Concrete floors hurt... a lot, but I got some pretty derby bruises even though my skin doesn't bruise easily. I also went indoor skydiving! It was a total blast and waaaay harder than it looks. It made me sore in places I forgot I had muscles in lol.

Guest ... Sorry about not answering last time I had to update from my phone and your message had come in after I had already typed up what I was posting... I tend to update twice a month usually the second and third Saturday. I hope to keep this pace till I finish the actual book but that depends on what life decides to throw at me. As for Google docs I simply exceeded the limit as to what a single document could take. To fix it I just started a new one.

SunshineMLB... Editorial fixes don't bother me especially since I sometimes use the wrong word and wont notice since I read in pictures rather that words. Plus its my own story so I don't always catch things like that. I have a large vocabulary but I will still use their instead of there when I'm not paying attention. I cant promise that they will be changed right away since it can be a process to change out a chapter.

(Slow Burn Detective AU!) Marinette is used to working alone on the streets of Paris as she strives to take down the Hawkmoth gang. When the thief Chat Noir comes crashing into her life things are bound to get magical, especially when co-detective Adrien returns to Paris and seems to want to be her new partner. Will their fated partnership end in a capture or a kiss?

Skirmishes

The car door swung silently open below, a far cry from the usual kick and cursing Chat had seen the last few times out of her. This time Poppy was being surprisingly quiet so Chat knew he would have to make some noise soon to cover anything Stormy was doing as she snuck up on Poppy from behind. Unfortunately, that meant Chat had to quickly decide how he wanted to greet Poppy since he didn't have the time to follow her wherever she was going. There might be others waiting for her and while Chat knew he could take out a whole group of people it would be easier to take Poppy here then ask where she was going to capture anyone else. Then again Stormy might just want Poppy, Chat really didn't know. Shaking the train of thought from his mind Chat returned to how he wanted to make an entrance. Technically he could just drop to the alleyway below since the suit would protect him from the impact but that wasn't very dramatic. Chat was feeling the drama today so his other option was leaping off the edge then allowing himself to slide down the walls using his claws. No matter what he did Chat knew he was going to scare her but dropping suddenly before someone just didn't have the same effect as seeing something clinging to the walls with nothing but claws. With a grin Chat made sure that Poppy was heading towards the front of alley before he lightly leaped to the edge of the roof and jumped to the wall in front of him. His claws sunk into the brick scoring lines and making a racket as he slid down the surface. Halfway down he leaped lightly off to drop into a crouch a few feet in front of where Poppy now stood.

"What the hell?!" Poppy yelped, alarm coloring her tone as Chat rose up to his full height sheathing his claws mostly.

"Hello little moth." Chat growled his voice full of menace.

Poppy froze her mouth agape and Chat noted that she was fairly attractive. Her face had a doll like quality to it and she looked like she was built along the same lines as Marinette, all lean muscle but she was taller than Marinette also her eyes were brown. Her hair on the other hand was a riot of colors and she appeared far younger than Marinette. Now that he was up close she really didn't appear older than 17. In passing Chat would have never pegged her for a Hawkmoth member but a pin was hooked to her shirt negated that thought since he recognized it immediately for the Hawkmoth gangs symbol. Her hand moved to cover the pin but froze midway at his knowing gaze.

"W-who?" Poppy faltered as Chat sidled closer.

She was a good actress but there was no fear in her eyes as Chat moved, her gaze calculating instead and she was careful to stay far out of reach. It made Chat grin, causing a flash of real nervousness flicker across Poppy's face.

"You don't smell like fear little moth." Chat crooned spying Stormy as she moved up to the car. Somehow she had managed to get down to ground level without a sound so Chat only had to keep Poppy busy for a few more seconds. "It's ok though I can fix that."

He let his claws fully unsheathe and lifted one hand up so Poppy could clearly see them. Now fear flickered across Poppy's face and the slightest fear scent tickled his nose. Guilt picked at Chat but he knew from experience that sometimes the Hawkmoth gangs women were actually far more dangerous than the men. Slowly Poppy raised her hands as if she were giving up.

"Alright, alright… What do you want from me?" Poppy asked and as Chat chuckled, eyes flicking away she moved, one hand dropping to her waist as the other tossed something right at his face.

Through sheer luck Chat snatched the object from the air having a split second to recognize a knife between his fingertips then something sharp just barely pricked at his skin as it impacted is belly. Dropping the knife Chat swiped at the dart that had surprisingly pierced his suit even if it had only been just enough to prick his skin a little.

