(Slow Burn Detective AU!) Marinette is used to working alone on the streets of Paris as she strives to take down the Hawkmoth gang. When the thief Chat Noir comes crashing into her life things are bound to get magical, especially when co-detective Adrien returns to Paris and seems to want to be her new partner. Will their fated partnership end in a capture or a kiss?

Stirring Things Up

Adrien slept peacefully and went off to work the next morning while Marinette slept in. After finishing up some projects and some last minute chores Marinette had finally sat down sometime in the late afternoon when she received a text from Alex asking if she could come out to the zone that night. The streets were becoming more dangerous by the day and since Marinette didn't have work to worry about she was more than happy to fill in as a Watcher for the zone. Adrien was less than happy when she informed him of her evening plans but he already had an early day planned, so he wouldn't even be able to join her out at the zone at all. His worry for her made Marinette smile although thankfully Adrien was wise enough to know better than trying to forbid her from being a Watcher for the Zone. It was something she had done long before knowing him and it was something she would continue to do no matter his feelings about it. Still he wasn't about to leave her alone out there unguarded, sleep be dammed. Besides, Chat Noir hadn't been out in several nights and Adrien felt that it was time to remedy that.

Leaving her flat early Marinette idly wondered if Adrien would still be awake when she got home. He was probably sleeping at his own place tonight since he had to go to sleep early and Marinette knew she would miss his warmth that night although as she chastised herself for even thinking it. Even though she would be getting home late, part of her really wished she was brazen enough to slip into his bed when she did get off Watcher duty. The very idea it made her cheeks dust pink while a goofy smile slid onto her face and it took all of her focus to pay attention her long enough to get her position from Alex. As soon as Marinette was alone she couldn't help but fall right back into her fantasies especially once she took up her position on the edges of the zone. There weren't enough Watchers tonight so she had a far larger area than normal. The only thing that worried her was even in her distracted state Marinette had noted a tenser atmosphere in the main hub when she went to find out what area she was supposed to be watching. Tomorrow night she would have to come out as a runner and see what she could glean information wise, since she hadn't been free running for quite a bit. Stretching for a long moment Marinette finally cast aside her fantasies while leaning against the roof access door and plotted her next pattern of moves across the rooftops. She took her job as a Watcher seriously but that didn't mean she had to sit still the whole night. Just as she was about to get moving a shadow darted in her peripheral vision while the stone at her waist band purred. The sensation was a somewhat welcome one since she knew what it signified, but still Marinette had no idea why Chat was hunting her down tonight. It wasn't a total loss though, after all Marinette did have a few questions for him.

Pushing off the door Marinette strode out into the open. "So what brings you out hunting tonight?"

Chat grinned as he slid from the shadows embrace, "A fair lady in desperate need of company of course!"

A snort slipped from Marinette before she could control herself, "If I wanted company I'd get a dog, or I would be running."

Chats nose wrinkled, his ears pinning back in distaste, "Really? A dog? Now you are just being insulting. I could help if you wanted to run though."

Marinette almost declined out of habit but paused as she thought through his offer. The miraculous stone was affecting her strength, speed, stamina, and most definitely her senses. In the raid Chloe had been feather light, her throw to secure their escape route had been farther than she would have been comfortable attempting in any other situation, and there were other incidents such as the scuffle with the Akumafied Spike. Ever since getting the miraculous stone, things had changed and unfortunately Marinette no longer knew exactly where exactly her limits were. Testing her limits was the best idea but to do so alone was foolish at best but deadly at worst and it wasn't like she could ask Alex or even Adrien to help her since it would lead to uncomfortable questions.

"You know the stone is changing me." Marinette hedged watching for a reaction.

Chat simply nodded. "You no longer know your limits do you? Have you broken someone yet?"

Marinette winced thinking of the fight with Adrien realizing just how lucky she was that she hadn't badly injured the poor guy. "Uh, no. But I don't want to either. How do I tell if it's just bursts of strength or permanent?"

To her surprise Chat grinned giving a mock bow as he held out a hand. "Why for that, we dance My Lady."

Marinette almost hesitated, she was on Watcher duty after all, but then again she had been about to make a round of her area… "Weapons?"

Chat shuddered "Not on me please, walls and rooftops only until we spar. Remember your little weights bruised me before, they might actually break something now depending on how much you have changed."

The reminder was sobering causing Marinette to swallow a little guiltily. She had sort of been looking forward to using her chains against him again even if it was only for testing. "Alright then… Catch me if I don't make the jump!"

