So I decided to make a series of one-shots that would be snip-its from what comes to my mind. I am in the process of writing the timeline for my other fanfic like I said I would if I took too long but that has already past 17 pages with about 9000 words and I haven't got to chapter 1 of that story. I had too much pre-lore for a fucking fanfic. What I get for crossing over a game that has a shit-ton of other crossovers that I would have to cover. Though I will have to shill for the timeline as it will explain who William Black and Jeanne Arc are, why they matter, and how they got so powerful. I try to focus more on that than these one-shots based on different Universes William and Jeanne join.
I don't own Fable or RWBY. I most likely will never own them.
On the massive valean airship going to Beacon Academy for the Vytal Festival, stood a massive man of nine feet. He looked to be about twenty-eight years old. He had blonde hair that darken to black at the tips. He had blue eyes that had red cracks that formed an X-shape. He was dressed in dark blue pants with a red stripe going down its sides, grey long shirt with a high collar with gold trimming around the sides and back of the throat, two belts with one worn like normal and the other worn from the left hip to the upper right thigh, two silver buckles, two black boots, two large black leather gloves that are the length of his forearm with a white metal plate that covers the outer forearm and back of the hand trimmed with gold color. A silver cuirass with gold trimming, designs in the armor, 7 gold buttons with 4 on the right-hand front side and 3 on the left-hand front side that are 2 gold color metal lines going across the torso. The top right button didn't have a opposing button but instead held one of the ropes for the small black cape with gold trimming that only covered up to the middle of the back. A red slash from his left collarbone to his right shoulder, another red slash around his waist with the ends coming out of the top belt's buckle, and golden epaulette on his shoulders.(1) He had an ornate longsword, compare to the man, attached to his bottom belt and a red clockwork pistol attached to his back. People on the ship near him would look at him in awe and whisper amongst themselves about who this could be, how tall he actually is, and what is with the military garb like clothes. The man ignored them as he was on a mission to find a runaway son.
He looked out the window and watched as a SDC airship land at Beacon Academy. 'Must be the first born of the Schnee with Ironwood present,' thought the giant man. As the airship he was aboard docked, the man made his way outside. He hear the flaps of wings and turn to it as a crow turned into a man in a place the man thought was out of sight. This only cause the giant man to smirk as he watched the 'bird man' with a grey broadsword make his way to the white haired sisters and the black with red tips haired girl. The giant man looked at the top of the light posts to see if the crow's twin raven was around. Once he spotted her, he moved towards her post and started to silently climb it.
Once he go to the top he grabbed the bird's body and beak and turned it towards him. The bird's eyes widen at the sight before her, a man she thought wouldn't be here of all places. A man that said he would be training family.
The man moved his hand from her beak and whispered, "Now, little Raven, be quiet and don't try to fly away. Let's watch the shit show your brother will cause together."
The raven only gave a nod of acknowledgement. The man smile broaden and place the bird on his left epaulette. He turned back just in time to watch the drunken crow destroy two of Atlas's sentry bots. The drunk crow proceed to provoke the older white haired sister into a fight. After the younger white haired sister tried to tell him off, the drunk crow shoved her out of the way and continue to provoke a fight with the older one. When the fight started, the giant man watched from the raven's perch on the light post. He had a frown on his face with the thought of how disappointing the crow's skills were as it wasn't at the level it should be, the crow hasn't been training properly. The man look to the raven on his shoulder as the bird looked at him, they both had the same thought.
After the fight was stopped by the general of Atlas and the crow said, "Actually, she attacked first", did the giant jump from his spot with the raven in his hands and landed with a loud thud behind the crow. The group turned to look at him with shocked looks from the general and crow. The man rose up to his towering height and place the raven back onto his left epaulette.
"Now Qrow, what did I tell you about lying?", said the man with a smile towards the crow. Qrow's eyes widen in fear at the man before him after he gave a disappointed tone with a smile that brought joy to the surrounding people. He knew he was in trouble.
"You clearly attack her protection detail, destroying a foreign governments property, and provoked her into a fight. That's two accounts of destruction of property with additional charges with it being an invited foreign assets to the country and your self-defense claim is null and void after your provocation of the fight," said the man as grabbed Qrow by the shoulder and guided him over to the general and his special agent.
"I apologize on my student's behalf, he is drunk right now and his decision making isn't quite at the level it should be. I'll cover the damages, just send the bill to the Arc family, General Ironwood," said the giant man with his hand out for Ironwood to shake.
Ironwood glanced down at the hand and back to the blue-red eyes of the man before him. He took his hand and said, "I accept, William Arc."
William looked over Ironwood's shoulder to see a white haired man and a blonde woman making their way to the group. William glance to Ironwood and nodded to the approaching group.
As Ironwood glance back, the black hair with red tips girl formed from roses in front of William. William looked down at the small girl and looked into her silver eyes. 'So she's here, surprised she isn't too afraid to approach me,' thought William.
"So you're an Arc? Do you know Jaune? Are you here to visit? Your gear looks similar but you have a gun. Why does Jaune not have a gun?", came the rapid-fire questions from the small girl.
William bursted out laughing causing the atmosphere around the area to feel joyful. The crowd stared with some getting a smile on their face or laughing, as if a force were influencing them to be happy even though most people had started their own conversation after the deal with the Arc and Ironwood. As William calmed down and stopped laughing, the force disappeared.
"Slow down, little one. You haven't even introduce yourself," said William with a smile causing the girl to blush in embarrassment. The girl reached out her hand towards the man.
"I'm Ruby Rose, leader of Team RWBY," said Ruby with pride. William took the hand firmly and relied, "I'm William Arc, Head of the Arc family."
After shaking hands, Ruby looked down with an embarrassed blush still on her face. She looked up at William and asked, "Soooo, about my questions…"
William smiled then said, "Yes, yes, no, and he ran off to Beacon before I could train him and give him a gun."
Ruby blinked in confusion as she did not expect William to talk like that. She had to rethink about the questions she asked William to figure out which question goes with which answer. William left her at that and moved to the white haired man and blonde haired woman.
"Good afternoon, Ozpin, Glynda", said William with a smirk as Ozpin cringed and Glynda had an amused smile on her face.
"I thought I asked you to not call me by my first name," asked Ozpin, "Anyways, I'm sure you're here for a reason." Ozpin gave a knowing smile to William as William's own smirk dropped. William then gave a glare at Ozpin that caused the man lose his smile and sweat a little.
"Yes, I'm sure you do, but right now," answered William as he then looked to the bird on his shoulder, "I'm sure we have other things to talk about. Glynda, can you please clean the drunk's mess for me? I know he is my problem but I don't want to give hints to the eyes and ears of the intruders that are still around."
This caused Ozpin's group to look around to find said intruder but couldn't see anyone that looked suspicious. Ozpin himself didn't bother looking as he knew that the person or people won't be found. So, he said, "Glynda, can you please clean up this mess the drunk made."
Glynda look to the headmaster and nodded before moving to complete the task. Ironwood stop looking after she moved to complete the task and watched over her. 'Just in case the intruders make to attack her," he thought to himself.
Qrow stopped looking around and looked back towards William. He then saw the raven on his shoulder, causing his eyes to widen. 'Where did he find her? Why is she here?", were the some of the questions that came to Qrow's mind. He believed that the raven was giving him a haughty look. 'Bitch.'
William started talking about the trip over to Beacon with Ozpin while Ozpin told William about Team JNPR and Team RWBY. Over to the side Winter and Weiss were talking about what happened when Ruby came up to tell Weiss what William's answers were. Weiss in shock looked towards William to see the similarities. She decided to talk to the man.
William sensed the aura of who would be Weiss of Team RWBY coming up to him. He turned around to acknowledge her presence, "Good afternoon, Miss Schnee. What can I help you with?"
"Good afternoon, Mr. Arc. I just came over to ask who the Arc family are and why Jaune wasn't trained in huntsman combat?", asked the heiress of the Schnee Dust Company politely.
"Well, the Arc family is a major stakeholder in most large businesses and a long line of huntsmen and huntresses. I personally train each generation of Arc that wants to be a huntsman but, I was delayed in the training of Jaune by a certain father-in-law and general," said William as he glance at Ozpin, who had his mug up to his face and a smile, then at Ironwood who was still watching Glynda work. He then finish answering the question by saying, "So I wasn't able to get to Jaune in time. We don't having anything on aura in the house so the boy went to Beacon with a transcript by a coffee-addicted man that couldn't mind his own business without any aura. The boy is brave but he should listen to his elders better."
Weiss looked confused at what William just said. 'Did he just say Jaune didn't have aura when he came to Beacon? That idiot!", thought Weiss. She then moved to ask more questions to William when Glynda made her way back to the group after finishing the job.
"You ready to go to my office, William?", asked Ozpin.
William look to him and nodded in acknowledgement before turning back to Weiss. He told her, "Looks like I have to go, it was nice to talk to another daughter of the Schnee family," before making his way to the group of Ozpin, Glynda, Qrow, Ironwood, and Winter that will make their way to Ozpin's office.
'Did he just imply he talked to Winter before?', thought Weiss as Ruby made her way to the heiress.