"Huh… never expected someone to shoot us with something that small." Plagg confessed "You're going to want to be careful. If she hits us up close with that dart gun, the needle will pierce through and from the feel of it, it's going to make you sleepy."

"Bullet proof?" Chat hissed his voice barely audible.

"A needle can pass through Kevlar kit. Same principal here, just don't get hit up close." Plagg answered as Chat slunk to the side pretending to be woozy.

"What is that?" Chat demanded shaking his head in pretend frustration.

Poppy grinned all trace of fear gone as Stormy slunk up behind her. "Do you like it? I'm good at making people fall asleep. Don't worry too much… By the time it wears off Hawkmoth will have decided what he wants to do with you. You are a frighteningly difficult kitty to catch."

"It's part of my charm." Chat snorted standing fully upright and making Poppy's face fall in confusion. "Goodnight Poppy."

Stormy struck on the end of those words and Chat winced at the static burst that filled the alley. Poppy jerked her whole body going completely stiff, then her eyes rolled into the back of her head, and she fell like a puppet who's strings had been cut. The gun clattered to the ground and Chat pounced on it making sure Poppy couldn't reclaim it in case she was faking.

"Took you long enough." Chat grouched as Stormy held out a hand for the gun he had claimed.

"Shut up Chat or I'll tell Marinette you got shot again." Stormy snapped

Chat rolled his eyes. "It's a dart gun so it doesn't count. Shouldn't we tie her up or something?"

Nudging Poppy with her boot Stormy shrugged, accepting the gun from Chat and shoving it into her waistband after making sure the safety was on. In the next second she pulled a pair of zip ties out of a pocket and started binding Poppy's arms as well as her legs. Once she was done she pulled out her phone and sent a message out before slumping down against the alley wall.

"Should we really be sitting here?" Chat asked.

It was starting to turn to evening and he needed to get back to the precinct very soon so people wouldn't start missing him. He was surprised no one had noticed his absence yet.

Stormy waved a hand. "If someone comes we take them down since they will probably be a Hawkmoth member too. I called us in a ride. They should be here soon."

Chat shifted on his feet feeling a little antsy. His detective side wanted to go explore the car Poppy had climbed out of while his predatory side wanted to haul the two girls up onto the roof. Being in the alley made him nervous since it was far too easy to sneak up on someone down here and yet Stormy didn't seem the least bit fazed. Long minutes passed while Chats tail twitched in agitation and Stormy tapped non-stop on her phone.

"Have you already sent Chloe's new position to Marinette?" Chat asked needing a distraction before he started pacing.

Stormy nodded "Yeah I sent it as soon as they pulled Chloe from the car. Max is probably sending schematics to her computer as we speak."

Chat sighed, it was probably going to be another long fairly sleepless night as they mulled over new data and he had to wonder for a brief second if a full blown raid was really worth the hassle.

"You seem tense." Stormy murmured watching as his tail lashed the air. She had a feeling that he would be prowling about instead of crouching if he trusted her more.

Chat flinched but decided an honest-ish answer was best. Stormy seemed to be just as good as Marinette when picking up lies and he didn't want to make her suspicious of him. "This is a bad position. Too many places to be snuck up on from and we don't know if Poppy was supposed to be meeting someone near here."

Stormy blinked looking around them and after a moment she seemed to pick up on what he was saying. "Sooo what would you do?"

"Stash the prey on the roof where no one can get it and try to find out why she came down this way. This isn't the best area so if she doesn't live here who is she meeting?" Chat growled

"Prey?" Stormy asked sounding amused and Chat flushed.

"You know what I mean."

Stormy laughed but she nodded after glancing at her phone one last time. "They will be here in a few minutes and there are two people who will help me search the area to see if we can find the answers to your questions. As she said those words Chat heard the sound of feet on pavement and he jerked upright holding a hand out to keep Stormy from asking questions. Moving utterly silent down the alley he just arrived at the entrance when a small child poked their head around the corner.

"Sissy?" They called questioningly as Chat took their appearance in.

They looked healthy, clean and Chats heart clenched as he realized that sissy was probably Poppy who was still lying unconscious in the middle of the alley.

"No RUN!" Poppy suddenly screamed from behind Chat, making him and the child both jump.