Bolting towards the edge of the roof she registered Chats look of shock then horror as Marinette launched herself into space. It was a jump she had made dozens of times and really it wasn't too much of a stretch but from Chats angle it looked far worse than it was. A spluttering hiss wrung its way out of him as he scrambled after her and Marinette couldn't help but laugh as she landed. Tossing a grin over her shoulder in challenge Marinette took off knowing that if she needed him Chat really would catch her. They ran hard with Marinette pushing herself further than she had originally thought possible. At one point she had thrown herself at a gap that there would have been no chance of her making before. At almost 20 feet it was a flat jump no sane runner would have even dared. Chat had been at her back ready to scoop her out of the air if she came up short but not only had Marinette cleared it she had overshot, tripping over her own feet before rolling to a stop on the roof top. Skidding to a stop next to her Chat gazed at Marinette with a worried look but relaxed as Marinette laughed breathlessly.

"I just cleared that!" Marinette gasped accepting Chats hand before he pulled her up to her feet.

"You did!" Chat agreed although with a little less enthusiasm.

They had been steadily picking up speed and leaping further with every step they took as Marinette lead him around the area she was in charge of protecting. Marinette seemed to find exhilaration in throwing herself at the larger gaps but Chat was on the verge of having a fit. As of yet they hadn't found her upper limit for jumping, nor speed and Chat felt as if he were wound tighter than a ball of twine. Looking back at the space she had cleared Marinette giggled doing a dance that had her whole body wiggling even as she caught her breath.

"Ok so I know I can leap a few feet further since I cleared the edge here and rolled my way across the roof but I think for now this is about my limit." Marinette finally managed calming herself down.

Chat shrugged "It's nothing to sneeze at. The world record is only 29 feet for men a few less for women. Those are also world class athletes who work their entire lives for that one jump and you have been clearing these gaps back to back."

"You can jump further though." Marinette stated wiping at the sweat on her brow.

Chat nodded "I can but I'm also suited up. Without the suit I can't go nearly as far. You are already super human and even if the stone never fully activates you will have to keep your speed at least on the down low."

"I don't think my speed is all that different Chat." Marinette started then twisted out of the way as he lunged at her.

Mid-step he pivoted his boot swinging at her midriff and Marinette caught it using her meager height to pop him off his feet completely and throw him. Chat actually flew several feet managing to twist his whole body back around to land back on his toes. Sliding an extra foot Chat came to a stop only to make eye contact before one eyebrow rose in demand.

"Ooookkk… I guess my speed is a little different." Marinette said feeling a little stunned at how fast she had moved. It really hadn't felt any different but she had a feeling that Chat had just used a good portion of his speed to test her. The good news was she had passed with literal flying colors.

"Your speed from that little test shows that you are almost on par with me even when not suited up. That's… terrifying." Chat murmured coming back to her side. "We need to spar. Like really spar and see where you are. We also need to make sure you don't over extend your muscles since they won't be used to such strain quite yet."

"We can't spar up here I'm afraid." Marinette murmured her voice thoughtful. "If someone drops by and sees us going at they will call an alarm. We will have to ask Fu to borrow one of his extra-large Dojo spaces for a bit. I don't know if we could use one tonight but tomorrow…"

"It's a date!" Chat crowed feeling extra excited.

Marinette had almost handed him his butt in their dual just a few days ago but she hadn't been fighting in the right mind thus sealing any access to the stone she held. Adrien had noticed a difference in her speed as they had fought as well as her strength but then he had never fought her without the suit before so it had been a difficult comparison. As it was if it had been any other person fighting her in that rage they would have been on the ground, unconscious, in seconds. Now Chat had a chance to really test her skills when she wasn't in a rage and it had him burning with curiosity.

"Um Chat?" Marinette called drawing his mind back down to earth.

"Yes My Lady?"

"I… um… ITCAN'TBEADATE!" Marinette blurted and at his taken aback look she continued, her words at times running together. "I have someone already. Likeofficial but kind of not? Like he like, likes me but noonecan know! We want to date but he wants to be my work partner, well we both want that actually and…."

Chat burst out laughing and it was Marinette's turn to look taken aback for once. "Sorry, sorry Marinette! I-I didn't mean to laugh."

Looking down at the ground Marinette kicked at a random pebble "No, it's ok. I just… you flirt, like a lot and I don't want to lead you on and if I did I didn't mean to…"

Somehow Chat had sidled up to her and gently he hooked his fingers under her chin forcing her to look up at him. "Marinette I'm sorry if my flirting has made you uncomfortable. It's a habit, the bantering at least and since you haven't tried to arrest me since that first encounter I've become far too comfortable with your presence. I'll stop if you want since it's clearly making you uncomfortable."

