Author's note: I am so sorry for my lack of updates and news, lately I slowly beginning to lost my motivation in writing my fanfictions because I was too busy trying to balance my full-time job along with other things in life such as immigration processes. I hope you guys don't mind the wait and keep an open mind. Anyways, the next chapter is out! I checked on the statistics of this story and I am glad to see that there finally some people who are checking out this particular story and gave some good reviews, especially with the majority of them who I am familiar with.

By the way, I've finally finished all of Elena of Avalor's series, both 3 seasons and the specials/movies and all I have to say is WOW! I don't know what to say, maybe I can start with Esteban's allegiance to Shuriki after Elena got trapped in the Amulet, we all know he did that but I would have never foreseen that he and Victor were the ones who brought Shuriki into Avalor in the first place! I just thought that Esteban and Victor only worked for Shuriki after she executed Elena's parents and took over Avalor! I never thought that there was more to this!

This is definitely a test for Elena like Quita Moz had predicted and while I completely understand her initial state of mind at that time, her punishment could have been less severe if you ask me, I mean the current Esteban is not exactly the same Esteban who helped Shuriki over 40 years ago. Like at least 5 years of banishment and not an entire life, though Esteban did not help the situation by freeing the Delgado family and escape of with Ash, now he just made a bad image for everyone to see him.

But at the end of the day, everything got resolved right? But that's enough of my rambling, let's get onto this chapter!

~In the EverRealm~

Within the library of the castle, a hidden room...which was no longer hidden now that the painting that concealed it was destroyed, leaving a huge gaping hole on the wall.

Mateo was reading over what appears to be an ancient book bound by a leather cover and old paper, this was the Codex Maru, once written by the people of Maru, an ancient civilization that predates the Kingdom of Avalor. It was discovered by the first people of Avalor who then gave it to their very first Royal Sorcerer and was passed down to each new Royal Sorcerers ever since, Mateo's grandfather Alacazar was the last Royal Sorcerer to have kept the book before it was rediscovered by him and fortunately he was able to keep it away from the hands of his grandfather's nemesis Fiero.

The teenage sorcerer in training was beyond excited now that the Codex Maru is in his possession, he read through the pages and deciphers the ancient language written on it.

"Hey Mateo!" said the Royal of Avalor as she bodged into the hidden room.

This startles the teenage Royal Sorcerer and clutched his hands close to his chest "Agh! Oh Princess Elena!? What a pleasant surprise." Mateo said as he tries to regain his composure "Couldn't you knock before you entered here?" he said.

"Well the whole painting/entrance was destroyed remember?" the princess reminded him as she points to the huge gaping entrance "It's gonna take a while to repair that. Anyways, I'm sorry to disturb you but...I was wondering if you are busy with now?" Elena asked .

"Oh well I am just deciphering all the writings and incantations on the Codex Maru." Mateo said as he flips through the pages on the book "There's so many spells written on these pages and if I want to be anything like my grandfather, I have to know all of it's secrets." he said determinedly.

"Well then I guess you are quite occupied right now huh?" said the princess, feeling a bit awkward as she began to stride back to the exit.

"No doubt, it will take me at least a whole day to decipher a quarter of this book." Mateo said as he's still spellbound to the pages on the book.

Elena deflates as she fully turns to the exit "In that case...good luck with it." she said, devoid of enthusiasm.

Mateo noticed the change in her tone "Princess, is everything al-" he was about to ask the royal princess, only to see that she had already left "-right?"

In the castle's Royal Guard corners, Gabriel Núñez also known as Gabe for short got into his Royal Guard uniform as he packed his casual attire into the locker, as the Lieutenant of the Royal Guards, he must be prepared for his everyday routines with his fellow Royal Guards. As he was about to marched of though...

"Hey Gabe!" Elena said as she appeared next to him much to his surprised.

The Royal Guard to startled and held his hand close to his chest "Woah Princess! What are you doing here? Don't you have anything to do right now?" he said as he tries to regain his composure.

"Well I was gonna ask you the same thing, but apparently my meeting with the council ended a lot sooner than expected. So what about you?" The princess asked curiously.

"Not now princess, I'm about to head to my routine with the other Royal Guards." Gabe said as he picked up his sword and placed it into it's scabbard and tied it around his waist. "Captain Antonio is expecting everyone to be there soon!" he said as he walked past her.