Inside the dorm room of Team JNPR was a fit blonde teen that was staring at his scroll in horror. On the scroll was a message from 'Patriarch' that said, "You better have your stuff packed by the time I get there or there will be hell to pay."
This teenager was none other than Jaune Arc, runaway child of the Arc family that got transcripts from some drunk at the closest tavern to the Arc mansion. 'I need to get geared up! I can't leave when I made the most friends I have ever made in my life here at Beacon!', thought Jaune as he made his way to the locker rooms to gear up.
On the way there he ran into the rest of his team. When he tried to move around them, he was stopped by Pyrrha, who noticed he was worried.
"Where are you going, Jaune?", asked Pyrrha to understand what was going through her leader's, and crush, head.
"Yeah, fearless leader! You don't look so fearless right now," asked Nora as she noticed that Jaune looks full blown panicked right now. He never looked as panicked as he did right now. Ren noticed their leader was also fearful for some reason and was curious as well.
When Jaune couldn't get around his team, he sighed and answered, "I'm heading to get my gear. This could be my last day as leader for Team JNPR."
The rest of Team JNPR was in shocked at what their leader said. Pyrrha asked the question that was on their mind, "What do you mean, Jaune?"
Jaune looked down then looked back up at his team and said, "The patriarch of the Arc family is here to take me back to the Arc household."
"He can't do that, Jaune. Right now, you're under Beacon's guardianship. No family can take you out of this school, not even the Schnee family," calmly answered Ren, with confidence that he didn't understand was misplaced as he didn't know anything about the Arc family besides that Jaune had seven sisters.
"Yeah, your dad can't take you away, fearless leader," said Nora with a confident smile on her face.
"My dad might not be able to," said Jaune, which caused Pyrrha and Nora to sigh but Ren to narrow his eyes, "But my dad isn't the Patriarch of the Arc family."
This brought confusion to the group. "Your grandfather?", asked Pyrrha, who made the next obvious guess.
Jaune shook his head and said, "No. While we do call the old man grandpa, he is farther along the line. He is the husband of the first Arc, Jeanne Arc. He took the last name Arc."
"Like my father," said a voice behind Jaune, who then turned around to see Weiss and Ruby.
"I guess? Did he take your mother's name?", questioned Jaune, which caused a tick mark to appear on Weiss's head.
"Of course, you dolt! What else could it mean?", asked Weiss before sighing and continuing, "But why does it matter?"
"He's going to remove me from the school," answered Jaune, "He's going to take me back home."
"What do you mean he's going to take you away?", asked Ruby with curiosity to Jaune's problem.
Jaune sighed, he knew he would have to tell them at some point about his transcripts. He gathered the courage to confess and responded, "I didn't get into Beacon properly. I faked my transcripts. I didn't even know what aura was?"
Shock spread through everyone, Pyrrha's being from Jaune willing to confess to his fake transcripts. Shock turned to realization as to why Jaune didn't have any fighting skills or knowledge that the rest of the students had. While anger did come to Weiss it was overruled by the confusion then came to Jaune not knowing about aura.
"What do you mean you didn't know about aura? It's talked about in every huntsman book available! Didn't you hear about it from your family?", asked Weiss as the rest look to Jaune for the answer.
"I was home schooled by my parents and the Patriarch would keep any information about huntsmen out of the house so that way we could only learn from him. When he didn't show up when I turned 17, I left to the nearest town to find a way to become a huntsman. That's when I ran into a drunk guy with a broadsword that told me how and gave me a filled out transcript that only needed my personal information along with a signature," explained Jaune in embarrassment.
Ruby could swear that person sounded familiar. 'Could he be talking about Uncle Qrow? No, Uncle Qrow would never do that,' thought the red reaper.
"So you just trusted some random drunk that said he was a huntsman? You really are a dolt," said Weiss with disappointment in her voice, like scolding a child.
"Well, I really wanted to become a huntsman and he showed me his huntsman license. So I didn't have anything to doubt his words until I partnered with Pyrrha and learned about aura," rebuttal Jaune against his accusations.
Ruby quickly responded before Weiss could continue, "Don't worry, Jaune. Team RWBY will keep you safe from the Patriarch meanie. You came to our support against the grimm in the city when we needed you, even when we didn't get to tell you we needed it!"
Weiss sighed at her leader's actions, but knew she was right. Team JNPR came to their support in their time of need without being properly asked. "We'll keep you safe from your family's Patriarch," replied Weiss to Ruby's promise.
Jaune was in shock, he honestly believed Weiss would still leave him out to dry even with Ruby voicing her team's support. That's when he's partner said, "We'll also keep you in this school, Jaune."
Jaune turned to his team to see them with a reassuring smiles. He was glad to gain such supportive and understanding friends even with how crazy they can be. 'Well, I'm not exactly the most sane person in this school,' thought the proud blonde as he then addressed the whole group.
"Then let's gather the rest and gear up," said Jaune as he moved to the storage lockers.
"Why would we need our weapons? Can't we just convince him?", asked Ren.
Jaune didn't stop, he just shouted over his shoulder, "He hasn't been convince to change his ways for over a century! He isn't going to be convinced by what he considers to be children!"
This caused Ruby and Weiss to shout, "What do you mean he is over a century old?!"
Meanwhile, William and Ozpin with Ozpin's group just made it to Ozpin's office. No one wanted to start talking with the presence of William with a raven on his shoulder.
"Are you going to explain to me what has been happening since I completed the Ace Ops and Winter's training a week ago?", asked William as he looked down to everyone in the room.
Ozpin went to his seat and explained the happenings with White Fang and intruders to William. William listened and tried to feed the raven bird seeds, which caused the bird to squawk in indignation at such an action. This caused William to chuckle and the rest of the group, besides Ozpin, to wonder why William had a raven on his shoulder.
"Why do you still have that bird, William?", questioned Ironwood while looking at the raven.
"Oh, you can't tell. I shouldn't expect people to have knowledge in everything Ozpin does, even his most trusted group. Makes it messy if someone betrays you to Salem. Glad you thought of that, Oz. Otherwise, all your secrets would be leaked by the spy in your group," replied William to the general, causing panic to spread through the group.
"What do you mean a spy in the group? What group?", asked Winter as she stared at everyone in confusion.
"What is she even doing here?", asked Qrow as he remembered that she was present for a meeting that she wasn't authorized to be part of.
Before anyone can say anything, William answered, "Because she is going to be the next Winter Maiden. So she has a right to know who are going to be her protectors and allies."
Beacon part of the group looked at the Atlas group and William in shock while Ironwood glared at William for giving away the information. William gave a flat look at Ironwood that cause the man to let go of his glare and turn back to the group to confirm that Winter would be the next Winter Maiden.
"Back to the question Winter asked, I can't confirm the traitor but I have my suspicion," said William before he smirked, "But I'll tell you through a tale." This Ozpin to smile and lean back in his chair while the others eye-rolled at the massive man with Qrow pulling out his flask for the tale.
"There was once a wizard known as the great and powerful Oz," said William as everyone eye-rolled while Ozpin chuckled, "He was sought after when a girl in ruby shoes appeared to the world for an escape. This girl guided by a witch named Goodwitch," the group glanced at Glynda before looking back at William, "had to adventure to the Wizard with a scarecrow without a brain..." William had to stop as everyone started laughing at Qrow who gain a scowl on his face. Even the raven was laughing at him.
William continued after everyone calmed down, "a tin man without a heart…" More laughing happened with Ironwood be in the place of Qrow. "And a cowardly lion," said William with seriousness on the last part.
The room grew quiet, the realization starting to settle in. The cowardly lion could only mean one person. But how could the brave Lionheart be a coward? Before anyone that knew Lionheart could ask William what he means, William said, "The girl in the ruby shoes was hunted by the Wicked Witch. A woman that could turn the bravest of men into the lowest of cowards."
"Are you telling us that Lionheart is compromised by Salem?", asked the leader of Remnant's Secret Society.
"I am only given out my suspicions on the only one of the group that is acting out of character," answered William. Ozpin sighed, he has noticed the changes of Leo but he wanted to believe it was the hardship of the Headmaster sending his students to fight the grimm. To think the possibility of him to be a traitor never came to him.
"I say we should just keep this information in mind instead of jumping the horse and throwing Leo out," said Ironwood, causing a sense of surprise through the group at what Ironwood said, "We don't know for sure if he is a traitor but we should be cautious of the information we give him."
"I agree, we don't know if he is a traitor and working for Salem. Nevertheless, we have to investigate him and any teams he sent here," said Glynda. Before Ironwood could interject, Glynda continued, "And not investigate the teams with Atlas soldiers. They most likely would be prepared for something like that to happen with all the Atlas airships flying around."
Ironwood backed down in understanding. While he would like to argue that they would be discrete, he knew that the infiltrators would catch on.
"Yeah, not every discrete are you, tinman," mocked Qrow as he then gestured out the window, "You let the enemy know that we are on to them."
Ironwood then took out his scroll and moved to connect it to Ozpin's desk to project the fleet and Vale to make a point. Before he could place the scroll on the desk, William grabbed his hand.
