Chapter 11:

"Basically, that's pretty much the end of it", the Doctor concluded.

The three girls who were once attentive by the Doctor's narrative are still stunned by what they just heard. Gitano is still processing what she just heard, not even sure if Specter is exactly that kind of person that the Doctor described her to be. Nightingale just finished most of her meal and is now just staring blankly at the Doctor. She doesn't feel any resentment towards him after his story but she did feel a bit off. Specter on the other hand seemed to be murmuring to herself, sounding quite nervous or rather frantic about something. However, when the Doctor noticed her ramblings, he just placed his hand on her shoulder. Somewhat like reassuring her that he meant no prejudice towards her odd demeanor.

Specter saw this as pleasing and calming for her. While she may be one of the oddballs under the Doctor's squad, he still treats her as an equal. And one who still doesn't shy away if ever her mental state breaks down for a moment. She is ever truly grateful she made this decision. Or rather, a decision that Kal'tsit unknowingly made a favor for her. It still stands that she has to fight her way through. However, that's not a problem for her. After all, she has her own kind of faith.

The Doctor on the other hand, well, he is certainly starving. Not after seeing all 3 people chow down on a grand breakfast meal that he has not eaten for about days now. His stomach grumbled, and as it did, he tried to press down his arm on it trying not to sound rude. But the three girls paid it no attention, and instead felt pity or an understanding that the Doctor's order still hasn't arrived yet.

On a side note, hoping to distract the Doctor more, Gitano then asked him, "By the way, Doctor, since time has passed, I believe your attitude towards Specter changed, has it?"

The slightly groggy Doctor answered, "Oh, yeah. It doesn't matter anyway, Specter's still Specter, nothing to it.

Gitano giggled then slightly faced Nightingale who looked uneasy. She nodded at her, gesturing that it was okay, and after hearing the Doctor's words, she felt as if her worries are now over. But just then, someone stood by behind the Doctor that caught the two girl's attention.

"Good Morning, Miss Amiya", Gitano greeted the standing behind him.

"Oh, Miss Gitano", she noticed, walking a bit closer to their table. "Fancy seeing you here along with Miss Specter and Miss Nightingale".

The two girls both bowed their heads slightly which pleased Amiya with their gesture. Gitano then spoke, "Dr. Kal'tsit told me to look after them but they're not much of a handful to look after".

Amiya tried to cover her short giggle with her hand. "I see that you three are all getting along all together. But most importantly, have you guys seen the Doctor?".

The three of them suddenly had a spark in their mind. They thought, 'How could she not see him on the table'. Nightingale, who looked down to stare at the napping Doctor, pointed at him that caught Amiya's attention.

"D-doctor?", she gasps as she follows Nightingale's finger pointing at him. "Doctor, please wake up!".

"Ah-.. Amiya... is that you...?", his muffled voice echoed on the table.

"Why hasn't the food I ordered arrived yet?", she worriedly asked him, placing her hand on his shoulder while he is still face-planted on the table.

"What... what do you mean, 'you ordered'? My order of meals still hasn't arrived too", he lazily said.

"Your ord- Ahh, I wasn't able to tell you awhile ago", she sounded apologetic. "I told Gummy to relay to you that I ordered beforehand for us but when I got here, she's nowhere to be found".

"Wait... you ordered beforehand for us? But I ordered for us a while after", he tried to face Amiya but instead faced her sideways, his head still on the table.

Amiya sighed with a somewhat defeated expression, "Well, I guess we're getting double the meals today".

"A neat bonus for me then, Miss Amiya", the Doctor suddenly straightened up, feeling excited about the whole double breakfast that was coming.

She then giggled and excused herself to take a seat beside the Doctor. To which Gitano was pleased to accept. Amiya then asked them or Gitano in particular how she and the two came to be, sitting together by the table they are on. Gitano began, narrating how she came across him sitting by the very table they are on. She had just finished ordering food along with the two she was assigned to look after when she saw a familiar hooded character seated alone. Then that was where it all started off. She even included his stories about his earlier meetings with Nightingale and Specter, which might have abashed the Doctor due to his comments towards the two girls from that time. But Amiya paid it no mind. In fact, she just chuckled it off as amusing and relieving of the Doctor to have thought of such things.