"Oh...then I guess you're also occupied as well..." said the Avaloran princess as she began

Though Gabe began to grow a little irritated "Princess, with all due respect but I am a Royal Guard and my purpose is to protect you, not hanging out and wasting both of our times." said Gabe as he began to marched towards the exit.

Elena was taken aback at bit, though she didn't blame him for feeling like that, in his perspective she does seemed like a distraction to him "Right...sorry for asking." she said as she too take her leave.

Gabe heard her voice changed, he sighed and turned his head back "Princess...maybe if I'm lucky enough, I could save some..." he was about to tell the princess, only to realized she was gone "...time."

The Princess of Avalor is walking through the hallways of the castle, feeling a bit gloomy wondering on what she could do in the meantime "Well, Mateo is way too busy reading the Codex Maru and Gabe is focusing on doing practice routine skills with Captain Antonio. Not to mentioned that Naomi is occupied setting up the docks with her father." Elena listed her friends busy schedules while striding through the hallways of the castle "I guess I should start doing my research on Cordoba after all. Now I'm starting to wonder if I should become queen of Avalor." she said halfheartedly, feeling hollow with her three friends, now she's left to her own device and despite her liking doing research on other kingdoms, it would be a bit tedious for her to do it so soon, now she wasn't sure if becoming queen was worth it.

"I thought that things will turn out fine.

That I am wise enough to be a queen

But then there are obstacles that makes me ask otherwise

And now I wondered if the title is rightfully mine."

The princess continues to ran through the hall, she approaches to the family portrait, displaying herself, sister, cousin, grandparents and of course her parents. Seeing them in the portrait still hurts her till this day as it is a reminder of what she had lost when Shuriki came to invade her kingdom.

"The day that I have been free from the Amulet.

Is the day that I have to grow and be wise,

Despite my excitement, I'm bound to this strenuous net.

If only my parents are around, then things will be in line."

Then she turns her attention to the nearby window as she stares through it, seeing that her kingdom has became lively once more now that she had returned and vanquished Shuriki.

"Though things are not as easy as it seems.

The light that once bestowed on the kingdom has return.

With my returned music and celebrations has began.

Now I began to think the title is rightfully mine."

She then passes by the window and head to the main hallway fuel with numerous antiques and other extravagant furniture set pieces, including several suit of shining knight armor.

"There's more to the role of a queen, that I can rest to sure.

My abuelos informed me that very well,

But perhaps I have no clue how right there are.

And I don't know when or if I could ever shine."

Then she stopped running past the hallway as she made her way to the main foyer of the castle.

"Perhaps I should have chose another path.

And now that I return home, I am destined to be crowned.

Though I will face numerous obstacles ahead.

But I do know that the title is and will be rightfully mine."

The Princess had stop singing and sighed to herself as she simply leans on the wall "I wondered what Isabel is up to right now." Elena said to herself, until an idea has popped into her mind "Of course! Why didn't I think of that before!? I'll just ask if Isabel has anytime for me!" she proclaimed as she began to make a beeline to her sister's bedroom.

On the other side of Avalor, in the coastal waters close to the dense jungle. A multi-color glowing was shimmering underneath the water, the light was too distinct to be mistaken by the reflection of the sun's rays as a torrent of bubbles rippled above the once calm waters, without warning one juvenile SkullCrawler burst out of the water before two more appeared alongside it, the three vicious lizard like creatures swam towards the shoreline.

Once their feet like hands made contact with the sandy beach, the three Halakrahs observed their surroundings, flicking their three pointed fork tongues like snakes, taking in the new smells and sensations around them. Of course their main priority is and will always be find a prey to consume, with that the three creatures went their separate ways, one headed towards the heart of the jungle, the second one heads to the vast rocky mountains close to a volcano and the last one ran to a completely unknown location on the opposite side.

Across the plane of reality and into a realm unlike any other is the Spirit World the after life of Avalor. Depicted as an enormous tree fuel with a huge display of multiple colors, each of the tree branches resides one of the many inhabitants of the Spirit World, whether if they are native to the realm or if they are from the living world who had passed on. In one of the branches of the tree is where the Spirit Guide resides.

Several of the Spirits Guides all of which are animals were carrying on their daily task, disappearing and reappearing between the Ever Realm and the Spirit World to give advice and rightful guidance to the people of Avalor. Then suddenly all of them came to a hault as they all were shivering and shaking in fright before they all stopped at once as if the sensation was simultaneous.

"Zuzo, did you feel that!?" one of the Spirit Guides which is an owl asked a fox spirit.

