeper into the dark corner covering her mouth and nose with her shaking hands to avoid the smell of her burning flesh. A gruff voice came from out of her view but she knew who it was.
"Ah, you're a quick learner now aren't you girl? Come here into the light I want you to meet a friend of mine"
He grabbed her slim wrist and dragged her out of the cage and into the dimly lit aisle dropping her to the floor. She looked up at him catching a glimpse of a slender figure standing on the steps who the man then called to
"This is the one I was telling you about"
The figure began to move down the steps and into the light whilst speaking
"Oh yes, can't say much else then good boy Fenrir"
The figure then stepped into the light still laughing from mocking the very large man, Luna thought she recognized that shrill voice but now there was no doubt in Luna's mind. The hair that looked to be fit for an animal to bed in, the dark and sparkling green robes were unmistakable as ever and the skull atop a snake revealed on the womens arm due to her rolled sleeves. Luna instantly remembered who this horrifying woman was, Bellatrix Lestrange.
A Death eater, a part of the dark lords upper ranks stood before her in the place where she just thought it was a place for the fugitive Werewolf to keep witnesses for a time. But now she came to the conclusion that this wasn't just some hole in the side of a mountain, it was something much worse. She was in one of the Death eaters bases.
Her captor's voices became muffled as she began to panic realizing what the man had meant by conversion. He never meant to turn her into a werewolf, they meant to turn her into a death eater to make her apart of their ranks of thieves and murderers. Her invisible panic attack was interrupted by her being yanked by her hair to face the evil witch's face.
"What's your name hun?"
The timid girl responded trying not to show her fear
"Luna, Luna Lovegood ma'am"
The witch let go of the young miss, seeming to try to remember something.
"Lovegood you say? You wouldn't happen to know a Pandora Lovegood now would you dear?"
Unsure of where this was going Luna answered honestly not wanting to risk a lie.
"Y-yes she was my mother…"
This seemed to send the crazed women into a frenzy of sorts bombarding the young girl with questions.
"You are now! Well that's fantastic, tell me did you witness your mothers experiments? What was your favorite that she showed you? Can you do any of them? Can you teach me her most destructive one? What was it like watching your mother burn before your very eyes at such a young age? You must've inhaled some of her ashes, meaning you might have breathed in her knowledge of spells and potions with unImaginable power!"
The young girl lost any composure she had left and just began bawling hysterically as the memories of her mother burning before her flashed in front of her like a theater
"Oh did I strike a nerve there? Bad memories perhaps, is that why Fenrir said you froze for no reason….."
The rest of her rant was a blur as the only thing she could see was her mother burning, screaming for help and her being powerless, unable to do anything for her burning mother.
The following days were basically the same, except they would poke her a lot more with their wands projecting Incendio out of the tips to burn her skin and clothes which were reduced to rags after a couple days. More questions and other things she never really cared to remember, although she did her best to keep her composure it was beginning to get more difficult to do so.
One day after the two had left her having finished their daily routine of torturing the young dirty weakened girl a new person walked down the steps and searched around for a bit before entering her cage and walking up too her. She begged to not have been seen by whoever it was but it was clear she had been spotted. Defeated, she looks up to see just who had come to inflict more pain on her already broken body, she lets out a tiny gasp of shock as she sees her old friend from Hogwarts stand above her wide eyed. Draco Malfoy