Some gentle yet worried emotion swam in his eyes and Marinette gulped because they were awfully close all the sudden. Stumbling back a step out of Chats grasp Marinette took a breath then shook her head.

"Just maybe dial it down a bit?" Marinette asked seeing the pain that flashed across his face as she moved away from him. Dam those stupid kitten eyes… "I mean flirting is obviously part of your wicked nature. So some is ok just don't expect me to fawn over you or anything weird."

Chat rolled his eyes but relaxed at her words even as a slight spike of jealousy wavered through him. This was really dumb since it would mean he was jealous of himself and man was it a weird sensation for him to think of himself like that. In truth he wasn't actually positive he could promise to stop flirting since he was Adrien and had already claimed her affections as such. However he was proud of her for telling him that he was making her uncomfortable since that was one thing he had never wanted to do.

"Oh for gods sake kit, just tell her you're Adrien and end my misery already!" Plagg whined in the back of his mind making Chat bust out laughing again.

"Yes My Lady I shall tone it down." Chat chuckled as he gave an extravagant bow.

Rolling her eyes Marinette sighed and walked back towards the roof edge pulling out her phone to text Fu before they continued on her route.

Chat continued following Marinette as they trailed from the rooftops to the alleys below checking into anything that caught Marinette's eye and even flushing out a few people who looked like they were ready to cause some trouble. Even though Chat hung back in the shadows for those encounters the people ran away freaked because Marinette had dropped in on them like some kind of avenging angel. The encounters had given Marinette a great deal of satisfaction since she hadn't had to fight anyone and they were heading back to her starting point when it happened. The stone at her waist gave an odd pulse and for a brief second noise assaulted her making her whole body lock up in shock. It was the worst possible moment for her senses to expand because she was midair making her miss her handhold and bounce off the wall she had been planning to grab. Pain joined in on the reeling senses and Marinette barely realized she was falling. Falling to a very probable death but everything was too loud, even Chat who seemed to be roaring her name. Claws snagged her jacket and suddenly they were landing roughly Chat hauling her around panic in his voice as he called to her.

"Too loud!" Marinette whimpered her voice hardly louder than a breath even though the whisper made her feel like her ears were bleeding.

Chat swore mentally, realizing what had happened and using just enough strength to maneuver her he forced one hand from her ear cupping his own palm in its place to block the noise. He pulled the freed hand to his throat so she could feel his pulse as he pulled her head against his chest. It wasn't the most comfortable position but Marinette hardly squirmed since she seemed right on the edge of a panic attack. As Chat forced his breathing to regulate he could feel Marinette struggling to copy him which was an excellent sign. It took several minutes but Marinette's breathing evened out and her body finally began to relax.

"That was not fun. What the actual frick is happening to me?" Marinette finally asked her voice far lower than its usual volume.

Chat wanted to be pissed that Marinette hadn't told him about this as Adrien or even as Chat before they started running but he had a feeling Marinette hadn't realized that spiking senses could be so dangerous.

"Your senses are spiking!" Chat hissed softly knowing she could hear him even through his gloved hand, "Why the hell didn't you tell me?"

"I was going to… or at least ask you about it but we sorta stated running and I forgot?" Marinette answered shifting in Chats arms.

Chat let out a strained breath and helped her sit properly on the rooftop since she seemed better. "You hit that wall pretty hard. Did you crack your head? How long have the senses been acting up?"

Marinette winced, "Um head is fine, I somehow got my arm up even though my hearing is what spiked. I might have a bruise to show for it in the morning but I doubt it. As for the senses… they have spiked maybe four or five times. Eye sight once, smell once, hearing twice I suppose. Mostly I've been getting these… feelings."

"What kind of feelings?" Chat demanded wondering if something was changing within her body making normal systems go haywire.

Marinette grimaced rubbing at her ears, "Feelings kind of like I know when someone is watching me, or knowing that someone has arrived at my door before they do, or waiting that extra minute to leave the house because I just know someone is about to call."

"Like a sixth sense?" Chat asked relief in his tone, "Sounds more like your instincts are expanding as well as the senses. Maybe you will be a cute little puppy after all!"

Marinette glared at him but stopped rubbing at her ears realizing it was just making the skin tender and not actually helping, "I don't think a dog is going to cut it… I would think my sense of smell would be going haywire if that were the case rather than my hearing and what did you call it? My sixth sense?"