"Yeah, it was definitely unnerving!" the fox chanul named Zuzo agreed with his colleague.

"Just what was that anyways?" asked another spirit which is a squirrel.

"Whatever it is, it would made Shuriki look like a mere tasty morsel in comparison." Zuzo said with a hint of concerned "I think this is something Elena needs to know." he said as he poofs out of the spirit world to warned his friend.

Back in the Kingdom of Avalor and in the Royal Castle, the Princess speed walk through the hallways, minding all the people around her as she's aware of the castle's policies until she finally reaches her destination "There it is." she said as she was now in front of her sister's bedroom door "Hopefully Isa isn't too busy with her own stuff as well, two minds are better than one as they say." Elena stated, admittedly her younger sister's mind would contribute more than hers, but any sort of effort counts, no matter how small it would seemed. Just as she was about to knock on the door though...

"Hiya Princess!" Zuzo said as he appears right behind Elena.

"WHAAH!" said the startled princess as she stopped to look at the spirit "ZUZO!? What are you doing here!? You nearly scared the life out of me!" she said as she tries to regain her bearings.

"Sorry about that Elena, we can't have you visiting your parents so soon." the Chanul joked, but seeing the princess's sour expression made him recoiled "Sorry bad joke, but that is not why I'm here princess. I'm here to give you a heads up." Zuzo said as he straighten his posture.

"About what Zuzo?" said the princess as she stood back up and dusted herself.

"Well moments ago, me and the other spirit guides felt a very strange tingly feeling. It's unlike anything we have ever sense before, it's almost feel like a bunch of ravenous critters crawling around your body." the fox spirit described his experience.

Elena shivered a bit "That's quite an unnerving way to describe it." she said with a hint of discomfort.

"I know right? And for whatever reason, this feeling made me think that Shuriki was just a mere cranky old lady in comparison." the spirit guide commented.

"Is it that serious?" the princess said with concern as she raised her hand close to her mouth.

"Honestly Elena, I'm not sure myself. It's not like anything me and the other spirits have ever felt before." Zuzo said with confusion "But if there is one guidance I could give you just by this feeling alone, is to keep your eyes and ears sharp okay?" the chanul warned the princess.

The princess took in the information as she inhales deeply before responding "Okay then, I'll let you know if anything comes up!" she said.

"Great! And I will do the same on my end! Cheerio" and with that Zuzo poofs back to his world.

"Now then, where was I?" Elena said as she turns her attention back to her sister's door room. She lifts her right hand up and knocks the door "Hello, Isa?" she asked, waiting for an answer.

"Come in." A younger voice responded.

"Yes." Elena whispered in excitement with her right hand pumps into a fist as she opens the door and enters her sister's room.

Meanwhile up high above the skies of Avalor, a majestic creature was soaring through the vast blue sky. The creature is a hybrid mix between a Jaguar and a macaw with the body shape of the particular feline and the wings and fan shaped tail feathers of the avian. This was a Jaquin, the symbol and guardians of Avalor. Though this particular Jaquin is male with a muscular built to him along with yellow fur, orange spots and feathers and green eyes. His name is Migs.

"Skylar! Skylar! SKYLAR!" Migs yells out his colleague's name "Where in the world has that goofball gone of to?" said the frustrated Jaquin.

"Yo Migs!" he turned to see another Jaquin flying towards him. This Jaquin is female with a more slimmer and streamline body-shape with orange fur, red spots and pink feathers, golden eyes, her name is Luna and she's Mig's close friend "I overheard your yells, I think I know where he is!" Luna said.

"Good! Because Chief Zephyr is holding out a meeting for every Jaquin present here in Avalor." Migs said with relief.

"Alright then follow me!" Luna said as she and Migs flew off to the right direction.

Close to where Migs and Luna were flying towards to is a luncheons jungle, under the canopy is another Jaquin who seems to be gathering several various food ranging from fruits, vegetables and even some fish and meat along the way. This Jaquin is also male with a lean body built, though not as lean as Luna and not as muscular as Migs, he had golden fur, blue spots and feathers with teal eyes. This is Skylar, Luna's cousin and the crown prince of the Jaquins.

Skylar decided to make a huge stash of food he had gathered for him and his two friends Migs and Luna, he's planning for a little picnic for the three of them "Alright, just a little bit more and the picnic should be ready." he said and just as he was about to put in the finishing touches.

"Skylar!" Migs called out which startled the younger Jaquin a bit.