"Don't you think it is unwise to connect the scroll with the access codes to all of your military drones to a desk that is connect to a system that the infiltrator was messing with?", William told Ironwood as the raven squeaked in anger at the general. The general and group then had a look of realization and horror about what William just implied.
"Are you saying the infiltrator hacked the Vale CCT system?", asked Ozpin with a concern tone.
"What else would they be doing at the CCT tower? Looking at your porn history?", responded William, "I'm sure they don't want to see all that grimmified women raping huntsmen porn you look at Oz."
Qrow and the raven laughed at the response. While Glynda glared at William for his immaturity with a hint of a amused smile on her face. Ironwood had to put a hand to his face to fake cough as a way to hide his amusement to the joke while Winter was confused about the joke as she didn't have the story behind what made the joke humorous. Ozpin rolled his eyes as he was used to the humor of William.
William let the birds calm down before continuing, "The intruder's plan was most likely to gain control of the CCT tower, that way they could have access to all the tech that gives people information."
"So you're implying they're going to use it to spread fear through out Vale?", asked Qrow as the rest of the group came to a similar conclusion.
"Correct, Ironwood's scroll would have been an added bonus. You should inform your troops of the danger their scrolls can cause if they connect to the local CCT, Ironwood," answered William. Ironwood would then gesture to Winter to help him contact the fleet to inform them of the new information and orders. While that was happening, William would try again to feed the bird on his shoulder to no avail.
"You still haven't answered the Special Agent's question about the bird," asked Qrow as he look at the raven, "It better not be who I think it is. But with my luck, it most likely is her."
William smiled at Qrow who was glaring at the raven. He answered with a fake disappointed tone, "Now Qrow, what did I tell you on how you should treat family?"
"Raven lost that status the instant she ran out on Team STRQ! She abandon not only me and her husband but her child as well!", Qrow shouted back while pointing at the raven.
"How could she come back after gaining the spring maiden's powers?", came the shocking response from William. This cause the group to jaw dropped at the new information the group received.
William looked to the bird and said, "You going to transform and tell them your story or should I?"
Raven jumped off William's shoulder and transformed into her human form. Standing tall and proud, she looked at the inner group she was part of not too long ago. She looked to her twin brother and said with a teasing smile, "Good to see you again little brother."
Qrow groaned in response and muttered "I need a stronger drink for this."
Raven then got serious before giving her attention to the full group. Ironwood and Winter just got finished giving out orders, though they looked indifferent to the revelation of the identity of the bird. Mostly because Winter didn't know her and Ironwood didn't care about one of the students of William being here. Glynda glared at Raven while Ozpin looked indifferent and a little curious on how she got the power of the maiden.
Raven then spoke, "I got it from a weak girl that couldn't handle a few grimm."
Silence spread through out the room. A pin drop could be heard from how quiet it got. This was broken by Qrow charging at Raven, only to be caught by William.
"Let me go! Let me go so I can kill the bitch!", shouted the enraged man in the giant man's arms, all while Raven stood there with the biggest shit eating grin at her brother.
"Stop!", shouted William, which caused a dominating presence to flooded the room. Everyone felt even small than they already are to the nine foot tall man. Qrow stilled in William's arms causing William to let him go. William then turned to Raven with a glare that almost caused her to flee into a portal to Tai.
"Now, inform the group about what your plan was with the former Spring Maiden. This time without trying to upset the people here," demanded William with the presence increasing. Raven quickly nodding, causing the presence to vanish in an instant.
The group let out a breath they didn't even know they were holding. Raven then looked down at the floor before looking to the group with what dignity she had from the disaster that was her plan to protect a maiden.
"I found the spring maiden in Mistral while on a mission. I started training her to defend herself, but I knew she needed additional protection. Then the decision to takeover my old tribe was made. If I could reform the tribe into something better, I could use it to form a group that would protect the Spring Maiden. So I quickly made to takeover. Once I had full control of the group, I introduce the maiden to them. I started to personally train the maiden in how to lead the group and properly survive out in the wasteland. After I finally set up a better system to transfer leadership of the clan by trials in the grimmlands, I took the trial first. One week in grimmlands, I fought grimm I never seen before, grimm older than some of the kingdoms. Once I returned, I decided to train the maiden even harder. Then her trial came, I was so happy to finally return to my family. I could leave this tribe to protect one of the maidens from Salem and tie the loose end of the Branwen Tribe. The last day of the trial, I felt my connection to the Spring Maiden start to fade. I instantly made a portal to her and found her bleeding out with an ancient death stalker standing over her ready to finish her off. I killed the bastard. The fucking shit stain that destroyed all my hard work and killed my student! On the last day of the trial no less!", shouted Raven as her face was scowling at the thought of the grimm.
She took a moment to calm herself before continuing, "I then moved to the dying girl and held her in my arms. She smiled at me and told me 'I'm sorry I couldn't complete the trial, I'm sorry'. I told her I forgave her as her life faded away. Then the power flowed into me. I didn't even register it until I buried her with a pile of rocks and her spear as her gravestone. I spent a few days clearing the area of grimm. I started learning how to use the powers properly, though most of my knowledge came from training her. There was no way I was going back to the family with the massive target on my back. So I continued my plan with myself serving as the Spring Maiden."
There was a heavy atmosphere in the air. Nobody wanted to cut through it. Most of the group felt sorry for Raven, except one.
"You should have been better."
Gasps were released by some and everyone glared at William, who had a stone face.
"You failed to ask for support, you failed at planning properly, and you failed at observing your surroundings to determine if it was safe for the Spring Maiden to take the trial. You have failed," said the now most hated person in the room, "Though I guess I have failed as well."
Now the glares that have lessen throughout his speech turned to confusion.
"I let you have too much pride to ask for support in your plan. If I had strengthen your bond with your team, maybe you would have shared your plan with your team and got the support you needed," said William, before sighing, "Though the main reason behind this failure is not teaching you with additional teachers. If I had trained you to be more well rounded in fighting with any type of weaponry, you could have trained the girl better. Hard to teach spear techniques when you speciality is the sword. While some skills can be transferred, the two types of weapons are too different. I have failed you as a teacher, as a master, and as a friend."
William took his left hand and covered his face in shame. He failed to teach his students on how to properly teach others. He should have known that they would want to teach others. Then he felt a pair of arms wrap around him. He looked down to see Raven hugging him.
"It's not your failure to bear, William. Quit with trying to take the responsible off my shoulders. I'm a big girl, I can handle it," said Raven as she backed off and look up at him.
William then felt a hand patting him on the arm, causing him to look at the person doing it. Qrow stood there with a small smile and said, "Yeah, big guy. You don't need to feel responsible for anything. We make our own decisions."
"You brats, my failure was not giving you enough teachings and information so you can make better choices," said William, before smiling, "But, I appreciate the support nonetheless."
William then dropped the smile before glaring at Qrow.
"Now, why did you give Jaune those fake transcripts? Better hurry as I still have to collect him."
Team JNPR and Team RWBY were station inside of Professor Port's classroom as they decided it would be unwise to stay in either team's dorm. The group meant up with Blake and Yang at the locker room after Ruby called them to inform them of the situation. They agreed to help their ally and friend against a tyrannical family member. If only they knew who they were messing with.
"So this Patriarch of yours is coming to kidnap you. Why?", asked Yang as she looked towards the only other blonde in the room.
"Because I didn't wait for him at the mansion. He just disappeared after going to Atlas to train a group for some general. We honestly thought he was dead, but he set a deadline of one semester of Beacon once I became qualified to join Beacon. Specifically by fake transcripts, believe it or not," said Jaune as he watch the windows for the group with his shield and sword out.
"I just can't believe he kept any information from you about aura, dust and fighting out of your household. How did you not try to search for that information before turning 18?", question Weiss as she checked her dust supplies and weapon's dust compartments for what seemed like the hundredth time.
"The man has a lot of power and control throughout the kingdoms. He pretty much had the service to our scrolls block any information about huntsmen. While my parents were allowed to tell stories about the families legends, they could not under any circumstance tell anything about how to become a huntsmen. I was always Wait for William to train you or Gramps will teach you to be one of the greatest warriors on Remnant, though they did tease me about how he would train my future wife as well," said Jaune with a far off look.
"So your Patriarch is a massive control freak," said Blake before sighing, "wonderful. That means he will stop at nothing to get you under his thumb again."
"I'm surprised he didn't ask where you were when Weiss and I talked to him after Uncle Qrow beat Weiss's sister," said Ruby with a smile.
"What? Is Uncle Qrow here? Why didn't you tell me?!", responded Yang to what Ruby stated.
At the same time, Weiss with her arms crossed said, "What do you mean your uncle beat Winter? If I recall, General Ironwood had to stop Winter from beating your uncle after he got too cocky."
"Pshhh, Uncle Qrow would have dodge any attack your sister could have launched at him," denied Yang as she wave her hand at Weiss. Ruby shouted her agreement to Yang's statement.