Nodding Chat rose to his feet gently pulling Marinette up too. "Intuition is another word for it. How are the ears?"

"The pain is gone as is the overwhelming sensation but I think this spike was permanent. My ears… I can hear your heart beat Chat."

"You will have to learn to tune all the little noises out again and only focus on them when you need too. Otherwise the world will begin to drive you mad. You also might want to sleep with ear plugs if the world doesn't muffle back down at night." Chat muttered keeping his voice low for her sake. "For now I don't think you should run anymore. Hop on and I will bring you back to where we started."

Marinette huffed but nodded realizing that Chat was probably right. She wasn't dizzy per-say but Marinette knew it probably wasn't very safe for her to continue like they had been. "The spikes in my senses are growing in intensity. Is there a limit or a sudden shut off?"

Chat frowned not liking the odds of her senses spiking so fast and seemingly back to back. Plagg had told him that his senses had just steadily gotten better with very mild spikes as they expanded. It seemed like Marinette's were spiking then returning to normal which was completely different. They really needed to talk to Fu about all this and make sure Marinette wasn't in any more danger than normal. If her senses spiked at the wrong moment like now and incapacitated her it would be a bad day for everyone involved.

"I-I'm not sure Marinette… It didn't happen this way for me. My hearing spiked like once but it was more akin to popping my ears and being able to hear clearly rather than a sudden all at once gain. Like the stones themselves, everyone is different so I don't know how your senses will continue to change. My sense of taste got mildly better and my sense of smell is above average in the suit but my hearing changed the most with my eyesight coming in second. I have impeccable night vision even unsuited these days. You might be developing completely different."

Wrapping her arms around Chats neck Marinette sighed as she settled on his back. "Developing? Really Chat? I'm going to become paranoid by the time this thing actually activates."

"The jumping senses shouldn't continue for very long. They will settle out once it reaches your own bodies limits. Getting used to them being heightened might be a bit harder." Chat murmured as he started running.

They were only a few rooftops away from where they first started and Chat released Marinette the second they touched down on the rooftop since she hadn't seemed very enthused at being carried again. Patting his shoulder in thanks she walked back over to the door where she had first started then paused one hand moving to the waistband of her pants. The oddest look was on her face as she fiddled with the waistband and pulled out a small stone emitting a rosy glow.

"It's… glowing…" Marinette murmured staring down at in shock.

"Get closer." Plagg demanded in Chats mind spurring him to move a few steps nearer.

"Marinette? Do you mind if I have a look at it?" Chat asked making Marinette glance at him warily.

"Sure I guess…" Marinette answered holding the stone up. She didn't think he would try to make off with it and something told her that even if he tried she would be able to hunt him down to get the stone back. Even in her hand Marinette felt a kind of connection with the stone that came and went in strength.

Chat reached for it and the as his fingers brushed it glow pulsed bright enough to blind them making Marinette jolt back. Her fingers clenched around the stone blocking the light and dimming the glow back down as she shook her head irritably.

"Do I want to know?" Marinette demanded wiping at her watering eyes with her free hand.

Chat was scrubbing at his eyes as well sounding irritated as he growled, "Try pulling the glow into you."

"Into me?" Marinette asked confused and glancing back down at the glowing stone.

"Yeah, apparently it's a mental thing, pulling the energy into you allows you to use it properly for other things and stabilizes the bond. Right now the spiking senses are happening because you are instinctively reaching for the stones power or the stone floods you with spurts of power if it perceives danger or something. It's kind of like having a bad Wi-Fi connection. You are both reaching for each other subconsciously but the connection keeps missing or linking for brief moments before dropping again. Pulling the glow into you will allow for a true connection instead of just spurts. Once you connect properly the first time it should follow that channel all the time." Chat answered and seeing her confused look shrugged sheepishly because Plagg had just stopped talking in his mind, "Sorry that's all I've got. Just try it I suppose and see what happens. After all the more practice you get, the sooner any abilities will develop."

Marinette frowned but what Chat said made a kind of sense. From the first moment she held the stone Marinette had felt a sort of connection to it. The stone had healed her, or at least lessened her injuries more than once and the spiking senses had all happened during times of duress or when her heart rate had reached a certain level. Even now in her hand the stone was giving off a calming buzz like pulse and on the edges of her consciousness she could almost sense something reaching out to her. The something was warm, inviting, and so strangely familiar that now that she finally noticed it Marinette didn't hesitate to reach back. It was like a handshake in the dark and something that felt like a safety blanket filled her mind. Warmth flowed up her arm from her hand into her core and Marinette opened her eyes to see Chats surprised expression.