Stormy swore and the child whipped around bolting away. Chat was around the corner after them before they could make it five steps and he leaped over them, twisting around in time for the child to slam full force into him. The child yelped and Chat caught them before they could hit the ground.

"Easy little one." Chat cooed even as they let out an earsplitting wail.

Not expecting such a reaction Chat almost dropped them but he managed to grip them firmly by the arm even as they aimed a kick at his shins. After a moment's thought he bundled their wiggling yelling form into his arms and moved back to where he had left Poppy and Stormy. Stormy was pinning a writhing cursing Poppy to the ground and as Chat came into view her face went totally white.

"No, no please! Let her go!" Poppy wailed struggling wildly.

"Dammit Poppy stop or I'll put you out again!" Stormy snarled having a hell of a time keeping her pinned even though her arms and legs were bound.

"Leave my sissy alone!" The child screeched from Chats arms writhing like and eel.

Not knowing what else to do Chat moved into Poppys vision and sat pinning the child in his lap. The child squalled and punched but the blows were completely ineffective against him. It took a few moments but soon they exhausted themselves although Poppy continued to curse at Stormy.

"Watch your language! There is a child present!" Chat finally snapped in irritation not liking the fact that he was pinning a kid in his lap, making Poppy go still and quiet out of shock.

To his surprise the child giggled from his lap and he couldn't help the light purr that buzzed in his chest at the sound. He liked kids mostly, had a soft spot for them, and he was happy that the one he was holding wasn't screaming anymore.

The child gasped in the awkward silence, "Sissy he purrs!"

Stormy busted out laughing at the aghast look on Chats face and Poppy muttered "Oh you have got to be kidding me… He's a Whisperer?!"

Stormy who was still snickering climbed off Poppy and hauled her up into a sitting position while the child started chattering at Chat all fear apparently gone. "Not quite. I am though and you both are coming with me."

"You will not hurt this child nor use them as leverage." Chat snarled from behind her his tone so menacing that Stormy spun her hand flicking to the gun in her waist band.

Chats eyes had narrowed to frighteningly thin slits and he had bundled the little girl into his arms again his body hovered over her in a protective stance. He looked ready to bolt at the slightest provocation and before Stormy could say a word Poppy beat her to it.

"Easy kitty, they won't hurt my sister. They have a very firm no children involved policy." Poppy called not wanting her sister to be in the middle of a possible fight. She was grateful that Chat was protecting an innocent though. Perhaps Hawkmoth had lied about far more than she had suspected.

Chat relaxed a fraction since he didn't think an enemy would be so nonchalant with their sibling's life if it weren't true. A moment later he heard a car rolling towards them and he asked "Stormy is your ride almost here because someone new is coming down the alley."

Stormy glanced at her phone but the look on her face told him that it wasn't their ride. Poppy looked even more worried her face going white once more. "He wouldn't have…" she murmured and Stormy glanced at her.

"Wouldn't have what?" Stormy demanded as Chat used his staff to fling him and the little girl up to the roof. The child whooped in joy even as he settled her to roof out of danger.

"The gang has been going through changes. Changes me and my partner didn't approve of. We threatened to pull out and he disappeared the other night. They wanted me to carry Chloe inside earlier but I refused because it stunk like a trap. I think they have come to kill me." Poppy managed as Chat landed beside them again.

"Well at least we know for a fact it was Chloe we saw." Chat hissed tossing Poppy over his shoulder before hauling her up to the roof as well. Doors opened nearby as Chat dropped Poppy to the rooftop next to her sister. "Stay still and don't try anything. I don't like being violent with kids nearby and I will catch you if you try to run." He tapped his nose meeting Poppys eyes. "I have your scent now."

Poppy nodded and her sister threw her arms around her as Chat dove back into the alley to grab Stormy.

"What do you want to do?" He hissed at her even as he hauled her up to the roof.

"I've told my people to hold back so they don't get caught up in the crossfire. We need to see why these guys are really here." Stormy answered and Chat nodded.

Without a word he dropped back into the alley landing in a crouch as the first man came around the entrance gun drawn.

"Cars here!" the Man barked then noticed Chat crouched in the middle of the alley.

The gun came up as two more men joined the first. They had the look of hired muscle, big, mean, and as dumb as a box of rocks. Slowly Chat rose to his feet leaning nonchalantly on his staff.

"Well, well, well… I wasn't sure if she had gotten a message off or not… Are you here to avenge your comrade?" Chat lied while he prepared to strike.

