A couple of minutes later, Raven was in a meeting with Briar and Faybelle up in her room.
"Someone cursed Apple to fall out of love with you?!" asked a shocked Briar.
"Yeah, and they used a poisoned apple to do so," said Raven while showing them the fruit.
"I don't recognize the magic from this apple," said Faybelle who had used her own magic to try and sense the traces left on the red fruit.
"Same, which can only mean one of two things," said Raven.
"It's someone outside the school or someone who has gained magic and is hiding it," said Briar.
"But how do we go about finding this person, they have gone to far lengths to hide their magic so far and I doubt they will be dumb enough to reveal it now," said Faybelle.
"We start with who delivered the basket, Hopper," said Raven. After finding Hopper, the three girls pulled him into an empty classroom.
"I don't remember who gave me the basket," said Hopper.
"The whole morning is really a blur to me," he said while placing a hand to his head and looking down at the floor with a confused expression.
"Sounds like the culprit spelled him to forget," said Briar.
"I think I can help him to get through the fog in his memory," said Faybelle.
"Do what you need to, because if I had something to do with what happened to Apple then I have to know," said Hopper. Faybelle then stood before him with a hand on either side of Hopper's head as her hand glowed with her magic.
"Now focus, what is the first thing you can remember from this morning?" asked Faybelle.
"Getting ready for school and trying to get Daring to go to class," said Hopper.
"This is where the fog in your memory starts, I'm going to try and force it to the surface so focus on it," said Faybelle.
"I… I had to go back because I forgot something," said Hopper as an expression of discomfort overcame his face.
"Wait, Daring," he said as the discomfort grew.
"What about him?" asked Raven.
"He… he had an apple in his hand… and a golden aura was around that hand," said Hopper before pulling away from Faybelle.
"Daring has magic?" asked all of the girls at the same time.