Before Weiss could make an argument back, Nora suddenly shouted her theory on the Patriarch, "What if this guy actually knew Jaune-Jaune would somehow get into Beacon?! What if he knew what teams would be formed before hand and decided it was wise to make Jaune think he was dead causing fearless leader to search for a way to become a huntsman?! What if he gave the fake transcripts to Jaune?! What if it was his plan from the beginning to get us to know each other so that way he could create the two greatest sister teams on Remnant, destroying the Grimm threat once and for all?! *gasp* What if Jaune and Ruby had some super op ability that they didn't know about?!"
Everyone was quietly looking at Nora. Before Ren could respond his doubts, the intercom in the room turned on and the faked sobbing of William was heard before saying, "Oh woe is me! My evil plans have been foiled by the great and powerful Nora! How can I compete when such intelligence?!".
William's voice then turn serious, "While it is correct I would have trained any friends of Jaune's, I didn't plan for Jaune to be at Beacon until your second term second year. I was going to use that time to teach Jaune aura, sword techniques, and upgrade his gear to anything he would have liked. But I had a bug problem in another universe that needed my attention. Billions of lives are more important than a slight set back in Jaune's training. We could discuss this later. More importantly is my demands. As the God-Emperor as my witness, you will face my might if you don't surrender."
"God-Emperor?", whispered Weiss.
"If you think we're going to let you take Jaune, you have another thing coming!", shouted Pyrrha to the intercom.
"I gave you the chance to make this non-violent and you still choose violence," said William before taking an excited tone, "Good~, I wanted to see what teachings my students pass down to you: Weiss, Yang, and Ruby. See how well my students taught the next generation. Prepare yourselves."
The intercom cut off after the speech. The teams got ready for William to storm the classroom. They watched the door and windows for any signs of a giant 9ft tall man. But they never thought to check above.
Bursting from the ceiling, William landed in the middle of the group on top of Jaune. As Jaune was pinned under William's foot, William swiped his sword, Sword of Aeons, around himself. It flung Ruby and Nora back as they were the first two hit, but the rest jumped out of the way in time. Yang then charged in to engage in CQC while Pyrrha started to flank to the left. William blocked Yang's punch by grabbing her hand with his left hand while turning his back to Pyrrha with his sword blocking her strike. He just insulted their abilities, he showed how powerless he thought they were.
Before either could attack again, William side kicked Yang into a wall. William then turned his attention to Pyrrha who was already in a defensive stance, when suddenly a ribbon wrapped around his neck and pulled. William smirked before grabbing the ribbon by his left hand and wrapping it around his arm. He then shouted, "You shouldn't try to lasso an enemy that exceeds you in strength, Belladonna!" He then pulled on the ribbon and throw the other end at Pyrrha.
Pyrrha dodge Blake's falling body before being engaged by William. He's strikes with heavy and precise to the point of it being difficult to use her semblance to move them off course. Thankfully help came in the form of Weiss using her semblance and gravity dust on William. The sudden increased in gravity slowed William for a split-second before he returned to his previous speed. Weiss poured in more while Pyrrha then started to use her semblance to weigh William down. It was effective for a short time before they had to increase their power in their semblance. When William stopped moving they thought it was over, then William chuckled.
"You children are amusing."
He then moved at a speed faster than their eyes could follow and appeared before Weiss. Before Weiss could stab him, he disarmed her with his own sword and smacked her to the other side of the room. When she hit the wall and her aura flashed, she was dangerously low from how much she was putting into her semblance. A blade or could pierce throw it without breaking her aura, if it had enough force.
William then moved to re-engage Pyrrha was forced to dodge sniper bullets from Ruby. Ruby keep the pressure on for Nora to move in, when suddenly William throw a vial of dust at Nora. The vial broke and lightning ran throw Nora's body. Nora didn't look a gift horse in the month and used her new found strength to engage William in combat. William grabbed the shaft of the war hammer and spun Nora around until she let go of the hammer and went slide across the room. William tossed her hammer out the window. William put his sword away and ran to engage Nora in hand to hand combat. Before he could reach her, a flaming hand strikes him in the side. William slid on his boots and look to the flaming hair, red eye girl that hit him. Yang than ran towards William while Nora came to join her. The two fought William in hand to hand combat. The problem was most of their strikes were blocked or parried to hit the other girl. Then William suddenly grabbed something behind him and throw it at Nora, who punch it in the face. Ren was out for the count and his body pushed Nora away from the fight and on her back. Then Yang's body came flying over both of them.
William ran up to Nora to finish her off, then shots came at him from the small sniper. He swiped kicked Nora, sending her flying with Ren's body and knocked out. He then took out his pistol and fired directly into Crescent Rose's barrel. Ruby, enraged, activated her semblance and rushed to engage William in combat. It didn't last long as William dodged her swipes and used the flat of his blade to knock her out. While great for hordes of enemies, large scythes weren't the best for single combatants. William then knocked her away.
He turned to Jaune, only to be engaged by him and his partner. Two combatants with a sword and shield against one combatant with just a sword would usually go in the two combatants favor, even when the single combatant was a master swordsman. But this wasn't just any everyday master swordsman, this was William Black, father of Heroes of Albion, First Son of the God-Emperor, the god-slayer. Also, Jaune's stance was a little off, he'll have to fix that later. So, William kicked Jaune away and engaged Pyrrha with increased speed and strength for she was the only one standing in his way.
Each strike weakened Pyrrha and lowered her aura, even though she was blocking each of them with help from her semblance. But the momentum of the strikes was making that ability useless. Then a strike hit her blade causing the top half to separate. William grabbed the broken off tip in his left hand, then disarmed her before knocking her out. He then re-engaged Jaune in a sword fight. He was evaluating his stance and techniques. He saw Weiss getting ready to join Jaune against him. So he throw the broken tip of Pyrrha's sword at Weiss, targeting a non-fatal spot. It landed perfectly, but cause the screams of four people.
Jaune looked to where William throw the broken piece, to see it embedded in Weiss. Weiss looked down to the piece and fall on to her back in shock. Jaune screamed out "No!", before rushing to her. He hear the screams of the rest of Team RWBY then heavy fighting and shouting behind him. When he got there, he pulled out the tip of the blade and tried to transfer aura like Ren was trying to teach him. His hands glowed a bright white color. The wound start to heal and Weiss was coming back to her senses.
William was having the time of his life. The rest of Jaune's sister team finally went all out. He was dodging, parrying, and blocking blades and fists. He redirect a blade strike from the faunus girl to Tai's first daughter. Yang moved out of its way and re-started her attack. He then grabbed Yang's fist and tripped her before swiping and disarming Blake. He moved to advance on the cat girl before having to dodge the swipes of a scythe. He grabbed the scythe and knocked out its user, Ruby. He then was hit in his back by the strongest punch he felt from people that he didn't teach on Remnant. He turned to see the flaming dragon. Putting his sword on his back and using his powers to hold it in place, he engaged the flaming youth in front of him with her sister's weapon. The strikes were doing damage but the blonde didn't care, she continued throwing out punch after punch. He heard Blake moving in behind him, so he slide left for hope of friendly fire. He underestimated Yang's focus and was now being attack by a bumblebee combo. After they did their practice combo on him, he rushed follow and knocked Blake out with a quick swipe from the scythe. He then shifted the weapon to compacted form and put it on his lower back above his Red Dragon pistol. He rushed over to Yang and engaged in a fist fight. The exchanged lasted two minutes before he unbalanced Yang and grabbed her by the throat then pick her up from the ground by it. She didn't expect to be let go then punched to the other side of the room and blackout.
Weiss felt great after the wound healed, she felt like she could take on the entire school and its faculty. As she stood up with speed she didn't know she had, she turned to her savior, as far as she knew. Jaune looked relieved to see her alright. Before she could thank him, Yang came flying over them and hit the wall then dropping to the ground. Jaune turned to go to her to use his newly acquired semblance but Weiss stopped him as it wouldn't matter with the monster coming their way. She would need the boost if she was going to take this man on.
"Jaune, I know you want to help Yang, but I need you to keep using your semblance on me," ordered Weiss as she had a grip on his wrist, "I'm going to be using a lot of aura but hopefully it will be enough to stop him. I can't do that without you backing me up."
Jaune nodded before reapplying his semblance. 'Why does it have to feel so safe, warm, and comfortable,' thought the heiress before refocusing on the monster that is approaching them. She used a summoning glyph and what appeared was the Arma Gigas that Weiss defeated to get where she was. It swung the large blade it had down at the Arc Patriarch.
William blocked the blow from the Arma Gigas with his sword. 'Well, looks like the Schnee can summon now. Winter would be proud,' thought the large man, 'But this summons has far greater strength than it should, guess the boy really does have the Arc Aura Amp.' William then engaged in a sword fight with the summons, but he went for killing blows as it wasn't a living creature. But every time he did damage, the summons would heal or regrow its limbs. Then William took a deep breath, his stance changed. Neither Weiss nor Jaune knew what the William did besides looking as if he fought with the Sun through his blade, but the aftermath wasn't what was expected. The Arma Gigas in so many pieces that the summoning disengaged. With a different type of breath intake, William appeared before Jaune and Weiss. He fluidly disarmed the Schnee before knocking her away. He then swung down with a heavy blow towards Jaune, only to be blocked a sword that looked exactly like Crocea Mors but with a double headed eagle as the cross-guard and far larger than the Crocea Mors held by Jaune. William looked to the holder of the blade with a grin. The holder was a beautiful voluptuous blonde woman that stood at an eight foot height. She wore plated armor that was painted white with gold trimmings and designs. She put her blade into the sheath at her side.