"WAAHH!" said the alarmed Skylar, only to see that it was just his two companions "Oh, it's you guys! Awesome, I was about to put the finishing touches for the food so we can go out on a nice and fun picnic today." he said in excitement as he ties the bag that was stashed with the food he collected.

"I hate to burst your bubble Skylar. But we have somewhere else to go, it's urgent business." Luna told him.

Skylar did not take it likely as expected "Oh come on guys! I have made a lot of plans for just the three of us today. It would have been so fun!" he complained, hoping to wiggle his way out of it.

"Skylar, listen! We don't have time for picnics. Chief Zephyr needs all of us to be there." said the irritated Migs, he knew very well that the younger Jaquin can be immature and irresponsible at times and needs a reality check from time to time.

As much as he didn't like it, he had to follow the chief's orders "Oh fine, it wouldn't hurt for you to show some fun around here. At the least let me stashed up the food before we left." Skylar reluctantly said as he grabs the food stash and flies up high to a tall tree to securely tied up the food stash "There, that should be good enough, let's go." he said as he flies back down to his friend and cousin.

"Ugh finally!" Migs said as he took of to the air followed by Luna.

Skylar hesitantly looked back at the food stash he put on the tree and sighs, just as he was about to follow his friends he heard a rustling sound from the vegetation "What was that?" he said as he turns around, trying to spot the source of the sound.

"What was what?" Migs asked as he and Luna heard what Skylar just said.

"I thought I heard something, something going through the bushes." Skylar tells them, which got the other two Jaquins to be silent and perk their ears up to listen to the said sound, only to hear nothing.

"Well I don't hear anything now." Luna said as she still uses her ears, but still no sound has been made.

"Probably just one of the local wildlife's here." Migs deduced calmly.

"Maybe, but I just got this bad feeling for some reason. Like as if that whatever made that sound is onto us." Skylar said with sneaky suspicion as he still looks around the area they're in.

"Skylar, I know you like to let your imagination run wild. But we have been wasting more than enough time already. Chief Zephyr will be furious if we wait any longer." Migs sternly said as he flies of further away as Luna was unsure what to believe.

"But...oh alright." Skylar tried to argue back, but realize that Migs had a point, he did not want to upset the chief and decides to fly of as well, passing by Luna who also looks back to where Skylar said he heard the strange sound. She wasn't sure if her cousin was just fooling around or if he really did heard something, but decides ignore it as she picks up the pace with her companions.

What the three Jaquins are unaware of was that they were been spied on by one of the deadliest creatures on Skull Island, prowling through the dense vegetation of the jungle lies a juvenile SkullCrawler who just happens to pick up the sense of the three Jaquins. The creature was a bit curious by the jaguar like animals with macaw wings and feathers, it did not recall seeing anything like back at it's world, the closest thing was a white tiger with deer antlers or a bird with fern leaves as feathers, but then it's hunger overrides it's curiosity as it began to follow the three flying Jaquins, right behind their tails.

...

As minutes pass by, Skylar grew more suspicious "Guys, I swear. Whatever made that sound doesn't seemed too friendly by my account." he said with a hint of urgency.

"Skylar we have been over this. Even if you did heard something, it's not like it would be following us right?" Luna said, trying to get her cousin to get his mind of it. Truth be told, she too wasn't sure if her her relative was being honest or not as she herself just decides to let it go.

"Yeah Skylar, I know you would come up with excuses to run of and have fun. But since when do you made paranoid claims like that?" Migs said as he too finds Skylar's recent behavior to be a little bit unsettling.

The younger Jaquin sighed as he looked down "Maybe you guys are right and now that I think about it, I have never been this paranoid before." he said with a short chuckle "Guess I was just overthinking..." he said only to stopped in mid sentence when he spots some movement in the foliage bellow the three of them. "GUYS STOP!" he shouted, causing Luna and Migs to hault in the air.

"Oh what now!?" Migs said as he begins to feel irritated.

"I saw something moving in the jungle bellow us!" Skylar tells the two as he points his right paw down bellow them "Right down there, it was moving through the trees and bushes. Like it was stalking us or something!" The other two Jaquins looked down to where Skylar was pointing at, only to see nothing out of the ordinary.

"I don't see anything strange down there." Luna said while still looking around

"Skylar, if this is another of your pranks then it's not funny whatsoever." said Migs as he's growing more frustrated by the second.