"You killed Poppy?" The man asked gun trained squarely over Chats heart.

"Purrrhaps…" Chat purred back. "Why, are you here to save her or slay her?"

"Slay, she has outlived her usefulness." One of the others answered only to be smacked.

Chat grinned "Too late boys. I've already had my fun, maybe-"

The grunt in the center fired and Chat spun his staff deflecting the bullet. The men were stunned to stillness and even the air in the alley seemed to freeze.

"That was… unwise." Chat tutted then lunged.

He made short work of the idiots since they didn't seem to know what to do with a fighter that could move in any direction, at any speed. One of them even shot his comrade by accident although it was through the foot and technically it was a rebound off Chat's staff. As one of the muscle bound idiots fell a single lucky shot managed to graze Chats side. It didn't pierce the suit, nor would it bruise his skin, but in the moment it felt something like a rug burn which made him pull a few nasty tricks that probably weren't technically necessary. None of the men landed a single punch even though they tried really hard and Chat was able to take them out swiftly once he had shattered all their guns. Within a few moments Chat left them heaped in an unconscious pile at the alley entrance brushing his hands off and stowing his baton back in place. Stormy whistled in admiration as Chat climbed back onto the roof while Poppy looked a little gray.

"You were playing with them…" Poppy gasped noting how Chat didn't seem the least bit fazed.

"So I think you guys need a little more manpower for pickup." Chat hummed ignoring Poppys words. He had played with them far more than he should have and Plagg was still berating him about the graze but those idiots hadn't been able to fight worth a crap. Matter of fact Chat was certain that in his place Marinette or Stormy would have done far more damage to them than he had.

Stormy shook her head. "We won't take the trash. We have some fake blood and can make it look like you killed Poppy here. Unless you want to take those idiots out of the equation completely?"

Chats lips crinkled in distaste "I don't kill unless completely necessary. Where is your ride?"

"If I am coming with you, can I get our important stuff? Clearly my sister and I are not safe with the Hawkmoth Gang anymore." Poppy broke in before Stormy could say a word.

Chat and Stormy glanced at her then back at each other. "You will be faster." Stormy said in tone that dared Chat to try and contradict her.

Chats shoulders slumped then he pointed a clawed finger at Poppy, "Fine I'll take you, but I swear if you try anything I have no qualms about putting you out. Plus your sister is staying here."

Poppy nodded her assent and Chat hauled her over his shoulder dropping them to the alley where the grunts had come from. He carried her until she demanded to be put down and then he used his claws to slice through the zip ties on her ankles. From there he followed her to a hidden apartment entrance and she gathered everything she could from the stuff inside. By the time they got back the rest of the Whisperers had finally arrived and Stormy was chatting with them from the roof. Chat got her and Poppy's sister down then they all trooped to the waiting car while one or two stayed behind to make a fake crime scene. Before Chat was able to leave they had him use his claws to slash at the metal of the car hood but then they set him loose. No one demanded he hang around or report in anywhere so Chat decided it was best to head back to the precinct. Worried about the time he had already spent away from the precinct Chat made a beeline for the building careful to transform back in a hidden nook when he was sure no one had followed him. Slipping inside the precinct with no one the wiser was a little harder but somehow he made it to Damocles's office avoiding the cameras and the people. The gods of luck seemed to be shining on him that day because Damocles was asleep when Adrien walked in. Relieved Adrien was able to sit down and relax for a few minutes a file open in his lap. He had just leaned back and closed his eyes when his phone beeped. Glancing at it he heard a giggle and looking towards the door he spied Marinette.

"Caught you." She mouthed and Adrien felt his face flush.

He stood closing the file and moved to her side. "You caught me taking a break is all." Adrien grumbled as Damocles shook himself awake and noticed them standing there.

"Ah Adrien! You can go if you want." Damocles yawned "I'm sure you have had enough filing for one day!"

"Thank you sir!" Adrien answered leading Marinette away before he could ask when Adrien had returned.

Marinette's grin grew as she kept pace, "Has he had you down here reorganizing his Nest all day?"

Adrien shook his head happy his absence hadn't been noted. "No I've been out on the streets running errands for him a few times. How did the meeting go?"

Marinette groaned "I hate Roger and if it were any other person I would say your father is favoring him."