After Gitano had finished, it was Amiya's turn to tell her side of the story. But first, she apologized to the Doctor is also listening in on what they were all discussing on. She said how once she left his office, she quickly went to the cafeteria to pre-order and then straight to the shower, forgetting to contact him altogether about what he's supposed to tell him. Besides, Dr. Kal'tsit told her before that cellphones are not allowed during work hours, and that hers is usually placed somewhere in her room she'd usually forget.

With or without Amiya's explanation or apology, the Doctor passed it off as nothing to worry about. He said that if something had happened, he knew that Amiya already had it under control. Or well, more or less he trusts Amiya's judgment on whichever decisions she makes.

"Ehehe, thank you, Doctor", she nodded with a smile.

Amiya continues, asking Ethan on the counter to call out to Gummy since she needs something from her to pre-order the prepared breakfast of the day. "I told her, I'd order for myself a dish of poached eggs and bacon, and for the Doctor, a nice hot hash-brown and two cooked sausages.

This surprised the Doctor for some reason. He thought, 'What did I order again for myself?'. His mind then raced to recall whatever it was he ordered not too long ago. Then it hit him, 'Why are the ones that I ordered always a coincidence?', he thought. He tried to contemplate on the weird turn of events but turned it off now that his head started to hurt.

The Doctor shook it off as a mere minor accident. Nothing to be of any greater harm than not being able to eat plenty. Although, stuffing themselves before they get right back to work might prove to be a hindrance. He hopes that someone would pass by them, better if they still haven't ordered food yet and are still in search of a table to sit by. Of course, about two or three people more can occupy the table they are seated on.

And that was when his aimless glancing around the cafeteria locked on to someone who just so happens to be finding a place to sit on. While Amiya continues her story and keeps the others company, the Doctor focused on these two rather familiar people, er, operators. He frowned, trying to assume he is getting a closer look at them. But it was already evident. The ones he is eyeing are a brown-haired girl, her hair reaching just above her brownish-white coat that's about above her knees and her facial expression looking a bit less energetic than any person would be on a morning; and with her, a Sarkaz girl who followed her around wherever they went. The Sarkaz girl seemed to be younger than the other one. Her blonde hair seemed to glisten from the ceiling lights, and her eyes were reddish-orange, similar to the way she manipulates the flames she makes.

Luckily, the two of them aren't that far away from the Doctor's table and decided to call out to them once they are near enough so that he can limit his voice in the cafeteria when he does. While he did so, he lowly waved his right hand back and forth behind Amiya, so as not to let her easily notice. Ifrit is the first one to notice. Her wandering eyes seem to glance at any moving direction, and the Doctor's waving was just one of the many movements she's spotted. Silence paid it no mind. She's concentrated on where she and Ifrit can dine in while not being a nuisance to the others. Surely if she found a spacious table with about a few people sitting around, she hopes that it won't be much of any trouble for them. For Silence, it started to sound like a pain for her.

"Silence, hey, Silence", says Ifrit while she continues to tug on her coat.

Breaking up her thoughts, she then faces Ifrit instead of the tables and people around her, "What's up?".

Ifrit then points towards the direction of the Doctor who has now stopped waving and is now silently looking at them. "A weird guy over there's trying to call us over".

Frowning a bit, Silence scanned the direction left to right where Ifrit is pointing at. At first, she didn't notice Ifrit's description of a 'weird guy' who was inviting them. But when the moving crowd began to slowly dissipate, her eyes landed on the Doctor who is now fanning his hand at them, gesturing at them to come to him.

"Th-that's not some weird guy. That's the Doctor!", she said, surprised.

"Woah!", Ifrit exclaims. Silence immediately grabbed Ifrit's hand and the two of them walk over to which table the Doctor is seated by.