William back off and put his sword on his back, in case the others woke up and attacked them after the woman used her semblance. When she didn't move or motion to heal any of the people around him, instead looking at him with a glare and disappointment.
"What?", questioned William to the woman. She gave a reasonable response to such a dumb question, in her opinion.
"What the hell is wrong with you?! You could have killed them! You even used the breathing sword techniques! Those could cut throw them like a hot knife throw butter!", shouted the woman.
William responded stupidly but firmly, "They were given the chance to step aside and stay down after I knocked them away. They made their choice, Jeanne."
"This isn't the Imperium, William. You shouldn't expect them to give up their friend without an explanation. This is exactly why I followed you here as I knew you would respond like this to learn their techniques to better teaching later instead of learning them when you got back with Jaune. You always like to go about these things like a fool! Always wanting to fight and leave the talking for later," angrily responded Jeanne Arc, Matriarch of the Arc Family. The one whose name was used for the founding of their family. Her glare still burning a hole into William.
"But this way causes them to feel I'm worthy to teach them and learn what they would do during a battle against an enemy," said William in his defense.
"That doesn't matter, William. These kids are going to fear and distrust you for going about things this way. Do you actually want that? They'll develop paranoia if you continue to try to teach this way," rebutted Jeanne.
"Pretty sure that your mother would cause them to develop paranoia anyways," relied William with a shit eating grin. He then had to dodge a punch to the head but got hit in the stomach by his wife.
Jeanne then said, "That doesn't make it right, William. Also, keep my mother out of this. You and I both know it was the influence of the gods. For fucks sake, she has her body tainted by the dark brother's power!" She then sighed before continuing, "Just gather up all the kids so I don't have to spread my aura at such distances. Also, go get Nora's hammer you throw out the window while I heal the kids."
William just sighed and moved to do what she asked. Jeanne turned to Jaune with a smile and said, "I saw you unlocked your semblance."
"Yeah, thanks for coming," Jaune said before asking, "But what did you mean by him explaining what he was going to do? Is he still taking me away from Beacon still?"
Jeanne just gave a loving smile and said, "He is still is going to take you away from Beacon, but it's to remove the now damage seal on your aura."
"Seal? But I thought my aura was already unlocked by Pyrrha. Are you saying I had more this entire time?", questioned Jaune as he watched William gather his friends into a group, "How can that be? I already have more aura than all my friends."
Jeanne started to use her own semblance to boost the auras of Jaune's friends and said, "You have a lot more aura sealed away, you're only using five percent right now."
"Ok, but why would I need to leave beacon? Can't William just do it here?", asked Jaune as some of his friends started to wake up.
"The amount of aura released would damage your surroundings. I saw the recordings from when your partner unlocked your aura, that massive light would seem like a nightlight compared to Sun when unleashing of all of your aura. It most likely would effect your surrounding with that amount of energy being released. You also have to remember your aura increases your strength, speed, and regeneration. These boosts will increase by ninety-five percent as well, you wouldn't want to accidentally harm your friends here at Beacon," said Jeanne.
"I wouldn't and if it's the only way to keep that from happening, I'll do it," said Jaune in a firm tone. This cause Jeanne to smile in pride at the caring nature of the boy. Too bad the moment was ruined by a different blonde.
"Did anyone get the number on the bastard that hit me?", said Yang while getting up with a headache. The rest of the group were getting up as well.
"Jaune!", shouted the group as they came to the realization of what they were trying to protect.
"Still here," replied Jaune with a sad smile, "For a while."
The rest of Team JNPR and Team RWBY turned to him. He was pulled to them by Pyrrha and the group surrounded him again. Pyrrha then said, "We're still not giving him up.", as she glared at the blonde woman, who had a smile on her face. 'Wait, woman?', came the thought from Pyrrha.
"Well, looks like the ass kicking wasn't enough. Already asking for round 2 from a fresh opponent. You guys are clearly courageous, but foolish. We're not going to kill him, so don't waste your lives for it," said William as he re-enter the room with Nora's hammer, Magnhild, "Also, my parents were married when they had me and I'm not giving you my number."
William then throw the Magnhild to its owner, causing confusion to spread. The man who just flatten them has rearmed one of them. William recognized this confusion and said, "I'm not scared of you guys being armed. I already know I can beat you. Now, please turn your attention to my wife." He then pointed to his wife.
The group turned to look at the blonde woman, now identified as the Arc Matriarch. The woman gave a gentle smile to the group before stating, "I'm Jeanne Arc, Matriarch of the Arc Family. I would like to apologize for my husband's stupidity," a scoff was heard from William before being silenced with a glare, "We weren't going to take Jaune away for more than a week. It was only going to be for a week. Just in time for the singles rounds of the tournament."
The group relaxed, besides Blake who glared and said, "How can we know it isn't a trick?"
"Because I'm staying to help your sorry asses into being Huntresses and Huntsman. Improving teamwork, fighting technique, aura usage, and so forth," answered William with a pokerface.
"While I will be helping Jaune with his aura control and semblance. After all, it is my semblance as well," replied Jeanne with a smile, "You'll see when we get back."
William returned to Beacon after removing the seal on Jaune's aura, unleashing it to the world. The pressure was heavy but nothing compared to the pressure that William and Jeanne had withstood before from more powerful beings. William walked to the dorms of teams RWBY and JNPR. He knocked on both doors at the same time by standing in the middle and spreading his arms. Ruby opened her door a split second before Nora opened her door.
'Of course,' came the thought to William. He looked to see if the others were getting ready for training before noticing that only Team JNPR was getting ready while Team RWBY only had Ruby ready. This caused William to frown before moving into Team RWBY's dorm. William then said, "Why aren't you guys getting ready?"
"We're going to have to wait for Yang to finish showering," said Weiss with a hmm of confirmation from Blake.
"I don't give a flying fuck if you're think you can wait on a teammate! You either investigate if they're alive or you keep moving on with the mission! You don't get to stand there waiting for them! Now get out in the hall with Ruby or I'll throw your ass out there," shouted William at Weiss as he pointed to the door.
"But-," said Weiss before being interrupted.
"I don't care about your ass, Schnee. I'm not Jaune Arc. I'm William Arc, so get off your ass and move it to the hall. You too, cat. Leave the book here," William said before moving to the bathroom door, "I'll get the Dragon out of her den."
He then kicked in the door to the bathroom causing a scream of ,"What the fuck!", to come from Yang as she used her arms to cover herself and massive amounts of steam to leave. As he turned to the girl in the shower and shouted, "Time to get the fuck out, training is starting! It's already late as it's pass 9:30, so time to get the fuck out!"
"Get out you creep!", came the reply of the nude teen.
"Listen here, bitch. I had to deal with this from your mother. I throw her ass out into the dorm room and dumped cold water on her and used wind dust to dry her. Unless you want the same treatment, you better turn off the water and get your ass dry and dressed in 5 minutes or you're giving Beacon a show on the way to the training room," said William firmly while looking into the eyes of Yang, making her even more uncomfortable than if he ogled her.
"Ok, Ok, just get out!", shouted Yang as she looked away from him.
William left while saying, "Remember, 5 minutes or the most embarrassing experience of your life happens."
As William entered the Team RWBY dorm room, he heard a crow laughing while a raven was screeching at it from the window. William then moved to the window and opened it with a demand to the two birds, "You two better get over here and perch on my shoulders or so help me, I'll get the bird cages!"
Two bird instantly tensed before flying over to the giant man and landing on a shoulder of their own. William then closed the window then moved to the hallway with the rest of the group. After about 5 minutes, Yang came out with damp hair. William then pointed and laughed at her causing Yang to start her semblance and drying her hair. William stopped laughing with a look that said he confirmed something. William then said, "Good, your hair is now dry and we don't have to worry about it smacking someone in the face with the force of a hammer. Learn to use it to dry your hair faster. Now," he looked at everyone to make sure everyone was paying attention to him, "your showers are limited to 10 minutes. If you surpass the limit, I will personally break the door down and drag your ass out. You need to learn that you can't spend too long bathing or you will die to the grimm out in the wild. I'll prepare you later for if the grimm rip your clothes. It will be better if you practice now with your team than waiting it out. Start with tank tops and short shorts, then moved to underwear."
"What?! Why do we have to do that, you pervert!", shouted Weiss with a massive blush and glare in her eyes. The birds on William's shoulders chuckled as William made his response to the outburst, "Because the Grimm don't care about your decency. You will lose your clothing eventually and its better to get used to people seeing you naked than trying to cover yourself while surrounded by grimm. You'll get killed if you try to cover yourself. You need the preparation for not only to be seen without clothing but staring at others without clothing themselves."