The younger Jaquin was taken back by this "Guys it's not a prank! I swear that saw some-WATCH OUT!" Skylar tried to defend himself, but when he looked behind his two colleagues he saw a large mass heading right towards them.

Out of instinct, Skylar was able to grab both Migs and Luna at once and push both of them out of the way. Just in the naked time too as a large mass swept pass by them in a fraction of a second. The three Jaquins regain their bearings and turned their attention to whatever they managed to evade from thanks to Skylar's quick thinking, what they saw in front of them was something startling. Just right on top of a small hill by the tree lines was a large reptilian creature with a long tail and only two limbs and the head is almost skull like with it's skeleton almost visible to the eye. It was one of the Juvenile Skullcrawlers, though this one had been following the three Jaquins from the start.

"WHAT IN THE NAME OF AVALOR IS THAT!?" Luna yelled out in shocked as she did not recognize any creature like it in the jungles of Avalor or from their home realm Vallestrella.

"Whatever it is, it doesn't look too friendly!" Skylar commented in concern, seeing the skull like eye sockets on it's snout where the eyes should have been was a bit startling. Though it's actual eyes are further away from the back of the head.

The creature opens it's wide mouth, fuel with razor sharp teeth, dripping saliva and a long three-forked tongue as it roars right at them. The three of them instinctively fly away from it as fast as they can as the critter was hightailing them.

"We got to lose it! Try splitting up!" Migs shouted as the three fly in separate directions, Migs flew to the left and Skylar flew to the right, leaving Luna to keep going straight forward and unfortunately for her, the juvenile Halakrah chose to singled her out as it's first target.

"Oh why does it have to be me!?" Luna complained as she tries her best to outmaneuver the creature by flying through areas with denser trees and vegetation, through mountains and cliffs and even flying pass by some of the abandoned Maruvian ruins. But no matter what the predator was constantly desecrate through the obstacles and wrecked anywhere it run pass by, not caring for the collateral damage it causes as it was seconds away to get a bite of this unique morsel. "What is up with that thing? It's almost as if it was desperate to take a bite out of me!" Luna shouted in a state of panicked, unaware of how right she was as the Halakrahs have an extremely high metabolism, meaning that they are constantly starving and are desperate to get anything into it's jaws, to them anything counts.

"LUNA OVER HERE!" Just as Luna almost gave in though, she heard her cousin's voice as she turned her head to see him and Migs were standing above another cliff and right next to a huge boulder along with a pile of smaller rocks, dirt and sand around it. Realizing what they had in mind Luna flew right towards them and tried to gain distance from the creature as much as she could, so that her friends could initiate their plan without getting caught in it in the process. Once Luna passes by the two, Skylar and Migs pushed the boulder with all of their might as it falls off the cliff and lands right on top of the creature at the right moment. The boulder manages to pin down the creature, though it's starting to push the boulder out of the way. Fortunately Migs and Skylar had anticipate it's action as they push more nearby rocks and Luna came to aid them in pushing more rocks, dirt and sand which triggers a large landslide that falls on top of the creature, burying it in the process.

The three stopped for a moment and saw that the predator was now buried in a rubble of rocks, dirt and sand with the boulder being the main slab on top of it. Seeing no sign of movement, the three Jaquins take a few moments for a breather.

"Few! I almost thought I would become lizard chow there." Luna said with great relief.

"We got to tell Chief Zephyr about this creature!" Skylar stated the obvious rational action.

"For once I agree with you Skylar." Migs frantically said as he and his fellow Jaquins fly towards the Mooncliff Mountain as fast as they could to report their findings.

Author's note: AND CUT! Finally got this chapter done! I honestly thought I would never finished it before June comes. I apologies for such a long delay, I only managed to get this chapter done because of a one week break that I got. But I can assure you all that I have bigger plans installed for this story and others like it down the line.

And as for the song that Elena sang I wrote, I know it sounds very of putting, okay of putting is saying it mildly at this point, but I tried my very best, I wasn't the best musical lyrics writer in my music class but this is a Disney crossover and any Disney princess related shows/movies always bound to have musical numbers so it's pretty unavoidable to be honest. I hope this doesn't cause too much of a stir among you guys, anyways now that I manage to balance between my working hours and my free time. I might be able to write fanfictions more often again, but keep in mind I said the word 'might', so don't expect updates very often.

Well that's all for now folks, until the chapter releases. Give me comments, reviews and feedbacks as much as you all could because I would really appreciate it. See you all later!