"That bad huh?" Adrien asked sympathetically

Marinette sighed "Kinda, Roger has brought up some good points and Gabriel is airing on the side of caution. I know why they want to set up this raid but there is just something off about it. I don't know…" shaking her head Marinette glanced down at her phone. "In any case we are about to get some answers. The Whisperers managed to save a Hawkmoth member from their own execution. Fu is questioning them now and we have been invited to come say hi."

Adrien felt his heart kick, "I'm ready if you are."

"Figured you would say that." Marinette laughed and together they walked out of the precinct.

They walked two blocks down and a car picked them up before driving them in a dizzying route until they finally pulled down a back alley. "You're on foot from here but you know where to go." Their driver called, "You have watchers on the rooftops so it's safe. Stormy said she will drive you back."

Adrien didn't dare speak as they walked to a random door and once she knocked in an odd pattern the door swung open. Stormy hauled them inside a grin on her face.

"We have hit the jackpot! Poppy has agreed to work with us on the condition we give her sister sanctuary. You would not believe the kind of stuff she knows! She even knows who some of Hawkmoths spies in other gangs are!"

"And Chloe?" Adrien asked since Marinette had told him about her being moved on the way.

"She is still in the one building Poppy dropped her off at. One of Pigeon Mans birds got close enough for us to hear her screeching about bed bugs and throwing a tantrum so we know for a fact that she is there."

"Good." Marinette sighed "I need to talk to Poppy. Is Fu done?"

Stormy shrugged and walked down the hall "I think so but even if he isn't he said to let you in."

Marinette and Adrien followed Stormy as she walked past several rooms until they came to a door that had a locking bar on the outside. Knocking on the door Stormy waited till someone called "Come in!" then she opened the door for Marinette and Adrien to enter. They walked into a sparsely furnished room where Poppy was sitting on the bed while Fu sat on a small stool. A small tea pot lay between them on the floor and Poppy's hands were wrapped around a china cup. Poppy's eyes flicked up to Marinette's her hands tightening on the cup.

"You here to take me in?" Poppy demanded throwing a glare at Fu.

"They are not here to arrest you or harm your sister. They are simply good people seeking information." Fu pacified.

"And as long as I tell her what she wants our deal is good?" Poppy demanded.

"Our deal is already satisfied young one. You do not have to answer any more questions if you do not wish too." Fu responded

"Does this deal involve a body?" Marinette broke in, a hint of exhaustion in her tone.

To Adrien's surprise and Poppy's Fu simply laughed. "No real bodies Marinette. Although your friend made quite a mess of the squad sent to execute Poppy."

"Wait you're Marinette?" Poppy demanded looking her over. "I thought you would be taller… the way some people talk I figured you would be six feet tall and able to lift a car over her head."

"She tends to slouch." Adrien said his voice completely deadpan.

Marinette swatted him as Poppy burst into laughter and even Fu had a small smile twitching at his lips. Once Poppy calmed herself she took a sip of her tea and Marinette took that as an invitation to speak.

"Look Poppy I just have a few questions. If you can't answer them just say so. I don't need a reason as to why." Marinette said forcing herself to relax a little. They were so close now. They had Chloes new location and they had a Hawkmoth member who actually knew the inner workings of the gang. With Poppy's help Marinette hoped to figure out why the gang was trying to set up the police force using Chloe as bait.

Poppy simply waved a hand in a get it over with sort of gesture so Marinette started her questions. "First off do you know if there is any plan to move Chloe to a warehouse near the party district?"

Poppy shook her head. "Not that I know of, pretty sure they are setting up a trap for you there though."

Adrien went stiff and Marinette frowned her worst fears confirmed "Why do you say that?"

Poppy shrugged "Because that's what this whole kidnapping thing has become! A way to knock you and some other annoying cops off without drawing attention down on Hawkmoth himself. If you guys die in a raid they can say it happened in the crossfire and the guys who will be shooting are just hired muscle anyways. You have really been ticking off Hawkmoth lately and the fire you apparently caused was the last straw."

Fu shot Marinette a questioning look and she shrugged looking a bit sheepish since she hadn't yet explained that fiasco to him yet.

"Ok so us doing a raid is a trap and Hawkmoth is aiming to kill Marinette?" Adrien demanded missing the interplay between Fu and Marinette.