The group still looked uncomfortable with the thought so William said, "This isn't going to happen until Jaune gets back," Pyrrha perk up and blush at this, "so you don't have to worry for a week. But I still suggest you practice. Learn to ignore the nudity. Jaune already has practice with this from his family."
"Wait, Jaune has seen his family naked?", said Yang with a hint of disgust, that was shared with her peers.
"Yes, it's to get him used to it from a young age. It's why he always looks you girls in the eyes," said William before smirking and looking at Weiss, "and why he doesn't care for cup."
This caused the group to laugh with Ruby trying to hide it and Weiss glaring at him. Before she could response, William cut her off and said, "Now let's get to the practice room. I'll give you my card to buy the clothes if you don't have any to practice with. Make sure to buy lingerie as well."
The group then made their way to the practice room.
When they got to the practice room, William had them all sit down in the center while he locked the door and turned off any recording devices. He then made his way to the group and circled around them. A vulture circling his prey. He had them tell him in more detail about the events the teams experience and the reasons behind them. As a renewed argument of White Fang and Schnee Dust Company(SDC) was about to start, he stopped it.
"Shut up!", shouted William before calmly stating, "I don't give a fuck about your dispute on this as you both clearly don't know everything right and wrong on both sides." This caused everyone but the birds to look at William with confusion.
When William noticed they were about to ask how two people heavily involved with the White Fang and SDC didn't know about the situations of both, William said, "You both don't know the fall of Jacques Schnee and White Fang. You don't know the extremists and false accusations that caused stress to both."
Blake looked critical, especially with the Jacques, and asked, "What do you mean by extremists and false accusations?"
William sighed and sat down between Pyrrha and Ruby. He then started the tale of the fall of SDC and White Fang, "At the start, Jacques was just your average Atlesian businessman, he fell in love with the daughter of the head of the SDC, and the only racist against faunus was the jokes he told. When Nicholas Schnee retired, he appointed Jacques as the new CEO. At first, it was business as usually with minor improvements. He would take the major decisions to Willow Schnee to discuss what to do with them. After Winter, Jacques couldn't bring as many major decisions to Willow. After Weiss, even less were able to be taken as she had to care for a baby and teach a daughter. When Whitley was born, he stopped trying and the consequence is the widening gap of their relationship. This was all happening as the world demanded more dust while also demanding more standards that slow down production. Jacques was starting to grey early from the stress, with white hairs starting to take the place of the grey hairs as well. Stress from lawsuits of people that lost family in mining accidents that were caused by trying to meet the demand of dust from the governments of the world while trying to follow the safety demands. Stress from stakeholders demanding action and more profits. Stress from workers trying to Unions trying to form as estimates came in about the decrease in production and the estimates of the loss of life if production decreased from the formed Unions. So, a few years after Whitley was born, Jacques snapped from the stress. His black hair turned to white from all the stress. He was disconnected from his family for so long, he doesn't even remember what it was like to feel love. Surrounded by hate, he lashed out to his family. There died the man known as Jacques and rose the monster of the same name. He became colder to everyone. Union protestors were all fired. Faunus were hired as slightly cheaper labor and no risk of unions forming. Mining became more dangerous as he ignored the safety regulations. Even the ones placed by Nicholas. He pushed the laws to keep families from suing for more money than the life insurance already provided for at the job. Thankfully, it was a good amount and he never changed that by my request. But the worst things to happen by Jacques's new actions was how he treated his family. Every action committed by him to his family pushed him deeper as he hated himself each time. But every action committed to his children was to prepare them for the most depended on business in the world and the high-class world. He wanted his children to prepare for such a life. But he was blinded to what was happening to his children from his twisted way of love."
William sighed while looking at the faces of the group. Sadness was heavy for everyone. It was expected as they are only children and learning something most adults don't even know. Running a company that is depended on to stop a major threat to humanity having major stress wasn't the first thought to appear in most adults' heads but how much they're making. They don't think about the decision made to supply the kingdoms with ammunition against the Grimm but the decision on what new yacht. Not the dependents on humanity's survival for the decisions but the supposed choice of the next maid he would lay. As if he would have time or care at this point when the White Fang steal the dust that is going towards the safety of the kingdoms and most importantly, the safety of his family.
William continued the tale, "Jacques sacrificed his love for his family to the alter of safety. It's why he tried his hardest to stop Winter from joining the Atlas military and you, Weiss, from joining Beacon. In his crazed mind, he had to stop you no matter what to keep you safe at the Schnee manor. Thoughts of assassination and grimm killing you drove him mad," William then looked down, "And it's all my fault."
"What do you mean it is your fault?", questioned Weiss with curiosity and a hint of anger.
William looks to the Schnee and said, "I stood to the side as he was ate alive by the board. I had time to do it as the gap to start training Ironwood's AceOps and Team STRQ was there. I didn't do anything. I only kept the life insurance policy safe for the workers, not for Jacques's reputation. I didn't even try to help Jacques with his CEO duties or investigate the other mines for racist employers under corporate. Even when reports of branding of faunus employees came in, I ignored it. I could have very well took the Arc family children to the Schnee Mansion to play with you girls will your mother helps Jacques with the business decisions." He paused for awhile before smiling a darkly and saying, "Well, I couldn't take any of the Arc children as they could tell Jaune about what it takes to be a huntsman, even with me patrolling the library as they could just ask the aspiring girl what being a huntsmen is. Can't break tradition for some other noble family."
"So you're saying you refused to help my family because it would have helped Jaune learn to be a huntsman!", shouted Weiss with fury, "What is wrong with you? You're even more controlling than my father. You have ran the life of the Arc family for centuries and refuse to help even business partners because it could potential weaken your control!"
"Yes…and no. I could have helped with business decisions and killed the ones branding employees. Then moved to remove said markings from the employees. Then remove the markings from the memories of the surrounding population. It would all be so easy, too. But I didn't. It would interfere with my mother-in-law's plans and I refuse to be a piece in the in-laws' game. I only train their human pieces. Though recently, I did have to make a deal to save the father-in-law's special piece but it would causes challenges for you in the future," said William as he smiled at the group. The smile was one born from worry.
"What challenges would we face?", questioned Ruby.
"There will be an increase in grimm creation rate throughout the world. Not just the common ones but the rare ones as well. Enough to overwhelm the defenses of cities. I had informed the Headmasters already," said William, then he sighed before continuing, "The deal heavily favored the mother-in-law, in a logical sense, but the sentimental value was far more in our favor."
"What deal did you make and with who?", asked Ruby with a bit of worry at the grim future ahead of the group. 'We already deal with massive hoards already, but to think they will only increase in size,' came the thoughts of the group.
William gave a sly smile now, "I can't give away the surprise and I already told you my mother-in-law."
"What? So your mother-in-law is the Queen of the Grimm? I don't buy it," said Yang with an eye-roll and a laugh. William dropped his smile for a serious look at Yang. Yang's laughter died down as William was being serious. 'There is a Queen of the Grimm? How? Why?', came the thoughts of the teens sitting in front of William.
William didn't allow anymore interruptions and said, "All that doesn't matter right now, you will be informed of the situation when Jaune returns. I'm going to inform you about the fall of the White Fang." This caused the group to perk up, especially a certain faunus.
William then started with the beginning, the end of the Faunus War. "After the Faunus War, many of the faunus fled to Menagerie," said William before chuckling at the word Menagerie.
The group looked confused besides Blake, who looked angry and said, "What's so funny?"
William then bursted into laughter, causing the birds to jump up from his shoulder before settling back down once he slowed down his laughter. When he finally stopped, he looked back at the group before saying, "It's the name I suggested to the faunus. They actually accepted the name without knowing its meaning."
"And what does it mean?", questioned Weiss.
Looked into Blake's eyes with a smug smirk and said, "It means a collection of wild animals kept for exhibition."
The room grew quiet with just a stare down between the Patriarch of the Arcs and daughter of the Belladonnas. One with a smug stare and the other with a fiery glare. Before Blake could start shouting at William for his racism, Yang cut her off and said, "Let's have this discussing later and continue with the reason of White Fang's fall into extremism."
Blake glared at her partner, who gave a pleading look back. Blake sighed and dropped it. 'He did say he made faunus jokes with Jacques before, but to think he would make a racist pun the name of a faunus nation,' thought Blake before her eyes widen, 'Oh Oum, please don't tell me the Arcs like puns! I already know the Xiao Longs do but to think a large and old family could all be pun lovers! Is it genetic?'
Before Blake could continue down her line of thoughts, William continued his tale, "When the Menagerie was formed, the kingdoms throughout the world saw a great decrease of their faunus population. This didn't stop the racism however. Many of the nations still had laws that discriminated against them. My family actually used our power throughout the kingdoms to remove those laws. While there are still some laws that target faunus, its mainly the ones that are made in the safety of all of humanity. Laws like mandating horned faunus either dull or cover their horn tips to keep from piercing people or objects. The problem though was the individuals. While organized groups existed to attack faunus, they were few and far between. It was individuals getting in positions of power that abuse it that lead to most of the discrimination against faunus. Belladonna family was one of the faunus families that rose during the war and helped other like-minded families create the White Fang."