"What?" Marinette asked looking down to see her skin shimmering with the faintest red glow. Dark spots seemed to float across the surface and Marinette yelped the connection shattering as she dropped the stone.

Chat caught it, raising a bemused eyebrow as Marinette shook her arms out then looked them over again. There was no red, no black, no glow, but the warmth in her core hadn't abated. In fact it simply felt as if it had just gone dormant. A good mental poke could easily kindle the warmth into a flame but Marinette had no idea what she wanted that flame to be.

"Soooo, does this mean you don't want it back?" Chat asked flashing the red and black stone at Marinette.

"I'm allowed to freak out if my skin starts to suddenly glow Chat!" Marinette snapped holding out her hand for the stone. "Besides I don't think it likes you."

The stone in his hand wasn't glowing per-say but it was giving off some kind of visual wavelength because she could see the air faintly rippling around it. It almost looked like a mirage and Chat shrugged placing the stone back into Marinette's palm. "It's just sniffing me out so to speak, this stone is my stones other half so there will always be some give and take on some level. Be very careful Marinette. I don't want to lose you."

Wincing at his words Marinette placed the stone back into her pocket. "Fu knows about the miraculous… tomorrow when we go to spar maybe he can answer some questions."

"That's an excellent idea. Maybe I can even-" Chat froze mid-sentence as Marinette's hand jerked to her waistband where she had just finished zipping the stone in. A scent floated past them one that Chat recognized and sent his hair on end. It was a muddled scent but it carried the bitter slime like smell that signified an Akuma.

"Akuma?" Marinette breathed her gaze already scanning the rooftops around them.

Chat growled realizing the stone had warned her of its presence like it warned her of his. "Probably, the scent is muddled, I can't tell from this distance. It may be one of Spikes dogs… or it could be that dammed Quilled Akuma since I never did figure out who snatched it."

"Someone snatched an Akuma?! When?" Marinette demanded sounding shocked and Chat realized that no one had probably told her of his and Stormy's finding.

"A while ago Stormy and I found evidence of Spike and the Quilled Akuma fighting but other than some blood puddles and tranquilizer darts we weren't sure what all happened. I guess the info slipped through the cracks since Spike popped up later and caused such havoc." Chat admitted

It was Marinettes turn to growl rubbing at her eyes. "So we may have a new Akuma, a mutated dog or the Quilled Akuma nearby… Should I call in an alarm at the Zone?"

Chat shook his head, "I'll go after the scent and see what it is. Obviously it's not behind us so seeking in fan like search pattern moving outward should work. If it stays close to attack I will find it."

Marinette grabbed Chats arm before he could take off, "No you don't need to go after this thing alone. I can help you Chat."

Pride filled Chats chest at Marinette's determined expression and it took all his willpower not to wrap her in a hug or kiss her senseless. Since he couldn't do either without some sort of painful repercussions he let a wicked grin pull his lips past his teeth. "My Lady your lack of faith leaves me just speechless."

Marinette raised an eyebrow, "Last time you fought an Akuma alone I had to put stitches in your back. Forgive me if I'm just a tad worried."

Chat swallowed his flowery speech realizing that Marinette really was concerned for him and lifted her hand to his lips pressing the lightest of kisses to her knuckles. It was probably a step in the wrong direction since he had just promised to tone down his flirting but Chat couldn't help himself.

"I will be safe Marinette. If it's something I can't handle I will call for assistance. At this point your stone might even guide you to me!" Chat laughed dodging backwards as Marinette swatted at him.

"You had better call for help otherwise when you get hurt I will hunt down the Akuma myself!" Marinette growled

"I fear for the Akuma then My Lady." Chat chuckled before turning and leaping away to check the area.

Marinette kept an eye out while Chat ran his search and alerted the other Watchers that there might be an Akuma in their midst. Thankfully there were no attacks and just about when Marinette was starting to get worried Chat returned panting, but no worse for wear. He hadn't been able to lay eyes nor claw on any Akuma which was a little concerning for the two of them. If the Akuma had been close enough for the two of them to sense it should have been attacking not hiding out. Nervous at this odd development Chat ended up hanging around Marinette's position till she finished her Watchers duties and only left when she had returned to a far safer area of Paris. Marinette hadn't protested his presence but had tried to send him home when she caught him napping on the edge of the roof. She had woken him by stroking her fingers through his hair when she was finally ready to head home since he hadn't woken to Marinette calling him. In between laughing and teasing that she needed to take him home instead she thanked Chat for hanging out and sent him on his way.