Poppy sighed rubbing at her forehead. "Hawkmoth can't just have Marinette killed, if he did it would be war not only with the cops, but the Whisperers as well. Hawkmoth can't have that happen or he will probably lose control over the gang completely. If she is killed by accident on the job however…"

"But we know Hawkmoth is behind it all!" Adrien complained

"It doesn't matter Adrien." Marinette soothed "We don't have real solid proof that the Hawkmoth gang kidnapped Chloe. All we have is our word which means little. If me or another cop is killed in a raid there will be repercussions on those caught in the raid but not necessarily the Hawkmoth gang. All this means is that we can't let Roger and Gabriel go through with their planned raid."

"You're very calm considering they are trying to kill you." Poppy murmured

Marinette shrugged feinting nonchalance even though her heart was pounding painfully, "They have tried it before, just last year as a matter of fact and my partner died in my place. If they want to try again they will have to come out of the shadows and then we will get to see who takes out who. Last time they blindsided us. This time… I know they are coming and I won't go down so easy."

A measure of respect lit up Poppys eyes and putting her empty cup on the floor she curled her legs up under her on the bed. "What else do you want to know?"

Marinette questioned her for over an hour with Adrien or Fu breaking in with questions of their own. Poppy was a treasure trove of information because she was one of the people who were sent out to collect victims, or their debts. Poppy had a gift for making sleeping darts, gasses, and so on so Hawkmoth had used her frequently especially lately with Chloe.

"I think I got too close. I've risen through the ranks pretty fast for someone my age and I've made the muscle heads nervous after I knocked two out when they got touchy." Poppy confessed "Either that or Hawkmoth decided I knew too much and decided to make sure I couldn't tell anyone what I know. Buzz, my partner, or mentor I suppose, never came out of that building last night that I know of. He's probably in the river by now and he's the one that warned me about the gang being shaken up from the inside again. The members of the upper tiers were the first to start disappearing and being replaced by muscle bound idiots. It's just taken a while to permeate to my position. I've warned a few close members to get out while they can but I don't think anyone is listening and some people don't have a choice but to stay. I certainly wouldn't have had a choice if Stormy and Chat hadn't picked me up today. Although, Stormy really didn't need to hit me with her Thunder Punch, that crap hurts."

Marinette laughed at that glancing at her phone since another message had come through. "How long will Poppy be here Fu?"

Fu hummed in thought "At least three days. Paperwork seems to be more and more difficult to work around these days and I am sure people will be searching for her even though it will appear as if she had been killed."

"Wonderful… Well for now I have what I need. Thank you Poppy." Marinette said turning and moving towards the door with Adrien in tow.

"Um Marinette?" Poppy called making Marinette glance back at her curiously. "I don't think they are going to keep Chloe around for much longer, so you might want to pull her out soon. Also you have one scary kitty cat following you about."

Marinette nodded curtly and left the room with Adrien close behind. They were alone in the hall and Adrien had to walk fast to keep up with Marinette as she practically ran down the empty halls.

"So what are we doing?" Adrien asked

"We are setting up a raid. Max sent me schematics. Poppy just gave us numbers and the probable set up. Tomorrow I will go in and try to convince Gabriel that a raid at the Warehouse is a bad idea. If he listens I'll wing it. If he doesn't listen… We go in ourselves."

A thrill ran through Adrien at her words "Just you and I? Won't Stormy want to come?"

Marinette smiled as they opened a door to the outside and stepped into dusky twilight. "Gram would literally kill us if Stormy came with me on a raid. Alya and Nino will help us but physically it will be just you and I unless you have something better to do."

Adrien shrugged "Oh I'm fairly certain my schedule is freed up but please don't have me out past midnight. I need my beauty rest."

Marinette laughed shoving him at the wall before he could think about dodging. Adrien scooped her up once he regained his balance ignoring her squawk of indignation as he tossed her over his shoulder. It was an easy way to bleed off stress between them and the two of them play fought until they reached the place where Stormy sat in a car waiting for them. Unfortunately play time was over the second they climbed into the car and Stormy seemed resigned to the fact that she couldn't join Marinette on her raid. She did tell Marinette that they would have eyes on the building and would check in tomorrow several times to make sure the Hawkmoth gang didn't move Chloe again. They returned to Marinette's house where they began to set up their secret raid. Gathering all the information they needed actually went a lot faster the second time around since Adrien knew how to help better and understood the way Marinette thought. Plans were finalized and several routes into or out of the building were sketched out leaving them both yawning with exhaustion. Considering the past few extremely late nights they managed to get to sleep early wrapped once again in each other's arms.