William was stopped by the group yelling, "What!", and looking at Blake. Blake Shrunk into herself as she didn't look at the group around her. Team RWBY and remaining members of Team JNPR was shocked that she came from a prominent faunus family. Though Blake took Team JNPR's shock as surprise to find out she was a faunus, not knowing Jaune pointed out the obvious to his team during their first day. They had to explain to Jaune about the discrimination of faunus in the kingdoms as he didn't understand if it was a fashion choice or something else. He may be good at cooking, massages, dancing and house chores but he had little understanding about things outside the household.
"You can question her after I'm and maybe understand why she didn't tell you after revealing herself as a faunus," said William, "It was created to show they aren't so different and to expose racist business owners. It was a rights movement that was slowly changing the minds of the people in other kingdoms because how could the faunus be the monsters in the dark if they just use peaceful protests against the discrimination they face. Then the veteran humans against the faunus from the Faunus War gathered. They made attacks against faunus in the protests but this only caused more of the public to support the White Fang. When the White Fang protestors fought back, it was encourage by the public. My family has personally swayed politicians through these actions and public support to make laws to stop discrimination of faunus at businesses without proper reason. The only places that can give proper reason are services and they are heavily regulated to ensure the business isn't just trying to discriminate for racist reasons. A good reason would be the faunus traits in the way of the service, like a tail that gets in the way of a ride or ears that don't fit for helmets. A bad reason that would lead to fines or closure is hair clogging the drain. I myself ensured to minimize the good reasons by providing equipment that can accommodate faunus traits with the same price as the one-size-fits all for humans. Newer businesses took this advantage right away while only some of the older businesses invested in said equipment. This didn't stop the businesses ran by racist owners but they did slowly die off as their competition was collecting more money than them. While these advantages from the racists attacking the protest happened, it also had a massive disadvantage. Some of the faunus, even the ones not involved with the attack, wanted revenge. It started with attacking the racist organizations that attack faunus but then they started to attack businesses that refuse services to them. Then attacking ones that couldn't afford to pay for new faunus friendly equipment and random humans on the street. The downfall for many rights group has risen in the group, supremacists. Faunus supremacists started to join the group and encourage more violent protests. The High Leader of White Fang the time recognized this but believed his involvement in the defense against racist attackers of protests encourage this behavior. He stepped down and appointed a man that was more peaceful than him, Ghira Belladonna." Again, the group looked back at Blake. William cleared is throat to get their attention back before they started asking her questions.
William continued, "Ghira would continue the peaceful protest but kick out members that started attacks themselves. This slowed it down for awhile but the supremacist were already rooted deep into the organization. After a few years, he was forced to step down and replace with a leader that turned a blind eye to the supremacist actions. Now the White Fang blames actions of individuals as the entire group. Then they did the worst thing possible happened, they attacked the dust supply lines." William was then interrupted by Blake.
"How is that the worst thing possible?! The SDC has oppressed the faunus for years! While it might not exactly be the CEO himself that put in those measures, he didn't do anything to stop it!", shouted Blake with a scowl.
"Do you know where the majority of that dust goes? Who uses it and for what?", questioned William with a disappointed look. Blake lost her scowl and looked at William questioningly.
"It goes to the defense against the grimm. The you use dust yourself to fight. Dust powers our defenses, dust powers the entertainment to keep the populace happy to counteract the negative emotions that would attract grimm to our cities and towns. Ever shipment that doesn't arrive is the increased chance of massacres of people outside the big cities. Not only killing the humans but faunus that live there as well. White Fang was too focused on the SDC that they didn't see the bigger picture. Maybe take a look at the number of villages that have fallen since the White Fang started raiding SDC dust shipments, it increased dramatically. 10% lost throughout the world, Blake. Thousands of lives gone just for a hit to SDC reputation to ship their dust, they didn't loss as much lien as they are insured for thief and grimm attacks. Do you think that was a fair trade, Blake? Did it help the White Fang's reputation? Because any faunus that lives outside of Menagerie hates them. Believes they're insane for attacking the source of their defense against the Grimm threat," responded William to Blake as Blake looked down.
"Now take the bow off, you don't need it anymore. You face harassment, come to me and I'll take care of it," said William before his scroll notified him of a message. He looked at it before standing up and going over to the door. He opened it and let Winter Schnee enter.
"Sister!", shouted Weiss in excitement before standing and starting to go to her. Winter stopped her and told her to stay with her friends. William and Winter made their way to the group.
"No questions for Winter Schnee yet," said William, "I have three more people to introduce you to first and something about this world."
William then gestured for the birds on his shoulders to transform into their original form. The birds flew for a bit before landing into their human forms, Qrow and Raven. The group gasped besides Winter.
Before any of the group could ask questions or Yang to get up to question her mother, William held up his hand to silence them.
"Before you start your questions, I will inform you how they were able to transform into birds and explain the existence of other forms of magic," said William. He would then go into the existence of magic, maidens, and the relics they would have to protect in the future. He even went into the story about Salem and the grimm. How the brother gods exist. He answered all their questions until Ren asked an important one.
"Why are you telling us this? Wouldn't be better to keep us in the dark?"
William looked to Ren before looking at everyone while saying, "I'm informing you about the future you will face now because it will help encourage you to train as hard as you can to stop the grimm. It's to build trust between us."
"Can we actually kill Salem?", asked Pyrrha with a somewhat hopeful tone. This caused the group to look to William for hope.
"No," replied William as the group then deflated, "But, you can remove her grimmification. This should remove her control over the grimm, but I make no guarantees."
"How do we do that?", asked Ruby as she regained hope to stop the grimm.
William look towards her with a smile and said, "It's with you, Ruby. Your silver eyes hold a magic power connected to your soul that petrify grimm. This in theory could turn the grimm parts of Salem into stone and her immortality will allow her to survive it."
"How could Ruby use this power?", asked Yang, taking her eyes off her mother.
"It actives according to her emotions. After the mission of Team STRQ will go on today, you will have someone to teach you. I'll also look into the teacher of Summer getting here from when I was training her," said William as now Qrow and Raven were looking at William in shock.
"I wasn't informed about a mission? Who else could train her than Maria?", asked Qrow as Raven thought for a second before narrowing her eyes at William.
"She isn't dead, is she?", questioned the Spring Maiden as Qrow looked to Raven in surprise before looking back at William with a look of hope. The rest of the group was confused at the response.
"Yes, she is," said William but before he could continue, Raven cut a portal to Tai. Before she and Qrow could collect Tai, William shouted, "But she isn't completely herself right now!"
The twins looked to William. He gestured for them to move from the portal. Before it closed, a blonde man ran through it, at the ready for a fight of his life. Before he could do anything, he looked around in confusion. He was expecting Raven to be trying to flee a fight she couldn't win, not a training room at Beacon.
"Uh, what's going on? I came to help Raven flee and find myself at the old academy," asked Tai as look around, when suddenly he was hit by a red blur.
"Hey dad! Did you miss me?! Did you?! Did you?!", asked Ruby with a big smile on her face as she hugged her father. He hugged her back and said, "Of course I did, Kiddo!"
Yang made her way to her dad with a smile and said, "Hey, dad."
"What are you waiting for, little dragon? Get in here," said Tai as he dragged Yang into the father-daughter group hug. The rest of the group looked at with a smile. Only exception was Raven, who held a sad smile.
"Ok, you three. Time to break it up. I've been interrupted enough today," said William, which caused the three to break it up. Ruby and Yang went back to their spot and sat down. Tai went to stand next to Qrow, giving a fist bump to him. He look to Raven, who he caught staring at him before she looking away with a blush.
'Ha, still got it!', thought Tai with a smirk on his face.
"Now that Tai's here, let me explain how it even happened," said William with a growl towards the three members of Team STRQ, "I had to make a deal with my mother-in-law." Before he could continue TRQ and Winter gasped.
"What do you mean you made a deal with her?!", shouted Raven with a hard glare.
"Are you insane? Do you think she would want that?!", shouted Qrow.
"Who could be so important that you would make a deal for her life?", asked Winter with Tai looking in confusion about who could be so important that William would make a deal with his mother-in-law.
"She lost fair and square to mother. She was also transformed into a grimm creature that is a major threat to other huntsmen. You and the remaining team members of STRQ should know the abilities of silver eyed warriors. I had to give something in return for her safety without having to intervene and have the twin brothers breathing down my neck about their 'Lesson for humanity' that Oz still hasn't learned," said William with air-quotes for the lesson for humanity.
"What are silver eyed warriors and…am I one?", asked Ruby as she looked to her family and William.
"Don't worry, I'll inform you after these three go receive their leader," said William as he pointed his thumb at the Raven, Qrow, and Tai. He then turned back to the mentioned people and said, "Now, talked to Yang and Ruby about Raven's absents from the family. Winter, you can talk to Weiss and help her with summoning grimm."
Winter looked to Weiss shocked as she didn't remember receiving any messages about Weiss unlocking that part of her semblance. Before she could ask Weiss, Ruby shouted, "What do you mean leader of STRQ?! That was mom!"