The next day Adrien was tired from the late night and in no mood to deal with Roger who for some reason wanted to go on a walk about of the city. The man paraded about like some sort of demented peacock not noticing that the looks people gave him were ones of distrust or annoyance. It was a far cry from walking around with Marinette and it was almost lunchtime when Adriens temper had just about frayed to the breaking point. Adrien was about three seconds from snapping Rogers arm since the idiot seemed to like to lean on him when Manon came screaming around the corner with a badly disguised Alya in hot pursuit. Fast as a cat Adrien leaped sideways but Roger was neither fast nor bright.

"POPPERS!" Manon screeched like a banshee squeezing off what appeared to be a party popper in close range. Instead of bits of confetti, rainbow glitter exploded into the air coating Roger even as Manon dove between his legs tripping him up.

"Sorry!" Alya cried not sounding the least bit apologetic as she barreled past clipping Roger and sending his already unbalanced self-right into the gutter.

Adrien watched the attack unfold and was hard pressed not to laugh as hands yanked him backwards into the alley he had partially landed in to escape the carnage. He already knew who those hands belonged to and he spun around sweeping Marinette into a hug. She like Alya was disguised, although hers was better put together.

"You looked like you needed saving." Marinette whispered conspiratorially.

Adrien laughed "I did but I don't think I should just disappear on Roger. He might think I was kidnapped or something."

Rolling her eyes Marinette released Adrien from the hug already able to hear Rogers curses. "Well he's probably going to want to change since that's super fine sticky glitter. He's going to be sparkly for at least a week. I'll be nearby once he storms off."

Marinette stepped further back into the alley as Adrien attempted to wipe the grin off his face before returning to the street. It almost broke him not being able to laugh at Roger who was attempting to crawl out of the gutter liberally coated in glitter.

"GODDAM BRATS!" Roger roared as he tried and failed to brush off the glitter he could see stuck to him.

"You missed a spot." Adrien deadpanned pointing to his shoulder causing Roger to spew even more curses as he finally stood.

"Why didn't you go after them?" Roger snarled his face going apoplectic as he realized the glitter wasn't coming off of him but simply spreading.

"It was a child playing. The Mother has probably already punished them for uh…" A snicker slipped from Adrien, "Covering you in glitter. You might want to go home, change and we can continue this tour at another time."

Rogers head had jerked up at Adrien's snicker but he had already managed to wipe his features free of amusement. Snarling under his breath Roger stalked off down the street vanishing around the corner and scattering people as they avoided his glitter festooned body. About three seconds after Roger vanished Marinette wove her fingers through his.

"Manon wanted to play spy hero hence the disguises and we will probably continue playing later in the park. Since you have been released do you want to meet Alya, Manon, and I for lunch then hang out?"

"That's adorable Marinette and I would love to join you guys for lunch. As for the park… Manon told me that Alya had the best stories so which part do I get to play in this tale?" Adrien asked as they started walking away. "

"You are the damsel in distress of course! Manon will be so pleased that she was able to free you from the bad guys evil clutches! She wanted to be your hero you know." Marinette laughed drawing a pained chuckle out of Adrien. He didn't mind playing such games with kids but the whole damsel in distress thing was so not his style. Even still Adrien was happy to be out of Rogers clutches so if Manon needed a prince to save then so be it.

They joined Alya and Manon for a quick lunch then went to the park to continue the fun. Manon had been thrilled when she learned that Roger had been completely coated with glitter and her plan of attack had worked perfectly. The popper hadn't been a real party popper but something Marinette had created in her own time one day. The poppers were a tracking trick of Marinette's for when she was hunting down multiple people at once. When she came upon two or more people she had to catch and they were close she would try and hit them with the glitter popper and that would make them far easier to track down later especially in a crowd. Since the glitter was hard to remove and got everywhere Marinette was usually able to track down anyone she managed to hit even if they changed clothes along the way. It wasn't an approved method and Marinette rarely used it to track people but she usually had at least one glitter popper on her at all times. Sometime later as Marinette was taking Manon home Roger texted Adrien telling him that tomorrow was his own to do with as he wished. When he showed Marinette she told him of her plans to go the Zone for the evening and invited him along since he wouldn't need to go to bed early. Adrien was thrilled since it meant he wouldn't have to slink around as Chat and once they dropped Manon off they returned to Marinettes to prepare for another fun evening doing Parkour.