Yang was now on her feet, eyes glowing red, moving towards William while saying, "Who is this mother of yours that kidnapped mom and where she is?"
William stared down at angry teen and said, "Someone that can wipe the floor with all of you but would most likely have you attack her to see that she won't lose."
"I don't care! I'm getting mom back. So tell me where she is or gain testicular cancer from how hard I'm going to punch you in the nuts!", demanded Yang with the flames from her hair growing.
A dark oppressing presence grew in the room. Everyone backed a way from William besides Yang, even though she faltered a little. The red cracks in William's eyes glowed as he look down at the five foot eight inch girl that dares to make demands of him. A man massacred populations, destroyed galaxies…no, universes, and committed mass genocides in universes for power! While the mass genocides in those universes for power was for power to face the brother gods of his original universe, it still was a genocide. Even if he repopulated them after defeating them with all the people he killed. Well, besides Darkseid, but nobody really cared for him anyways. He committed billions to death because their leaders dared to leave his father's Imperium or reject their authority. But this little girl, barely reaching passed his waist, dared to make demands to him about a family member! William then spoked with a dark tone to his voice that caused the group to move away and Yang to drop her semblance, "You will back down or you can find out if there is an afterlife. I don't owe you shit! You think I care about any of you? I can slaughter all of you and partner with Jaune with the claim that Salem's minions did and give him the power to slay Salem! You are an ant compare to my wives and me! You're lucky I even consider training you. I could every well side with mother fully and enslave this world then move on to the next. I might have fond memories of another you from another world but don't think that means I'll allow you, someone I just met today. I can snap your pretty little neck and remove the memories of everyone here of you!"
As the group was backing away, Tai and Qrow were getting ready to grab Yang and run. Raven had her sword out to ready a portal to get her and Yang out of here. The pressure of the unknown force that seems to leak from William's every being, was keeping them from moving out of fear, just turned into a joyous presences as William laughed out loud.
When the laughter died down, William said, "I'm just Yanging your chain. While I'm not going to be telling you where she is, her teammates will capture her to bring her here. We'll have to wait for Jaune to finish controlling his aura before we can degrimmify her."
"Are you saying mom's a grimm?!", shouted Ruby as her family looked in shock as well.
"Yeah, but don't worry. If you and Jaune can't do it, I'll give you a freebie and undo it myself," said William with a disarming smile, "Anyways, go talk to your family before they leave to retrieve your mom."
Thankfully, the sisters dropped it to talk to their dad, uncle, and mom/step-mom. Weiss went over to Winter to talk about events and train her semblance. William started the rest on excises he believed would fit their fighting style. When Ruby and Yang were done with the explanations to them and hug it out with the three members of Team STRQ, William teleported them to the location that the grimm Summer should be. William then had Ruby and Yang join the excises.
At the end of training, William said, "Good job, kids. Now tomorrow, we'll begin form training. Also, Team RWBY you're going to Team JNPR's room. I won't allow you to sleep with those death traps in the air. I'll build you the bunk beds as you hang out in Team JNPR's room."
"Really!", and "Finally!", came from the the whiterose partners.
As the students went to the Team JNPR dorm room, William sighed and said, "These kids are going to be a pain in the ass."
I'm going to stop here. This went on far longer and I had to much fun for a story that is supposed to only be background. Though I did add the White Fang diss from what I planned to use in my first story. We are constantly told how important dust is to fight the grimm yet we don't see the consequences of dust not arriving on time to the towns outside the major cities. So I decided to give a preview to it. The Jacques backstory is all me and this story. Why did I make it? So it's more believable for Willow to marry him and have three children. It also makes Jacques seem more realistic and being able to actually date Willow. It also would show how much pressure it would be to run the company that the world depends on to fight the grimm.
It's the King's suit from Fable 3
Next one-shots: Warhammer 40k (harem, high William presence at beginning for the official story but he fucks off for the rest of the story if I make it)
Warhammer Fantasy (War of Roses, William appears at the very beginning but has little presence for the rest.) I actually did calculations for the size of the capital city for the Empire and how the Remnant Kingdoms of the show are only one-third of the planet. The Empire and Grimmlands is the other thirds. Basically all huntsmen are nobles and royalty. (Ranks would be from top down: Kings or Emperor, Dukes, Counts, Viscounts, Barons, and Lords)
The Arranged Marriage (WK with extras, William would just be setting up the arranged marriage) I might just make this a smut fic over on AO3 for shits and giggles.
The Civil War of Beacon (Story that would have been added to the Hero of Remnant as a parody of Beacon Civil War but Jaune has the Fable powers, still can get his ass kick by RWBY+NP as William and Jaune train (also with for Jaune) them. So they pretty much gang up on him, even with Ren that has similar training still leads to 6 against 2. None of the other students even compare to the strength, skill, or speed of them.)
Prototype of Grimm Academy (Prototype game parody of My Abominable Monster Classmates Can't be This Cute which is a RWBY parody of Rosario+Vampire) Basically uses the setting of My Abominable Monster Classmates Can't be This Cute but with Jaune given Blacklight and taught by William, who is under the command of Salem, on how to use that power.
Salem's Blacklight Family (Basically the civil war between Ozma and Salem grows with a family under them. Every dark with massacres of towns and huntsmen. Assassinations and replacement of high officials. More schemes than shown in RWBY by a long shot)
Still coming up with names for Naruto, Dragonball, and Predator powers for Jaune and friends.
The next one-shot would be the third story I would write after the Hero of the Imperium story of William Black going to Warhammer 40k Universe with Rayleen, Freya, Jenna, and Kaguya. Pskyer Lord Inquisitor Jaune Arc of the Ordo Hereticus, son to the Lord General Militant Alexander Arc and Canoness Superior Julia Arc, would be first in line for Abbess Santorum if not for her desire to join the battlefield. His seven sister would easily rise to the rank Canoness in the different orders, some going to the Hospitaller Orders. How did they get this far? It's 40k, some guy was Lord Inquisitor with no one knowing who he was for the "months of shame" campaign. Also, they're the son, wife of said son, and grandchildren of the head Primarch and first 'Son'(only because blacklight allows the emperor's blood to flow in him) William Black and Archangel, Saint Jenna Arc. The sear resources and political support someone would have from people in those positions would be limitless. Just stating their name would gather support from every world asked. Though the story would take place in the 44th millennium. This means the original space marines would have all been replace with the new primaris space marines. Even though the Imperium would get a major boost from a guy that has advanced knowledge of Forerunner tech and advancements. Also the cause of the dark age of technology and creator of the AI that lead to the turning of the Men of Iron. Too busy dick measuring with Khaine before the eye of terror creation and his avatars after the eye of terror creation to be stopping morons that think they can 'improve' the AI. Another failure by keeping Logar's religious views secret from Father through manipulation of the Warp and not reporting it as he was the one in charge of the spy network. He also oversaw the chaos corruption in the Imperium so his disappearance from the warp storm on his secret shield world that had a slip-space portal to vast spaces of land (Onyx installation from Halo) with over a diameter of over two astronomical units inside the portal while the outside only shows twenty-three centimeters. Of course the outside size can be changed all the way to the inside size. With the planet in the warp, William had to build a golden throne like structure, split his power to run it and protect the world while also fighting the daemons on the surface of the planet with the his space marine divisions and guardsmen. Gather his brothers in the warp and their souls from the Chaos gods. Save an Eldar goddess to help Father heal and gain alliance with Eldar. Reunite with lovers. Save the imperium and take responsibility with the throne, cutting off half his power a second time. Fight metaphorically endless Tyranids and Orks, try to integrate T'au(fails because he created the Ethereals and their technology to fight Chaos for humanity), and used his power to make Humanity almost invincible for two months to retake worlds, moved new forces, and awaken brothers that are still in known location (Lion and Roboute). Though, thankfully that is the writing for the second story. The one-shot would only be about a battle on a planet that is being invaded by Chaos that leads to William having to protect Jaune from the warp and appear on Remnant. How Remnant is there and why William can't just warp portal them out is for later(It's the fucking Warp and Necron bullshit). A few moments through the huntsman school with Lord Inquisitor Jaune and Friends. The Fall of Beacon part will be the largest part with the most action.
I'll focus more on that story if people Review and PM their support for it over the timeline of Hero of Remnant that explains the history of William Black and how he got from multi-continental to multi-universal in power(technically Tier 0 according to battle wiki but only when using certain power that will be explained in the timeline). As to why he isn't Tier 0 all the time is because as the rule maker, he can place rules on himself to lower his tier. While he could access Tier 0 at anytime, he will have to want to do that. There is just no reason to have all that power. Even Tier 1 individuals don't use full power and limit themselves. But all that discussion would be made in the timeline author note to understand the fanon.
I try to stick to canon with added understanding of canon. Like why the White Fang is seen as bad and why Jacques's personality is the way in canon instead of "just cause" like the lore tries to push. A lot of these are just there to try and fill in the blanks that the lore has.
Review if you want, I'll try to respond to any questions. I would prefer PM for questions because I can answer them faster than by posting chapters with the answers at the top but not everyone has an account on this site.
